All attention turned when the door to the mirror chamber was slammed open
"We were missing a student so I went to find them!" Crowley exclaimed before noticing two other students who hadn't been sorted yet
"Why have these two yet to be sorted?" Crowley seemed to almost demand
"...the mirror seems to think their names aren't true nor full" A male with blonde hair that faded to purple replied calmly to the headmage who frowned and looked at the other two first years, Tsunami glanced ahead before she smiled when she recognised them.
"Skull, Chrome" Tsunami smiled as she hurried over to the two
"Heya" Skull smirked as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder and Chrome hugged her tight
"Did you panic when you woke up in the...gate?" Chrome asked Tsunami who snorted
"You could say that, it's not every day one wakes up in a coffin for the second time" Tsunami smirked and both her elements snorted softly at the inside joke, the trio were whispering, so the only ones to actually hear their conversation was a man with lion ears and a tail and Grim.
"hmph, please don't remind me of that timeline, I would rather not think about it" Chrome added quietly, her expression sad and Tsunami nodded her head softly
"of course, my dear nebula" Tsunami promised Chrome quietly who nodded again before all three heard a throat being cleared
"ahem. If you three would please step forth and state your names?" Crowley asked the three of them, Tsunami sighed before she stepped before the mirror and she took a deep breath, her mind raced with what she could use as a last name...perhaps...
"Tsunami DeMort" Tsunami introduced herself and Skull was slightly startled before he chuckled as he walked forward and wrapped an arm around her shoulder
"Skull DeMort" Skull introduced himself once again and Chrome smiled as she walked up and wrapped her arm around Tsunami's other shoulder
"Chrome DeMort" the mist introduced herself with a grin.
The mirror froze stiff as it gazed at the trio in silence for a few moments, he recognised the brunette...or rather recognised the magic and knew who's daughter she was and yet...
"...The shape of thy souls" the mirror eventually relented, it well remembered the grief it had with the brunette's mother regarding her own chosen name,
"...I can not determine" the mirror continued and everyone startled at the mirror's words
"P-Pardon?!" Crowley demanded of the mirror who sighed
"I can not determine the shape of thy souls" the mirror repeated its words as it kept its gaze on the trio from beyond the mirrors.
The trio whose souls were full of fire and flame, one whose soul was ancient...more ancient than perhaps the school itself, one whose soul was shrouded within mist and the other...
The brunette's soul...
Was ripped and torn in multiple ways and yet she still stood before the mirror.
"...the shape and colour are there...yet all three bare qualities of multiple dorms...as such I can not sort them" the mirror continued and it watched as chaos seemed to erupt within the chamber, the trio whose souls were fire gazed at the mirror in shock and the brunette seemed to smirk beneath her hood.
Yes...that was definitely Furihime's daughter alright...
Not even Furihime had been that woman's true last name, and yet it was what she had chosen in that moment.
How fitting, the mirror thought, that her daughter's chosen last name would be a play on the fact she very much should be dead.
Crowley gazed at the mirror in shock as he listened to it's words, his shock was enough for Grim to get free of the cord around him
"If you can't sort them! Sort me! The great Grim! behold my magic!" Grim exclaimed as he shot his blue fire out, which caused the chamber to seem to catch on fire, which only added to the sheer chaos of the chamber.
"ah! I'm on fire!" the male with red eyes panicked as he tried to put the fire out, Chrome hurried over to help pat out the fire
"Thanks!" the man grinned and Chrome paused and blinked her lone eye
"...of course" she spoke softly before she watched as the short red-haired male and the male wearing glasses tried to catch Grim.
"Chrome" Tsunami spoke up and Chrome nodded her head
"of course" The mist nodded her head, a trident appeared in her hands almost briefly before snakes appeared and wrapped around Grim's body causing the feline to freeze and almost panic,
"ack! where did these snakes come from!" Grim exclaimed in fear
"OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!" the red-haired male exclaimed and a collar appeared around Grim's neck, causing his fire to be no more.
"...uh...Miss DeMort..." Crowley spoke and both females looked at him
"...the one who summoned the snakes" Crowley clarified and Chrome seemed to blink
"Chrome, if you would" Tsunami sighed and Chrome nodded with a smile, she twirled her trident and the snakes vanished, her trident also vanishing in a haze of mist.
"there...snakes are gone" Chrome hummed in reply as she walked back to Tsunami and leaned against her back slightly, wanting to feel her warmth, which Tsunami allowed of course, she also enjoyed it when her elements saught her warmth.
"...was that her signature spell?" someone whispered and Tsunami smirked slightly at the whispers
"ahem! any! control your familiar" Crowley told Tsunami who sighed
"for the last time, I've never met him before in my life" Tsunami shot back and when Crowley looked at Skull and Chrome both shook their heads
"not ours" Skull spoke for the two of them.
"I see..." Crowley spoke thoughtfully and Tsunami's eyebrow twitched dangerously
"I've told you this multiple times now" Tsunami huffed in annoyance as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"I see...well then! someone get this monster out of here!" Crowley demanded after he had cleared his throat to try and brush off the fact that he had been wrong.
Once Grim had been taken away, all while yelling that it wasn't fair, they couldn't do this to him and that he was going to go down in history as a great mage.
"...I feel kinda bad for him..." Chrome whispered quietly to the other two as they watched Grim get taken away,
"ahem, well...that was an unexpected outcome..." Crowley spoke once Grim had left
"I hereby declare this orientation over! Housewardens please escort your students back to the dorm" Crowley continued before he paused and glanced around the mirror chamber with what could have been a frown behind his mask.
"Hm? Come to think of it, I don't see house warden Draconia of Dorm Diasomnia anywhere" Crowley finally said once he couldn't find 'Draconia' within the chamber,
"And that surprises you? dude's a total recluse" the male with lion ears scoffed looking annoyed at the mention of Draconia
"wait a sec...did anyone even invite him?" the male with red eyes asked, almost shocked at the idea that no one had invited Draconia.
It was the male whose blonde hair faded to purple who scoffed
"If you're that worried about him missing out, maybe you should have told him yourself," the male told the boy with red eyes who suddenly froze slightly and stuttered
"Maybe...but I don't know him too well either..." the boy replied and the trio of flame users shared a look between them, as they heard students whispering between themselves or rather...they were muttering between themselves.
"Draconia...Like, Malleus Draconia? THAT Draconia?"
"So it's true? he really does go to school here?"
"Yikes" The door to the mirror chamber opened and standing there was another man, his pink eyes scanned the room before he sighed
"Ah, just as I'd expected" the boy sighed and Chrome startled slightly at the deep voice coming from someone who looked so young.
"I figured I'd come down and see for myself whether Malleus made an appearance" The man sighed almost in disappointment
"But once again, he was evidently not informed that his presence was required at an official ceremony" the deep voice-man finished still almost disappointed that 'Malleus' hadn't been invited or informed about the opening ceremony for the new students.
"You have my sincerest apologies. I assure you, the oversight in no way intended to be a snub" Azul spoke to the deep-voiced boy as he pushed his glasses up his nose, the action giving Skull flashbacks to Verde, those memories certainly were not pleasant in the slightest.
"I mean, you must admit, he's not the easiest person to strike up a conversation with" Riddle added, it was almost as if they were wary of this 'Malleus' and what would happen if he should take the lack of an invite as a 'snub'.
"No matter. All who are assigned to Diasomnia, follow me. I just hope he doesn't sulk about this" The deep-voiced male sighed and shook his head before leading the students of Diasomnia out of the chamber.
He was followed by the others also taking their new students out of the mirror chamber, leaving Crowley alone with the three first years that the mirror couldn't sort into any dorm available, and yet...for some reason...
The brunette reminded him of someone...
Someone from a few years ago...
But the last name was vastly different from that woman's last name...the only other female student to have ever attended NRC before...
Nana raised an eyebrow at Bermuda as she calmly sipped her tea
"...why are you not panicking?" Bermuda asked her, his hands tense around his own mug of tea
"Hm? Oh I know where they are" Nana replied calmly, her posture was relaxed although there was a glint in her eyes while she gazed at Bermuda.
"Then, where are they?" Bermuda deadpanned, almost annoyed that Nana was being so vague and calm about the fact her daughters were missing along with her daughter's true cloud.
"why? they're beyond the mirrors of course, in a realm devoid of soul fire yet abundant with magic" Nana replied with a small smirk upon her face when she saw the bandages upon Bermuda's face shift and change into something that almost resembled disbelief at what he was hearing.
"By the sounds I heard last night, they're currently at Night Raven College" Nana added while she sipped her tea calmly
"of course, should they be in danger, you and I both know Tsu-chan will be able to get out of any trouble that comes there way" Nana continued and Bermuda would have thought she didn't care her daughter was somewhere else...only...
Bermuda had seen the tightened of her grip on the mug...the way her eyes flashed the colour of her flames for the briefest of seconds...
Bermuda knew full well that Nana did care and that she was pissed her daughters and friend had been taken in the middle of the night, it didn't matter that she knew where they were, they had still been taken with no warning at all.
