"It's over, Deku," Shoto said frantically. He put a hand on his shoulder. "You have to stop searching for your quirk. We all saw All For One die. There's nothing to the rumors that he saved One For All and stored it.."
"Yeah, man, you can't go after something that's not there," Bakugo said.
"I know I'll find it!" Deku replied angrily.
"Don't yell at us! We're only trying to help you!" Bakugo replied angrily.
"Wait-stop here, Bakugo, I think I just saw something," Shoto interrupted.
Bakugo stopped the car in front of an old-fashioned gas station. It was nighttime, and they were in the hot Texas desert.
"Hi, Izuku Midoriya," said the girl. She had on a red dress that matched her red eyes. "You're famous where I come from."
She grinned, twirling her long red hair with her left hand.
"Anyone else seeing red?" Bakugo joked.
"Not funny," replied Deku, getting out of the car. "Who are you?"
Shoto rolled down his window. "Be careful, Deku."
"I'm fine." He turned back to the girl. "Now who are you?"
"I am Sadako," she smiled. "And I hear you lost your quirk. Too bad you're not in the hero game anymore."
"How do you know all this stuff about her?"
"I told you, you're famous," she said in a bored voice. "Do you want to know how to be a superhero again?"
"What do you mean?"
"I'm a lab technician who has been experimenting with a substance that can make the subject superhuman. I just need a test subject." She smiled.
Shoto didn't like the way this girl smiled at Deku. She looked like she wanted to kill him. Shoto got out of the car.
"Don't trust her, Deku. I have a bad feeling." Shoto glared at Sadako.
Sadako smiled back. She handed Deku something. "If you inject it, it works within hours. Bye, bye."
She vanished suddenly, no flash or sign that she had been there at all, except for the little syringe in Izuku Midoriya's hand.
