Chapter 50
— Hey, furball, do you think you can keep an eye on Ed if something happens to us? —
Roland to Zakir shortly after Edzard's birth.
Azazel was fighting Roland while Yasaka was doing the same against Selene. The fight that was already frantic between the two leaders against the two champions right now was more complicated thanks to the large amount of air currents that were generated by Edzard's battle with the Daedric titan.
The air currents that threatened to send many flying were being very well countered by both Azazel and Yasaka, as they were both used to fighting in such environments. Both Azazel and Yasaka were veterans of various battles. So, for that reason they could fight in almost optimal conditions. Much the same applied to Roland and Selene who had also fought their fair share of battles, but unlike the two faction leaders, they were able to fight better due to their Nirmnian anatomy.
"Take this!" Yasaka yelled as she launched a huge fireball at Selene. Or at least that was what was happening, but the truth is that the attack was directed elsewhere, which was shown when it veered off course and headed towards Roland.
Seeing that attack coming, Azazel moved quickly and positioned himself over Selene. Moving his hand, the Cadre created several spears of light, which were directed at Edzard's mother at high speed.
'This has to work.' Azazel thought with a bit of weariness, as his combat had taken a lot from him.
Both attacks went quickly towards their respective targets, which made no move to react. However, when they were about to be hit by both attacks, both Roland and Selene responded. Roland jumped up and infusing his weapon with a large amount of Magicka, he created several fiery crescents with which he destroyed Azazel's spears. Selene, for her part, moved her hand and created a «ward» over Roland, protecting him from Yasaka's attack.
"W-what incredible coordination." Yasaka said watching in amazement how their attacks had missed.
"You're right. We have tried attacking them with various spells and in different ways, but it all ends the same way." Azazel said as he tightened his grip on his spear of light.
Preparing to return to battle, they both froze as the battle between Edzard and the daedra passed very close to them. The eyes of both leaders looked in horror as Edzard received a severe beating from the daedra. His bodies began to fill with worry when they saw him fall and it was Yasaka who felt the most fear when she saw how the Daedric Titan launched a very powerful attack against the Palace.
"NOOOOO!" Yasaka yelled as she began to run towards her palace, being followed by Azazel, who also tried to head there. Unfortunately, both came to an abrupt stop when Selene and Roland began attacking them to prevent them from heading towards the palace.
"Move out of my way!" Yasaka yelled as she released a large ball of «fox fire». Said fireball was the size of a two-story house. However, said attack was nullified when Selene used «Dispel Magic» and easily extinguished the kyubi's attack.
Desperation began to overwhelm Yasaka, who began to run towards Selene, to get her out of the place using brute force. However, all her attacks were blocked. "Move! Not only is my daughter there, but your granddaughter is there too!"
Yasaka's shout seemed to have touched something in both champions, for their eyes turned from blue to green and gold for an instant. Said moment he was used by Yasaka and Azazel to avoid Edzard's parents and try to stop the attack that was heading towards the palace. However, as much as they moved, they realized that they would not be able to stop the attack.
"Kunou!" Yasaka yelled in despair as she saw the attack just a few meters away from hitting the palace.
Yasaka's perspective of what was happening was slowed down due to the large amount of adrenaline her body was producing, so she saw what happened next in slow motion.
[DIVIDE] [DIVIDE] [DIVIDE] [DIVIDE] [DIVIDE] [DIVIDE] [DIVIDE] [DIVIDE] [DIVIDE]
With each word that was heard, the blue fireball was shrinking in size and power. When the attack had already lost half its original size, a spear of light struck the spell squarely, destroying it completely.
"W-w-what happened?" Yasaka asked between stutters as she saw how the attack that could have vaporized her daughter had been completely neutralized. Starting to look around, her eyes fell on a silhouette dressed in white armor with blue gems. Seeing that armor, she knew who he was. "Hakuryuukou."
"Vali…" Azazel said putting a smile on his face as he saw the person who was the closest, he had ever had to a son appear.
"Hello, Azazel." Vali said looking at the leader of the Fallen. "Looks like they're in trouble."
"What are you doing here, Vali?"
"What do you think."
Azazel looked at the descendant of Lucifer and began to think about what he was doing here. Unfortunately, his thoughts were interrupted due to a surprise attack from Roland and Selene, who moved quickly to defeat both him and Yasaka.
'Shit. I neglected myself.' Azazel thought as he watched Edzard's father's sword descend towards his neck. However, the attack never made an impact.
Clank!
The distinctive metallic sound that originated from the clashing of steel made itself present, causing shock to Azazel and Yasaka.
"You are still as strong for someone supposedly dead, don't you think…. Eitarson." Said a deep and thick voice whose owner was a bipedal vulpine being, which had stopped Roland's attack using one of the two swords he was wielding.
"W-who are you? What are you and the white dragon doing here?" Yasaka asked.
To Vali's surprise, who had never seen his teammate smile before, he saw him put a wry smile on his face.
"My name is Zakir. And the reason we're both here is because we're the cavalry."
After saying those words, the vulpine being moved his other sword and this, to the surprise of all who saw it, became a spear of white light. Swinging the spear at high speeds, Zakir did something that Azazel couldn't until now, he managed to injure Roland.
After being wounded, Edzard's father jumped back and reached for the wound he had received, which was on his forearm. Selene, who had been watching what was happening, positioned herself next to her husband and extending both hands, began to cast a bit of magic on the wound. A second later, the wound on Roland's body had completely healed.
"Heh… this will be like when you were brats." Said the vulpine being starting to walk towards them. "I'll show you that you still can't defeat me."
At those words, Roland and the vulpine being disappeared in bursts of speed and found themselves in the center of the battlefield. The moment they met, the sound of clashing steel was present, but unlike what had happened between Azazel and Roland's battle, now it was Roland who was on the ropes, as he was now completely on the defensive.
"Vali, go help the brat. Give him time until he recovers." Said the vulpine being dodging a fireball from Selene, who had started to interfere in the battle. "Also tell the monkey, the cat, Arthur and Le Fay to support Asia and the rest of his group."
"Okay, Zakir." Vali said, to start moving quickly towards where the Daedric Titan was.
Once Vali left the place, Zakir felt Azazel and Yasaka's gaze on him, so turning his head a bit, he looked at them before speaking. "I recommend that you head towards the palace and start preparing a mass evacuation."
Zakir's words shocked both faction leaders.
"What do you mean? Why would we initiate a mass evacuation?" Yasaka asked in fear of the answer.
"This place is lost. Black anchors have metaphysically embedded themselves in this territory. There is no way to save it anymore." Zakir replied while still looking at Roland and Selene.
"B-b-but Edzard-dono said…"
"I don't have time to explain it, but I know more about it than he does. And believe me when I tell you that this place is lost." Zakir said curtly.
Yasaka's eyes felt downcast, but she quickly turned around and looking at Azazel they both nodded and left the place as fast as they could. While she ran, Yasaka's eyes shed some tears, because she felt very sad about what was happening.
Seeing that they were leaving, Selene and Roland reacted quickly and tried to block their path but stopped dead when Zakir stepped between them.
"Where do you think they are going? They don't know we have a date." Zakir said as tendrils of white and blue energy began to cover his body. "Relax. I'll do this quickly, after all I have to help your idiot of a son again."
While Zakir was fighting against Edzard's parents, Asia and the rest of the girls were still in the same place where they had previously been. They were still holding the banner that was the materialization of the power of Asia's sacred gear.
And speaking of her, the young ex-nun had panicked when she saw how her daughter was almost killed, but after seeing how that attack was stopped by Vali Lucifer, that panic had completely vanished, leaving her a little calmer, but she was still worried. She had been about to stop using this power to go try to stop the attack that was heading towards the castle.
'Maybe I could have deflected it if I used an Extreme Magicka spell, but in the rush to stop the invasion, I couldn't make the preparations beforehand.' Thought Asia, who began to see the place. Beside her were not only her friends, but also the members of the ORC and the Student Council, who arrived along with several of the youkais who were fighting to stop the invasion.
The whole place was full of battles, as several daedras had appeared since the daedric titan had badly wounded Edzard. Speaking of her husband, he was getting up again to continue his battle. Seeing him hurt like that made a part of her want to yell at him to stop, but she knew he wouldn't listen.
The explosions around her began to get louder, but she ignored them and continued to focus on keeping her sacred gear active for as long as possible. She and the rest of Edzard's group were using their magic as a battery to increase the area range of her sacred gear, so they stood still without moving. While that should make them easy prey, the ORC and the student council were relentlessly protecting them, fighting off any daedra that got close to them.
"This cannot go on like this!" Lint yelled watching everyone fight and they didn't.
"I know what you mean, but we have to maintain Asia's power!" Aika yelled as she continued to direct her power at the banner. "Without the banner they couldn't fight in the reckless way they do!"
The girls looked at each other and understood Aika's words, since that was the cruel truth. And it is that, all those who fought did so confident that thanks to the power of Asia they could not receive damage, so they had stopped fighting normally and now they were more suicidal in their way of fighting, using their own bodies as bait to manage to kill the daedras that appeared. And it was thanks to this that they were managing to resist very well, in fact, there were places where they were gaining ground.
"We must hold on! If we can hold out long enough, surely Ed can defeat that daedra and we can close the anchor!" Mittelt yelled.
The girls nodded and continued to do their thing but began to worry as several new rays began to fall from the sky, showing that many more daedras would be summoned.
The rays hit the ground, generating a curtain of smoke and dust. When said curtain vanished, many more daedras could be seen.
"This doesn't have when to end!" Issei yelled as he defeated a dremora after using his promotion to «Knight». While this armor was thinner than its other two forms, thanks to Asia's balance breaker, that was not a weakness.
His devil classmates nodded and prepared to fight. However, the moment they did, an orange magic circle with a symbol they didn't know about appeared. Four people appeared from this circle, three were known to everyone who knew Edzard, while the other was only known to the ORC.
"It looks like they need help. ~nya." Kuroka said standing next to Le Fay, who was sitting on a flying broom.
"Heh. It looks like this will be entertaining. Don't you think so, Arthur?" Bikou asked as he twirled his staff.
"So, it seems." Arthur replied with a smile as he drew Caliburn.
When all of them were about to pounce on the daedras, they saw Vali arrive and float close to them.
"What's wrong Vali?" Bikou asked looking at his team leader.
"Zakir says that you guys help Edzard's group." Vali replied keeping his gaze on the Daedric Titan who was looking at them with complete indifference.
"Well... that's what we were about to do." Bikou said with his eyes rolling. "What will you do?"
"Buy him some time to recover."
"Recover?" Le Fay asked with concern.
Vali didn't respond verbally, instead he simply pointed to where Edzard was healing himself with his magic.
The eyes of the Vali team members widened as they never thought they would see Edzard in that state.
"W-w-w-what happened to him?" Le Fay asked, putting her hands to her mouth, for she never expected to see her friend in that state.
"He fought someone very powerful." Vali answered simply as a smile appeared on his face and he began to fly towards the daedra. "Someone I wish to fight right now."
Once he was a few meters from the Titan, the descendant of Lucifer began to speak.
I, who am about to awaken,
Am the Heavenly Dragon who lost all to the principles of supremacy
I envy the "infinite" and I pursue the "dream"
I shall become the White Dragon of Supremacy
And I shall take you to the limits of innocence
After he finished saying those words, Vali's body was enveloped by a great white light and grew several meters until he was the same height as the Daedric Titan that Edzard had faced. When the light was extinguished, Vali could be seen to resemble a true dragon. So, letting out a roar, the descendant of Lucifer charged at high speed against the Titan.
As Vali charged forward to fight the daedra, his team members charged against the daedras.
[DIVIDE]
Albion's voice was followed by a strong current of air, as both Vali and the daedra were hitting each other from time to time.
Edzard watched the battle as he hurried to heal his body. He didn't know the reason why they were here, but he was grateful that Vali's team had arrived at this time.
'Looks like I owe Vali one for saving my daughter's life.' Edzard thought as he continued to tend to his wounds.
A gust of air brought him back from his thoughts. Turning his gaze back to the battle, he began to examine it as best he could. 'He is doing well. His ability to divide the enemy power is that allows him to reduce the damage of the magic that the daedra's claws have.'
After thinking that, he turned his gaze to where the rest of Vali's team was fighting and saw how they were doing. Kuroka was defeating several daedras throwing several balls of what should be senjutsu. Bikou used his staff abilities to defeat various daedras. Arthur efficiently used his sword to face several daedras at the same time. And Le Fay was attacking the daedras that flew with magic.
Looking away, he could see how Issei and the rest were fighting the daedras. Despite being outnumbered by the Oblivion beings, the devils and Irina were fighting more than efficiently, managing to take out several daedras.
'The ORC and the council are fighting hard.' Edzard thought as he gritted his teeth. Starting to use more magic, he healed his wounds more quickly. When he felt that he was healed enough to return to battle, he heard footsteps approaching him. So, turning his head, he saw a Lilmothiit walking towards him. Now of seeing him, Edzard's eyes widened for two reasons, first, surprise to see that he was carrying his two parents, who seemed unconscious. The second reason was that upon seeing him hundreds of images appeared in his mind.
The images flashed by so fast that his mind was fighting with everything it had to stay conscious, as the load of information was so great. In addition, such an amount of information began to cause him various headaches. Fortunately, these pains subsided when he finished remembering many things. By the time it was all over, the Lilmothiit was only a few meters from him.
"Are you cured already, brat?" Zakir asked, approaching Edzard and leaving his parents on the ground.
Edzard looked at the bipedal fox and put on a confident smile. "What do you think, furball?"
The fox looked at Edzard and instead of getting angry at the dragon's disrespect, he only let out a small growl accompanied by a muffled laugh.
"Ha, ha, ha. Seems like you're still as disrespectful as ever, brat."
"Of course, I learned from the best."
"Yeah...your father was always a bad influence." Zakir said as he pointed at Roland.
Edzard just smirked in amusement before letting out a sigh.
"How did you defeat them?"
"I used a powerful neuro-paralytic poison on my weapons, after all that's the only weakness for that pesky skill of yours. That added to a certain spell allowed me to put them to sleep." Zakir replied looking at Selene and Roland. "They will wake up in forty-eight hours. More than enough time for you to find a way to contain them and lock them up until you decide what their fate will be."
"I see... thanks, furball." Edzard said sincerely with a beaming smile.
"No problem... besides, I owed it to them." The fox said sadly before putting a hand on Edzard's shoulder.
Edzard looked at the fox and just shook his head. Turning his gaze to the daedra, he spoke. "We'll have time to catch up later. Now we have a daedra to banish and a black anchor to close."
Zakir looked at Edzard and after sighing he spoke to him. "Dovahkiin... this place is beyond salvation."
Edzard's eyes widened upon hearing al Lilmothiit say that. "How come there is no salvation for this place?"
"The anchors have already metaphysically merged with this place."
"B-b-but that can't be possible. Anchors are supposed to take three to six hours to metaphysically anchor in place." Edzard replied with shock. "It hasn't been that long yet!"
"I know, but the truth is that this place is overflowing with magic, and it is on the ground. All the anchor hooks fell in those places and that has speeded up the process quite a bit."
Edzard clenched his fists helplessly hearing that. Looking at the Daedric Titan, he began to get angry. His anger began to cause his body to begin to be surrounded by a layer of black energy. However, this energy vanished the instant Zakir struck him hard on the head.
"Moderate that anger of yours. I don't want to have to use another spell to calm down like that time." Zakir said, revealing that he was the one who calmed him down when he got out of control during the party in the underworld.
Edzard looked at Zakir and after letting out a sigh, he began to calm down. When he finally calmed down, he looked back at Vali's battle and saw him taking a couple of hits from the Daedric Titan.
"Um… Are we going to help him now?" Edzard asked with a bit of concern.
"Nope. He's fine, let's let him play a while longer." Zakir replied as he reached down and took Roland with one arm. "I'm sure Ozzozachar can't kill him yet. After all that brat is like a cockroach, very difficult to kill."
Edzard rolled his eyes upon hearing how Zakir referred to Vali, but then when he remembered the name by which he called the Daedric titan, well, his eyes widened in surprise.
"H-hey… Z-Zakir… Did you call that titan, Ozzozachar?"
"Yes." Zakir replied to start walking towards Asia and the rest.
Edzard stood still as stone because hearing that name caused him a little fear. Fortunately, a few seconds later he finally managed to come to. And seeing that the Lilmothiit was moving away, he took his mother in his arms, he began to follow the Lilmothiit. When he caught up with him, he began to question him some more, as he wanted to know if the answer, he had given him before was not a joke.
"Wait... Are you sure it's Bal's son?"
"Yes. Because you think he could have given you a tremendous beating." Zakir replied mockingly.
Edzard's right eye began to twitch as it made him want to punch the fox across the face.
"Save that anger for Ozzozachar." Zakir said seeing how Edzard seemed to get angry.
The last son of Akatosh gave the bipedal fox a sour look, but realizing that he had to focus on Ozzozachar, he decided to calm down and focus only on the son of Bal.
"Okay." Edzard replied beginning to look at the son of one of the Daedric princes. "How will we beat him?"
"We can't beat him. At least not in this place." Zakir replied as he continued walking. "Unlike Nirm, our strength here is greater. So, if Ozzozachar was already strong on Nirm, he could cause many disasters here just by using his brute strength. And that's something you've realized. Your battle with him must have caused more destruction, especially now that you're in your dragon form. The only reason there wasn't as much destruction was that you absorbed a lot of the shock into your own body, right?"
"Seems like you noticed, right?" Edzard asked as he sighed.
"You don't need to be a genius. After all that has always been your weakness…. You've always hated unnecessary death ever since you saw the aftermath of the civil war in Skyrim." Zakir answered seriously before putting on a smile. "Though... that's what makes you so you."
"I don't know whether to feel offended or flattered." Edzard said before looking back at Ozzozachar. "What's the plan?"
"You and I will contain it while the rest evacuate the place."
"I see."
Asia watched as the members of Vali's team were turning the battle around and allowing them to gain more ground. As she watched the battles around the place, she was surprised when a spear of light fell from the sky and embedded itself in the ground.
"What's going on?!" Issei yelled as he saw how the entire floor glowed white.
Upon Issei's shout, hundreds of spears of light fell from the sky, defeating several daedras. Unfortunately, not all the daedras were defeated. However, before anyone can say anything else, Edzard's voice made the place rumble.
"QETH! KRII! GOL!"
Upon Edzard's shout, hundreds of spikes of volcanic rock erupted from the ground, killing all the remaining Daedra.
That display of power caught everyone's attention, so they turned their heads and saw Edzard and Zakir approaching.
"Ed!" All the girls who knew him shouted with happiness when they saw him ready for battle again.
Edzard put on a smile seeing them and then looked at Le Fay and he greeted her as he smiled. "It's been a while, Le Fay."
Arthur's younger sister blushed slightly as she smiled and nodded. "Yes, Ed. It's been a while."
The way they greeted each other caught everyone's attention, especially Asia and the rest of Edzard's lovers.
"Ed, do you know her?" Issei asked as he approached his friend.
"Yes, I've known Le Fay for several months." Edzard replied with a smile, which vanished a second later, as he felt a chill run through his body. Turning his head, he saw that the eyes of Asia, Mittelt, Aika, Valerie, Lint, Rossweisse, and Ingvild were shining in a slightly frightening way.
'Shit, I feel like I'll be sleeping in the doghouse for at least a week.'
"And... where did you meet?" Asia asked with a friendly smile on her face, while her eyes were covered by the shadow of her bangs.
Edzard swallowed a little, because Asia's smile terrified him, as it reminded him of the smile his mother would give his father when she was angry. "I met her when we were in England while traveling to Iceland."
"Ohhh... I see."
While Edzard squirmed a little under Asia's gaze, Zakir was having a lot of fun watching the scene, as it made him remember many things from the past. However, as much amusement as that caused him, he decided to interrupt.
"As much as I like seeing you like this, brat. I think we should stick with the plan." Zakir said drawing the attention of everyone who didn't know him.
"Who are you?" Aika asked, looking at Zakir from all angles.
Although any normal person would have been nervous or uncomfortable being viewed so intensely, the Lilmothiit did not.
"Nice to meet you, Dovahkiin lovers. My name is Zakir, and I am an old acquaintance of that brat." Zakir replied calmly.
"Old acquaintance?" Asia asked narrowing her eyes suspiciously, since Edzard never mentioned him, and he had told her the names of all his friends. "He never mentioned you."
"No, I know he didn't." Zakir pointed out as he put on an amused smile.
"Of course, he would never mention it. This fucking furball decided it would be fun to erase my memories of him." Edzard said frowning in annoyance.
After that answer, any doubt Asia might have had vanished. Letting out a sigh, she was about to speak, but looking back at Zakir, she could see that he was carrying an unconscious Roland. This made her eyes widen in surprise, but her already great surprise increased when she saw that Edzard was carrying his mother.
"E-E-E-Ed…. T-t-those are they?" Asia asked, making everyone look towards where she was pointing.
"Yes, we have captured them." Edzard replied with a happy smile, which was copied by those who knew the identity of the two champions.
For the rest of those who did not know anything about the identity of those two, they only thought that they had finally managed to capture two enemies who would have information to defeat Bal.
"As much as we want to keep this nice environment going, we have work to do. After all, I don't think that brat will last much longer in that form." Zakir said as he pointed the thumb of his free arm at Vali, who was still fighting against the son of Bal.
The descendant of Lucifer was doing well against the Daedric Titan, but it was obvious to everyone that he would soon collapse, not from injuries, as the power of the «Divine Dividing» managed to prevent the damage from Ozzozachar's magic-infused attacks from affecting to a large extent to Vali, but that doesn't mean that he was winning, since that was far from reality. The half-devil was fighting hard, using various spells and abilities that he had, but that hadn't managed to hurt Ozzozachar too much.
"I think we should hurry; he won't last much longer." Edzard said watching as Ozzozachar caught Vali by one of his arms and then threw him like a sack of potatoes.
"No, let's take a little time." Zakir said without looking at how Vali was fighting.
The way he was indifferent to Vali's fight surprised several, especially Issei, who didn't know how to react to this.
"And what is the plan?" Ingvild asked looking at Edzard's recently appeared old acquaintance.
"You have to go to the Yasaka palace and help with the preparation for the evacuation of all the youkais from the place." Edzard replied.
Edzard's answer surprised everyone, causing them to have several questions. Especially the Youkais, who couldn't believe that they would have to evacuate their home completely.
"There isn't much time, but in short, this land seems to have some kind of very high power, which was used as fuel by the black anchor to reduce the time it takes for them to metaphysically cling to the place." Edzard said as he approached Tiamat and set her mother down on the ground in front of her. When he finished, Zakir did the same to Roland. After that, Edzard spoke again. "Tiamat, take these two and when they are in the palace, remove their armor and any extras they are carrying. Then take them to the room in the tower where I have my alchemy lab. There is a room in there, where there are four sets of shackles. Place two sets on each one, one on each limb. When that's over, lock them in there."
Tiamat looked at Edzard for a second and then nodded, because she knew why he was asking that. After that, she stopped holding Asia's banner, which caused the area of effect of it to be reduced, since she was one of the ones that sent the most magic to Asia's sacred gear. After that, she took each of Edzard's parents in each hand, then took out the septim that Edzard had given her a while ago. Squeezing it, the dragon was sucked into a purple portal, which would teleport her back to the palace.
When the most powerful member of the dragon kings left, Edzard looked at the rest of those present. "Everyone, go to the palace quickly. And when they are there, use your Shadowkey and open a portal to the courtyard to a place near the palace in our home, Asia."
Asia looked at Edzard and after a second, she nodded. After that, she turned and nodded to her friends, the ORC, and the student council.
"Edzard-sama." Called out one of the youkais that was there.
"Yeah, what's wrong?"
"There is a problem."
"Which problem?" Edzard asked curiously.
"Our land is linked to the humans' Kyoto by a portal, and if it's true that our land will be dragged into another world, I'm afraid they might take the humans' territory as well."
The Youkai's words left those who heard them astonished and concerned. After hearing that, Edzard, Asia, Zakir and everyone began to think about how to fix it. However, no one managed to come up with an idea to fix that.
"Dammit! What can we do to avoid that?!" Issei shouted helplessly because his little knowledge of magic prevented him from knowing what to do.
"Calm down, Issei-kun." Kiba said trying to calm down his friend.
"There may be a way ~nya." Kuroka said drawing everyone's attention.
"What thing Kuroka?" Edzard asked.
"You could break the link between the two places. If you do, it's like we're in a place apart ~nya."
"That would be foolish." The youkai who had spoken earlier responded quickly.
"Who's that?" Edzard asked.
"If we remove that connection, you won't be able to use magic circles to get out of this dimension."
Edzard looked at the youkai and then at Kuroka. "Kuroka, how could that connection be broken?"
Edzard's question was not answered by Kuroka, but it was the youkai who spoke earlier that interrupted him.
"Edzard-sama. If he does that, we won't be able to escape-"
"There will be no problem with the evacuation. We will open a portal with a Shadowkey, that kind of transport would work. So don't worry." Edzard said with a calm voice to see that the reason for the Youkai's interruption was because he was worried about the safety of his people.
"I… I see. Sorry for the interruption."
"Good. Relax, do not worry. I understand how you must feel." Edzard said before looking back at Kuroka. "Tell us your plan, Kuroka."
"We can break the bond using a conjunction of «Security» and «Sealing magic» ~nya." Kuroka said as she placed one hand on her chin and the other on her hip.
"Okay, we're lucky. Rossweisse is very good at «Sealing magic». Now we would just need someone who is good at «Security» magic." Edzard said wondering if he knew someone skilled with that kind of magic. He stopped thinking about it when he heard a giggle come from Kuroka, so, looking at her, he asked the reason for her laugh.
"It's just that we already have someone good at that kind of magic ~nya."
"Who?" Edzard asked curiously.
"Fay-chan ~nya." Kuroka said with a smile as she pointed at Le Fay, who blushed a little, as she had become the focus of everyone's attention.
Edzard blinked a few times, but then put on a smile. "Do you think you can help break this connection, Le Fay?"
The young Pendragon house mage blinked for a moment, then nodded.
"Good. With that we already have the team." Edzard said before looking at Aika and nodding. "Aika, you will go with Rossweisse and Le Fay. The three of you will cut that connection and when you do, transport yourself directly to the palace in my pocket kingdom. Use the coins for it and take Le Fay with you to the palace."
The three girls nodded.
"Okay, now the rest of you go as fast as you can to the palace. Zakir and I will hold Bal's son long enough until they have evacuated. Afterwards we will meet in the palace."
The members of Edzard's group, the Vali team, the ORC, the Student Council, and the Youkai nodded… until they realized what Edzard mentioned.
"Wait Ed! D-d-did you say the son of Bal?!" Issei yelled in a panic.
"Yes, that is Ozzozachar. One of the many children that idiot Bal has." Zakir answered for Edzard as he pointed to the daedra, who was grabbing Vali by one of his arms and then began to slam him to the ground like a rag. "He's a very strong daedra, why do you think he was able to beat Edzard so badly?"
Zakir's words only increased the fear that began to rise in everyone's hearts, for they were witnessing a being whose total power level was the closest thing to a prince and what they saw was horrible. Not only did they see what they considered to be one of the strongest people they knew being thrown around like a random rag, but they could also now see Vali, someone with a high level, who also possessed a Longinus-type sacred gear, failing to defeat him.
"S-s-s-so… Is that the power level of a Daedric prince?" Tomoe asked looking in horror as Vali kept getting beaten up by Ozzozachar.
"Nope." Edzard replied seriously as he approached Zakir. "The princes are much, much more powerful than him. If a prince came here, he could easily destroy this place almost completely."
After those words, silence began to reign, but it did not do so for long, because Edzard turned and looked at all of them. "They already know what to do. They will start their retreat when Vali stops fighting."
After saying those words, Edzard and Zakir began to approach Ozzozachar. As they walked, Aika looked at Le Fay and Rossweisse.
"We have to go too." Said the magician to start flying.
"Yes, that's fine." Le Fay and Rossweisse said as they began to fly.
After those words, the three of them began to fly with great speed towards the gate that linked both places, the human world, and the world of the Youkai of Kyoto.
"We also have to go." Asia said as she looked at the rest of her companions. "On the count of three I will release my sacred gear, after that we will start running towards the palace."
Lint, Mittelt, Ingvild, and Valerie nodded.
"1, 2…3!" Asia yelled.
The moment she yelled, all the girls holding the banner simultaneously released it, allowing it to dissipate into specks of green magic. The moment the banner finished disappearing, Vali's body appeared in front of them.
"Wow!" Bikou and Arthur yelled as they saw their team leader being thrown at them.
The half-devil's body was covered in various wounds, but luckily, he did not fall to the ground, as Bikou managed to catch him. Looking closely at him, the youkai monkey sighed seeing that he was only unconscious.
"It looks like he's just unconscious." Bikou said when he saw that his leader was only unconscious due to the sum of the injuries received and the exhaustion generated by using the «Juggernaut Drive». The «Juggernaut Drive» was a form of the sacred gear that contained the Heavenly Dragons. Said form removed the power seals from both sacred gears, giving their wielders enough power to kill a god, but at the cost of using their life force to do so.
"Well. So… Let's go!" Asia yelled as she and the rest of Edzard's party members turned and started running towards the palace. 'Please, Ed. Survive.'
The Youkais, the ORC, the Student Council, and Vali's team wasted no time and started walking away from the place together with Asia and the girls.
While Asia and the rest were heading towards the palace. Aika, Le Fay, and Rossweisse quickly moved towards the door that linked both worlds. They were able to fly without any interference thanks to the fact that the battle between Vali and Ozzozachar had finished clearing the place of daedras. At least for the moment, since they knew that more daedras could appear at any moment, for that reason they were hurrying.
"How do you think we will destroy that connection?" asked Aika, who was the least experienced magician of the three.
"Don't know." Rossweisse answered sincerely.
"The Valkyrie is right." Le Fay said as she kept her gaze straight ahead of her. "We'll know what to do by the time we get there."
Le Fay's words earned a nod from Aika and Rossweisse.
After that exchange of words, the three magicians increased the speed at which they were going and continued their way. After several seconds, they finally reached the entrance that connected both worlds.
The gate that joined both dimensions was a Torii gate, which was in a small square surrounded by some plants or at least that was the case before, since now there was only rubble around said gate.
The three girls quickly descended and without wasting time they approached the door. The moment they were in front of it, the three of them began to use magic to try to understand the structure of the seal. That task should have taken them a long time, but fortunately for the three of them, Le Fay managed to figure out how it worked quickly. Unfortunately, that was the only good news to emerge since they arrived.
"This security system is very complex and I'm afraid it would take me several hours to crack it, at best. In the worst case, it would take more than a week." Le Fay said with a frown.
"Damn." Aika said as she put a hand to her chin. "We don't have that much time."
After those words, Aika looked at her sensei. "Rossweisse-Sensei. could you seal the portal so that nothing happens on the human side?"
Aika's question made Rossweisse start to think about it, but after a few seconds she denied it. "No, it would be useless and even dangerous."
"Why?" asked Le Fay curiously.
"If I seal the door, it would still be operational. And if the Daedra manage to remove the seal, they can use this door to cause more trouble without having to use their characteristic portals."
Rossweisse's answer made Le Fay calm her curiosity. 'Now I understand why Ed wants the connection to be cut.'
"We must do something fast. Here we are at a disadvantage if the fight between the three of them starts." Aika said with concern.
"We know, Aika. But we have no idea what to do. Cutting the connection normally would take a long time, time we don't have." Rossweisse said while her mind worked a thousand to find a solution to this dilemma.
The other two girls were also in the same state. As the seconds ticked by, anxiety began to rise in the three girls, as they knew that time to do something was running out. When despair would begin to set in, Le Fay spoke.
"What if we expose the magic circuit and destroy it from there?"
"That's a good idea, but we would need an accurate attack with a lot of power." Rossweisse replied.
"Or an attack with «Dispel Magic»" Le Fay said, drawing the attention of the other two magicians.
"How do you know about that magic?" Aika asked cautiously.
"Z-Zakir mentioned it once." Le Fay quickly replied.
Le Fay's answer seemed to calm Aika, who nodded.
"Seems like a good idea." Rossweisse said as she extended her hands towards the door. "Aika, Pendragon-san and I will expose the magic circuit, you destroy it with the scroll you have of «Dispel Magic».
Aika nodded and reaching out a hand, she summoned a magic circle and took out a scroll from there.
Seeing that Aika was already ready, Le Fay and Rossweisse reached out both hands and using magic, exposed the magic circuit that made up the teleportation system linking Kyoto to Urakyoto. The magic circuit had the appearance of a magic circle, which was very similar to the one Kuroka used, but with the difference that it was gold instead of purple and was more complex in its design.
Seeing her target exposed, Aika opened the scroll she was holding and pointed it towards the magic circle. A sphere of black smoke erupted from the scroll and impacted on the magic circle. The power of the spell corroded the magic circle on the door, destroying it in a matter of seconds.
"Done." Aika said as she put the already used scroll back into her pocket. After that, she quickly extended a hand to Le Fay, who, understanding what was to come, accepted it. After that, she reached her hand into her jacket and took out the coin from her. Filling it with magic, she and the Pendragon family magician were swallowed by a purple vortex. At the same time as that happened, Rossweisse also took out her coin and doing the same as Aika, she too was swallowed by a purple vortex.
Asia and company had arrived at the palace a few seconds ago and when they arrived, they saw how the whole place was abuzz with people moving from one place to another. The movement of many of the people was erratic, showing that they were in fear. And they weren't the only ones, because the moment Asia set foot in the palace, the fear that she had felt when she saw her daughter vandalize the palace entrance returned. Said fear had been tempered by worry on the battlefield and by the adrenaline that her body had produced, but now, that adrenaline had been reduced and, therefore, all that fear returned with more force than before.
So, once she was in the main room, she began to run towards where her daughter should be, that is, she looked for Kunou. Fortunately for her, she didn't take her long to find she. When she entered the room, she was accompanied by her groupmates, the ORC, the Student Council, and Vali's team. In fact, she began to hear many whispers dedicated to Kuroka.
"What is that nekoshou doing here?" asked one of the youkais, who was also a nekomata.
"I don't know...but...I think it's a stray devil."
The whispers continued and some were like that, whispers wondering why Kuroka was there, but there were also whispers a bit more risqué, where some made sexual comments about Kuroka's body. However, the cat did not pay attention to them and continued walking as if nothing had happened.
"You seem to be popular around here, Kuroka." Bikou said mockingly.
"Shut up." Kuroka said with annoyance.
The youkai monkey just smiled in amusement and then continued to follow Asia, who had already reached where Kunou was, who was still hugging her friend.
"Kunou!" Asia yelled as she approached the young youkai, causing her to flinch.
Kunou looked at her friend's mother and began to sob.
"(Sniff) Asia-sama (Sniff)." She cried for the little one as she approached her.
As Kunou got closer, Asia saw Marie resting in her arms. Extending both arms, she took her daughter from her friend's arms and laying her gently on the floor, gave her a quick examination. Fortunately, she saw that the little girl was not seriously injured, but she was not uninjured.
"Kunou-chan. What happened?" Asia asked looking at the little kitsune.
"(Sniff) W-w-were in the l-l-living room (Sniff) a-a-a-and he attacked us…(Snif) Ma-chan… s-s-she p-protected me (Sniff) him h-hit her and-and-and then s-s-she shouted. (Sniff)"
Asia and the rest's eyes widened when they heard that. Worry appeared on Asia's face after hearing that, but a small smile also appeared on her face as she gently smoothed her daughter's hair.
'You seem to be very similar to your father, aren't you, my little one?' Asia thought fondly, then looked at her daughter's friend crying.
Taking a few small steps, Asia approached Kunou and gave the little kyubi a big hug to comfort her. When Kunou stopped crying for the moment, Asia cupped her face with both hands and looking into her eyes made a request.
"Kunou-chan. Can you keep taking care of Marie for a few moments?"
Kunou's response to her friend's mother's question was a nod.
"Thank you. Now, take Marie and when a portal opens, I want you to go through with her."
"Portal?" asked the little girl with confusion.
"Yes, a portal. I don't have much time to explain it, but we all have to get out of here."
Kunou looked at Asia for a while and after nodding, she pointed to a place. "My hahahue is over there. She is with Azazel-sama and the rest of the Youkai leaders."
Asia looked at Kunou and after nodding, she left with the rest of the people who were following her.
Yasaka's mind was on the verge of madness, as the great teleportation circle she had prepared had stopped working a few moments ago.
"Yasaka-hime! What happened?!" shouted one of the youkais who acted as her advisors.
"Don't know. The circle is supposed to be working." Yasaka replied in shock.
"But he's not doing it." Another advisor said sarcastically.
Yasaka frowned in annoyance. She could understand why they were upset, as she didn't want to leave her ancestral home either, but there was no other way out. They had to evacuate as fast as they could otherwise, they would end up in Oblivion and they would all be enslaved. When she arrived with Azazel she quickly went to her daughter and after checking that she and Marie were fine, she quickly went to talk to the advisors. When she told them they had to evacuate, they all started yelling that they couldn't, that they had to defend their home. While she agreed, she knew they couldn't keep fighting.
Things at that time were about to escalate to blows, because after she explained things, some agreed with her. However, there were also several who were not. This division began a discussion between both sides, which was about to come to blows when the insults began to be present. Fortunately, Azazel managed to calm things down by telling them without any sort of filter what would happen to them if they were dragged into Oblivion, mostly thanks to the likes Molag Bal had. Upon learning of these tastes, several of those who were in that room, especially those who had daughters, felt a chill run through their bodies, for they learned that a fate worse than death would await them. That revelation made them finally end up accepting the evacuation.
"Looks like it's not just you." Said Azazel drawing the attention of those who were preparing the portal. "I can't teleport either."
Azazel's words cut like swords into the souls and minds of the Youkai present. That began to make everyone panic, which would soon start riots in the place. However, fortunately for them, Asia's voice reached everyone's ears.
Yasaka-san. Azazel-san!" Asia yelled as she came running along with her friends.
The two mentioned quickly turned their heads and upon seeing Asia, they let out a sigh. However, they raised an eyebrow when they saw that neither Aika nor Rossweisse were present.
"Asia-san/Asia-chan." Yasaka and Azazel said when they saw her arrive.
"Is everything ready for the evacuation?" Edzard's wife asked once she reached the side of the two leaders.
"Okay…. About that…" Yasaka said cautiously. "It's not possible, for some reason we can't use the magic circles."
Hearing that, Asia placed a hand on the back of her neck and began to scratch it shyly. This action did not go unnoticed by the Youkais and Azazel.
"Asia-san?" Yasaka asked with a bit of fear, as she felt that she would not like the answer she would get at all.
"Maybe it's our fault." Asia answered as she and her group members blushed slightly.
Asia's words left them cold, but that was nothing compared to the hell that broke loose after Asia's explanation. The Yasaka advisors began to yell in outrage and verbally lashed out at Asia and company.
"How dare they do that?!"
"Because of that stupidity we won't be able to escape!"
"Surely they are in cahoots with the beings that are invading us!"
The members of Edzard's group endured those insults well, they even prevented Issei and Saji, who seemed the most annoyed by the words they threw at their friends, from hitting those who said those words. However, it was the last words that upset everyone.
Those words ended up making something happen that no one expected, because from one moment to the next, Asia moved quickly and grabbed the youkai who said that by the neck. The Youkai was an Inu who had the appearance of a man in his fifties with brown hair, with dog ears on his head and a tail at the base of his back.
"I challenge you to say that again." Asia said in a hard voice as the iris of her eyes changed from green to red.
The youkai that was unlucky enough to mention that stupid thing began to tremble in fear. After seeing how the youkai wouldn't speak again, Asia threw it to the ground.
"Does anyone else have another stupid thing to say?"
None of those present said anything and just shook their heads.
"Good." Asia said then let out a sigh as she closed her eyes. When she opened them again, they had returned to her normal color. That caused many to raise their eyebrows curiously because they did not understand what was happening. However, before anyone says anything, she spoke again. "Ed said to close the gate connecting the two Kyoto to prevent Bal from using the power of this place to feed more black anchors."
After saying those words, Asia quickly began to tell them what had led to the decision to destroy the gate that linked the two Kyoto. With each word that came out of Asia's mouth, all the youkais began to understand everything. So, in the end, they all apologized for insulting them like that.
"Looks like we won't be able to evacuate by magic circles." Yasaka said with concern.
"You don't have to worry about it." Asia said, drawing everyone's attention.
"What do you mean?" asked a random youkai.
Asia didn't respond verbally, instead she took out her Shadowkey from her pocket. With a smile on her face, Asia moved the Shadowkey and created a large portal through which people could pass in lines of fifteen individuals.
"W-w-what is that?" Yasaka asked in astonishment upon seeing the portal, since she had never seen anything like this in her life.
"That's a portal generated by a Shadowkey." Asia replied.
"Shadowkey?" Yasaka asked with curiosity shining in her eyes.
"It's a key-shaped artifact that allows you to use shadow magic to tear the veil of space so you can move between two places." Asia replied as she showed Yasaka her Shadowkey. "The original Shadowkey had several other abilities, but they are long gone or destroyed, that is not known for sure. However, this one I have here is a replica, which was created by Ed."
Asia's response was accompanied with a loving look and smile.
"I see." Yasaka said with a smile on her face, which she hid very well the jealousy that she had just felt when she saw the loving face that Asia put on when holding the gift that her husband gave her. That smile reminded her that she had no one to share that kind of relationship with, but before her mind began to wander about that, she decided to go back to what she had to do right now. So, turning around, she began to walk towards her people and begin ordering the order of how they would be evacuated. Children, women, the elderly, and the wounded would go first. Then the men would go, and finally she along with the ORC members, the student council, and the sentient members of Vali's team. This was done because they would stay to protect civilians if necessary.
The evacuation began and everyone began to enter in an orderly manner and in a hurry. One of the first to cross was Kunou, who entered carrying Marie. After about two minutes, minutes in which many people managed to pass, an earthquake occurred.
The Yasaka palace began to shake from one side to the other, causing several people to stumble.
"What's going on?!" Xenovia yelled as she stood up with Irina's help.
"The battle has begun." She answered Ingvild as she placed a hand on her heart, as she was worried about Edzard.
She wasn't the only one, because all the girls that made up Edzard's group also put their hands to their hearts, while the rest showed worried looks.
"We must continue with the evacuation. I'm sure they're fine." Azazel said as he helped an old man to his feet.
However, to everyone's surprise, a new earthquake occurred, but this time it was accompanied by something else. And it is that, to everyone's surprise, the barrier that protected the palace cracked after receiving a powerful blow from a gust of wind.
Seeing that the barrier was about to fall, Yasaka, Ingvild, Mittelt, and the rest quickly rushed to the end of the refugees and using their magic created a new barrier. Asia also wanted to go, but she was the one holding the portal open, so she stayed where she was.
"Keep moving!" Azazel yelled as he kept his focus on the new barrier as much as possible.
The youkai who was evacuating quickly began to advance and continued through the portal that would take them to a safe place. As they kept crossing and reducing the number of people that were there, the ones that generated the barrier went back with them, to be closer to the portal to be able to get out of there quickly when the youkai finished evacuating.
Edzard and Zakir advanced at a leisurely pace while they watched as Vali continued to fight against the son of Bal.
"Will you use only one sword to fight Ozzozachar?" Zakir asked seeing that Edzard only had the «Akachihel» from him.
"For now, yes. But when the time comes, I will use a second sword." Edzard replied as he opened his left hand and gathered magic there.
"Good." Zakir said as he watched as Vali began to glow and his form began to change. "Looks like he ran out of time. Can you do the honor?"
Upon Zakir's question, Edzard moved his left hand and conjured up a green colored lightning bolt. This lightning struck Vali, but unlike what a normal spell could have done, it only wrapped around the half-devil. With his prey already caught, Edzard moved his hand and sent Vali flying towards where everyone else was.
This action caught the attention of Ozzozachar, who looked at Edzard and his eyes widened in surprise when he saw who was with him.
"Vestige..." Ozzozachar growled with venom in his voice.
"Hello, Ozzozachar. You have missed me." Zakir responded to the daedra's words with mockery.
Bal's son growled in anger upon seeing Zakir.
"It seems you still remember me."
Bal's son did not verbally respond to Zakir's taunt, instead moving his claws rapidly and casting two spells. These spells were two bolts of lightning, which quickly traveled towards Edzard and Zakir. However, these attacks never hit, as both Edzard and Zakir used a «ward» to protect themselves. When the spell hit, the force of it sent both heroes back several meters. Fortunately, both «Wards» managed to resist the attack.
"It's time to get serious, Edzard." Zakir said as his body began to expel blue flames, which was eating away at the fox's fur. When these flames finished spreading through the fox's body, they became a kind of second skin. This was Zakir's most powerful form, a form that increased his fighting capabilities, but with the difficulty that he consumed a lot of Magicka.
As Zakir summoned his most powerful form, which was the condensation of his power as «The Vestige», Edzard tightened his grip on «Akachihel» and then raised his left hand and summoned the new weapon he had obtained a day ago. In the midst of a purple swirl of «Conjuration» magic, the demonic sword «Gram» materialized. Taking this sword in his left hand, Edzard began to send Magicka to both weapons, causing both to be covered in black flames and demonic energy respectively.
'Yeah, you're picky.' Edzard thought as he looked at «Gram». The demonic sword, which had chosen him as its new wielder, was very finicky the moment he used it, as it not only consumed his Magicka, but also consumed a small part of his life energy. Although the amount of life energy it consumed was small, it was annoying to use. 'I'll have to see what I do to get rid of that annoying weakness.'
"Let us begin." Edzard said seriously to disappear in a burst of speed.
Ozzozachar moved his claws to stop Edzard's attack. His right claw deflected «Akachihel», but when Edzard used «Gram», Ozzozachar couldn't react in time.
"Eat this, you fucking bastard!" Edzard yelled as he made «Gram» generate a blast of demonic energy.
The blast of demonic energy traveled at high speed, impacting the daedra's entire chest.
BOOMMM!
The energy blast generated an explosion that sent Ozzozachar skidding several meters backwards.
"Damned third-rate dragon!" Ozzozachar yelled as he opened his mouth and released a breath of icy fire.
Edzard saw the attack coming and opening his mouth he shouted. "YOL! TOR! SHULLL!"
Edzard's thu'um generated a breath of fire, which impacted against Ozzozachar's attack, generating another large explosion, which created large shock waves and air currents, which smashed the barrier protecting Yasaka's palace.
"Ozzozachar!" Zakir yelled as he appeared from the middle of the explosion and swinging both of his swords, turned them both into whips of fire. These whips impacted simultaneously on the daedra's chest, causing him to let out a roar of pain.
"Vestige!" Ozzozachar yelled after letting out his roar of pain. After yelling, the son of Bal moved both wings and created a gale, which made Zakir fly away. However, he was caught by Edzard, who grabbed him, spun him around and launched him like a rocket at Ozzozachar.
Zakir traveled at supersonic speeds as a homing projectile at Bal's son, but as he advanced, Bal's son conjured up several balls of icy fire and hurled them at the Lilmothiit.
Seeing that attack coming against him, Zakir began to cover his body with magic and a second later his body was covered in lightning, the result of using a spell called «Lightning Form». By using this spell, he turned into living lightning, causing his speed to increase to the point where he managed to outpace Ozzozachar's attack. Following his path, he managed to hit the daedra, thus causing a large shock wave.
Ozzozachar's large body was shot like a rocket to the ground, causing a huge crater while generating a huge earthquake.
Zakir looked at Ozzozachar on the ground and as he fell, he was preparing to land on the ground. However, before him, a magic circle appeared. Seeing this circle, he realized that it was not a normal one, so, with some caution, he decided to land there. When his feet touched the circle, he was surprised that it could keep him in the air.
"It looks like we will have to keep attacking him. They have not finished the evacuation yet; they are only at twenty-five percent." Edzard said appearing next to the Lilmothiit. The young dragon said that thanks to the fact that a few moments ago he was able to see how the Youkai evacuation was going.
"They have moved fast." Zakir said with a bit of surprise.
"The portal that my wife has made is very wide, it is easy for them to pass in lines of fifteen individuals or more depending on whether they are adults or children."
"Well. The less time they take, the better. This place could be dragged into Coldharbor at any moment."
The conversation that both heroes were having was interrupted as Ozzozachar roared in fury.
"He seems to have gotten quite angry." Edzard said as he watched as the body of Bal's son was covered from head to toe with pure chaotic magic.
"Yes. Things now get quite complicated." Zakir said as he tightened his grip on his swords.
After those words, both heroes had to move quickly, as Ozzozachar appeared between them and moving both claws, he created a great gale, which created ditches in the earth while sending hundreds of debris to the barrier. The new barrier that protected the Yasaka Palace, which was created after the destruction of the previous barrier, withstood the blows, but began to crack from the impact.
Seeing that, the son of Bal smiled and without thinking twice he charged against the barrier, because he saw that there was a portal there.
Ozzozachar moved at great speed to reach the barrier, but when he was a few meters from reaching it, he heard a shout.
"WULD! NAH! KEST!"
After that shout, Edzard appeared next to Bal's son and shouting again, he sent him flying.
"FUS! RO! DAH!"
The shock wave from the Thu'um «Unrelenting Force» sent Ozzozachar flying, knocking him away from the barrier. As he continued to be propelled by Edzard's thu'um, Ozzozachar flapped his wings and stopped abruptly. Looking back at the Dovahkiin he decided to charge at it with a mighty roar. However, when he was about to charge, Zakir appeared in front of him and began to rapidly hit him several times. The surprise attack achieved its goal, as Zakir's swords, which were infused with magic, began to inflict various wounds on Bal's son.
Unfortunately, the flurry of blows was stopped when Ozzozachar used his tail to surprise Zakir, sending him flying.
The Lilmothiit traveled like a supersonic rocket and ended up impacting the ground.
BOOOOMMMMM!
"Uhhh!" Zakir yelled now of impact, as the blow was so brutal that it created a large crater while he was embedded in the ground. Unfortunately for the Lilmothiit, Ozzozachar appeared above him and clasping both hands, he created a huge ball of chaotic magic.
"Get lost, Vestige!" Ozzozachar yelled as he prepared to launch the point-blank attack on Zakir. However, this never happened, as Edzard stepped in the way and swinging both swords, released two X-shaped blasts of power.
Edzard's attack hit Ozzozachar squarely, forcing him back several meters as his attack ended up being sent elsewhere.
BOOOMMMM!
The attack generated a huge explosion that shook the entire place.
"Get up, furball, we can't stop now!" Edzard yelled as he moved to parry with his swords the attacks of an enraged Ozzozachar that had appeared in front of him.
The last Lilmothiit got up with some effort before picking up his swords, which ended up a few meters from him, and launching himself into combat again. "You don't have to remind me, brat!"
Zakir appeared next to Edzard and displaying great skill, he launched a combo of three quick hits, which made Ozzozachar scream in rage.
"Damn sons of bitches!" Ozzozachar yelled as he saw how the wounds that had been done to him began to bleed. "How dare they hurt me! Damn scumbags!"
Following that yell, Ozzozachar covered his body in chaotic energy and launched himself at Edzard and Zakir, who responded by covering their bodies in black and blue fire, respectively.
The two heroes charged at Ozzozachar and, meeting in the middle, began a furious and fast-paced battle. The blows that began to be exchanged were so fast and powerful that they began to create cracks in the ground, along with generating gales and earthquakes.
"Take this!" Zakir yelled as he fired a «Sun Ray» at Ozzozachar, who moved quickly and managed to dodge said attack, but he couldn't dodge the «Forbidden Sun» that Edzard threw at him from behind.
The overloaded spell impacted the daedra, causing it to plummet to the ground, creating an earthquake and crater on impact. However, despite that, none of the heroes had time to rest or get some air, as Ozzozachar quickly got up and began to attack them.
The battle continued for several more minutes, minutes in which Edzard and Zakir used several of their best attacks to manage to wound and stop the son of Bal, but that did not come without injuries, as they, too, had taken their fair share of hits during of this combat. The injuries they both had were from the Daedra's claws, as his spells had been dodged using their speed or neutralized by spells from Edzard and Zakir.
"Hah, hah..." Both heroes were breathing heavily.
"This doesn't have when to end." Edzard said as they watched as Ozzozachar got back up.
"You have-"
Zakir's words came to a halt as a great earthquake shook the place, causing Ozzozachar to start laughing as both heroes worried.
"Ha, ha, ha! They are out of time… This world will be transported to Coldharbor!" Ozzozachar yelled with amusement and cruelty. "I can't wait for everyone here to be teleported! I will have fun torturing them and raping all their women!"
Edzard gritted his teeth at that, not willing to let anyone dare lay a finger on any of the women he knew. So, beginning to cover his body with magic, he prepared to launch himself at Ozzozachar. However, his attempted attack was stopped by Zakir, who placed a hand on his shoulder.
"What?" Edzard growled.
Edzard looked at the Palace and felt a weight lift from his shoulders as Asia and those who had created a second barrier to keep the civilians protected began to cross the portal.
"Looks like it's about time. We have done our part, we must go."
"No. Not yet." Zakir said, drawing Edzard's attention.
"What do you mean?"
"We have to make this defeat a Pyrrhic defeat." Zakir said bringing his face close to Edzard's ear to begin whispering the plan he had devised during the battle.
"Okay." Edzard said when he finished hearing the plan. After that, he disappeared in a burst of speed and appearing in front of Ozzozachar, began to fight hand-to-hand against him.
As Edzard fought, Zakir closed his eyes and began to gather a large amount of Magicka.
"Okay." Edzard said when he finished hearing the plan. After that, he disappeared in a burst of speed and appearing in front of Ozzozachar, began to fight hand-to-hand against him.
As Edzard fought, Zakir closed his eyes and began to gather a large amount of magic.
'Come on...' Zakir thought as he began to sweat from the effort he was making. When he felt that he had accomplished what he was planning, he quickly stopped clasping both hands and held the spell in his left hand to quickly reach his right hand into his back bag and pull out a small fragment of Aetherius that he had over there. The little gem was a «Skyshards», a small shard of meteoric glass imbued with the power of Anu. Uniting the shard with the spell, Zakir created a spear of multicolored light.
The spell that the Lilmothiit had used was called «Flaming Spear», which is a spell that created a solar fire lance with which he could create a shower of solar fire over an area, but now that he had mixed it with the power of Anu, the flames that would fall would have the power of Aetherius with it.
Swinging the spear, Zakir aimed at Ozzozachar, who was still fighting Edzard. Narrowing his eyes, the Lilmothiit took a deep breath and when he saw the moment, he threw the spear hard.
The spell traveled at high speed, but when it was about to hit Ozzozachar, he moved to the side and dodged the attack.
"Hahaha! Your final attack missed, Vestige!" yelled Ozzozachar mockingly. Bal's son was not stupid, he knew that this attack had Aetherius power in it, so if it hit him, it would cause a lot of damage.
Zakir looked at Ozzozachar and smirked, confusing the son of Bal.
"I never aimed at you, idiot!" Zakir yelled mockingly, then yelled loudly again. "Dovahkiin! Do it now!"
Zakir's words made Ozzozachar's eyes widen in horror. So, turning his head, the son of Bal watched in horror as Edzard made his swords disappear with conjuration magic and proceeded to take the spear with both hands.
"No!" Ozzozachar yelled as he moved to the side, believing that Edzard would launch the attack at him. However, to the daedra's surprise, Edzard shouted.
"WULD! NAH! KEST!"
The thu'um of «Whirlwind Sprint» caused Edzard to plummet to the ground at high speed. Seeing this, Ozzozachar finally understood what both heroes had planned. They hadn't planned to just stop him to allow the beings of this land to escape, no, their plan was to get them out of the way and then do this.
NOOOO!" Ozzozachar screamed as he desperately lunged at Edzard to try to stop what he was planning.
When Edzard saw that he was only a few meters from the ground, he waved his hands and as he plunged the spear into the ground, he shouted. "QETH! KRII! GOL!"
Hundreds of spikes of molten lava erupted across the site, but unlike before, this time the hardened magma was not red, but multicolored, a clear sign that the land of this dimension now had shards of Aetherius in it, which made the «Ley Lines» of this place have part of the power of Aetherius.
This had been the plan that Zakir had whispered to him, the plan itself was to make this victory for Bal not complete, but also a defeat for him, since this land, which would serve as a source of power for other black anchors, now not only was it not connected to the power of Kyoto, but it was also now infected with Aetherius power, which would render its useless for any of Bal's plans. Also, thanks to the door being broken, this place would no longer have any value to Bal.
"DAMN!" Ozzozachar screamed as he saw how he had been unable to stop Edzard and Zakir. "Damn sons of bitches! Now if I kill them!"
Screaming, Ozzozachar began to expel all the power he possessed and charged at Edzard.
"First I will kill you, Dovahkiin!" Ozzozachar screamed and using his superior speed, managed to catch up with Akatosh's son.
Edzard watched as Ozzozachar tried to impale him with one of his claws, but before he could, he shouted.
"FEIM!"
Edzard's body became ethereal, allowing him to dodge Ozzozachar's attack. When the daedra's attack missed, Edzard shouted again.
"WULD! NAH! KEST!"
Thanks to this thu'um, he appeared next to Zakir and grabbing his shoulder, Edzard quickly used a coin like the ones he had given to his group members and escaped with Zakir.
When Ozzozachar saw Edzard and Zakir disappear in a purple vortex, he let out a roar filled with rage.
Author's note:
To those who have made it this far, Thanks for reading. Because being honest, I don't know how to write much in English and I'm relying on Google translators and the dictionaries that come with office 2019.
Chapter 50 and the second of this Christmas marathon XD
Zakir's identity is finally revealed, and we see him fight alongside the Dovahkiin to inflict a defeat on Bal in a sense. We also see that Edzard's parents have been captured to see if it is possible to cure them. Also, we see Vali's team arrive to help in this invasion. Now, about Zakir's relationship with Edzard's parents I'm sure you can already see that they know each other, the reason for this, well that will be revealed in the future XD.
