Chapter 18
— Many only saw the hero, but never the child who was under the armor. A child who longed for the same thing as many orphans, a family. —
Fragment of Chapter XXXII -The Last Son of Akatosh- of the book «The history of the Heroes of Doom» written by Tolfdir, Arch-mage of the College of Winterhold.
Throat of the World - Turdas 18 of Last Seed of 01 of the Fifth era
Asia walked tightly hugging her daughter while feeling the cold air on the parts of her face that were not protected by her hood. Edzard was in front of her with a backpack in which were stored all the possessions that would go with them to Earth.
It had been a week since they left their home in the mountains of Markarth. They had traveled by night from Markarth to Falkreath. From there they took a path that led through the ruins of Helgen to the Rift hold. Once in the Rift, they turned north and passed the town of Ivarstead. They climbed the seven thousand steps and reached the Upper Hrothgar monastery, where they spent the last two days.
As she walked, she remembered the meeting Edzard had with Aela and Serana days after he returned from Black Marsh.
Flashback
Aela and Serana were shaking with fear at the sight of a very pissed-off Edzard.
"Then. What do they have to say in their defense?" Edzard's voice was so cold that he made a winter day in Winterhold look like a summer day in Anequina.
"This. Are you angry?" Aela asked shyly.
"No. I'm not angry. I'm just about to turn them into troll food."
"Can we know why you are so angry?" Serana asked avoiding eye contact with Edzard.
"I will only say one word. Concubinage."
Aela and Serana winced when they heard that word.
"So Asia told you about it?" Aela asked.
"Yes. And I had to comfort her because she thought I was going to leave her for another woman." Edzard said putting his hand to his forehead. "Can you tell why they didn't tell you everything?"
Serana rubbed her neck at the discomfort she felt. "The truth is that it was a joke."
"A joke. A joke!" Edzard yelled angrily as his eyes turned gold.
Aela and Serana freaked out when they saw Edzard's eyes change color. That only meant one thing, Edzard was getting angry. And an angry Edzard was a very dangerous Edzard.
"Calm down, Ed. You can scare Marie." Serana said with her hands raised as a sign of peace.
Edzard sighed and calmed down, as Serana was right. If he kept yelling, he might end up releasing all of his power and that would make Marie freak out.
"It's fine. I already calmed down. But do not think that I have forgotten what you have done." Edzard said. "So talk. Why did they tell Asia about it?"
Aela and Serana were calmer. It was easier to talk to a calm Edzard than an angry one.
"Well. The truth is that it was a joke. We never believed that she would believe it. After all, you don't seem like someone who wants concubines. Not after what we heard on their wedding night. "." Serana said with a mocking smile as she remembered how Asia's screams did not let anyone sleep in the castle that night.
Edzard blushed when he heard that they had been overheard that night.
Aela took Edzard's silence as a yes. "Oh. But what a perverted boy you turned out to be, Ed. Isn't Asia enough to satisfy you?"
"You know. If you want, we can join you." Serana said as she slowly approached Edzard, as she advanced, she was swinging his hips sensually.
"I ... I ... I ..." Edzard stammered as he backed away.
"I wouldn't mind playing with you one night." Aela whispered in Edzard's ear and then bit his earlobe.
Edzard's face kept getting redder and redder, fortunately for him, Asia appeared and took her husband away from his friends.
"Oh. Hello Asia." Aela said with a smile when she saw the frown on her friend's face.
Asia narrowed her eyes at the actions of her friends. She didn't like what they were implying.
"Easy Asia. We're not going to do anything, after all, Ed is like a brother to us." Serana said with a smile.
Asia looked at her friend and sighed when she saw that she was telling the truth.
"Well. Finishing answering your question. We tell Asia about the concubine, because it is very possible that you will attract several girls. After all, you have several girls who want to be your concubines here in Nirm. I don't want to know what will happen in that other world." Aela said.
Edzard rolled his eyes. It was not his fault that some women took his kindness as a symbol of flirting.
"So Asia, good luck keeping Edzard to yourself. You will most likely have to share it with multiple girls. Although it may be fun, you may take a liking to being with other girls after all." Aela said with a smile from ear to ear.
Asia blushed and started to stutter, drawing laughter from Aela and Serana.
End of Flashback
Both friends had been with them for a few days. In those days, both of them had put Asia's skills to the test.
Three days after that, Edzard had summoned his housecarls. Each had arrived at the house thanks to Edzard's Shadowkey. When they were reunited, he had a conversation with them.
Flashback
Edzard's six housecarls were facing their lord.
"Those are all the chests I asked for, right?" Edzard asked looking at his housecarls.
"Yes, my Thane. Each one has brought six chests with what he requested." Lydia replied. "When we return to the properties we will start packing our belongings for the trip."
All the housecarls nodded.
Edzard saw them and sighed. "They won't do such a thing."
"My Thane?" Lydia asked confused.
"You will not come to Earth."
That response caused the housecarls to start talking trying to convince Edzard to take them.
"My thane. It is our duty to protect you. If we don't go..."
Edzard raised his hand and stopped Lydia. When the aforementioned fell silent, Edzard took out six scrolls from his pocket. Each scroll had the seal of each of the holds from which they came.
"In these documents is my last wish for the destination of my properties." Edzard said as he looked at them. "Within five days, my properties in each hold will become the possession of each of the respective housecarl that I have in that hold."
The housecarls widened their eyes in surprise, since Edzard's words meant that they would stop being housecarls and would go back to being normal people.
Lydia stepped forward. "But my Thane. Why do this? Why give the properties to us?"
Edzard looked at his friend and smiled. "Lydia. The best question is. Why give them to others and not to you?"
None of the housecarls knew what to say.
"I trusted you for the life of my family during the war. And I know that they were willing to do anything to defend them. They have also taken care of my properties with diligence. They have served me with loyalty and honor. So this is the best reward I can give you. I hope you can be happy starting a family." With each word, Edzard's voice cracked. A small tear began to run down his right cheek. It was not easy for him to say that to those who had been like family to him. He didn't want to leave them, but this was the best for them. Earth could be dangerous. He didn't want to bury them like he did with his parents and Kodlak.
The housecarls fell silent. They didn't know what to say. They had never expected this in their life.
Lydia stepped forward. As she walked, her eyes filled with tears. When she was in front of Edzard, she hugged him.
"Thanks. Thank you." Lydia whispered as she hugged Edzard. "Please. Take care of yourself and don't do crazy things. After all, you now have a family to protect. "
When they parted, the rest of the housecarls hugged Edzard as well.
"Calder. When you go back to Windhelm. Give these documents to Scouts-Many-Marshes and this one to Sadri." Edzard said as he hands Calder two sealed scrolls.
Calder nodded and took the scrolls.
"Iona. When you return to Riften, take this document to the orphanage." Edzard said handing Iona the sealed scroll.
Iona nodded and took the scroll.
End of Flashback
When she finished remembering, Asia smiled, since Edzard had told her what was in those documents. In each of them, Edzard delivered a large quantity of gold to the Argonians of the Windhelm dock, the Dunmers and the orphans of the orphanage. Also, in each property and business assignment document, Edzard had included a clause where he forced his former housecarls to donate part of the business profits to community aid. Each housecarls received the amount of two hundred thousand septims between properties and coins.
Other than that, Edzard had resigned from his posts as Herald of the Companions, Arch-mage of Winterhold, and Master of the Guild. His successors were Vilkas, Tolfdir and Brynjolf respectively. Also, he had tried to renounce his Thane titles, but had not been able to, as the Jarls refused him. Nor could he renounce his title of knight and general, since Maximilien denied it saying that he should keep those titles as a reward for his actions in the war.
Asia had said goodbye to her friends and her schoolmates. It was a very sad farewell, where she had left several of her notes on spells that she had not been able to finish creating. After all, she had created several spells, four being for offensive use and six for defensive use. Because Edzard had helped her create grimoires, she had been able to deliver that research to the College library, thus leaving a lasting mark on her short stint at the institution.
When they finally reached the top of the mountain, they saw several dragons waiting for them. Those who led these dragons were Paarthurnax, Odahviing and Durnehviir. The last of them was no longer a zombie dragon, since a month ago he had appeared in his cabin just as it had been in the Meretica era. According to what he recounted, Akatosh had taken him out of Soul Cairm and taken him to Aetherius to remove the curse. According to the dragon, the process was so painful that he could not find a way to describe such pain.
"Drem Yol Lok. Greetings Dovahkiin." Paarthurnax greeted.
"Greetings Dovahkiin." Odahviing greeted.
"Greetings Qahnaarin." Durnehviir greeted.
"Wow. It seems I have a farewell committee." Edzard said looking at the gathered dragons.
"More than a farewell committee, it is a meeting to give you a new title." Durnehviir said.
"New title?"
"Yes. Our Bormah… our father has commanded his Fen… his will. " Paarthurnax said.
The dragons present raised their wings and began to speak together with Paarthurnax, Odahviing, and Durnehviir.
"TIID SARAAN DOVDU'UL, VOTH NID BALAAN KLOV PRAAN NAU! NAAL THU'UMU, MU OFAN NII NU, DOVAHKIIN, NAAL FEN DO BORMAH, NAAL SULEYK DO HI! MEYZ NU DOVAHJUNSEBROM!"
The dragons lowered their heads in respect, as magical energies poured from their bodies towards Edzard.
Asia and Marie didn't understand what was happening. Turning her head, Asia saw Edzard stare at the dragons with wide eyes.
"Ed? What have they said?"
Edzard blinked and looked at his family. "A rough translation would be. Time has waited for the Crown of Dragons, without a new owner to possess it. By our Voice we give it to you now, Dovahkiin, by the will of our father and by your power. You are now the Dragon King of the North."
Asia's eyes widened in surprise upon hearing that. However, before she could say or do anything, Paarthurnax saw her and spoke.
"Kiir… Girl. Akatosh Tinvaak… has spoken. Laan… has she requested that you be given a Dovahzin… a Dragon name."
"Name dragon?" asked Asia confused. "Why would they give me a dragon name?"
"Because you are the first wife of the Dovahkiin." Durnehviir replied.
"Just because I'm Ed's wife?"
Odahviing denied. "Not only that. When you unleashed your power in that battle, you reached the level of a Blood dragon. Achieving that level of power without having the blood of a hero running through your veins surprised us. Therefore, Akatosh has decided that you deserve a name Dovah."
Hearing that answer, Asia smiled in happiness. She never expected to reach a level of power that could attract the attention of a dragon.
"What name would it receive?" Edzard asked.
Paarthurnax thought about it for a moment. Then he spoke.
"Junkrohaas."
Asia blinked. She didn't understand what it meant. "What does that mean?"
"Literally it would mean Sorcerer-Light-Health. And in a way that sounds nice it would be «Healing Light Sorceress.» "Edzard replied.
"Yes. We have given you that name because you are a mage who specializes in the school of restoration." Durnehviir said.
Asia blushed. Again she was getting a somewhat embarrassing name. Why couldn't she get a name like the ones Edzard got? Names like Alduin's Bane, Bloody Dragon, Dragon of the North, The Anomaly.
"Now to finalize the delivery of names. Marie, step forward."
Marie blinked. She didn't know what was happening. The only thing she understood was that her uncles were giving her parents strange names. However, she saw that her father was looking at her. So with small steps she presented herself in front of the dragons.
"Well, little one. Akatosh has also ordered that his granddaughter be given a name." Odahviing said. "He has chosen the name Kulaaskiindov."
Asia blinked. Marie did the same as her mother, since she did not understand what her uncle had said.
"It literally means princess - girl / born - dragon. In other words, Princess born of dragons." Edzard said looking at Marie.
Marie showed a big smile. She really liked the meaning of her dragon name hers.
"Well. Let's get this over with. Asia, take Marie."
Asia nodded and held her daughter in her arms.
All the dragons present watched Edzard walk towards the rift in the throat of the world. When Edzard was in the rift, he created a rune on the ground.
"Well. With this the first part is ready." Edzard said as he positioned himself inside the rune.
Once he was in the center of the rune, Edzard closed his eyes and began to move his arms. As he moved, he began to gather monstrously high amounts of magic. The rune began to glow black as Edzard's magic activated it. Edzard's forehead was covered in sweat, as this spell was consuming much of his Magicka reserves.
Asia watched Edzard create the dimensional portal as she remembered the first time Edzard had used that spell.
Flashback
"Ed, is this safe?" Asia asked as she saw Edzard create a rune on a mountain plain far from where his house was.
"Yes. It is relatively safe. " Edzard replied as he finished putting the final touches on the rune.
After finishing, Edzard walked away from the rune and told Asia to walk away as well. Once she was far enough away not to be sucked into the portal should it become unstable, Edzard began to transmit her magic to the rune which began to glow black.
Gusts of wind whipped through the place as a night-black portal began to appear in front of Edzard, who began to laugh like a mad scientist. Edzard's actions began to bring beads of sweat to Asia. However, out of nowhere, the portal closed creating a huge burst of light that temporarily blinded them. When they regained their sight, they both ran and were astonished when they saw that in the center of the rune there were several boxes of a material that Edzard did not know, each one with different logos.
Edzard approached one of the smaller ones and took out an artifact that he did not know. The artifact was a pair of square glass attached to a black frame.
"Asia. Do you know what these things are?" Edzard asked as he showed Asia what he was holding.
Asia looked at the artifact and after blinking, she smiled. This artifact was something that many people used on Earth.
"Ed. Those are glasses." said Asia with a smile.
"Glasses?" Edzard asked looking at them from all sides. "What are they for?"
"It is a contraption that some people on Earth use to improve their vision."
Edzard blinked. "Is it like a spyglass?"
"No. It is to improve the vision of people who see blurry. But if they are used by a person who does not have visual problems, it makes them see blurry."
Edzard put on his glasses and didn't see his vision change anything.
"This thing does not work." Edzard said taking off his glasses.
Asia took the glasses from Edzard's hand and put them on.
"They appear to be fake glasses." Asia said seeing that she really didn't see blurry.
"Fake glasses?"
"Yes. They are glasses that are used only for aesthetics."
Edzard rolled his eyes. Who would create something just to show it off?
End of Flashback
Asia clung to her daughter as the wind began to swirl around the rune. The wind currents began to be so strong that several of the dragon's present began to take flight in order to search for better places to hide.
In the reddish evening sky a circle made of total darkness began to form. With each passing second, it grew in size.
Edzard kept increasing the amount of magic in the spell. Currently, he had already consumed half of his reserves. If all went as calculated, the portal should stabilize with twenty-five percent more of his magic. This would allow the portal to exist for about ten minutes.
Edzard stopped using magic on the spell when he saw the portal in the sky. Sighing he approached Asia, who saw the portal with some joy, but also with sadness. Moving closer to her, he placed his hand on her shoulder.
Asia looked at Edzard and smiled.
Edzard nodded and turned to see the assembled dragons.
"So, is it about time?" Durnehviir asked looking at Asia and Edzard.
"Yes, it is time." Edzard replied with a sad smile. "I'm really going to miss you, super developed lizards."
Edzard's words drew anger marks from the dragons present; However, they decided to let him go through the emotional moment.
"Dovahkiin." Paarthurnax spoke, drawing Edzard's attention. "Our Bormah ... our father has asked us to give you his final gift before you leave Leim ... this world."
"Final gift?" Edzard asked confused.
"Yes, a gift that you will need so that you can reach Earth." Durnehviir replied.
"You are ready?" Odahviing asked.
Edzard nodded in preparation for whatever is Akatosh's final gift to him.
"MIIRAAK!" Shouted Paarthurnax.
"LOOK!" Shouted Odahviing.
"LEIN!" Shouted Durnehviir.
When he finished shouting, the words shouted in the dragon alphabet appeared on the ground and magical energies came out of them. These energies were absorbed by Edzard. Seconds later, the three dragons came out magical energies that were also absorbed by Edzard, in them was the knowledge to be able to use the shout that they had just given Edzard.
Edzard nodded in response to his brothers, but could not understand the use he should put that shout. Turning around, he headed to where Asia was standing. already standing in front of her, he took off his shirt, which was handed over to Asia. walking a few steps he separated from her and shouted.
"MUL! QAH! DIIV!"
"So it's goodbye." Odahviing said looking at Edzard in the dragon aspect of him.
"Yes." Edzard answered looking at his brothers. "Goodbye brothers, it has been a pleasure meeting you."
"It is not correct to say that this is goodbye." Durnehviir said cryptically.
Edzard tried to ask, but was interrupted by Paarthurnax.
"Krosis. Wuldsetiid los tahrodiis. Dii Zeymah."
Edzard looked at his brother and smiled. He was right, the currents of time are always turbulent and changeable. Turning his head, he looked at Asia and nodded at her.
Asia understood what Edzard meant, so she walked with Marie in her arms and began to say goodbye to the dragons.
Marie looked at her uncles curiously. Extending her hand, she touched Paarthurnax's nose, who snorted and disheveled Marie. Looking disheveled, she Marie began to laugh.
"Ha! The little girl has gained guts." Odahviing said seeing that Marie was not scared like the first time she saw them.
"Yes. But it is what is expected of a little Dov." Durnehviir said.
"Krosis. The Kiir… the girl has Vur… courage. Hers Suleyk hers… her power is great for her age. She shows herself to be a worthy descendant of Akatosh." Paarthurnax said walking away from Marie.
Seeing the dragon move away, Asia walked towards Edzard. When she was in front of him, she summoned the transformation of her sacred gear. When she was in her armor, Edzard lifted her up in his arms.
Looking at his brothers, Edzard nodded in farewell to then move his wings and take flight; However, he was not the only one, as all the dragons began to fly behind him.
"Pruzah wundunne!" the dragons yelled as they watched Edzard approach the portal.
Edzard's eyes started to sting when he heard his brothers wish him a safe journey. He blinked when he felt them touch his face. Looking down, he saw Asia smiling. Nodding, Edzard began to increase the speed at which he was flying. This made Asia hold onto Edzard tighter.
"Ughh ..." Edzard growled as he felt an invisible force drag him back to Nirm. Gritting his teeth, he began to increase his speed, as he saw the portal begin to close.
'If it closes, I won't be able to reopen it for a month.' Edzard thought as he clenched his teeth. 'It's almost liked the world is pushing me back.'
"Dovahkiin!" Paarthurnax yelled. "As you push yourself out of this world, the world also pushes you back!"
Edzard listened to his brother and began to think quickly about how to solve this problem. After a few seconds, Edzard finally knew what to do. Smiling, he shouted. "WULD! NAH! KEST!"
The Thu'um forced Edzard to advance with great strength and speed. The speed and strength was such that Asia felt that she was being crushed against Edzard's body. The power of the shout did its job and they finally made it through the portal. However, that achievement left an imprint on the world in the form of a new star which would shine for all eternity at the top of the throat of the world.
On top of a mountain, Aela and Serana watched the star appear in the sky.
"So they already left." Aela said looking at the star.
"Yes. I hope everything goes well in that world." Serana said.
Aela nodded at what her lover had said. Taking her hand, she sent a little prayer to Akatosh for her friends to have luck on Earth.
Through a window in his office as Arch-mage of the College of Winterhold, Tolfdir looked at the star and smiled.
"A great accomplishment in all the word. You were always like that Ed. Always doing things big." Tolfdir said as he stopped writing on the page of a book. Closing said book, Tolfdir got up from his chair and prepared to go talk to the masters of the College.
The cover of the book had a name printed on it. The name was «The Story of the Heroes of Doom».
At the same time as Tolfdir, Asia's friends saw the star.
"They left." Laure said as she pressed the scrolls she was carrying to her chest. These scrolls were the notes they had received from Asia.
"Yes." Fortunata said as she put her hand on her friend's shoulder.
Gyda and Fridda did the same, while all prayed to Julianos for the safety of their friends.
Unknown Location - Tirdas 30 of Last Seed of the 01 of the Fifth era
In a small plan that had the appearance of a living room, there was a round table with several chairs around it. In one of those chairs there was a seated figure. Said silhouette was waiting for others, and while he did, he thought. His thoughts were interrupted when a daedra in the shape of a knight entered the door.
"My lord, your guests have already arrived." Said the daedra.
"Very well, show them in." Said the silhouette.
The daedra nodded and withdrew, closing the doors in the process. When the doors were reopened, various beings entered.
The first of these was in the form of a dremora wearing full daedric armor, but without the helmet. When he came in, he sat in a seat on the left side of the table.
The second was a woman with a heart attack body, she had large breasts, wide hips and an ethereal beauty. Her skin was gray almost like a Dunmer's. She wore a white dress, which had a high neckline. She was barefoot and had a wreath of flowers. Once she entered the room, she sat between the first figure and the dremora in armor.
The third was also a woman, but unlike the previous one, she did not have gray skin, but rather a slightly tanned white. She also had a stunning body. She wore a black tunic that revealed part of her cleavage and part of her thighs. You couldn't make out much of her face, as it was covered by a hood. On her shoulders were two crows. She sat on the right side of the first figure.
The fourth was a man whose head was a deer skull. He was dressed in a leather loincloth and a pair of leather boots. Beside him was a large wolf. He sat near the black-clad woman. When he sat down, his wolf sat at the foot of the chair.
Finally the last of the guests entered. This had the appearance of an older man, with white hair. He wore an extravagant ball gown divided between two colors, one half was red and the other purple. As he walked, he was taking little jumps. Arriving at the table, he sat down facing the first person.
"Whoa, whoa. Just look at who's here… "said the last being to enter. "But if they are not my best friends."
"Shut your mouth, Sheogorath. I don't want to hear your crazy things." Said the being with the head of Deer.
"Oh, how you hurt me Hircine." Sheogorath answered putting a hand to his heart as he pretended to cry.
"Hircine is right, Sheogorath. Can you stop being you for a few minutes?" said the woman dressed in white.
"Your words hurt me Azura. At least it seems that Sanguine and Nocturnal have missed me"
"Not a bit, you damn fool." Nocturnal said with an imperceptible grimace on her face.
"Oh, but how cruel. But you do not remember that it is because of you that this madman exists."
"As much as we want to deny it, he is right." Sanguine said.
"So why are we here? What about no cheese?"
"Damn it, don't start with the cheese."
"Come on, but cheese is the best of all worlds."
"Just for you, I prefer a good Cyrodilic brandy." Sanguine said making a cup of brandy appear.
"Ahh, I remember that time when I ran with only a pair of boxers in front of that temple. Or that time that man ate his son, or the time that ..."
All the Daedric princes present began to try to ignore the ravings Sheogorath was beginning to speak.
The figure that was sitting in front of Sheogorath had enough of the prince of madness attitude and began to expel his power.
Sheogorath stopped chattering when he felt the surge in power. Looking ahead, he could see the last Daedric prince.
"Oh, come on. Relax your panties, Jyggalag. I see that you are still as boring as ever "
Jyggalag looked at the being he was forced to become several thousand years ago and stopped expelling his power as he was silent.
"I suppose you are wondering why I invited you here." Jyggalag said in a voice cold as ice.
Jyggalag's words elicited a nod from everyone present.
"I have gathered you here to discuss our course of action thanks to the actions of the Dovahkiin."
When Jyggalag finished speaking, a great pressure of power was felt. All the princes present felt uncomfortable from the pressure.
"Jyggalag, if you dare to do something as stupid as what I think you plan to say. I will kill you again." Sheogorath said with a totally mad smile on his face.
"Man, Sheogorath, take it easy." Sanguine said a little scared. Of all the princes present, he was the weakest. So he did not want to be in the middle of a fight between which he is considered the most powerful of the Daedric princes and the former hero of Kvatch.
"Relax, Sheogorath. I do not plan to kill your descendant." Jyggalag said completely calm. If he fought Sheogorath right now, it was very likely that the battle would be a draw, since he had not yet fully regained his power.
"Very good, as I said. The actions of the Dovahkiin have opened the doors to a new world. A world about which we have no information."
"Yes, but that has to do with us." Hircine said almost without giving it much importance.
"This new world has beings that could be as powerful as Akatosh."
The mere mention of the Aedra made everyone present frown with concern. They weren't idiots, Akatosh was so powerful that even in his weakened state he could kick the butt of almost everyone in the room. The only one who might have a chance against him would be Jyggalag with all his power.
"And what, what happens with Nirm is not our problem. After all, mortals are only beings we use for our fun." Hircine said.
Jyggalag simply looked at the prince of the hunt. But before he spoke, he was interrupted by Azura.
"Maybe for you they are just beings that give you fun, but I care about my worshipers."
"My sister is right, I don't have many followers, in fact, I prefer it that way. However, we cannot deny its usefulness." Nocturnal said, then looked at the prince of order. "What are you worried about Jyggalag?"
"The reason I summoned you, and not the rest, is that you are the least troublesome of all the princes."
"Oh, it seems like Jyggalag loves us." Sheogorath said.
"It is very likely that Bal and Dagon are already planning something against that new world." Jyggalag spoke, completely ignoring Sheogorath.
"I see, you fear that the most powerful beings in that world will try to attack us in retaliation." Azura said understanding the prince of order's concern.
"Yes, especially now that the barrier that separated Nirm from Oblivion is severely weakened."
"Weakened? How did that happen?" Sanguine asked with concern as he put down him brandy cup.
"The spell Mannimarco used created a slight Dragon break. Although it was ephemeral, it managed to change part of the past and that made the barrier weaken." Jyggalag answered Sanguine's question. "The spell of the Thalmors created a bond between Aurbis and that world. And to top it off, El Dovahkiin created a door into that world."
"I see, with this news I understand your concern." Nocturnal said. "The weakened barrier means they could easily enter Oblivion."
"Yes, but I am also concerned about the fate of the other amulet Mannimarco created." Jyggalag said.
"Why do you care so much?" Hircine asked.
"With that amulet we could reseal the barrier if necessary."
"I see your point, but couldn't we create another one?" Sanguine asked.
"I don't think so, the Dovahkiin has left this world. That puts it temporarily out of our control or influence."
"Mora thinks he is very smart, but he made a fatal mistake." Hircine said. "By tormenting him, he made him escape from this world and has put us in great trouble."
"Yes, I think he was only tormenting him for pleasure. You know, since he started to become a humanoid dovah, his soul was already out of our reach." Nocturnal said with a smile. She was very fond of his nightingale, in fact, at some point she had thought of having a Demiprince with him. Unfortunately, that could not be done.
"They robbed him of whoever he wanted to be his best champion. But it intrigues me that he didn't do anything against the girl. After all, she is the Dovahkiin's greatest weakness. " Azura said thinking of the young man who had been her champion. That boy had returned his star to his priestess in Winterhold. Fortunately for him, she was in a good mood that day and had just let him go.
"Mora tends to be very patient with his plans, but it is very likely that he tormented him to force him to flee. And thus have access to new knowledge."
"It is most likely. What do you think Dagon and Bal will do?" Azura asked.
"Surely the first will invade with all his troops and the last will try to teleport the new world to Coldharbour." Jyggalag replied.
"By the way, Jygga. What happened to Mannimarco?" Sheogorath asked eating a piece of cheese that he had made appear out of nowhere.
"He has been banished from space and time."
"What do you mean, banished from time ?!" Hircine yelled.
"Yes. He will not return for a long time and will only return if he can find a way to return from a place from which Padomay and Anu cannot return."
"What the hell did the Dovahkiin attack do to him?" Sanguine asked.
"That attack nearly killed Mannimarco's divine spark. But it was Dragon Break itself that banished him from time."
"I see, that's worrying. I never believed that child would reach such power." Azura said, after all, almost killing a pseudo god is not an easy thing.
"You're right." Sanguine said.
All the Daedric princes nodded. They had never expected Edzard to achieve such power.
"So what will they do with this new world?" Jyggalag asked.
"I'll just keep an eye on that world for now. If something interesting comes up I may do something, but if something interesting doesn't come up, I won't do anything." Nocturnal replied.
"I could create a new hunting herd." Hircine said thinking of the new creatures that he could hunt.
"For my part, I will also look for followers." Azura said.
"Me too ..." Sheogorath began to speak, but was interrupted.
"We already know what you will do, cheese freak." Hircine said.
"Oh, that's not fair. Jygg, say something to the goat head for interrupting me."
"As you told me, you poorly dressed idiot."
"At least I'm dressed. Not like you, exhibitionist."
Hircine summoned his spear and was about to launch himself at Sheogorath, but a sword got in him way.
"Both of you calm down." Jyggalag said.
Sheogorath smiled and began to stick his tongue out at Hircine, who reluctantly decided to obey Jyggalag and made his spear disappear.
"Now that we've settled down, Sheogorath continues."
"Ahh, never mind. I already forgot what I was going to say." Sheogorath said eating cheese again.
Jyggalag sighed, sometimes wishing he wasn't tied to Sheogorath. But that didn't matter now. "Sanguine, what are you going to do?"
"Oh, nothing new. Just a few parties there and here. You know, the usual. Maybe bother the Dovahkiin again."
"Again? What did you do this time?" Azura asked.
"Let's say I sent him a very special wedding gift." Sanguine replied with a smile from ear to ear.
"Sanguine, what did you send him?" Nocturnal asked.
"Nothing special. Just a very aromatic rose." Sanguine replied with a smile.
"So you sent him an aphrodisiac rose that made him and his wife turn into animals in heat." Night said. She was not surprised. Everyone knew that Sanguine likes jokes. Even more than Sheogorath.
"Is this your revenge because he stood you up?" Azura asked.
"Yes, I was waiting for him for a long time and he did not arrive. And that leaves him several clues, but he ignored them. He broke my heart by doing that." Sanguine replied with a hand on his heart.
Both Nocturnal and Azura simply shook their heads at Sanguine's attitude.
"Well, I would like to stay, but I have a lot to do." Hircine spoke, standing up.
"Me too, those parties don't happen on their own."
All the other princes began to rise, as they had to fulfill their duties. But before leaving, Sheogorath turned and saw his old self.
"Tell me, Jygg. What do you plan to do with that new world? "
Jyggalag simply turned around and in a cold voice replied. "Nothing, I'm not interested in that world at all."
Sheogorath, Azura, Nocturnal, Hircine, and Sanguine nodded and went back to their respective planes.
Author's note:
To those who have made it this far, Thanks for reading. Because being honest, I don't know how to write much in English and I'm relying on Google translators and the dictionaries that come with office 2019.
And here is the third and final chapter of the "interlude". With this, the part of the story that takes place in Aurbis can be terminated for now. From now on almost everything takes place in the world of Draconic Deus (DxD), yes, I will try from time to time to write about what is happening in Aurbis, since in the future they could return.
And several Daedric princes make their debut, I apologize if my portrayal of Sheogorath is not very good, as it is very difficult for me to write about this Daedric prince. I will mention that other heroes of the elder scrolls could appear later, either as ghosts or even "revived".
Now the important thing, the power levels. If I'm honest, trying to write about the power levels between the inhabitants of Aurbis and those of the Draconic Deus is a bit tricky, as keeping the lore of both worlds as respected as possible is very difficult. So in the end I decided to leave the power levels like this:
DXD - AURBIS
Grand Red / Ophis / Trihexa - Akatosh / Jyggalag
Top 10 - Aedras and Daedric Princes
Heavenly dragons – Alduin
Evil Dragons - Paarthurnax / Odahviing / Durnehviir.
Ultimate-class Devils/ Dragon Kings - Legendary and Ancient Dragons / Ancient Scroll Heroes / Daedric Titans
High-class Devils / High-class Dragons - Dremoras / Blood and Frost Dragons / Descendants of Scroll Heroes.
Middle-class Devils / Low-class Dragons - Legionnaires / Guards / Knights / Middle-class Daedras.
Low-class Devils - Goblins / Rieklins / Low-class daedras / Civilians of the mortal Races.
And those would be the power levels in general. It should be noted that these are reference levels and there may be normal nirm mortals that reach the level of a scroll hero. Also, some heroes are more powerful than others depending on the circumstances surrounding their life.
Now about the power levels of Edzard and Asia, it can be speculated what level of power they are both at, as Paarthurnax and Odahviing mention about Edzard's power in chapter 15 and the power level of Asia is mentioned in this chapter. Now, just in case, those power levels are when they are both at their peak, that is, Edzard in him dragon aspect and Asia in her balance breaker.
Phantom Thief of Hearts:
Thanks for the Review. XD.
Now to answer you:
The truth is that I felt that it would be strange if they just appeared like that in DxD.
Yes, she is a mini Asia, but unfortunately, she did not inherit her mother's ability with dragons, but her father's. That is to say that she will not tame them, she will only devour them XD.
Asia was excommunicated at age 14, and Marie is almost 2 years old. She has a birthday one month before Edzard. If we put it in months of the earth it would be in September.
Raynare killing Edzard …. HA! HA! HA! That was a good joke. I'll just tell you something, Raynare couldn't beat Asia, much less Edzard. In fact, I think she could kill him, if Edzard has all the bones in his body broken, his throat shattered and he is about to die due to blood loss, but…. Naaa. Even then she would die without being able to kill Edzard. XD
Obviously, that bow is only to unlock Rias's route, but you can also take it if you want your MC to be friends with the ORC.
I mentioned that Rias would be jealous of the marriage because she had originally planned for her to meet Edzard and Asia before she reincarnated Issei, so she would envy how they could marry for love while she didn't have that option. Although that idea was discarded two days after she published the previous chapter.
dragonfighter11:
Thanks for the Review. XD.
Now to answer you:
Don't worry, it won't be a very big harem, at most 50 women. Naaa. it's just a
I will try to keep the harem as small as possible, so that I can focus more on the plots and conflicts than on romance. I will also use your comment to write the women who are confirmed in the harem:
Asia, Lint, Aika, Rossweisse and Valerie Tepes.
I also have some possible candidates that I have yet to think about how to add:
Jeanne, Mittelt, Yasaka and Ophis.
Now I leave you some paragraphs that will appear in some chapters in the future (These paragraphs are subject to change as necessary XD):
Edzard looked at the young man whose lineage had just been mentioned. Summoning a box, from it he took out an object. In a single movement, he launched said object.
The young man caught the object and looked at it. His eyes widened when he realized what it was. Looking at Edzard, he spoke. "Where did you get this ring from?"
"I got it from its owner." Edzard said in a disinterested tone. "If you want, I can give you the hand in which he wore that ring."
"You don't know how much I wanted to meet you face to face." Edzard said as a cruel smile appeared on his face. Walking slowly, he made his sword skim the ground, generating a sharp sound that filled all who watched what was happening inside the barrier with dread. "I have waited more than two years for this."
As he walked, Edzard watched as his enemy tried to back away. His smile widened when he saw fear and terror take over the previously arrogant look of the devil in front of him.
Well, I apologize for any misspelling. Do not forget to leave a review if you liked the chapter or if there is something that needs to be improved or if you have any questions about the story. With nothing more to say, until the next chapter.
