~During the first part~

-Zoro-

"And you will be waiting here!"

"Yes, yes, I got it. You don't have..."

"Sit down and wait!"

Zoro rolled his eyes. The Shichibukai was even more exhausting than usual during the last few days. Zoro had gotten lost once, once, and Mihawk pretended like he had to put him on a leash like a badly behaving dog.

Annoyed, he dropped onto the bench in the waiting area.

"And stay here until I come back."

"I got it," he only grumbled and crossed his arms. The other might be as annoyed as ever, but it wasn't as if Zoro was in a better mood. He could use the time better by training, but no, Kanan had something that needed to be taken to the village very urgently and since the Shichibukai had to have some conversation with someone important anyway, Zoro was sitting here now.

They had already brought the small package away, but who knew how long Mihawk would take. Unnerved, Zoro sighed and watched bored as the people around him shuffled through the corridors. Zoro didn't really know how administrative departments worked, but it didn't seem to be a happy place, the way most of them looked, clinging to their coffee cups. If Zoro wasn't entirely mistaken, this Cho Jiroushin also worked here, but between all the long faces he had to look as out of place as the Cook in a women's bath.

Zoro, on the other hand, had the feeling that his mood would fit in well here. Not only did he lack the time to train and the Shichibukai dragged him around as if he were a toddler who couldn't be left unattended. No, Kanan had forced a dress on him again – he couldn't get upset about all the ruffles anymore, the tights were the much bigger problem – and had done something with his annoying hair, so that it was in the way the whole time, as if it had multiplied.

Yes, it wasn't a good day, but at least it couldn't get much worse. Once the Shichibukai had done whatever he had to do, hopefully they would quickly get back into the training room so that he could finally get stronger.

"Damn," he growled as he tried to lean forward and immediately noticed two new problems. For one thing, this dress wasn't particularly movement-friendly, and he felt like his back would tear it at any moment if he leaned forward any more to rest on his thighs. The other thing was all the jumble of hair had fallen into his face, so that he couldn't see anything anymore.

Frustrated he tried to tame the hair but realized that it didn't work. Screaming inwardly, he squeezed the hair flat at the back of his head with both hands and then tried to pull it over one shoulder. What the hell had Kanan done? He could hardly grasp it with both hands. This was beyond annoying

How did that shit work again? That braiding? He had seen Kanan do it. She had already shown him several times, but it wasn't as he had been paying attention. He had to divide the hair into three strands – which didn't work at all – one he held with his left hand, the other with his right. Put the left strand over the one lying on the shoulder, hold it with the thumb and index finger of the right hand and then... what was he supposed to with the right strand? Why was braiding hair so difficult?

"Oh wow?" Surprised, Zoro looked up when some rando stood in front of him in the hallway and winked at him with a strange smile. Who was this guy? "Looks pretty impressive, young lady," the stranger said and nodded to the ball of hair and fingers that Zoro failed to tame.

Confused, he stared at the guy, what did he want from him?

"Makes one wonder what else you can do with your fingers."

Huh?

And very slowly it dawned on Zoro. He knew such sentences, even if they had never been addressed at him, but he had sat next to Nami often enough and understood often enough from her reactions that these guys had just made a huge mistake.

While he was still thinking about this, the door in front of him opened and Mihawk stepped out.

"Ro... Loreen, I finished my business, we can go."

The stranger looked up very surprised when suddenly a Shichibukai stood in front of him, but Mihawk ignored him like he did with most people.

Relieved, Zoro stood up and freed his hands from the clutter on his head. "Finally," he grumbled, while Mihawk was already turning to leave. But Zoro still had a score to settle.

"Do you know what else these fingers can do?" he said and smiled at this guy, who now looked at him with a mixture of amusement and uncertainty. "Strangle you."

Now he understood Nami's reaction, there was something about that slightly frightened look, especially because Zoro hadn't seen it for too long. It's good to know that he managed to get this reaction even in this form.

"Do I want to know why you are threatening government employees in the hallway?" Mihawk asked in a low voice as they left the building behind.

"No, not really," Zoro replied simply. "Why were we there at all? It went faster than expected."

"Nothing important, Mr. Koumyou has only invited us to dinner for tomorrow."

"Us?"

"Do I really need to break down that this includes you and me?"

Zoro rolled his eyes.

"That means losing a lot of time from training, again. Do I have to go?"

"You know the answer. But as far as I am concerned, we can add another session after our return. As long as you are not too exhausted from this morning." Then Mihawk sighed. "And then tomorrow I will be expected to explain to the mayor why Lady Loreen intended to strangle an employee."

"He started it," Zoro justified himself.

"He threatened you?"

"He asked for it."

Mihawk looked down at Zoro disapprovingly, but he didn't really care. He wanted to become stronger so that he could not just make empty threats.
