The words' 36 Hours Earlier' appeared on the screen, along with someone speaking who they couldn't see just yet.

Some were still crying, understandably so. No matter how much they didn't like - even outright hating - Deku, they never would have wished something like this upon anyone.

The only good thing was that they no longer had to watch that. It was over and there wouldn't be any more terror-filled moments.

"Tony Stark. Visionary. Genius. American patriot."

Bakugou whipped around to face the green-haired duo. "You're American?"

Midoriya looked at the blonde with confusion, shaking his head. "No, my dad was. Mom is Japanese and I'm half."

Bakugou turned back to the screen in shock. Why had he never known? The little voice in the back of his head told him that he never asked and after Izuku turned out to be quirkless he hadn't cared to find out. He tried to push that voice down. He didn't need to know anything about the nerd, but Deku should have told him. He deserves to know these things, after all.

"Even from an early age, the son of legendary weapons developer Howard Stark quickly stole the spotlight with his brilliant and unique mind."

"At age four, he built his first circuit board," a photo of four-year-old Tony holding a circuit board.

"At age six, his first engine," a photo of six-year-old Tony next to an engine.

"And at 17, he graduated summa cum laude from MIT," a photo of Tony with a degree.

"Okay," one student began. "How is that possible?" When others turned to stare at them in question, they continued. "There is no one I can think of that could do that, so I reiterate. How is that possible?"

Looking at the Midoriya's proved futile as they weren't listening to them. The two were watching the paused screen, watching the husband and father they hadn't gotten the chance to spend more time with.

"Then, the passing of a titan," a photo of Howard Stark, followed by a magazine cover of Tony and an older, balding man standing behind him, both facing away from the other.

"Howard Stark's lifelong friend and ally, Obadiah Stane, steps in to help fill the gap left by the legendary founder, until, at age 21, the prodigal son returns and is anointed the new CEO of Stark Industries."

Sure, it was easy to know that someone would have to be 21 to take up the mantle of CEO of a company, but that didn't negate the fact that Tony Stark could have taken over earlier. That was what shocked the class.

"With the keys to the kingdom, Tony ushers in a new era for his father's legacy, creating smarter weapons, advanced robotics, satellite targeting. Today, Tony Stark has changed the face of the weapons industry by ensuring freedom and protecting America and her interests around the globe," a black man is shown at a podium and holding a trophy.

Even the few who wanted to target the man due to his business venture couldn't deny that his weapons were impressive. Terrifying, sure, but terrifying nonetheless.

"As liaison to Stark Industries, I've had the unique privilege of serving with a real patriot. He is my friend and he is my great mentor. Ladies and gentlemen, it is my honour to present this year's Apogee Award to Mr. Tony Stark," he finishes his speech, looking around for the man who was not there.

"Tony?"

"Who is that and where is Tony?"

Inko chuckles kindly, "That is Colonel James Rhodes of the U.S. Airforce and best friend to Tony Stark." She smiles softly at the memory. "As for where Tony is, you will see."

Obadiah takes a glance around, noticing the same thing Rhodes did and rushes up to the podium. Accepting the trophy handed to him with a smile. "Thank you, Colonel."

"Thanks for the save," Rhodes responds, leaving to take his seat in the crowd.

Even with the smiles on the faces of Rhodes and Obadiah, it was clear to the students and teacher that neither of the Midoriya's appreciated seeing the older man. Something happened and they didn't know if they wanted to see it.

He admires the trophy with a grin, "This is beautiful. Thank you." He now addresses the crowd in front of him. "Thank you all very much. This is wonderful. Well, I'm not Tony Stark. But if I were Tony, I would tell you how honoured I feel and what a joy it is to receive this very prestigious award. Tony, you know…" he chuckles. "The best thing about Tony is also the worst thing, He's always working."

Tony is seen in a casino rolling some dice. "Work it! Come on!"

While Inko sighed fondly, Izuku was laughing at the looks on his classmate's faces. Even his teacher was snickering into his hand! Izuku had figured that his teacher knew of his father by this point. He wanted to find out how much his teacher knew about what happened during the life of Anthony Edward Stark.

He smiles at the woman beside him and says, "We should just stay till the morning."

"You are unbelievable," Rhodes says, frustratedly walking over to his friend.

"Oh, no!" Tony begins with fake sympathy. "Did they rope you into this?"

Rhodes looks indigent at that, "Nobody roped me into anything!"

Someone snickered. "Their friendship is quite amusing." Inko couldn't help but agree. She hadn't appreciated her husband's eccentricities when they hadn't been together, but to see it again… That brought a smile to her face. She just hoped she wouldn't have to live through his end alone. Though, with Izuku here with her, of course, she wouldn't. Staring down at the sunshine she gave birth to many years before, she holds him tight. Never wanting to let him go like she had to let Tony go.

Tony looks up at his friend, this time with real sympathy in his voice. "I'm so sorry." The sympathy in his voice was still there even if his focus wasn't on his friend but rather on the table in front of him.

"He doesn't look too sorry," a boy mutters.

"You can't speak," his friend elbows him in the ribs. "You can't take your eyes off the table, the same as him" As the boy blushes the rest of his classmates laugh goodnaturedly.

Izuku was glad and disappointed all the same. He was glad that no one was being cruel, but disappointed because anytime something happened with him they were quick to be the cruelest people he knew. It hurt to know that all it really took was him not having a quirk to believe he was unevolved and therefore not useful to society. As if his intelligence wasn't enough. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough for people. His 'disease' was enough to cause others to steer clear of him or only get close to make sure he was always lying down to be the doormat of humanity.

Rhodes moves the trophy closer to Tony, "But they told me that if I presented you with an award, you'd be deeply honoured."

Tony doesn't seem to notice the trophy as he begins to shake the dice in his hands, "Of course, I'd be deeply honoured. And it's you, that's great. So, when do we do it?"

"It's right here," Rhodes hands Tony the trophy. "Here you go." Tony takes the trophy with an uncomfortable look.

"There it is," Tony looks at it, something akin to boredom. "That was easy," he looks back to Rhodes. "I'm so sorry."

"Does he not want the award?"

"There's no way," one of Bakugou's lackeys speaks. "Who wouldn't want an award?"

Inko scoffs, drawing attention to herself. "My husband never liked receiving them. Said they only sat there gathering dust and were made of useless metal. Couldn't melt it down to use for anything worthwhile."

To say many were surprised would be an understatement.

The man just nods with a faint smile. He knows his friend hadn't done it on purpose. "Yeah, it's okay."

"Wow!" Tony takes a closer look. "Would you look at that? That's something else. I don't have any of those floating around." Tony places the trophy on the floor beside him, going back to the table. "Uh, we're gonna let it ride! Give me a hand will you? Give me a little something-something." The woman blows on his hand with the dice clenched inside.

Some blush while others cringe in disgust. Not out of how he's acting, but that they had to watch it. Little did they know, things would get worse before it got better in that aspect. Unfortunately for them, neither Inko, Izuku, nor their teacher wanted to tell them. Due to it being a documentary, the teacher knew it wouldn't show anything too explicit, so he was fine with not warning his students.

"Okay," he faces Rhodes with a shit-eating grin. "You, too." He holds his dice hand out for his friend.

Many choke on their saliva as they laugh. That was not what they had expected.

Rhodes looks irritated at the suggestion, "I don't blow on another man's dice."

"Come on, honey bear." Tony goaded, never losing his grin.

"I don't blow on a man's dice," Rhodes reiterates before knocking the dice in Tony's hand away causing them to roll.

Tony looks excited, "There it is. Lieutenant Colonel Rhodes rolls! And…"

The teacher leaned forward, curious to see what would happen. He wasn't the only one, seeing as many other students did so as well.

"Two craps," the dealer states, pulling the dice back in. "Line away."

Rhodes however looks satisfied, "That's what happens."

Izuku giggles, "Uncle Rhodey looks so satisfied."

"He was," Inko tells her son, ruffling his hair even as he groans trying to push her hand away.

Tony, on the other hand, does seem phased. "Worse things have happened. I think we're gonna be fine." He grins at both Rhodes and the dealer. "Color me up, will ya?"

A while later Tony and Rhodes are walking out of the casino with another man. He seemed to be someone who worked for Tony.

"This is where I exit," Rhodes says as they get closer to where his car is parked.

Tony nods, patting his friend on the shoulder in farewell. "All right."

Before entering his car, Rhodes turns back to Tony, pointing a finger at the man's chest. "Tomorrow, don't be late," he states sternly.

"Yeah," Tony nods. "You can count on it."

"He doesn't sound like he would be on time for whatever tomorrow holds," one student says mysteriously. Everyone else rolled their eyes at her. She had always been weird like that. Though, they did agree with her. They believed he wasn't going to be on time.

Tony didn't sound truthful to Rhodes as he grew frustrated. "I'm serious!"

"See?" She points at Rhodes. "He understands."

"No one was disagreeing with you, though?"

"I know, I know," Tony is finally allowed to leave for his vehicle with the other man. He stops however when he sees a man dressed as Julius Caesar. Handing him the trophy without looking back he quotes, "Render unto Caesar, that which is Caesar's. There you go."

"Did he just give the award to a random person?" The girl was shocked. Why would he have done that? Sure, Mrs. Midoriya had said he hadn't liked awards but surely he would have at least kept the ones he did receive, right? The answer was no.

They're not that far from their car before they are drawn back by a woman.

"Now, who is this lady?"

Inko was glaring at the woman. She had completely forgotten about Christine Everhart, she simply hadn't been important enough for her to remember. Inko didn't feel bad about thinking that, after everything she had done to Tony over the years. No, Inko would not feel bad about this. "That woman is not worth the name she was given."

Izuku was shocked. He had never heard his mother despise someone before, and neither had Bakugou. That alone was enough to send shivers down their spines and let everyone know that this woman was bad news. Or, at least, she did something to cause Mrs. Midoriya to practically spit venom at the mention of the woman.

That worried them of what was to come.
