A/N: Why the hell is it that I'm so motivated to write despite being sleep deprived to the point my eyes ache? Whatever gets these out ig-

Also, go check out TransAceWithAPan. His 'Tipping Point' series is what sparked up my motivation and parts of this story are inspired from their books, definitely worth a read! (Side story collection too :D)

"Everything is official!" The feminine voice rang through his head like a set of hasty bells. He loved the enthusiasm she could bring around the apartment, but sometimes her voice scratched his head wrong.

"Uh, thanks, miss.." A Polish accent then rose, contrasting the British presented prior.

"Rosalie, Rosalie Parks. Your room is floor 6, which is where my friend Edd will be escorting you," She gestured over to where he stood, having just been downstairs for a cola run since his stash was low. He turned to look at the trio in the lobby properly, staring for a moment before clearing his throat.

"Right, that was a thing, uh.. long time no see Paul!" He finished by the vending machine before walking up to the two, offering his hand for the Dutch. It was rather ironic they both wore a similar outfit, although while Paul had jeans on to follow with his black and pink colored hoodie, Edd had green pajama pants on with his slippers, complimenting his ever so effortless way to be able to make himself look at home no matter what he wore, in this case a black and green hoodie with a plain choker. He never intended to leave the building anyways, so he figured no one would care if he shuffled about with them on.

"Yeah, haven't seen you since my high school graduation I think? You certainly grew," He remarked, gesturing to the fact Edd was literally an inch shorter than him. He chuckled at that.

"Yeah, I've been told that often. So, this is Patryck right? Tom told me about how both of you were going to be officially moving in, and I presume he told you I had offered to escort you guys..? Well, I planned on it in less… home-comfy clothing, but I guess I lost track of time," Both of them smirked at that.

"Yes, when Paul figured out you were here I think I lost some sleep being forced to listen to your elementary school tales," He chuckled, getting an embarrassed huff out of Paul.

"I'm still kind of upset that we never got to see each other in classes again.. but, alas, the sad truth of you being 3 years older, and therefore a fossil of knowledge," Edd teased, hoping his attempt was successful. He remembered how he and Paul used to tease and mock each other playfully all the time. Luckily for him it seemed he caught on.

"Ahh, jij wenst, however I was not the one to fall off a set of monkey bars trying to impress said 'fossil of knowledge'," He retorted, getting a confused look from Pat while Edd chuckled.

"Man I missed you, I still regret forgetting to give you my number after changing it, glad we can talk again!" He offered a genuine smile as he spoke.

"Same here," Paul replied, returning the smile. Edd then switched the cola in his hands since his left hand was getting pretty chilled from the drink.

"Let me show you where your rooms are, can I see the key numbers..?" He leaned over to look at the keys in Pat's fist. He opened his hand before raising it to give Edd a better view, and so he didn't have to lean nearly as far. A smile appeared on his face as he looked at the numbers etched into the metal.

"Hey! You guys are situated in the same hall I am! That makes this a hell of a lot easier!" He grinned. Paul and Patryck exchanged surprised looks before Paul smiled.

"Seems we're destined to catch up, eh?" He chuckled.

"I'll say, but let's stop occupying the lobby and get you guys situated, shall we?" He mused, waving to Rosalie before directing them to the elevator.

"Those are the stairs, but it's best to use them only in emergencies or if the elevator is down. Highly recommending the elevator, especially if you're moving stuff up 6 floors. Stairs? Bad." He stated, getting a chuckle out of both men behind him as they entered the elevator.

"W porządku, dually noted," Pat replied.

He spent the next 3 days helping Patryck and Paul set up in their flats while they organized stuff with the motel they had been staying at. In this time, he'd invited them both over for dinner and some movies, properly introducing them to Tom and Matt while catching up with Paul. It seemed like everyone was getting along just fine, which made him glad. Even Ringo was a major suck up to Paul and Pat, demanding scratches from them any chance she could get. She seemed to sniff them a lot, which was strange for her unless her treats or people she knew were involved, but he didn't think much of it throughout the course of the days he was helping them move in.

"Is that the last of your stuff?" He inquired, setting down a small box of pictures on the coffee table, putting his hands on the back of his waist as he looked at Pat, who was organizing one of the bookshelves.

"Uhh, for us yeah, we're just waiting on our third roommate to get his stuff in," He replied, still focusing on the books. Edd raised a confused brow at him.

"You guys have another roommate? Coulda fooled me, never mentioned him," Pat seemed to flinch at this, before looking back over with a chuckle, though it seemed forced.

"We never really thought it was important, he doesn't get out much anyways so it gives him something to do for once," He shrugged, seemingly eager to drop the topic. Edd found that strange, but ignored the nagging in the back of his mind to pry and instead leave Patryck to finish what he was doing, instead checking with Paul. He was currently on his phone in the kitchen, frantically typing away with an exasperated look on his face. It just so happened that when Edd walked in, Paul let out a long sigh, letting loose the intoxicated smoke he'd been mildly holding after taking a long puff from his cigarette. This prompted a coughing fit as soon as the scent hit Edd's nose, startling Paul from his typing frenzy.

"Oh, shit- sorry Edd! I didn't see you walk in," Paul hastily apologized, grabbing the ashtray next to him and putting out the cigarette. Edd shook his head before waving away the excess smoke.

"It's ok, I didn't announce myself walking in," He rasped, grateful Paul put it out. He was utterly awful when it came to anything drug related besides pain medication. He couldn't handle the smell of burning tobacco and whatever else they put in those god forsaken paper rolls of lung cancer.

"Do you need anything else done? Or is everything good for you and Pat? Presuming this third roommate of yours won't need help," Paul was about to speak before he mentioned the third roommate, giving Edd a perplexed stare before shaking his head.

"Nope, uh, we'll be good," Paul's tone shifted, sounding almost stiff. Edd was now really confused.

Both of them only started acting weird when I mentioned their third roommate… was I not meant to know in the first place..? Something is weird… Edd thought, keeping it in his mind as he decided to head out, leaving the two to finish their touch ups as he went to his flat. He couldn't shake the feeling of something being off with this mysterious third roommate.

As he sat down on his couch he opted to pull his phone out, letting Ringo climb onto his lap as he started texting.

Edd: Hey, I have a question?

Chekerz: What?

Edd: Did Paul or Pat ever mention a third roommate to you?

Chekerz: Not directly. They mentioned letting a 'him' look for a place for them to stay, but I never questioned it since, well, that's a really fucking weird thing to do with people you just met.

Chekerz: Why?

Edd: I think Pat accidently brought up his third roommate without meaning to, and when I poked at the subject both Pat and Paul seemed to be trying to avoid or limit conversation about it. Thought it was weird.

Chekerz: Worst case scenario is they just don't get along. I say don't look too into it, probably isn't our place anyways.

Edd: When did you become so sincere and caring?

Chekerz: Fuck off.

Edd: Nahh :GreenHeart: Make sure you get some sleep tonight.

Chekerz: No promises.

Edd had a gentle smile as he set his phone down. Maybe Tom was right, he was worrying too much.

A loud crash startled him out of his bed, tumbling onto the floor with a loud thump. He flailed out of his sheets before pushing himself up, wide eyed as he whipped his head around. He didn't even have time to process he was awake before the wave of exhaustion crashed over him, clashing with the adrenaline and shock he'd just experienced. Rubbing his eye, he checked the clock on his night stand. 3:26am. He groaned as he stood up, throwing his sheets back onto his bed before looking at his door.

Who the fuck is up at this hour throwing stuff around?? He opened his door with a long yawn, checking around his flat. He didn't notice anything unusual so it definitely hadn't been Ringo. In fact… he couldn't even find her. This made him wake up a bit.

"Ringo?" He called, voice raspy and strained from exhaustion. He wasn't met with a response. This caused him to groan.

Must've left the cat flap unlocked, he thought to himself as he went to the door of his flat, opening it to check. At first he didn't see anything, but before he could call out for Ringo he heard muttering.

"Hva i navnet til- Ringo..?" Edd could make out the voice, but it sent a chill down his spine. He knew that voice. He knew that voice all too well, no matter how exhausted, broken or raspy it was. He turned to look to his left, and his eyes laid upon the one thing on earth he never thought he'd see again in his life. Ringo, who was currently rubbing her face against Edd's dread, quickly noticed him, meowing as she bound over to him, immediately purring as she rubbed against his leg. That wasn't his concern though, especially not when he was met with the very same pair of mismatched eyes that almost ruined his entire life.
