Hi there. I know it's been so long since I've updated this fan-fic. Many of you have been waiting for this story to continue. Well, if you have been catching up with my Kuzuri chapters, then you know that this chapter will be the final chapter of The Seed of Change. What this chapter will be is a summarization of how the story ends. I thank you all for your patience, and I know you wanted more. But like I stated before...real life commitments have my hands full. Here we go.
How the Seed of Change ends
Yahiro wanders around Tokyo until finds a truck belonging to the GHQ and hitches a ride without them knowing.
Yahiro overhears them talking about the Overlords and how one of them has captured one of the Kamen Riders for interrogation.
Back in the main building, Shibungi discovers one of the Genesis riders of GHQ is actually Gai.
Gai gets inside the school and persuades Arisa to join his side, which she readily does.
Gai then learns that Shu is still alive, even after what Yahiro did to him. Redyue has her suspicions but keeps them to herself. However, she guarantees Gai she will get the void genome out of him.
Shu wakes up to see himself chained around a field of flowers.
Redyue uses his powers of disguise to fool Shu into thinking he was talking with people from his past before Redyue reveals herself.
Redyue tells Shu that the Void Genome is based on Overlord DNA. And because of that, Shu was no longer human in the strictest sense. Redyue references how Shu was able to extract two voids at the same time, a well as he unwillingness to eat human food anymore.
Back in the school, Daryl takes charge. However, he finds his position to be a fragile one as due to Yahiro's actions, faith in the council is shaky at best.
The wall inches closer to the center of Tokyo, destroying the Diet building in the process.
Yahiro makes the decision to get everyone in the school out of the wall by the end of the week.
Back in the interrogation, Redyue puts Shu in an illusion where he is an Inves, attempting to persuade Shu to the Overlords side. While revealing that the Void Genome is the product of the Overlords they gave to Daath. Redyue tries again to persuade Shu to join the Overlords, but he refuses. He gives a golden glow to break away from the illusion set by Redyue. Redyue flees in response to this but does not forget this experience.
Yahiro finally reaches the place where Shu was taken and breaks into the place as Ryugen. Ryugen shoots down the soldiers until he finally reaches Shu.
He then takes Shu back, along with enough C4 explosives to take down a building, to the school. Both Shu's friends and the school celebrate his resurrection and homecoming. Yahiro gets welcomed back as well, but only after receiving seven kicks to his crotch from Shu himself before receiving a pardon.
Shu announces to the school his plan to use Tokyo tower as a means to create an opening for everyone within the walls to escape the city.
Despite the Inves hindering their efforts, the operation is a success. However, at a critical moment, Shu's arm became clean cut off from his body, disabling his powers in the process. The one responsible was Gai as Zangetsu, but with a genesis driver. Shu tells everybody to get out of the area and his friends to follow his plan to get everyone to safety. It is also revealed that Arisa has defected, rendering Argo's mission moot.
Shu attempts to fight back even in his injured state as a distraction but fails. Inori goes to save him and tries to get him away before Gai could kill him.
Meanwhile, back at the GHQ, Haruka gets Sagara a more comfortable cell. They catch up before agreeing to help him escape. Before he was successful in doing so, he tells Haruka of a certain version of the Void Genome that will allow Shu to match the Overlords in terms of power, but also tells Haruka that the genome he was given has already started his genetic transformation into an Overlord. He escapes with the intention of finding Shu.
Shu wanders the streets of Tokyo with Inori by his side. He doesn't not lose hope, but his injury does not help him with getting away from any GHQ soldiers that happen to find him.
Meanwhile, Arisa's grandfather searches for his granddaughter but accidently locates Shu in the process.
Shu explains to him that she defected to the GHQ because of Gai.
Gai, as Zangetsu Shin, appears in front of them. Alongside a squad of GHQ soldiers and Arisa, now Kamen Rider Marika.
Okina talks to Arisa, talking her out of being on Gai's side. Telling her that she is not the one he fights for.
Gai actually agrees with him. Distraught by this, Arisa asked Gai if the reason why he fights was for a girl was even real.
"Yes...but I never said that girl was you."
Arisa turns against Gai, but he proved himself stronger than her. Strong enough to cancel her rider form. Inori reacts in time, making her stand as Iduun. Shu wanted to stop her, but Sagara arrives in time to get everyone away. Inori fights valiantly, but ultimately dies at the hands of Gai.
At another location, the remnants of Funeral Parlor work alongside what is left of the Kouhouin group (with Kurachi leading said group) to continue the resistance. They receive a message from Argo and Tsugumi about how they managed to destroy a portion of the wall and are currently located at the apartment complex where Shu lived and got the students of Tennozu High temporarily located there. Their plan was to hijack a GHQ cargo freighter and flee to Oshima. Both Ougumo and Kurachi agree to help them in their plan and agree to join all groups together at the docks at a certain time.
Unfortunately, they receive another horrible blow as GHQ soldiers hide within a group of refugees looking for relief. Half of each group lost some of their numbers. One of the notable losses was Ougumo as he was slain to pieces by Segai, now Kamen Rider Sigurd. Kurachi feared for her life in that moment as she sees one his eyes roll near her but gets away.
Shu, along with the Kouhouin family and Sagara, find a safe place to recover. Arisa makes up with her grandfather. While Shu learns more about his father from Sagara, his role in the development of the Apocalypse virus, and how he helped his father develop the Kamen Rider system in case Keido and Daath wanted to finish what they started.
"Your father was a great man, Shu. You have no idea just how much I looked up to him...but Keido and those monsters in Daath. They took everything from him. His work, reputation...even his little girl...Form that day on I promised myself: if I could restore any honor to his legacy, I'd die a happy man..." (Sagara gives Shu back his orange lockseed.)
"This toy is more than just his way to prove how much he loved you. It's also a promise.. he didn't have enough time to complete. It's also what he could give you...to survive and overcome what he couldn't stop."
Sagara also gives Shu all his personal data containing his work in teleportation technology.
Sagara: "I know I'm giving you a lot..."
Shu: "It's okay." (Sagara looks a little confused.) "For me, this is proof that my dad still thought about me. He loved me enough to give me something that could finally give something I was lacking. Purpose. Strength. A way to...fight back against all the bad things around me, but I couldn't back then. Yeah, there were times that I doubted myself in a big way...but what you told me...now I know how to move forward. And...I'm grateful to you...Mr. Sagara."
Sagara was brought to tears by this. Shu hugs him in return.
The next day, Shu finds Sagara missing. Okina explains that he is engaging with a one-man assault against GHQ main headquarters. Shu wants to join him despite his current condition. Okina attempts to talk him out of it, telling him that both his people, Funeral Parlor and his friends are attempting to commandeer a GHQ freighter to escape and recover at Oshima. His plan. Shu relents, joining with Okina and Arisa to rejoin his friends. At the day of the operation, the combined fighting forces find out that Inves were waiting for them. The Kamen Riders managed to kill most of the Inves, but then a GHQ battleship arrives to deliver the finishing blow to the remaining resistance forces. Only when the appearance of a certain Inves arrived did activity from said battleship slowly diminish. Kanon recognized what the Inves was.
The cargo freighter is now in the hands of Funeral Parlor. Shu, Tsugumi, Argo and Ayase were give the news of Ougumo's death, which devastated them. While Shu tells his friends about Inori's capture by Gai. Souta hold out hope that she is still alive, a hope that Shu shares as well. During their mourning for Ougumo, Kanon told Shu about a certain Inves that was born after Hare's death. She saw it going after the GHQ soldiers on the battleship earlier. Shu shares the hopes that Hare could be within the Inves somewhere, but informs her that there's no way to turn an Inves back to a human. Kanon was sad when she heard that and cries in Yahiro's arms over losing her best friend.
Kurachi then informs Shu and the remaining forces of Funeral Parlor that Sagara has requested help. Three automatic helicopters arrives on the freighter to transport anyone who will answer. The Kamen Riders (Arisa included) volunteer, and some of the Kouhouin group assist them in answering the call. Shu hops on board as well.
Before Sagara received the call, he led a legion of Suika armor drones towards GHQ main headquarters. The drones battle with the Endlaves stationed there. As the mechs battle outside, Sagara becomes Kamen Rider Kurokage Shin and fights against Duke and Sigurd. Although he was outmatched at first, the Suika drones crash into the building and acts as distractions against the two GHQ genesis riders. Sagara reunites with Haruka as she managed to retrieve the Void Genome. She also told him that before his attack, Keido retrieved Inori's body and intended to transfer Mana's soul into her. Sagara gets both her and Shibungi (who managed to get the apple lockseed) out of the building, just in time for the helicopters to arrive.
The Kamen Riders on board manage to hold their own against Keido and Segai. Unfortunately, the arrival of one of the Overlords, Demushu, wipes the floors with them. Sagara stays behind to allow everyone else to escape. Shu pleads with him, but Haruka tells him that he has to do what he must. Shu looks on as his father-figure dies at the hands of Keido. He cries in the arms of his mother.
They return to the cargo freighter. However, due to the battleship earlier, they have to fix the damages before they can set course to Oshima. Kurachi, on Okina's behalf, gets the message out to any survivors to head to Oshima for refuge. During the repairs, more people appear at the docks where the freighter was located. Many of the students were reunited with their families, while others were dismayed to hear theirs did not make it. But most notable among the refugees were members of the Japanese government. While the news of the death of the Prime Minister was a depressing fact to absorb, 8 of the 17 cabinet ministers managed to survive the events of the wall.
Haruka tells Shu and his friends of Inori's death and who she used to be. This devastates them. Souta, much more so. Haruka also gives Shu the apple lockseed, to which he gives to Daryl.
Shu talks with Souta privately, assuaging his broken heart. They share their memories of Inori. Even joke about the fact that a lot of members of Funeral Parlor wanted him and Inori to hook up, despite the fact that she was a clone of Mana.
Shu: "Oh my god. There were people that were shipping me with my sister!"
Souta: "Jesus, who does that?"
Shu: "Sick people, that's who!"
Ayase, Argo, and Tsugumi overhear this conversation and deny they wanted such an outcome. Shu was playfully dismissive of their denial.
Shibungi was informed of Ougumo's death and stood devastated but retains his composure as he agrees with the plan to take refuge in Oshima to recover. The adults also discuss how to go forward with resisting the GHQ. Haruka shows the void genome she managed to escape with. Okina proposes to inject Shu with it. Haruka rejects it outright.
Okina: "I understand why. However, we cannot deny what your son is."
Haruka: "Please don't ask me to treat my son as a freak."
Okina: "The opposite. Shu Ouma...is our last hope against this relentless evil. Right now, Japan is the line between the rest of the world...and its end. If he must become what his father needed him to be, then it has to be done."
Shibungi: "Unfortunately, I have to agree with Mr. Kouhouin. If what Sagara said is correct, your son is the key to our survival. The way to end this war."
Haruka looks distraught as she's forced to consider whether or not to force her son to save humanity by sacrificing his own. At that moment, an Inves attack led by both Segai (as Sigurd) and Demushu attack where they rested before taking off. Okina's people get the civilians while Funeral Parlor and the Kamen Riders fight against the Inves. Baron kills Sigurd with the Ringo Arms. However, he is angry when he sees Demushu defeating his comrades with little problem.
Haruka gets to Shu, and gives him the void genome, but tells him that by taking it his transformation into an Overlord will be complete. She cries as she tells him this.
Shu: "Haruka..."
Haruka: "I'm so sorry, Shu...I never wanted this for you. Your father didn't want this for you." (Haruka cries further) "I'm so sorry I failed you." (Shu hugs Haruka)
Shu: (Hugs Haruka) "I know you love me...that's all that matters. And know...I'm grateful for everything you did for me when I lost dad." (Kisses Haruka on the check and grabs the genome and runs towards the battle)
Haruka: "Kurosu...you'd be so proud of him...he's all grown up..."
Baron holds his ground against Demushu for a while longer, but ultimately loses against him as his transformation is cancelled. He laughs at the defeated Kamen Riders. As Demushu approaches the defeated riders to kill them, the Inves that attack the battleship earlier returns to fight Demushu. However, he was too powerful for the Inces to defeat. Yahiro recognizes the Inves as the one that manifested after Hare's death.
Yahiro: "Maybe Kanon was right...maybe some part of Hare lives on..."
Demushu approaches the Inves, but Yahiro stand between him and the Inves.
Yahiro: "Hare...if you're in there... I know I have no right to ask for your forgiveness...but know I still see you as my friend..."
Demushu laughs at this act of selflessness. However, Shu arrives to tell him,
Shu: "Underestimating humanity will be your last mistake on this earth."
Shu injects the void genome into his body, completing his transformation as an Overlord. What manifests out of him is not just his Sengoku Driver, but a lockseed to access his final form, Kiwami Arms. By joining the Kiwami lockseed with the Kachidoki lockseed, his final form proves itself powerful enough to completely eradicate Demushu. The flames of Demushu's destruction surround Shu as his friends and those who witnessed the battle look on in amazement and a little sorrow.
Shu: "I fight so my friends can have a future...for I am...A Kamen Rider..."
After two days, the freighter finally makes it to Oshima. Kurachi and Arisa decide to fight against Keido and the remainer of the GHQ while Okina stays behind to coordinate with the remainder of the Japanese government contacting the United Nations for assistance in a coordinated offensive against the GHQ. He asks for Shu Ouma in his Kamen Rider Armor to give the UN confidence that the remaining forces of the JSDF will hold their end of the attack with assurance that the UN will hold up theirs.
Shu receives a checkup from his mother to confirm the effects of the Void Genome that finally made him an Overlord. He remains in his armor, although he can dissipate part of his armor of his own will, which made the checkup possible. Although she still feels guilty for her part in the development of the virus that caused her son to become the very monsters that will end humanity, Shu's willingness to forgive her for her part confirms his still remains within him.
Shibungi then informs him of Okina's request. Shu asks if Okina can wait as he wanted to check up on the Inves Yahiro rescued earlier.
The Inves that Yahiro rescued was placed in an isolated room, away from the survivors. Shu feels his abilities as an Overlord coming to him naturally. He does what many thought impossible. Shu uses his abilities to turn the Inves back into Hare. Although she was groggy, Hare recognized Shu even in his armor. Even though he was behind his armor, Shu cries with joy seeing his girlfriend back. News spread that Hare came back, which made Kanon and Souta happy to no end.
Shibungi recorded the whole thing and shows it to Okina.
More refugees arrived, many of them affected with the Apocalypse virus. Some of them so close to the sixth stage. Shu used his Overlord abilities to remove the Apocalypse virus from them. The previously-infected now see Gaim as a god, but Shu does not accept it.
Still in his armor, Shu speaks with the UN first describing the situation and how any military assistance will be appreciated.
As they wait for the decision, Haruka, alongside Tsugumi, reviews the data Sagara gave to Shu earlier. Not only did it contain his teleportation technology, but also the formula to create the Sengoku genome. Thanks to the facilities of the abandoned GHQ base in Oshima, Haruka successfully replicates the genome. With Shu's assistance in creating mass copies of the pinecone lockseed, Kurokage soldiers that number 500 are ready for the offensive.
Argo receives the Durian lockseed from Daryl and a Sengoku Genome to become the new Bravo. He also receives both the Matsubokkuri Energy Lockseed and the Genesis core that will allow him to use it.
Back in Tokyo, Keido received the news that the surviving Japanese government has contacted the UN to aiding them remove the GHQ. He finally abandons all pretense by allowing Yuu to convert every human still in Tokyo to Inves. Only Gai was spared as he was close to Mana when it happened
Gai: "So father...you possess no more hope for humanity...no matter. I will see you again, Mana."
The night before, Hare meets with Shu in private to talk to him. Shu reveals what he looks like now. His face, although maintaining its facial appearance, now looks like it was now made of withered cloth. She holds back her tears as to not to make him cry in response.
Shu: "Don't hold back for me. I didn't for you..."
Hare cries while still hugging him. Shu asked if she remembered her time as an Inves.
Hare: "Somewhat. I remember being drawn to you, but I knew that I couldn't get close to you...because of Inori."
Shu: "Inori?"
Hare: "I felt some...great darkness within her. It drove me away from you."
Shu: "Was Inori that terrifying to you when you were an Inves?"
Hare: "Actually, a part of me as an Inves wanted to obey her. But I avoided her not for my safety...but somebody else's."
Hare placed one hand on her stomach. Shu pieced together why Hare, as an Inves, did not act on instinct. Hare sees it and tells him what Haruka told her.
"I was two months before I became as an Inves. Your mom thought that was why I was able to retain some of my consciousness. When you restored me, you also restored..."
Hare gently guides one of Shu's hands and placed it in her stomach. Shu started to cry as he is relieved who else he managed to bring back...but became dismayed at the same time.
Shu: "Am I doomed to be like my father? Wanting the best for my kids...but never being there for them when they need me?"
The next morning, the combination of the Kamen Riders and Funeral Parlor sail towards Tokyo. During the ride, Shu recreated the dandiliner and multiplied it for both his comrades and the Kurokage soldiers. As soon as the freighter entered Tokyo waters, Keido placed automatic missile launchers at the docks. The missile launchers fired on the freighter, causing it to sink. However, the Kurokage army flew towards Tokyo via the dandiliners. Many flight-capable Inves flew towards the Kurokage army.
The Kamen Riders, meanwhile, fly low and infiltrate to the GHQ main building on foot. Several waves of Inves stand in their way. The first wave are fought by Knuckle, Gridon, and Marika. The second wave, Bravo in Jimba Matsubokkuri and Ryugen. The third wave, fought by Kurokage (Ayase) and Baron. When Shu finally made it to the upper floors, he encounters Duke and Blood Gaim. Although they were difficult at first, Gaim managed to defeat them.
However, before Gaim could advance, Rosyuo appears to stop Gaim. Gaim attempts to attack him, but Rosyuo proved himself stronger as he canceled Gaim's armored form. Rosyuo retrieved the golden fruit that used to reside within Shu, but Redyue fatally stabs Rosyuo in the back. This surprises both Keido and Yuu.
Yuu: "What is the meaning of this, Redyue?! How dare you betray our king!" (Redyue starts laughing like a madman)
Redyue: "Taking what is finally mine! At last, the golden fruit is mine! NOW I AM A GOD!" (Redyue laughs some more, much to the horror of Yuu. Keido, only pensive confusion.)
Redyue: "Not to worry, young prince. The plan will continue...but this world will be made in my image!"
Now the golden fruit that previously shone in his hands now becomes spoiled. Shocked and angered by this, Redyue grabs Rosyuo by his neck.
Redyue: "What is the meaning of this?! WHERE IS THE GOLDEN FRUIT?!"
Rosyuo: "It was already gone by the time we manifested."
Redyue: "But then...how are we-?"
Rosyuo: "Mana."
Redyue: "What?!"
Rosyuo: "We...never looked like this. Our time in space...has made you forget what you originally looked like. Even I cannot recall the original name of our species..."
Redyue backs away in disbelief.
Redyue: "This...cannot be...but I know my name."
Rosyuo: "These forms...are from the imagination...of a little girl...who enjoyed watching tokusatsu...with her little brother..."
Shu remembered watching the original Kamen Rider Gaim TV show with her sister and Triton. He often wondered why these monsters from the TV show are alive in front of him.
Rosyuo: "We exist...as an extended fantasy...of a little girl...who misses her family..."
Redyue slowly went into a rage state while Keido slithers away to Mana. As does Yuu She ferally stabs Rosyuo while he was still injured.
Redyue: "DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU! DAMN YOU! I AM NOT SOME PATHETIC LITTLE GIRL'S DREAM! I AM REAL! I AM REDYUE, THE ONE TRUE GOD OF THIS WORLD!"
At that moment, Shu stands up and uses his Overlord abilities to make Redyue stop stabbing Rosyuo.
Redyue: "It cannot be...HOW DO YOU STILL HAVE THE POWER OF AN OVERLORD?!"
Shu: "Because...it never left me."
Shu manifested his Sengoku Driver, Kachidoki and Kiwami lockseeds all at the same time.
Shu: "Your time on this earth is over."
After a long fight, Gaim kills Redyue in a spectacular fashion. Yuu only looked on in disbelief as Shu established himself as a new god. Gaim then walked towards Rosyuo.
Rosyuo: "You are right. Our time...was over long before we came to your world...Go to her..."
Shu notices that neither Keido nor Yuu were present during the fight, but advances toward Mana, nonetheless.
Outside, the Kurokage soldiers and the Kamen Riders, as well as UN navy arriving to aid them, are overwhelmed by the Inves as they outnumber their human opponents 40 to one.
Keido reaches Mana and attempts to jumpstart the Apocalypse. However, Zangetsu Shin appeared in time to stab Keido in the heart.
Gaim reached to where Mana is in time to see Zangetsu Shin killing Keido. Seeing Gaim confused by this, Zangetsu explains.
Gai: "I did everything I did for her."
Shu: "Even selling out for your friends?"
Gai: "Yes. Please listen to me. Daath has been aware of the meteor that carried the virus for years. Because a smaller piece of the meteor landed hundreds of years before either of us were born."
Shu: "But then...how do they know about that the virus does?"
Gai: "The piece of the meteor took on another form. A human form. You've seen it before..."
Shu: "Yuu..."
Gai: "Yuu is the grave-digger of Daath. However, he has betrayed the members when made all of the survivors of Tokyo into Inves. He is the last member still standing."
Shu: "He intends to end humanity?"
Gai: "That's right. And Mana is the key."
At the end of the conversation, Mana awakens. Shu deactivates his armor just as she recognizes him and runs towards him.
Mana: "Shu!"
Shu: "Hello...big sister."
Mana: "I'm so happy to see you again. Now we can start what we were meant to be."
Shu pushes Mana a little bit to make space between them.
Shu: "Mana. Listen to me. The virus has corrupted you into thinking that killing everyone is the path to peace. You weren't like this. You used to love me the right way. The way a big sister is supposed to love her little brother."
Mana wanted to cry, but Shu accesses his Overlord abilities.
"That's enough, Mana!"
Shu's voice reverberated. Gai sees the effect Shu's abilities has on Mana.
"Keep it up, Shu! It's working."
Shu approaches Mana, which scares her.
Mana: "No. Stay away!"
Shu: "Mana, listen to me. Let me help you. I know the sister I loved is still there. Come back Mana!"
Shu's voice caused Mana to reckon with her actions, which made her mind go in a frenzy. Eventually she reverted to a child-like state, crying in the process.
Gai: "He did it..."
Shu hugged Mana. Mana cried a little while longer until she sees Shu's face and instantly felt worried for him.
Mana: "Shu...you don't look too good..."
Shu: "It's the virus, sis. It almost got me the same way it got you."
Mana: "But then, how come you weren't like me?"
Shu brought out his lockseed, which Mana instantly recognized.
Mana: "Hey, that's Kouta's lockseed."
Shu: "Dad found the lockseed toys and combined them with his research. Mana...there are bad people who wanted to use the virus you were sick with to destroy the world."
Mana: "Really?"
Gai: "He's right, Mana." (Mana sees Gai and immediately recognizes who he is.)
Mana: "Triton?"
Gai: "That's right. It's me. And Shu telling you the truth that there were bad people who wanted the virus in you to erase humanity form the earth. Your dad made the lockseeds that helped us fight back against them. As Kamen Riders."
Mana: (looks excited until she remembers the show) "But...didn't Kouta become an Overlord to stop the Inves from killing the humans?"
Shu: (looking conflicted but tells the truth) "That's right. I had to become an Overlord in order to help you, Mana."
Yuu: "But think of the power you've gained, Shu Ouma."
Yuu arrives with a variation of the Kachidoki lockseed in his hands. It is blood red instead of orange.
Yuu: "You've gained the power of a god, and you decide to play superhero for your older sister? How disappointing you are. But then again...story of your life."
Yuu transforms into Blood Gaim, but with Blood Kachidoki Arms. Shu places both Gai and Mana in a protective barrier to protect them from the battle. Yuu is cunning and quick, but Shu's decisiveness and strength won him the battle. Yuu is disintegrated by the DJ Gun.
The building around them starts to collapse, but Shu embraces his existence as an Overlord and uses his powers to reform the building. As both the building and the Inves stopped being hostile to both the Kamen Riders and the Kurokage soldiers, a large platform appeared over the ruins of the GHQ main building. Shu now possesses white hair and a suit of silver leather armor.
A hologram of Sagara appears next to the three.
Sagara: "You finally did it. You saved the world. But the world won't tolerate a god among them. At least a real one. Not to mention the Inves are still alive."
Shu: "Than maybe it requires imagination on my part to create a path most people wouldn't think of."
Shu creates a tear in space to display a dead planet and uses his god powers in two ways. One: creating a magnetic field for an atmosphere to exist. Two: transferring all Inves on earth to the new planet.
Gai: "Excellent. The Inves will live their own lives without harming humanity." (He looks sad) "Guess this is where we say goodbye."
Shu: "Yes it is."
Shu approaches both Mana and Gai and hold their hands. Both experience power surging into their bodies before discovering Shu split his god powers into each of them.
Gai: (visibly confused) "Shu, what are you-?"
Shu: "I think being a god is the perfect job for you. Of course I know you can't do it alone. That's why Mana should go with you."
Gai: (still confused by this) "But...this power was made for you, Shu. It's something your father wanted."
Shu: "Yeah, but I think I got all I wanted out of it. Right now, I put a lot of work into this life. I kinda want to see it through to the end. Plus, I'm gonna be a dad soon..."
Gai and Mana: "YOU'RE GONNA BE A DAD?!"
Shu: (acting as if he was standing in front of a large fan) "Yeah see? That's the kind of reaction I gotta go through to be there for my girlfriend and my kid."
Both Gai and Mana laugh at the fact that Shu will act the way he will act, despite everything they went through.
Shu: "Besides...you two go well together. Right now, there's a world out there that needs its gods to look out for them. So go for it. Be happy and tell your subjects to...be fruitful and multiply."
Gai and Mana smile at the second chance of life Shu gave them. Both of them hug before Gai speaks with Shu one last time.
Gai: "You sure I can do this?"
Shu: "Well, at the very least, remember this before you go. The future is always in the dark. That's why we got to be the ones to light it up."
Both Gai and Mana fly into the tear and towards the Inves planet. Everyone that saw the whole thing were filled hope and joy as GHQ, Daath, and the Inves were finally gone from this earth.
Three years pass. Ayase is serving in the JSDF.

Arisa takes over for her grandfather as head of the Kouhouin group, with Kurachi as her right hand.
