[LOG FILE #026 – AGON WASTES, AETHER]
Returning to the Space Pirate base on Aether didn't take long. Now that I was equipped with the light and dark beams, there were new areas that I could access both inside and outside the run-down facility of my foes.
Making my way back toward the base's main entrance I decided to exit via the upper level of the control center. This led me to a couple of Vigilance turrets that I had seen on my initial infiltration of the base. Turning on my scan visor I also noticed some nearby rock formations that looked structurally compromised. This, naturally, gave me an idea.
I entered the gunner seat of the turret and fired a blast at the weaker sections of rock, revealing a path that led to something extremely useful: an ammo expansion. This didn't increase my reserve supply of missiles, but it DID increase the ammo capacity for my light and dark beams. Further exploration of the Wastes around the Temple sector turned up a few other useful supplies; a couple of missile expansions and another energy tank. Extra firepower and survivability were always welcome in my book.
Having gathered all that I could for the time being, I headed back to the portal generator chamber and activated the device, stepping into the eventual portal to go to Dark Aether yet again…
