24. Chapter 24

Hello everyone, sorry for the wait, I was in the Galar region for a week and couldn't write, plus I feel like this and the next chapter should be posted together, so tomorrow I'll post chapter 24.

Now as you might have heard in chapter 35(or 36 on the tab) of my Dragon Prince story. I thought of a crossover of this story of Kipo being mixed with Zootopia, and would save a summary of it for this chapter, so here it is.

Set years after the ending of Kipo, life is going well for all of them, there's peace in Las Vasta, and they even started families and have their kids. But one day while Kipo and Kalena are out by themselves, they're forced on a mission to find someone lost in Zootopia if they want to go home to their families. And along the way, they make friends with a rabbit and fox. Now can the four of them work together and find who they're looking for and bring peace to the city, or will the city tear itself apart before they can complete their mission.

Now as you might have guessed from the summary, I won't do this crossover until Kipo is over, which is only in 6 more chapters after tomorrow. Let me know if you want to see this story.

Adventure 23

A Wolf in Wolf's Clothing And Broken Trust

Las Vasta Streets

Under the night sky, Emilia and her lackeys were looking around the convent store for some new science supplies with all of their old stuff getting blown to pieces. "Do we need any of these?" Greta asked Emilia, holding up a bag of noodles. "I don't know, Greta, do we need noodles to rebuild my lab?" Emilia asked Greta, a clear no in her voice.

"Um… by your tone, I feel like we might not." Greta said to Emilia. "Put the noodles down. We have a list for a reason. The next time Kipo or Kalena comes we'll be ready. We'll be ready for them all.

Meanwhile above them were two young Newton Wolves, and when they tried to leave, they made a scraping sound that alerted the humans to them. Then with some bad luck the ceiling gave out, causing one of them to fall to the floor, getting everyone's attention.

The Newton Wolf then ran for it, but was stopped when Emilia hit the wolf with a tranq dart, knocking the wolf out. Right as Emilia tried to finish the wolf, the wolf that was once Wolf's friend came from the ceiling, and tried to attack Emilia, only to be caught by Greta.

"Let go." The wolf said to everyone with a female voice. But Emilia instead pointed her crossbow at the wolf.

Timbercat Village

Next morning in the Timbercats Village, Kipo and the gang were talking to the Timbercats, Fitness Raccoons, and Ratland Rats.

"So, you see, if you guys join Hmufa, everyone from the burrow will see how not-scary mutes are. No offense, Yumyan." Kipo said to everyone. "None taken." Yumyan said to Kipo, sharpening his axes.

"Then the humans will be, like, "Emilia's the one who's evil!" And then friendship wins forever and ever!" Kipo said to everyone. "You make it sound simple, Kipo. But remember Emilia is wearing the mask of a hero. Even if you make it so they're not scared of the mutes, you still have to expose Emilia's true colors to make her the villain in their eyes." Kalena said to Kipo. "Not helping Kalena." Kipo said to Kalena.

"First of all, we love your energy." Label said to Kipo. "Your positivity is an ocean, and we're getting rocked by your waves." Tongue Depressor said to Kipo. "But… we definitely can't join your alliance." Amy said to Kipo.

"What? Why not?" Kipo asked everyone. "Because we're afraid!" Label said to Kipo. "of the humans? They're just confused." Wolf said to Label. "No, not them. We're afraid of him!" Amy said to everyone, whispering the last part, and pointing to Scarlemagne.

From above Scarlemagne noticed them, and wasn't insulted, instead he smirked at them and waved at them.

"Scarlemagne tried to send us into the final meditation." Tongue Depress said to Kipo. "He destroyed our beautiful park!" Amy said to Kipo. "RIP Ratland." Benson said to everyone, putting his head over his chest.

"They're right, you are asking a lot of us. To not only work with Mutes who we've had trouble with, but to work with the mute that wanted to force his will on us." Mia said to Kipo.

"Look, I'm sorry, Kipo, but if he's here, we are out of here." Label said to Kipo. "But he's in a cage, and he can't conquer anyone from in there. Besides, he's really sorry… probably." Kipo said to everyone, making everyone laugh at her, even Dave.

Kalena then transformed her head, and let out a surge of blue flames that caused everyone to stop laughing and look at her. Kalean then turned her head back to normal.

"I know Scarlemagne has done a lot of bad things. But he was trying to bring everyone together, in his own way, and I'm sure somewhere deep, deep, deep inside him, he's sorry." Kalena said to everyone.

"Scarlemagne Sorry? Fat chance." Amy said to Kalena. "I gotta do crunches just thinking about all the fat in that chance." Label said to Kalena, before she started to do crunches.

"Stop crunching!" Kipo said to Label. "Kalena and I are serious. Deep down, he's sorry. What if we can get him to apologize?" Kipo asked everyone, making everyone laugh again. But Amy stopped first, and noticed a serious look on her face.

"Oh… you're serious." Amy said to Kipo, while everyone kept laughing. "Maybe we should talk to Scarlemagne instead of everyone here." Kalena said to Kipo. saying nothing Kipo agreed.

Soon Kipo and Kalena went to see Scarlemagne, and explain everything to him. "So, you see, you just need to give them a real, honest apology at the HMUFA meeting later today." Kipo said to Scarlemagne, making him laugh.

"Oh, oh, that's good. Oh… Oh, you're serious?" Scarlemagne asked them , after he stopped laughing and noticed their serious faces. "Well, very well. What do I get if I apologize?" Scarlemagne asked everyone.

"Nothing. You do it because it's the right thing to do, and you're a nice person. Somewhere deep. Very… deep inside. Deep." Kipo said to Scarlemagne, as Wolf showed up with some crab meat.

"Only one problem with that plan, Kipo. To apologize, he'd actually have to mean it." Wolf said to Kipo. "Oh, I'm so deeply, terribly sorry. What have I done? Leave me to my shame!" Scarlemagne said to everyone, being overly dramatic.

"If we wanted an apology like that we would ask Puck and the TheaOtters for it." Kalena said to Scarlemagne, as Wolf gave Scarlemagne the meat. "Crab again? We're in a forest. There's fruit and vegetables everywhere!" Scarlemagne said to everyone.

"Well we don't have a lot of options for protein, and we got to eat most of this before it spoils, so eat up." Kalena said to Scarlemagne. "And all I'm asking is for you to completely change your heart and tell them that you're honestly sorry for everything you've done." Kipo said to Scarlemagne.

"I don't know. Sounds like a whole thing. People tend not to forgive someone who tries to pour molten gold on them." Scarlemagne said to Kipo, making Kipo sigh and walk away in disappointment. Wolf gave Scarlemagne, a I'm watching you gesture before walking away.

"You don't make things easy, brother. I know you think things have been unfair to you, but acting the way you do, isn't helping. And despite what you think Kipo's ideas, they work out in the end, so start trusting your sister and apologize to everyone." Kalena said to Scarlemagne, as she walked away.

And while Kalena's words made Scarlemagne think, the thought passed once he looked at the crab meat in front of him.

"Am I crazy to try?" Kipo asked everyone, as Wolf and Kalena walked to her sides. "No!" Kalena and Wolf said to Kipo. "Yes." Scarlemagne said to Kipo. "Scarlemagne's wrong. And if there's anyone who can prove it, it's you." Wolf said to Kipo.

"I'm not eating this. The smell of the sea revolts me!" Scarlemagne said to everyone. "Well that's all you got until dinner, so eat it." Kalena said to

Later Wolf and Star were walking to an open area to train, when she heard some rustling. But that's when a large bird flew, and Wolf thought that caused the rustling.

But then out of the blue, a rope snare triggered under her right leg, and hung her up into the air. That's when the female wolf that betrayed Wolf and was caught by Emilia walked out from some tall grass.

"I hear you go by "Wolf" now." The wolf said to Wolf. "Margot!" Wolf said to the wolf. "I wanted to…" Margot said to Wolf, but was interrupted by Wolf. "Star use Razor Leaf!" Wolf said to Star.

"Kartana!" Star said, as he moved to an angle next to the rope with Margot facing him. Star then let out some sharp leaves, cutting the rope and hitting the ground in front of Margot, causing Margot to run, with Wolf and Star quickly on her tail.

"Wait! Just give me a second!" Margot said to Wolf, as Wolf and Star chased her all over the village.

Meanwhile Kipo and Kalena were meditating with Virgo and Kommo-o, when they heard Wolf's yelling, and looked down on a branch below them to see Wolf and Star chasing Margot.

"What's going on?" Kipo asked Wolf, yelling a little. "Is it not obvious, she is in a rage while chasing a young female wolf." Kalena said to Kipo.

"But why is Wolf chasing a wolf girl in a school unifo…?" Kipo asked Kalena, before they realized who Margot was. "Oh, my, Margot! Is that the girl who betrayed you?" Kipo asked Wolf, as Margot ran past them. "She's mine!" Wolf said to Kipo, as she and Star ran past them.

"OK, I respect your boundaries. But I'm here if you need me to trample her!" Kipo said to Wolf, as Wolf and Star kept chasing Margot all over the place. "Relax Kipo, I'm sure Wolf can handle this." Kalena said to Kipo, as Margot jumped onto a ball of yarn, followed by Wolf and Star, with Star cutting the string keeping the ball in the air.

"Or not." Kalena said to Kipo, as they watched Wolf and Margot fall to the ground, only to land on the back of a large bird and fly into the air in a panic, with Star chasing after them.

"What, did you come to finish the job you started five years ago?" Wolf asked Margot, as she tried to punch Margot, but Magot dodged. "I just wanna talk!" Margot said to Wolf, as she kept dodging Wolf's punches.

"Talk? You don't know me very well." Wolf said to Margot, before pushing Margot and herself off the bird.

And while they did fall quite a way down, the two laned on the tree branches like it was normal and went back to the chase, with Star catching up with Wolf.

"Say the world, Wolf." Kipo said to Wolf, as Margot ran past her and the others. "Kipo, no." Wolf said to Kipo, as she and Star ran past her and the other.

"What that a "Kipo, now"?" Kipo asked Wolf. "Stay out of this sister. Wolf is dead set on doing this herself. I mean if she wanted help, she would have use Star a few times already." Kalena said to Kipo.

Wolf chase caused Margot to the branch where Scarlemagne was locked up. "If you're not trying to kill me… Then why did you trap me?" Wolf asked Margot, as she swung her rope at Margot.

But Margot was able to toss Wolf away. "Cause I thought that you'd try to kill me!" Margot said to Wolf. "Well, you got one thing right!" Wolf said to Margot. "Um, I'm sorry, but who is this?" Scarlemagne asked Wolf.

But Wolf ignored Scarlemagne's question and attacked Margot. While attacking Wolf swept Margot's legs, knocking Margot to the floor. "Please. I… I just need your help." Margot said to Wolf.

Wolf looked at her for a bit, and lowered her rope. "Oh, it's over? But you're both still alive." Scarlemagne said to everyone.

But willing to listen to Margot, didn't mean she trusted her. So Wolf wrapped her up in some rope, and gathered the rest of the gang.

"How did you know where to find us?" Wolf asked Margot, as she put Margot near the edge of a branch that was high in the trees. "There's a bunch of otters doing a whole play about you. It includes your address and everything." Margot said to Wolf.

"We got to talk to Punk about that." Aqua said to everyone. "Why would you need my help?" Wolf asked Margot. "We were scavenging in Deathstalker territory, and got cornered. I escaped, but… my brother Rupert's trapped. I didn't know who else to turn to. The rest of our pack was whipped out by the Cheetah Boxers that night. And you're the only person I know who's escaped those scorpions." Margot said to Wolf.

"Um, why should we believe you? You're the wolf who pretended to be our Wolf's best friend, and then hunted her. How dare you." Benson said to Margot. "You're about to feel the wrath of a Human Mute Ultimate Friendship Alliance! Despite our welcoming name, we bring the pain!" Dave said to Margot, punching his fist into his palms.

"Guys, this is Wolf's decision. We need to respect her choice." Kipo said to everyone. "Because we're real friends who never betray her!" Kipo said to Margot, with an angry tune in her voice, and getting closer to Margot. "Easy sister." Kalena said to Kipo, pulling Kipo a little bit away from Margot.

Wolf then sighed. "I'll do it." Wolf said to Margot. "Yeah, what she said." Dave said to Margot. "Wait, what?" Dave asked Wolf, finally hearing what Wolf said. "Really?" Margot asked Wolf.

"You don't deserve my help. But if there's one thing I've learned from Kipo, it's that I should help you anyway." Wolf said to Margot. "Because It's the right thing to do, and I'm a nice person. Somewhere deep, very deep inside. Deep." Wolf said to Scarlemagne.

"Yeah! OK, we're doing this! But who's gonna get Scarlemagne to apologize? Youmyan?" Kipo asked everyone. "You are, with Kalena's help. Stay here. HMUFA needs you, and Kalena can help keep them quiet. Besides, we're leaving you two with the harder job." Wolf said to Kipo, as they all looked at Scarlemagne.

"And if this is a trap, I'll be wearing you next." Wolf said to Margot, pointing her hook at Margot.

A little bit later, in the great hall, the Timbercats were having a good time playing with a ball of yarn that they had hanging from the ceiling. But the good times ended when Kipo pushed Scarlemagne's cage into the hall all of a sudden with her jaguar arms.

"Hey, what's he doing here?" A male Timbercat asked Kipo and Kalena, as Kipo turned her arms back to normal and they entered the hall. "I don't wanna see him!" A female timbercat said to everyone. "Let's throw stuff at him!" Another female Timber said, before they all threw pancakes at the Scarlemagne's cage.

"Oh, yeah, boo me. You know what? Boo, you guys! Boo, you!" Scarlemagne said to everyone, as Kipo and Kalena ran to the front of the cage. "Stop throwing stuff!" Kipo said to everyone. "Yeah, this is a waste of perfectly good food." Kalena said to everyone. "Oh, actually, could I have some of that?" Scarlemagne asked everyone, pointing to the pancakes.

Yumyan then raised his left paw, making everyone stop. "We're trying to show him what community means." Kipo said to everyone. "Yeah, and this isn't helping." Kalena said to everyone. "Let's work together to wipe down his cage. So we can throw more stuff at his cage!" Yumyan said to everyone.

"Nore is that." Kalena said to Yumyan. "I see what the problem is." Kipo said to everyone. "That you shouldn't have sprung this on then out of the blue?" Kalena asked Kipo, before Kipo moved to open the cage and let Scarlemagne out, surprising everyone.

"Uh, what are you doing?" Scarlemagne asked Kipo. "You can't get to know people from behind a piece of glass. So… I'm showing you some trust." Kipo said to Scarlemagne, as Scarlemagne walked out of the cage.

This caused the Timbercats to scream and run away. "Saw that coming." Kalena said to Kipo. "That's OK. It's just gonna tackle them a minute to see what I…" Kipo said to Kalena, but was interrupted when a pancake was thrown into their faces.

As the pancakes fell off their face, they turned to see Scarlemagne laughing at them before running away. "Saw that coming as well." Kalena said to everyone, as Scarlemagne was sent flying back, landing on his back right in front of Kipo and Kalena and Kommo-o entered the hall.

"Ready to get started?" Kipo asked Scarlemagne. "And before you say anything know that no isn't an option." Kalena said to Scarlemagne, making Scarlemagne groan.

Skyscraper Ridge

Meanwhile the rest of the gang was walking through Skyscraper Ridge, with a wolf leading the way, Margot behind her, and everyone keeping an eye on Margot from behind her. And when Margot looked behind her, she saw the Pokemon and guys ready for a fight, and Aqua was just giving her a serious look.

"We're not taking our eyes off you." Benson said to Margot. "Yeah. I haven't blinked in hours. It was fine for a while and then it became painful. Now, it's fine again, Ow! Nope, it's… It's… it's… it's bad again." Dave said to Margot. "You really should blink before your eyes dry up and fall out." Aqua said to Dave.

"Do they have to come along?" Margot asked Wolf, before Wolf stopped her. "Like we'd let her go anywhere alone with you." Dave said to Margot, as he kept his eyes on Margot and walked past her, and without paying attention, Dave fell off the edge of a large gap, but was saved by Wolf's quick reflex.

Wolf then pulled Dave up, making Dave sigh. "Thank you, true friend." Dave said to Wolf, hugging her. "And to think you tried to eat her!" Dave said to Margot.

Wolf then used her hook to swing across the gap, while Margot jumped up to what Wolf used to hook onto, and swung across by herself, Groove, Lady, and Cloak grabbed their partners and jumped, well floating in Cloak's case, across the gap with ease.

But once everyone was on the other side, Wolf ran ahead of everyone, with Margot having a serious look on her face before going after Wolf.

"Oh, man! I hate chasing Wolf." Benson said to everyone. "How are they so fast? Their legs are so short." Dave asked everyone. "Dude, I know!" Benson said to Dave. "The more you complain, the farther they get away. SO MOVE!" Aqua said to Benson and Dave, as she started to push them, making them go after Wolf and Margot.

Wolf and Margot ran through the place, beeing neck and neck, until Wolf stopped. "Wow, you're still really fast." Margot said to Wolf, as she stopped next to Wolf. Wolf smiled for a second, but quickly dismissed it.

That's when the rest of the group caught up, all of them panting. "Of course, she is. She's been running for her life every day of her… life!" Dave said to Margot, as he caught his breath.

"My life hasn't been easy either." Margot said to Dave. "Oh-ho, boo hoo." Dave said to Margot, as everyone moved to Wolf's side. "Benson, you got eyes on her? I gotta sneeze." Dave asked Benson. "I'm dialed in. Go for it." Benson said to Dave, before they both sneezed, making Benson gasp.

"Oh, no!" Benson said. "Oh, no! Did she stab you in your back while we sneezed?" Dave asked Wolf. "Wha… I… No!" Margot said to Dave. "Likely story." Benson said to Margot. "Guys, I'm fine. Cut it out. Aqua keeps them under control." Wolf said to everyone. "You know I can't once they get too into something." Aqua said to Wolf.

"See? No back-stabbing. Let's go." Margot said to everyone, as she started to leave, with everyone following her, all of them giving her a serious look.

Timbercat Village

Back in the Timbercats Village, Cotton, Camille, and a few other Umlaut Snakes tuning their guitars with the Stakatakas forming a box around them. But the Stakataka moved, opening the box, as Kipo, and Kalena walked up to them.

"Hey, guys. Nobody slither away." Kipo said to the Umlaut Snakes. "And before you ask, it's because Kipo is trying something stupid." Kalena said to the Umlaut Snakes. "OK, you may know Scarlemagne from trying to melt you-" Kipo said to the Umlaut Snakes, as Kommo-o walked out from behind a tree with Scarlemagne, but was interrupted by Cotton.

"Uh, that's exactly how we know him!" Cotton said to Kipo. "But this time he's here to melt… your hearts." Kipo said to the Umlaut Snakes, as she forced Scarlemagne forward. "For the record, I don't want to be here." Scarlemagne said to everyone, as he tried to walk away, only to be met by Virgo, who flew up to him with a serious look on her face.

This made Scarlemagne backup and turned to the Umlaut Snakes. "Honestly, just put me back in the cage." Scarlemagne said to Kipo and Kalena. "No." Kipo said to Scarlemagne.

"So, is there anything he can help you with?" Kipo asked the Umlaut Snakes. "Hmm." Cotton said, as she had an idea. "Ten fingers, huh?" Cotton asked Scarlemagne, as she gave him her guitar. "Is this acoustic? You know, the secret to turning a guitar is…" Scarlemagne said to Cotton, before he yelled and slammed the guitar into the ground breaking it. This caused a sound wave that stunned everyone, and let him run.

But Kalena was already ahead of him, and knew he would try something like this, so when he ran, Turtonator came from behind his hiding spot and moved right in front of Scarlemagne. And with Scarlemagne looking back as he ran, he ran right into Turtonator's shell, causing an explosion that sent Scarlemagne flying back to the other.

Next Kipo and Kalena took Scarlemagne to help with the dishes. But Scarlemagne found the rag disgusting, and while watching the first plate, Kipo started to pet Mandu, and while Kalena looked outside to see if there were any more plates.

With their attention diverted, Scarlemagne tossed the rage and dish he was washing into the floor, and ran out the window.

But as he went down the tree, he landed on Exeggutor's head, who spun his head around and sent Scarlemagne flying back into the kitchen.

And with Molly's supervision, Scarlemagne managed to get some dishes done.

Next Kipo and Kalena made Scarlemagne join the Fitness Raccoons for some Cardio dance fitness. And while Kipo and Virgo join the dance, with Virgo doing the best she could to follow along, Scarlemagne, Kalena, and Kommo-o just give them an odd look.

Scarlemagne tried to join in, but after a second of dancing, he had enough and broke the speaker. But before he got too far, Kalena let out Goodra, and Goodra used her tentacles to grab Scarlemagne and pull back to the other.

Meanwhile Yumyan was playing with the young ones in the village. "I'm a spooky monster!" Yumyan said to the young ones, before he roared at them. This caused the young ones to yell and giggle as they ran away.

"Yumyan squishes you all!" Yumyan said, as he pounced on two of the kids, causing them all to laugh.

That's when the last of the young one, who was a timberkitten. ran to Kipo, Kalena, Scarlemagne, Kommo-o and Virgo, and ran right into Kipo's arms, causing Kipo to pick him up and hold him with a large smile on her face, and the Timberkitten giggling.

But the Timberkitten stopped giggling when he noticed Scarlemagne, and Kipo held the Timberkitten to Scarlemagne, causing Scarlemagne to be uneasy, as he took the Timberkitten.

Not like this, Scarlemagne held the Timberkitten over his head, planning to stop him, but was stopped when the Timberkitten started to cry. This caused Scarlemagne to look at the Timberkitten and look at him. "No, no. I… Don't cry! It's OK shh. OK. Uh, Look! Uh, you're. You're a fierce little timberkitten!" Scarlemagne said to the Timberkitten, as he put him down.

"I am?" The Timberkitten asked Scarlemagne. "Yes, you are." Scarlemagne said to the Timberkitten. But this made the Timberkitten nervous, and he left out a soft roar. Scarlemagne looked up at Kipo and Kalena, and saw them giving him a play along look.

"Oh, no! Aah! Timberkittens and snakelets are chasing me!" Scarlemagne said to the Timberkitten, acting like he was scared as he ran away. This made the Timberkitten giggle. "You don't scare me, Scarlemagne!" The Timberkitten said, as he and a couple more young ones chased him playfully.

And while Yumyan was confused by this, Kipo and Kalena watched with a smile on their faces.

Dog Valley

Meanwhile Wolf was leading everyone through Dog Valley, much to Margot's announcement. "Do we have to go through the dog park? Can't we go around?" Margot asked Wolf, as Wolf made everyone stop before the Mega Dogs.

"Aren't you in a rush to get to your brother?" Wolf asked Marogt. "I am. We're no good to him if we're dead." Margot said to Wolf, as Wolf walked away. "And you're no good to him alive." Dave said to Margot.

"Too far?" Dave asked everyone else, as they followed Wolf. "Not far enough." Bensoin said to Dave. "But next time, try and say something that makes sense." Aqua said to Dave, as Margot finally started to move. Only for Margot to step on a chew toy, making a loud squeak sound.

"Uh-Oh." Benson said to everyone, as they looked at Margot. "Dave, did you put that there?" Aqua asked Dave. "It wasn't me." Dave said to Aqua. "It's OK. Just slowly lift your foot." Wolf said to Margot. And Margot did slowly lift her foot, but it got the attention of all the mega dogs.

Everyone then felt the ground shaking and looked up to see the mega dog coming at them. "RUN!" Aqua yelled, as they all yelled, and scattered, trying their best not to get sept on by all the dogs paws.

"There's too many feet! We're gonna get squished like bugs!" Dave said to everyone, as he jumped into Benson's arms while still avoiding the paws. "You are a bug!" Aqua said to Dave. "And you're immortal." Wolf said to Dave. "He's what?" Margot asked Wolf, as she moved to Wolf's side.

"No time to explain. Which one's the alpha, Margot?" Wolf asked Margot. "You're asking me? I don't know!" Margot said to Wolf, stuttering a little. "Yes, you do. You're a wolf! Focus." Wolf said to Margot.

Margot then shut up and started to sniff the air, Margot looked at the dogs, and stopped at the mega corgi. "Her! She's the Alpha!" Margot said to Wolf, pointing to the mega corgi. "Then come on." Wolf said to Margot, as she pulled out her hook rope.

Wolf and Margot then ran up some grass, and Wolf threw her hook rope at the mega corgi, hooking onto it, and letting Wolf swing onto the mega corgi, while holding onto Margot, and with no problem at all, they landed on the side of the mega corgi.

"Wolf, you're too far! I can't see if she's stabbing you!" Dave said to Wolf. "Is she stabbing you know? What about now?" Benson asked Wolf. That's when Aqua hit both Dave and Benson in the back of their heads. "You all can clearly see them just climbing up the mega corgi. You guys really gotta cool it, it's getting annoying." Aqua said to Benson and Dave, as Wolf and Margot climb up the mega corgi.

Once on the mega corgi's back, Wolf and Margot ran to the top of the mega corgi's head, and howled together, causing all the mega dogs to turn to the mega corgi and sit, with the mega corgi sitting last.

"Are Wolf and Margot, like, incharge of these dogs now?" Benson asked everyone. "Ooh, I'm gonna ride in his ear!" Dave said to everyone. "Dibs on the other ear!" Benson said to everyone. "Just stay away from the husky, I want it all to myself." Aqua said to everyone, as they ran to the mega dogs.

On the mega corgi's head, Wolf and Margot stopped howling. "That was amazing. It was like we were reading each other's minds." Margot said to Wolf, with a happy look on her face, but Wolf had a serious look on her face.

"Or like we were raised by the same monsters." Wolf said to Margot, making Margot feel bad.

Timbercat Village

Back at the village, the Timbercats, Fitness Raccoons, Umlaut Snakes, and Ratland Rats were in the main hall standing before two tables that were setted like a small stage, with a HMUFA sign behind it.

Then Kipo and Kalena walked into the hall, with a nervous Scarlemagne behind them. "Are you ready? Just like we practiced." Kipo said to Scarlemagne. "We didn't practice anything." Scarlemagne said to Kipo.

"Exactly. Because an apology comes from your heart." Kipo said to Scarlemagne, causing Scarlemagne to give Kalena. "She means to be open about your feelings, the right words will come out." Kalena said to Scarlemagne, making Scarlemagne look at all the mutes.

"Why is this so important to you?" Scarlemagne asked Kipo and Kalena. "Because If we can't get all the mutes to come together, then we'll never convince the humans that Emilia's wrong! And friendships loses forever and ever." Kipo said to Scarlemagne.

"If that's all you want, then why don't you just get rid of me?" Scarlemagne asked Kipo.

"Because it's not all I want. I want you to have a second chance." Kipo said to Scarlemagne. "And you're our brother, and someday we would like it if you were with us, making up for lost family time, instead of being left alone locked in your cage. And this is a good first step to that." Kalena said to Scarlemagne, before she and Kipo moved to the mutes.

Then the door behind Scarlemagne opened revealing the upper half of Mandu, Kommo-o and Virgo, with Mandu snorting, and Kommo-o and Virgo lightly growling. "Oh, calm down. I'm not going anywhere." Scarlemagne said to them.

With Kipo and Kalena, they were on the tables talking to the mutes. "Thank you all for coming to this very special meeting of HMUFA!" Kipo said to everyone, with a loud voice.

But no one responded to Kipo. "Good start." Kalena whispered sarcastically to Kipo. "Anyway, ever since the Battle of Aurum, we've become so much stronger together. But there's something keeping some of us apart." Kipo said to everyone. "Scarlemagne, could you please come up?" Kipo asked Scarlemagne, as she and Kalena jumped down off the tables, and Scarlemagne got onto the table.

Scarlemagne then cleared his throat. "Hello… everyone." Scarlemagne said to everyone, earning boos and complaining from all the mutes. "I just wanted to say that… often in life, we are faced with summer storms. Sometimes we are the thirsty roots of a tree, and others, the bird thrashing in the wind. Even so, the rain must fall. But the clouds will always make way for the sun. Do you see what I mean?" Scarlemagne asked everyone.

"Not a clue." Kalena said to Scarlemagne, as all the mutes complained about his apology and threw rotten food at him, scarling Scarlemagne. But that's when Kalena and Kipo jumped onto the table, blocking the food from hitting him.

"You guys! Stop! We already did the throwing thing!" Kipo said to everyone. "And while it's more effected to use bad food, this is unnecessary." Kalena said to everyone.

"We said… stop!" Kipo and Kalena said, at the same time, as Kipo summoned her paws, and Kalena transformed her arms and brought out her extra arms, and she encased her arms in purple energy.

The sight of the K's made the mute shut up and stop. And once they were done, the K's turned back to normal. "Let's try that again, brother." Kalena said to Scarlemagne.

"I've done terrible things to you. And in return you've shown me… patience. I don't deserve your forgiveness, and I don't expect anything to change after today. But… for what it's worth, I am sorry." Scarlemagne said to Kipo and Kalena, before turning to everyone.

"There we go." Kalena said, as she and Kipo gave Scarlemagne a proud smile. "Wow. Give it up for Scarlemagne, everyone!" Kipo said to everyone.

But again, no one said or did anything. "Oh, come on! You can't say you didn't feel that." Kipo asked everyone.

"No, we did. But we also feel… Incredibly scared!" Label said to Kipo. "Two emotions swirling together like a beautiful vortex." Tongue Depressor said to Kipo. "Kipo, we can't forgive Scarlemagne yet." Amy said to Kipo. "Yes, it's clear from what happened most of the day that he's not completely sorry about his actions." Mia said to Kipo, making Kipo, Kalena, and Scarlemagne lower their heads.

"However it's clear that you're working on it, and part of him wants to apologize. So the Ratland Rats will join HUMFA." Mia said to Kipo. "Really?" Kipo asked Mia. "It took a lot of heavy lifting to get Scarlemagne to apologize." Label said to Kipo, before pulling out a bench dumbbell. "I'll spot you any time." Label said to Kipo.

"Yes! Ohh, I wish I had confetti right now." Kipo said, thinking out loud. "We would still have some if you didn't feel the need to use it for every little thing." Kalena said to Kipo. "Welcome to HMUFA!" Kipo said to everyone, as the mutes started to chant HMUFA. This made Scarlemagne smile a little.

After the meeting, Kipo and Kalena had to put Scarlemagne back in his cage. "So… maybe this could be an everyday thing?" Kipo asked Scarlemagne, as Kalena gave him a plat of apples.

"What, the apology?" Scarlemagne asked Kipo. "No, walking around the village. For a little bit. Get to know everyone. If you'd like." Kipo asked Scarlemagne. "Yeah, even if you tried to run away, it was kinda fun to just have a normal-ish day with you." Kalena said to Scarlemagne. "Hmm. I'll consider it." Scarlemagne said to them, as he took a bite from his apple.

"Oh… I know there was a good guy in there." Kipo said to Scarlemagne. "Yes, I know. Deep, deep, down. Very deep. Deep." Scarlemagne said to Kipo, making Kipo giggle a little. "Not so deep anymore." Kipo said to Scarlemagne, as they all smiled.

But that's when they heard tapping on the glass, and noticed Label on the side. "The summer storm from your story. It was you, wasn't it?" Label asked Scarlemagne.

Las Vasta Streets

Under the night sky, the rest of the gang was riding the mega corgi through the streets. Soon the mega corgi stopped right outside the entrance to Deathstalker territory. "I still think you should have let me take the mega husky." Aqua complained to everyone, as they got off the mega corgi.

"Remember, the most important thing is to stay calm, so the deathstalkers can't see your heartbeat." Wolf said to everyone before sighing. Then as everyone walked to the entrance, the mega corgi moved away, whimpering a little.

While they walked around, Margot took in the sights and was impressed. "Wow! You actually lived here? That's impressive. No, it's… It's amazing." Margot said to Wolf. "no. No, you don't get to do that. You don't get to be my friend." Wolf said to Margot, as she stopped and everyone turned to Margot.

"Wolf, you tell her!" Benson said to Wolf. "But maybe we should leave this place before you tell her." Aqua said to Wolf. "Do you know what it was like to find out the people I thought were my family only saw me as food?" Wolf asked Margot, ignoring Aqua's suggestion.

"So messed up. And then what happened?" Dave asked Wolf. "I had to fall asleep every night knowing that nobody in the world was thinking about me. Or even cared that I was afraid." Wolf said to Margot.

"Of course, I cared. You were my sister. But our… my parents… they made me think I didn't have a choice." Margot said to Wolf. "No, you had a choice. But you chose to do nothing, and follow everyone else's lead." Aqua said to Margot.

"Shut up, you don't know anything about me." Margot said to Aqua. "You're right, I don't. But I was also raised by a monster, and unlike I had the will to resist them and make my own path. So tell me, if you did care, why didn;t you do anything?" Aqua asked Margot.

"I was scared." Margot said to Aqua. "You don't abandon your friends when you're scared. That's when you need them the most." Wolf said to Margot. "Wow. That should be a rule of the surface." Dave said to Wolf, getting teary eyes.

"I'm glad you found the pack you deserve." Margot said to Wolf, with a sad look on her face. "So, where is he?" Wolf asked Margot, looking around. But Margot was quiet for a couple seconds.

"I'm… supposed to take you to the parking garage." Margot said to Wolf. "What?" Wolf asked Margot. "Wait? Take us? So that means someone is still holding your leash. Who?" Aqua asked Margot.

"She captured us. She said she'd take away our minds, turn us into animals. But she'd let us go if I brought you to her. She wants to use you all to get to Kipo and Kalena." Margot said to everyone.

"Emilia!" Benson and Aqua said to each other at the same time. "Mandu! Aah, Emilia… makes more sense." Dave said to everyone, after hearing Benson and Aqua mention Emilia.

"You walked us into a trap?" Wolf asked Margot. "Not yet. I'll figure out another way to save my brother, but you can still get out of here." Margot said to Wolf. "You fool, Emilia isn't going to let any of us go, and it doesn't matter where you're taking us, this whole place is her trap." Aqua said to Margot.

"Glad to see you know me so well Aqua." A female voice said from behind them, making them turn to see Emilia walking up some rubble, with Zane and Greta. "Regretfully I do. But I must ask, what do you think you can really do? Even without Kipo and Kalena, we still have Cloak, Star, Groove and Lady, you just have Zane and Greta, you're outnumbered and outgunned." Aqua said to Emilia.

"I wouldn't be so sure about being outgunned." Emilia said to Aqua, as she fired a nectar arrow at Aqua, with Cloak moving to protect Aqua, taking the hit from the nectar arrow and causing a small explosion that took Cloak out.

"I gotta say, you once again help us with the perfect weapon to help take the surface back. If only you weren't such a disappointment." Emilia said to Aqua, as she loaded another nectar arrow, and fired it along a nectar arrow form Zane and Greta.
