Chapter XXVII.
Last Time.
Nora and Ren sit on the edge of the open rescue airship, their legs dangling. Nora is looking out at the city, feeling happy. Ren is watching her and begins smiling.
City.
Ruby walks into a double bed accommodation room. Qrow sleeps under the blankets of one of the beds. Ruby sets the collapsed Crescent Rose on the empty bed and walks over to Qrow, putting her hand on his head. She walks over and sits at the desk, picking up the pen and writing on the notepad.
Later, Bar.
Qrow fully healed sat at a bar holding Ozpin's cane.
"Excuse me?"
Qrow turns around to face Oscar. "You know, I don't think they allow kids in here, pipsqueak."
Oscar looks at his left arm as it moves. "Shut up, I'm getting there." Qrow gives him a questioning look at that. "Um, I'm supposed to tell you, I'd like my cane back?"
Qrow's eyes widen for a moment in surprise. "It's good to see you again, Oz."
Qrow withdraws Ozpin's Cane in its compact mode and tosses it to Oscar, who presses a button on the hilt, extending the baton. Oscar grasps the baton with the other hand, surprised, before looking at Qrow with a determined face.
Now.
Haven.
"I'm coming!"
Ruby yelled out as both Yang and Weiss were in the room with the others with Naruto's team.
Yang's wearing a tan jacket with orange lining and gold edging unzipped halfway to show an orange crop top. The coat has darker brown short sleeves, a thick collar that completely encircles her neck, and two long gold-trimmed rectangular tails. She also has fitted black pants, and around her hips and over the tails of her coat is a brown belt, which has two pieces of dark brown material trimmed in gold attached to it.
The first covers from her left hip to the back of the belt and is folded over the belt, and the second is attached from the right hip and almost around to the other piece of material. She has on knee-high brown boots with gold caps on the heel and toe, with the heel cap attached to a gold strap across the front of her ankle and a gold zipper on the upper half of the front of the boots.
A single small buckled strap is on the upper outside of her boots, and a purple bandanna is tied around her left knee. A pair of black fingerless gloves with long brown cuffs reaching mid-forearm complete the outfit.
Weiss is wearing a short, glittering dress with a color gradation of gray-blue to pale blue at the hem, a sweetheart neckline, and a white, tulle petticoat. A white sash is wrapped multiple times around her waist, and over the outfit is worn a slightly sheer long-sleeved gray-blue bolero fastened at the collar with a large sapphire broach that has three pendants dangling from it. Printed on the back of the shrug is the Schnee Crest. Completing her attire are gray-blue wedge heels and sapphire drop earrings.
Haru's wearing a black tux with a white undershirt.
Natsu's wearing a black coat with a hood up, matching pants, and red armor on his arms with red boots.
Shiki's wearing a black bodysuit with some silver armor over his chest shoulders and waist with matching knee-high boots. He also has a black metallic-looking eyepatch over his left eye after losing it in the battle of Beacon.
Ruby looks and gasps as she drops the tea tray and its contents, which shatter on the floor. She stares in disbelief at the sight of not only Qrow but of her older sisters Yang and Weiss before Yang approaches her. "Yang, I... I'm so sorry! I- I should've stayed, and I should've talked to you more! I'd- I just… I wasn't sure if you wanted me around and-"
Suddenly, Yang gives her a strong hug. Ruby's lips quiver, and she looks toward her sister. "I love you.
Ruby sobs as she leans into her sister's hug. "I love you too."
Jaune, Ren, and Nora enter the room, smiling at the sight of the two sisters embracing each other. Qrow smiles as Oscar enters the room. "Uh..."
He looks up, sees Ruby and Yang hugging, and smiles. Weiss smiles as she wipes a tear from her eye, before frowning while looking down. "Weiss."
Weiss looks up and sees the two sisters open their arms up for her. She smiles and eagerly joins them in their hug. Everyone smiles as they watch three of the four Team RWBY members embrace each other.
"What'd we miss?"
They turned to see Naruto and Pyrrha at the door. "Foxy!"
Naruto lost his balance Nora jumped on him wrapping her arms and legs around him before shoving her tongue down his throat for a kiss.
As Naruto pulled back and let her down, he looked at his team. "Why a tux?"
"Haru shrugged at that. "Clothes got torn in a fight then when shopping, we came across Coco who got one for the whole team. Since the towers were down, she couldn't contact you and said she sent them to your last known address."
"He would have gotten another set but we've been busy," Shiki said crossing his arms.
"... OK."
Later, they all have dinner together, sharing stories of what they have been up to since they last saw each other. Weiss on training with Naruto's team, Yang on meeting her mom before coming.
Ren then reflects on how everyone has changed and grown in their ways in comparison to when they all started at Beacon Academy, and that they will only continue growing. Qrow Branwen complains about all the noise the kids are making.
Later on, Yang and Weiss fill in on what the others currently know, including information about the Maidens, magic, and Salem. Yang confronts Ozpin about him giving her mother and uncle their abilities to transform, to which Qrow responds that they made their choice. Ozpin then shares that aside from his curse, he has the benefit of using magic himself, although said magic is currently dwindling.
He shared a small amount of power with Qrow and Raven to give them their transformation abilities and shared a large amount centuries ago with four young women who would become the first Maidens. He then offers everyone a choice to stay and fight or leave. Everyone chooses to stay, but Yang demands that Ozpin stop keeping secrets from them and he agrees.
"Then I gotta say something."
"What? Are you reincarnated?" Natsu asked looking over as Naruto nodded having everyone look at him in shock.
"Yeah, though this is what I looked like before… Same for my parents as well. I'm still relearning my powers though."
"You mean Semblances?" Haru asked as Naruto shook his head.
"No, Chakra… I'm not originally from this world…. Though mine had a Salem of its own that I had to beat."
"Ooh. Raven? Qrow? They're birds! Cracked it!"
Naruto turned as his girlfriend spoke up getting him to blink as she crossed her legs and smiled. "Her?" Shiki asked as Naruto shrugged. "You know what they said about being with a crazy woman, right?"
"The sex is good?" Naruto asked as Nora smiled
Later, Naruto was outside with Ozpin. "Was that everything?"
Naruto looked over at Ozpin. "Yeah, though with the Grimm and the negative emotions they have is giving Kurama power… Says he'll get another tail…."
"What?"
"The Ten-Tails is what Kaguya needed to take over my world… Guess I'm a little worried about what'll happen."
"Come on Naruto, we're partners now."
"I know, just don't know what Salem's capable of is all." Naruto thought to Kurama.
"Hopefully beating her will be like a hive mind ending."
Branwen Tribe Camp.
At the Branwen Tribe camp's entrance, three bandits stand guard, conversing with each other. Suddenly, a voice calls out from the forest.
"Hey ugly!"
With the bandits' attention drawn, Mercury, and Emerald, walk out from the forest toward the camp's entrance. "Is Raven Branwen home?"
"Ya know, I've had a real bad week. So I think I'm gonna take it out on you-"
The man stops mid-sentence when he notices Cinder and Arthur walk out of the forest and join the two of them. "Hmph, doesn't look like he wants to cooperate, Boss." Mercury crossed his arms at that.
"Then make him."
"I was hoping you'd say that."
Emerald proceeds forward as the other bandits hold their ground while Emerald unsheathes Thief's Respite, twirling them before they transform into their sickle forms.
Haven, Morning.
"You're up early."
Yang fully dressed walked over to his sister who was sitting on the deck looking at the sunrise. "Hey, sis."
"Boop."
Yang lets her hair down and uses it to tickle her little sister's nose. Ruby giggles affectionately at her older sister's action. Ruby then sits up as Yang sits down next to her. "What are you doing up?" Ruby asked as Yang sat down beside her
"Can't fall back to sleep."
"Ah, me neither."
"Well, fortunately, coffee exists."
They turned to see Naruto and Weiss walk up with a tray of coffee. "No, please!"
"Don't worry, I put in blasphemous amounts of cream and sugar, just for you," Naruto said as he crouched and kissed her forehead handing her a cup.
"Can't believe we're actually in Mistral," Yang commented as Naruto sat between the sisters and had Weiss sit between his legs as Yang and Ruby rested their heads on his shoulders.
"That's what you can't believe?" Ruby asked as Yng hummed.
"Well, yeah! And all the other magic and stuff and our… Predicament. But... Okay, you know what I mean!"
"I honestly wasn't sure if I'd ever see you two again," Weiss said taking a sip.
"Well, here's to defying expectations."
Yang and Weiss clink cups together, while Ruby gulps her cup down in one go, opening one eye to glance at the others' cups.
"I just wish Blake could be here with us."
Menagerie.
In Menagerie, Blake and Sun Wukong prepare to go recruiting again, but Blake receives a note from Ilia Amitola to meet with her alone. At first, Blake believes that Ilia regrets her actions in the White Fang, but the meeting turns out to be an ambush, and Blake is subdued by Ilia and her cohorts. Ilia then reveals to Blake that she plans to kill her parents and send Blake to Adam Taurus.
Before she leaves, Ilia confesses that she had romantic feelings for Blake in the past, but Blake had been too busy going after Adam to notice. However, Blake had anticipated the meeting would go wrong and had brought Sun. Just as she is about to be taken away, Blake calls out to Sun, and together, they knock out her captors.
Both of them rush to aid Blake's parents, who are fending off an attack by White Fang insurgents led by Corsac and Fennec Albain.
Haven.
"Oh, what to do?"
Naruto asked as he, Shiki, and Haru grinned at the still-sleeping Natsu without his shirt on showing several scars. "I know, this is a silver platter," Haru said as they looked down.
Outside, Yang sits alone on a bed looking at the "New Friends!" photo of Team RWBY before hearing a noise.
"Quiet!"
Blinking, she looked up to see Naruto and the others carrying Natsu who was on a mattress. "Don't ask," Naruto said as they past Pyrrha having Naruto kiss her on the cheek.

A quick review of volume 9. Wasn't a big fan as it feels like filler for the close to 2 year wait and not a fan of Yang and Blake because I remember reading that the creator had no intention of putting anyone on the team together with another because they see each other as sisters and it would be weird.
So if that's true I think it's disrespectful to do it after he sadly passed on
Next to be updated will be Shinobi as I'll start over on publish order.
