"Tell me, Anakin," Palpatine asked. "Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?"
Anakin was, if he was going to be honest, neither at the time nor in the mood for this.
It sounded sort of Jedi-history related, or Sith-history related, but (if Anakin was going to be honest, which he was for these purposes) that had been by far his worst subject short of Diplomacy. It had been so dull, and boring, and he'd had to sit still during the lessons.
But Palpatine was a friend, and Anakin didn't want to look bad in front of his friend, so he did what had become easier and easier.
"Oh, yeah," he replied.
The reaction he got was not what he expected.
"What?!" the Chancellor demanded. "How? There were only two people there, I was one of them, and I murdered the other one!"
"...what?" Anakin asked.
"What?" Palpatine replied. "...ah, well, it's not a story the Jedi would tell you-"
Anakin was already sprinting for the exit.
He did not want to be trapped in a small room with a murderer, regardless of whether they had Force powers or not.
AN:
Back to the Prequels for this one, with Anakin exhibiting the traits of a typical college student.
