[LOG FILE #023 – DARK AGON WASTES, DARK AETHER]
I stepped onto the surface of Dark Aether. Thankfully my landing zone was protected by a light crystal, yet I still knew that I would be anything but safe once I stepped outside the safety of the light. I decided to look around and gather my bearings while scanning the new area for anything useful.
First thing I spotted were two Space Pirate corpses right outside the light I was inside. Bioscans confirmed that they had been attacked, leading to their terminations. I hoped my odds were more in my favor, and then my eyes were drawn to a low cliff opposite the area I arrived in. There was another Dark Temple Key up on it. Having one already in my possession, this one seemed a little too convenient.
My worries were unfounded though. The only hostile lifeform in the space was a Dark Preed, so with a bit of terrain navigation I acquired the second key to the Dark Agon Temple. The door directly behind it led to a dead end, as another door on the other side required light energy to access. Perhaps another weapon like the Dark Beam could be found in the area…
I backtracked to the area where I dropped in. I saw another locked door which could be accessed with my Dark Beam. This direction eventually led to a familiar sight: a Recharge Station. I gladly took the opportunity to top off my suit's power, as the oppressive atmosphere of Dark Aether was beginning to take its toll. I didn't stay long, as I knew there was more work to be done…
