Dragon Ball: Space Adventures

Prologue

A million miles away

Uub slowly opened his eyes and his whole body ached as if he had been plowing the field all day. It was strange, after all, he was in Mr. Briefs house. Even those white lights that looked like the Taiyoken more than something city people use were still on—but that wasn't the problem, the problem was that he had left the lights on. It was night outside, it seemed like there was no moon, and everything was petrifyingly dark, if he walked a few meters into the darkness he could easily be swallowed by the black layer of the oblivion, never to be seen again. His only hope were those small flashes in the distance, fragile blue points that seemed to give life to what Uub felt like the final color of life. That dark end of death, where you close your eyes for the last time and nothingness itself becomes reality; A dark night. But, there was a problem, they were moving too fast, it was like they were coming towards him. Suddenly, everything fell on his face like a wave. The past was released, and became the present. That in front of him was not the sky, it was space, and he was not at home, but in a spaceship. He did not feel any calmer discovering that, but it did help him to get back on the right path, the next question was a little more complicated; Why the hell was he chained?
The truth was that he did not have the slightest idea. The last thing he remembered was arriving at Mr. Briefs' house—And as far as he remembered, he himself had accepted the invitation for the trip, so there would be no reason to chain him. His hands were being held by metal handcuffs that at the top of them had two green lines going from side to side. On the contrary, down. A large black chain with a strange smell kept him glued to his chair, spinning in it.
The first thing he tried was to break free with brute force. He jerked his arms out and tried to shake his body in all directions, but nothing happened. Then, he focused his mind and pulled, trying to make his KI explode, if he couldn't break them, he would at least destroy them. He went slow at first, being cautious and trying to find the middle ground of his destruction. Then, he went all out, like he had to destroy a mountain or when you have a rather large brick stuck in the bathroom. He frowned, brought his hands together, and his teeth squealed as they collided with each other. He pulled and pushed, and struggled so much that he started to sweat—but nothing happened. He stayed a couple of seconds breathing in the chair, exhausted by the effort. Quickly, Uub's mind came to a horrible conclusion; Well, this is not good. Lacking ideas on how to proceed, he just looked around. The ship, his new home, was quite comfortable as far as he could see. The walls rose up like a castle and leaned down to form a circular door-like shape above, the strange yellow color giving it a city hospital look that Uub didn't really know how to feel about, he was never a fan of hospitals. In his mind, if you have to go, it's because there's trouble. And in front of him he could see a couple of problems. The first thing he saw was the strange screens. These showed various things. The one in the middle, showed a line forward and thousands of little dots around it. The one below showed what Uub recognized as the ship due to its strange octopus' shape. On the sides, there were a series of circles that looked like clocks and showed numbers. Underneath everything, there was a console, it looked like one of those desktop computers. And there were also the three chairs, his, was the one on the right.
It was there, looking at the mirror, that he saw it. First it was an orange bandana. It had black eyes, and a big smile—as if it enjoyed seeing him there. Uub immediately worried staring at those eyes, they were filled with evil, and his skin color was the same as his master's—that strange tan and on the life of his brothers he swore he'd seen the person before.
—How good did you say it was?.— The captor asked admiring from the hallway, accompanied by a tone of distrust that had a healthy expectation of a fight. It almost seemed like that's what the boy wanted. And like magic, the other one appeared. With blue hair and strange red clothes that looked like bright stars in the night sky. Uub didn't say anything, because for the most part he had no idea who they were.
—I've made it, it'll work.— The blue-haired one said with girly tone and an air of confidence bigger than her height. Her partner in crime was easily half a head taller and Uub assumed he was a whole head taller with ease. They were just kids,
—He's been training with Goku for the past seven years, have you thought about that?
The one in black asked with a mocking tone and practically eager for a fight. But the one in red did not dignify it.
—Not even my great father could free himself from this device.
—Of course! and cows fly.
—Laugh all you want, this device is flawless by design.
The one in black seemed interested in arguing, but that was when I interceded. Because I realized that I had a big problem inside.
—Ahem.
I said with an assertive tone. In an inhuman way, their heads turned in unison and looked at me with wide open and expectant eyes. One blue and other black, just like their hairs. It was strange, I felt as if two tigers were stalking me. It did not seem normal. The one with the bandana raised the right leg, and turned my chair until I was deposited in front of the two. I noticed there that both had a pair of tails. The one in blue had a light brown one wrapped around her hip and the other had a dark brown one flapping freely behind her back.
—Could you please release me?
They stared at him for a couple of seconds, he swore it lasted an eternity. Until he realized that in reality it could be for a fraction of a second, and that there was really no need for it, they had already said no with their eyes.
Uub had a lot of problems, first, he really had to go to the bathroom. He remembered the words of his supposed companion, the pilot and scientist Trunks Briefs; "You really should go to the bathroom before this". He thought nothing of them. Now, when he got back, the first thing he would do would be to apologize. He found it hard to believe how much he regretted it right now. But for the moment, not everything was lost. For example, neither of the girls were running around like a headless chicken. The one in blue came to look at the screens, touched some buttons, and as quickly as she came she left. The orange one, on the other hand, remained with wide open eyes—arms crossed, and without blinking once doing the greatest impression of an owl.
—I hope you're not waiting for him to show up, because he's not going to.-
Uub thought it was odd how comfortable this seat was, he was chained and his hand and legs were tied to the chair, but the cushion still seemed second to none.
—This whole ship is covered in a shielding device, they'll never find us. –After this mission was done, he'd had to go and ask Mr. Trunks if he could buy the seat, he had never sat in something this nice before. The thought and idea seemed too rude to him, but the feeling of watching a sunrise sitting on this chair was very welcoming. Perhaps he could pay for it with some work, and then give everyone back at his village a chair as comfortable, but then, his bladder reminded him of the main problem at hand.
—May I ask one question?.- Uub asked, looking at the Bandana boy. He put both of his hands on her hips as reply, act that Uub felt was very girly, but maybe that was just how city boys were.
—…What is it?
—Can I go to the bathroom?
The boy smiled smugly.
—You're kidding, right?
Uub shook his head. He Really needed to go.
—How old do you think I am?
Uub looked at him up and down, He was very small for a boy and the clothes were very strange; A red shirt that stopped near the navel, a gray jean that stopped above the feet, a chain that was connected to the belt for some reason—but in contrast, his face seemed very young, it had an air of youth and carelessness that reminded him of the younger kids of his village.
—Nine?-
Uub soon realized that was the wrong answer, as a vein appeared on his forehead, accompanied by a very angry smile.
—I'm twelve.
He said through clenched teeth. Uub smiled in pain, both because that answer took him further and further away from the beautiful bathroom he wanted so much, and also because he wasn't sure he'd been that far off, the boy couldn't be older than eleven at best, so in his mind, he was still right, but he had to make an exception in the name of the greater good. With great pain, he smiled a big pained smile, the kind of smile you make when you get hit with everything but a pretty girl is watching and you have to put up with appearances and act like it didn't hurt at all. He held the grimace for a while, his eyes narrowed and his back began to bend on its own. The boy in black looked him up and down, and with a big sigh kicked the chains down like they were nothing.
He was quick to stand up, with all his strength, he jumped forward. The boy with black hair jumped back with wide eyes at the demonstration of speed. Uub started to hop in place, it was like a rabbit moving through the field, with perfect form and momentum. The boy looked back at him, and fluttered his eyes as he moved forward. He followed like a jumper, they walked through the ship like a rabbit and an angry monkey until they reached a beige painted door. Uub recognized it, because it was the last thing he saw before his eyes saw nothing but darkness. With impressive speed, he opened the door, and without questioning the existence of the bathroom and its elements, he went straight to the bidet. Parking in front of the white toilet, he looked at the boy one last time. he had all her attention on him, with its arms were crossed looking like a statue in human form. With the biggest smile he could form between the effort and pain, he lifted his face begging for release. As a biblical answer, his wishes became reality. The boy rolled the eyes and turned around like a chess piece. Uub didn't waste a second, he pulled down his pants, his underwear, the lid, and sank his ass into the bidet. A feeling of peace inexplicable only to beings who manage to hold out until the last moment passed through his body, like a hot bath, like watching a good movie, like sleeping eight hours straight. For a moment everything was perfect. Then he remembered what had happened, it was like realizing that one is late for work, when the sun is a little brighter than it should be and then the pain is learned from us. He understood what the plan had been. They were both distracted, and he, the straggler, ended up being attacked by surprise. It probably hadn't been part of the plan, maybe they didn't even care about his existence. Reflexively, he twisted downwards. Every detail hurt him more than any blow he had suffered. That a couple of kids with a few hours to spare had been the ones who managed to surprise him in such a way was perhaps the worst thing his pride had ever suffered. So many battles, so many hours training with his master, and this was the end of it. He thanked, with a hand on his heart, that Ni Kut was on the other side of the literal universe because no one could ever find out about this.
Uub turned to his left again, and spotted the blue-haired girl staring at him and then the other girl with a severely confused look. He immediately moved his eyes away, filled with shame.
—What in god's name are you doing?
—I'm keeping an eye on him.
—And?
—He could try something!
The blue haired girl sighed and moved forwards, closing the door. Uub sighed in relief, finally, he had privacy, and after he finished, he thought of getting up, but something inside, something deeper he didn't understand, told him to stay put, he wondered what it was, was it his teacher? Was he going to be saved? He almost thanked kami out loud, and then, when he tried to reach for his pants on the floor, and once he did, the door was slapped wide-open.
—Stop That! I'm not going to have someone openly pissing in my ship!
—I'm making sure he doesn't escape, if you don't want me doing that then maybe you should have closed the doors when I told you!
Uub ignored the commotion and sadly got his pants up, any time, any second, his teacher would appear, and all of this would end. He'd just have to wait.
—I was adjusting the coordinates!
—Well would you look that! Now we have him! Great job genius!
He just hopped he wouldn't take long.
— You could have caught him and then thrown him off the ship!
—At then they would have known it was us!
—Does it matter? They were gonna know sooner or later!
—This is your hostage, why don't you take care of him!?
—Fine!
—Fine!
The two of them shouted at each other as the final act of the play. Uub swore that his ears were squealing like a chicken at dawn, and he seriously wondered why he also heard the sound of a very high-pitched flute inside his ears.
Despite his doubts, the universe ignored him and threw him into another situation. The boy in black walked away, fuming and with a couple of hairs that had stood up in the hair. The one in blue was still at the door, her hair was the same, but slowly she passed her hand over her mouth, and one by one she rejoined the blue locks that floated up like clouds. It seemed strange to him, since her hair was quite long and straight, why in the world would they stand up? It was there that their eyes met for the first time. If the other was full of evil, then this one was full of innocence, they were both kids, but her crystallized blue eyes emanated an impressive air of youth. She did not seem like a young woman capable of kidnapping someone and sending herself to outer space, but rather an honorable and respectful damsel, the type that is not even capable of uttering an insult. She was wearing a red jumpsuit that was held by two red straps and stopped at the waist, below, a red skirt was being held by a black belt with a shiny gold ring, and Underneath it all, she had a blue full body suit that stopped just above her knees and left her arms exposed. She was definitely from the city, thought Uub, and then the girl raised her left pinky and walked away. He hesitated, but continued, feeling that spending more time in that bathroom was a bad idea. They walked towards the center of the ship. Above there was a large sphere like a church peak, the walls were a strong beige, and it was like a room in the Circular Capsule company.
—Sit down.
He turned around, and saw how she, still with the same finger, indicated a little corner in the ship. Uub raised an eyebrow, extremely offended. For a couple of seconds she glared at him, and he glared at her with a face that said "—Who is this kid?—" Eventually, she fluttered her eyes, and let out a big tired sigh, as if this was all a job beneath her that she should be taking care of.
—Fine, stand there, do as you please,— the girl said, annoyed by his lack of commitment. —But, listen very carefully, do not touch anything related to the ship's controls. As we speak, we are travelling at a speed far greater than that of light, and if you so much as move a finger on the wrong panel, you can send us straight to our death or the death of billions, is that understood?
Uub, having understood the consequences of his possible actions, limited to nod. With that, the blue-haired girl smiled, and extended her left hand towards him. Uub thought she was going to shake his hand, but she waved her hand over his head and leaned her body forward, bowing to him.
—My name is Bulla Eschalot Briefs, princess of all Saiyans and heiress of the capsule corporation, welcome to the C.C-1 ship, young Uub.
Bulla said in a royal tone, as she straightened back up.
—I am Uub.
He said returning the bow.
She smiled, and he smiled too, maybe because he now knew who had kidnapped him, or because he could tell from her face that she would also pretend the bathroom incident never happened, and without thinking much, he accepted.
—I'm sorry Miss Briefs, could I ask you question?
Bulla stared at him with both arms closed.
—Could you release me?
Bulla looked at him from up and down and then at his eyes.
—No.- She said.
