Tony Stark pondered that detail a little as he glanced up at his perfect date.
Everything was super loud around the two of them, but Steve's silence was burning a hole in Tony's baby soul.

"Have you ever heard the expression… be careful what you wish for? Steve?"

The brunette was far from being considered dumb, and he could sense what Steve Rogers was alluding to with his adorable question.
Steve had questions. That was obvious, but Tony never spoke about his "connection" to Obadiah Stane for a reason.
He was sparing that honey blonde from knowing the truth.
Well, maybe… Tony was sparing himself from knowing the truth too, because he knew it wasn't a pleasant story.

It was a horrible story, actually, and Tony felt as if he'd given Steve bits and pieces of it throughout their relationship.
Not too long ago, the brunette confessed that he was somewhat "rescued" by another version of Steve… but that was it.
That's all he gave that beautiful blonde to go on, and yeah… you can call it bread crumbs.

Steve Rogers was always calm, patient, and beyond the notion of being a gentle person.
Tony Stark adored him, actually, and some might say the moment between them was something that had been in the works for a very long time.
Tony had been expecting it… long before he ever met the Steve Rogers that was standing in front of him.

Oh, Tony took a moment to really look at "his" version of Steve. It was stirring around some emotions that weren't unexpected either, so…

Now, the brunette contemplated how to proceed before he said anything else.
He had all his technology at his disposal to give Steve the answers he was seeking, plus he had possession of two Infinity Gems in order to accomplish that goal…
Ezekiel gave him his crown back in the last story, if you recall, and that means the Prince of Darkness officially returned Tony's epic gift.
The Mind Stone was back in Tony's possession, so the "feisty" brunette inwardly mapped out his plan to use it, for Steve…

"I'll show you who's charm I'm referring to, and I'll show you what happened just before we met.."

Going "full circle" in one big final rotation is the biggest plot-point of this story, so Tony Stark made a decision.
That decision was final, so he brought both of his hands up to that sunshine golden hair… then he gently touched the sides of Steve's face.
The blonde didn't necessarily hesitate, but he wasn't expecting what happened next.
It felt like Tony put some sort of globe over his head, but he didn't.
Steve could also see…things. Things that were maybe, memories? Was it a vision?
It felt like his eyes suddenly weren't his own, but he immediately recognized that he was inside the Stark Mansion, way off in California…
