Latias took a deep breath.
She'd been following her saviour, this trainer… Ash… for weeks. And she'd seen him do so many things.
Amazing things. Mundane things. He'd rescued her and then just… gone about his life, as if nothing was different.
Because nothing was different. That was just who he was.
The Psychic-type closed her eyes, concentrating, then flew slowly down in front of Ash.
He stopped walking.
"Huh?" he asked. "Pikachu, is there something in front of us?"
Latias decloaked.
"Oh!" Ash said, surprised.
Ash! Latias began, her mental voice coming out in a rush. I think – I think I'm in love with you!
"What!?" a voice squeaked.
It was another Latias.
She decloaked as well, and pointed her arm at Latias. "You – but – I kissed Ash first! It's taken years to find someone else to take care of Altomare, and then – I was going to tell him I was in love with him!"
"You're in love with Ash?" Latias asked, pointing back. "But I'm in love with Ash!"
"I know, but I was in love with him first!"
"I said it first!"
"I kissed him first!"
Ash looked very confused as the pointing and squeaking continued.
"Wait, is one of you from Altomare?" Pikachu said. "I wondered if this Latias was you, Latias, but she didn't seem to recognize Ash."
"I see!" Ash's Rotom Phone said. "So, one of you is Altomare Latias and the other is a different Latias!"
He made a bzzt noise. "I will need to record this behaviour. I will record this as Alto Shipping and Alter Shipping, to remove confusion."
"That doesn't remove confusion," Pikachu grumbled.

Another one inspired by Journeys Latias, this time with the worry that Ash x that Latias would be assumed to be what "Altoshipping" meant by people who'd never seen Heroes.
So, obviously the best solution is to call Ash x Journeys Latias "AlterShipping".
Makes sense to me.
