It would seem like a regular afternoon sunset at Paldea. Double Dee was simply looking through his telescope into the sea, examining the wildlife.
Who's Double Dee? Eddward, with Two D's in his name, with people referring to this nickname, or Edd, is a teenager of Peach Creek Jr High, along with his other two best friends; Ed and Eddy!
Double Dee was the brains of his team, and possibly the whole Cul-de-sac, as knowing to grow a huge amount of sass and villainy in the last possible phase of his life before the whole event that took off after the Huge Scam Raid, an event that tore the Cul-de-sac Apart. In most scams, Double Dee was the engineer of the scams despite his heart, mind and even his guts telling him not to, but he does what he does and sticks around…
Ed on the other hand, is the muscle of the group. And unlike his hygienically rich and intelligent friend, Ed remains almost the complete opposite. Much to the unsanitary, unfit and the dimwit Ed was, he's incredibly super strong with a positive heart, compared to Double Dee's strict and fair judgment according to himself caped over his scrawny body, who can't even lift as much weight as basically anybody in the Cul-de-sac.
And then we have Eddy, despite having not as much strength as Ed or as much intelligence as Double Dee, he's one heck of a schemer, and normally he's the one organizing the scam together as the supervisor and the leader. He was notoriously known for being the king of the three losers, as most people would refer to them as the outcasts of the Cul-de-sac. And Eddy's main reason for scams was for a treat of a hard candy that's supposed to melt in your mouth but cannot be eaten like that, unless you're Ed, who simply swallows it, sometimes… Other than an Attention-Seeker and a Broke Conman, from time to time again, Eddy's proven to have a heart for those he cares about, however, that includes his two best friends and not the Cul-de-sac kids, who are their customers and their main audience.

And it all changed from time and time again the days they began to leave the Cul-de-sac. From one adventure, or Edventure, to another, they've proven to be brighter and to reveal more potential to others rather than the sour environment of Peach Creek.

What should've been a normal summer vacation, turned out to be one miscalculated mishap… And now, the Ed Boys were gone for good… at least for the Cul-de-sac…
What turned out to be a minor sabotage from Sarah and a few others, turned out to be a huge setback. As things got more normal and boring without them…
And even then, it was fun for a month, until Summer Vacation ended and then school began, however, the news got out that the Ed Boys were getting their education elsewhere, which seemed peaceful enough, but it was the fact that the Ed Boys denied coming back from Summer Vacation in a place where they're learning a new language as well as Sarah brought to her Cul-de-sac friends Ed's signature, in a letter that said… … "Hasta Mañana, con amor… Ed de Paldea…"
Even the Spanish scared Sarah's Mother, but to the point where the Mom and Dad fought over the fact that Ed is gone, and the Dad answered back with "Not that you care about Ed anyways" and then the whole segment of them arguing brought the parents of the Three Eds together about their Sons on a Permanent Vacation, however, it was notified that Double Dee's parents got the signatures of the kids registered onto a copy of a Scholarship Program to be inside the Uva Academy, with their teacher, Professor Sada, who the Ed Boys were already in touch with Professor Turo's Son, Arven, who even got them the Scholarship due to a dispute that somehow got Double Dee to invent a machine to help a sick creature get up on his feet with a Vitamin Machine, which bought more time for Arven's pet. However, they will not return to the Canadian American Connection, due to them doing a Month's Straight worth of Homework.
This made the kids of the Cul-de-sac leave the parental conversation, with a recoil, all except for Jonny 2x4 and Plank, who stuck around, only to find out that it was an optional but a thrilling event, making the boy even more excited to find the Eds.

[Cabo Poco: The Ed Boys]
(Ost: Beach - Super Mario 3D Land)
We find ourselves by Cabo Poco, 3 weeks after registration into Uva Academy, and learning things or two about the way from Cabo Poco to Mesagoza.
Double Dee was trying to work onto his Rotom Phone, like finding out how technology works and how to draw with minimal effort (as he's using a Nintendo 3DS Stylus).
Right next to him, is a small feline-like Pokémon that resembles a kitten. She had light-pink eyes and light-green fur, as well as a small triangular nose and a large bushy tail. Her ears were of a darker green compared to the rest of her fur, she also had a leaf-like fur on her chest and mask-like pattern on her face. She had pink paw pads at the bottom of her paws. She had black claws that usually remain retracted unless in combat.
As of now, she's resting onto Double Dee's hat, as much to Double Dee's discomfort, if he would have some. But for his Pokémon, he understood her cat-like behavior.

[Automatic Pokedex]
"Sprigatito, the Grass Cat Pokémon. A Grass Type. Its fluffy fur is similar in composition to plants. This Pokémon frequently washes its face to keep it from drying out. The sweet scent its body gives off mesmerizes those around it. The scent grows stronger when this Pokémon is in the sun."

"Oh, Pouncy… Such a beautiful natural creation that has blessed this earth with its grace…" Double Dee pets his Sprigatito as she purrs into his hand.
Double Dee grins as he looks down to see Eddy, who's staring off from Cabo Poco's planked fence, as his Water Pokémon watch the birds fly.
Eddy's Water Pokémon appeared as a small white duck with teal feet, a round yellow beak, sapphire connected eyes, and a teal beret of feathers. She had a thin secondary layer of feathers at her chest. Her feathers contain a glossy gel that protects this Pokémon from water and grime.
It took a while for Eddy to get used to this Pokémon as she looks like a bird, and it took a huge arc for Eddy to find his only way of getting into Uva Academy to like him again, but it turns out that his Pokémon and himself have a lot more in common than they think, which also left the Fire Pokémon to Ed.

"Quaxly, the Duckling Pokémon. A Water Type. This Pokémon migrated to Paldea from distant lands long ago. The gel secreted by its feathers repels water and grime. Its strong legs let it easily swim around in even fast-flowing rivers. It likes to keep things tidy and is prone to overthinking things."

Eddy looked at his Quaxly as she looked back at him. Eddy patted his Pokémon on her back, rather than her head as it resulted in a crazy amount of pecking the first time he did. "Nice day, isn't it, Marin?"
Marin, Eddy's Quaxly, nodded back. On this Pokémon's Beret of Feathers, was signatured with a Hibiscus Flower, as much to Marin's joy of signaling Eddy's bond with her, building.
Marin looked at Eddy as Eddy carried her in the air as she flapped her wings. "You like that, did ya?"
Marin quacked, "(Of course I did! I just wish we would've bonded sooner… I couldn't tell if it either me or you, but I'm glad we met!)"
[Note: Pokémon talk normally like humans in their own language, however, it isn't possible for a Human to understand…]
"I wish I can understand your language, pal… But either way, I can read the smile on your face." Eddy smiled as Marin hopped out of his arms and sat on his head like a duck. "Pretty smart girl, aren't ya…?"
"LOOK OUT BELOW!!" Ed ran down with his Fire Pokémon, past Eddy as Eddy caught Marin from falling off his head.
"ED, YOU IDIOT! WATCH WHERE YOU AND YOUR FUE-COCONUT ARE GOING!!" Eddy scolded Ed.
"It's pronounced, Fuecoco, Eddy!" Double Dee informs Eddy from afar.
"Whatever…" Eddy grumbled as Marin crossed her arms.
Fuecoco was a small crocodilian Pokémon with a red pepper-shaped body and a pair of short stubby arms each with three claws. He also had two stump-like legs each with two black toe claws. Two yellow stems protrude from Fuecoco's head. Fuecoco also had two yellow patches on his belly and tail.
Ed and his Fuecoco ran down from Cabo Poco to find something glittering but lost balance as he and his Fuecoco tripped and fell as they stopped at a fence…

"Fuecoco, the Fire Croc Pokémon. A Fire Type. It lies on warm rocks and uses the heat absorbed by its square-shaped scales to create fire energy.Its flame sac is small, so energy is always leaking out. This energy is released from the dent atop Fuecoco's head and flickers to and fro."

"Aw, Louis… We lost it…" Ed whined as he looked at Louis, his Fuecoco, who looked like he had fun running around.
"(Aw, don't worry 'bout it, Ed! I'm sure we can find that glitter again!)" Louis smiled with his toothy grin.

"What are you even chasing, anyways?" asked Eddy who gathered with Double Dee, who simply glided from the levitation of his Rotom Phone.
"I just saw a quarter running from the fence!" Ed exclaimed. "It would've gotten us free Jawbreakers!"
"Correction One: One Jawbreaker; A Quarter would've only been enough to buy us one Jawbreaker back in Peach Creek. Correction Two: Even if we did get the Quarter, I doubt the money works here… But what arose to me was this question… What would a Quarter be doing in Paldea?" Double Dee calculated.
"Hm, beat me…" Eddy shrugged. "Even then, they did allow us to change some of that money into theirs… So maybe… why not?"
"Just remember, we should be able to practice our daily routine in about 5 minutes. And nothing more." Double Dee reminded his team.
"Yeah, yeah. Let's find this so-called Quarter that Ed found… Marin, return!" Eddy replied as he recalled Marin as Double Dee did also, but for Pouncy as Ed did for Louis.

[Private Beach at Cabo Poco: The Ed Boys]
(Music: Bumpsy Plains DX - Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story Bowser Jr's Journey)
The Ed Boys ran around a huge mansion by Cabo Poco, as they tried looking everywhere for the Quarter, but they did find a few items, each kept separately for now.
Eddy looked everywhere on the private beach as he heard a tiny Humanoid/gremlin laughter as he looked up on a small ledge, to find the quarter, with the Pokemon laughing at Eddy.
Eddy groaned in a low tone and octave while he took out his Rotom Phone and scanned the Pokemon.
"Gimmighoul, the Coin Chest Pokémon. Ghost Type. Roaming Form: This Pokémon was born from passion that seeped into a coin. It wanders, apparently seeking to return to the treasure chest it once inhabited. It survives by draining the life-force from humans who try to pick up its coin."
"Well, I know that greed kills, or so they say… SO IT'S TO DIE FOR!!" Eddy charged up the hill, much to his own greed, but lost motivation as soon as Double Dee's words echoed in his head. "Oh… right…"
"Come to think of it Eddy…" Double Dee appeared from behind Eddy, unnoticed.
"Sockhead… you're lucky this is not a Loud House Crossover…" Eddy groaned as he saved his goosebumps for later.
"Believe me, we HAD plans for that…" Double Dee confessed to Eddy.
"Well…" Eddy rolled his eyes.
Suddenly, Double Dee's alarm rang in his Rotom Phone!
"Oh! It's that time?!" Eddy felt energy flowing through him as he energetically smiled. "Oh yeah! I've been ITCHING to take you and Ed down!"
"Correction: It's you will be defeated, Eddy!" Double Dee smirked.
"YAY! LOUD PARTY MINUS THE HOUSE!" Ed replied.
"Okay, that's enough other-show Cameos, Ed…" Eddy replied.
"Okay! Shall we go Me Versus Double Dee and Me Versus Eddy?!" Asked Ed with excitement.
"Actually… I've been meaning to work this out… But let's just try a Battle Royale." Double Dee suggested.
"A Battle Royale? You mean a Free-for-all?" Asked Eddy.
"Precisely what I mean Eddy." Double Dee loaded his Pokéball as Eddy spread away as Ed followed Eddy.
"Not at my side, Ed! Go far from me and Double Dee!" Eddy replied as he took his Pokéball.
"Okay…" Ed moped as he walked away.
"Ed! We meant in the same distance as us, but far apart so you can have your side of the field!" Double Dee reassured Ed.
"Oh! Right!" Ed smiled as he did the same as Eddy and Double Dee!
"May the best Ed Boy win!" Eddy smirked.

[Starter's Battle Royale! Ed Vs Double Dee Vs Eddy!]
"Come on out, Marin!" Eddy summoned his Quaxly as she fluffs her head feathers and pat her hibiscus flower.
"(I am here to win, and nothing more!)" Marin quacked.
"We shall have a crack at it! Let's go, Pouncy!" Double Dee summoned his Sprigatito as she licked her paw as she stared into the battlefield.
"(I'm totally gonna have fun with you.~)" Pouncy licked her lips, staring at Marin like food, until Louis was summoned by Ed.
"(Did somebody called for Barbecue Duckling with Rosemary Smoke?!)" Louis snarled heartily and energetically, catching Pouncy and Marin's attention.
"We'll take victory, even if it's by force! Right, Louis?!" Ed smirked.

[Rules For this Battle]
The Pokémon under 15 Percent Health counts as a KO. Items are not allowed. And since the Ed Boys have no other Pokémon, the winner of the battle Royale has to be the last Pokémon standing!

"First things first! Pouncy! Attack Marin with Leafage!" Double Dee ordered.
"(Take this, Chicken Head!)" Pouncy hissed as she swung her green glowing tail and barraged a couple of razor leaves at Marin!
"Counter back with Water Gun, Marin!" Eddy ordered with a thrust of his hand.
"(No meat for you, Sunlight Baker!)" Marin took a deep breath and gushed out a blast of water with an exhale, canceling the Leafage with an eruption of green and crystal blue in the center of Pouncy and Marin!
"Louis! Take the shot! Ember on the Double Dee's Cat!" Ed smirked, pointing at Pouncy as Pouncy looked at Louis, hearing that order!
"(Here it comes, Peppermint!)" Louis took a deep breath as he blasted out a small dart of fire onto Pouncy's direction.
"Pouncy, use-!" Double Dee's order didn't make it in time as Pouncy took a lot of damage, screaming loudly from the pain! "OH DEAR!!! POUNCY!!"
"Thank you, Ed! Now take this, Double Dee!" Eddy smirked. "Marin! Finish the job! Use Water Gun on Pouncy again!"
"Only a mindless fool would go charge at a stronger Pokémon!" Double Dee retaliated as Pouncy glowed with a Green Aura.
"Huh…?" Eddy was puzzled but then snapped back. "Okay then? Marin! KEEP THE ATTACK ORDER! WATER GUN!"
"Retaliate with your Boosted Leafage, Pouncy!" Double Dee ordered.
As the two Pokémon clashed again in blasts, Pouncy's was more stronger as she not only pushed back the Water Gun, but also reached Marin, damaging her! Marin screamed as she was knocked back!
"What?!" Eddy was shocked.
"NOW'S YOUR CHANCE, LOUIS!!" Ed ordered as from behind Pouncy, who was in battle stance, took a Tackle attack on her bottom, leaping her into the sand as Pouncy got up and readied her claws! "Tackle!"
"Retaliate with Scratch!" Double Dee responded to that order, knowing Leafage won't probably do anything.
Louis tackled into Pouncy as Pouncy jumped back and scratched Louis, who raised his mouth up for a dodge and tried to go for a headbutt, but Pouncy leaped to the side!
"Marin! Use Water Gun on both! Now!" Eddy ordered as Marin got up and fired a Water Gun, as much strength as her last one!
It took Ed a bright idea, but he remembered so many instances with tail and toon comedy, with slapstick!
"Light the dynamite tail, Louis!" Ed answered with his eyes dilated.
"WAIT! POUNCY, LEAP UP!" Double Dee frantically ordered as Pouncy leaped up and let Louis take the Water Gun attack to his body! Louis shivered with growling pain! "NOW USE LEAFAGE ON MARIN!"
"Uh oh…" Eddy was doomed.
"(SAYONARA, CONFIT!)" Pouncy grunted as she unleashed a powerful barrage of leaves from her tail onto Marin who took a lot of damage, brightening up her body in Blue Aura, but then fades instantly.
"And I believe that's a KO!" Double Dee smirked!
"No!!" Eddy groaned as Pouncy was still in the air!
"Square on the spot!" Ed aimed. "Louis! Aim for the air! And use… EMBER!!"
"WAIT!! NO!!!" Double Dee was shocked.
"(You got yourself a Herb Duckling! How about we add some Smoked Cilantro, huh?!)" Louis took a deep breath despite his low health and his light red aura glowing. As he released a Fire Dart, Pouncy was struck by a powerful hit, Pouncy yelped in pain as she landed in the sand with a thud, sizzling with smoked fur…
"POUNCY!!" Double Dee ran to his Pokemon as he healed her with a Potion, signaling she was at full strength. "Are you okay…?"
Pouncy gets up and climbs onto Double Dee as Double Dee pets her, earning her purrs.
Eddy did the same for Marin with a Potion, as Marin was happy she didn't get to fight Louis, due to her Hibiscus Flower. Marin did, however, hug Eddy.
"WE DID IT!!" Louis walked to Ed as Ed carried Louis and tossed him into the air and caught him and tossed him up again and caught him, repeatedly, celebrating their victory!

Ed healed Louis with a Potion, after that, the Ed Boys returned their Pokémon to rest for a while.
"Man, Lumpy, it seems like yesterday you were like me, a flunky, but I guess you know more about battling than we do…" Eddy commented.
"I think it was the fact that we focused more on each other, and he took the wide opening of Pouncy's predicament; in the air." Double Dee replied. "But all's fair in this match, I suppose… I guess all's fair in this battle, Ed, what would you like your Battle Reward to be?"
"Battle Reward?" Asked Ed.
"Well, in order to compensate for a victory, the defeated opponent must surrender some currency and/or a valued item. And since we don't have any amount of money available since we keep a rational amount, what would you like your prize to be?" Double Dee elaborated.
"Shame we couldn't have Jawbreakers…" said Eddy.
"Ohhh… I miss Jawbreakers…" Ed whined.
"I'm sure we all do, Ed…" Double Dee sighed.
"But that sandwich you made earlier was yummy in Ed's tummy!" Ed smiled again.
"I'm pretty sure you're talking about the Peanut Butter, Butter and Banana Special I whipped up." Double Dee smiled.
"How is that even possible?" Eddy questioned the idea that Ed would settle with nothing more than gravy.
"Well, you see, Eddy. It's technically Buttered Toast, at the same time; it's a peanut butter and banana sandwich." Double Dee smiled as he explained the logic of the sandwich.
"Double Butter and Banana! Now I feel Peach Creek Tropical!" Ed wobbled front and back at the thought of the Sandwich.
"Well, of course, Ed! We'll make your sandwich soon enough! Just as long as we head back to Mesagoza and restock!" Double Dee smiled.
"Let's go!" Ed smiled as he carried his two friends and made a run for it from the Private Beach, back to Cabo Poco, and onto Poco Path.
