Steve's POV

I saw the Sunny but it was already surrounded, this army of Big Mom's just never seemed to let up, they had us so outnumbered they could either stagger their assaults to wear us out or simply crush us with sheer overwhelming forces. It didn't help Big Mom was also chasing us down in her manic panic for cake.

"Seriously this old crone is pissing me off!" I yelled "I wanna burn her into ash! Grr!"

I looked up and saw the ship was currently being held by more of Big Mom's forces who had managed to capture the team sent to recover the ship. There were three notable people there, that tall man from the wedding, the one with the long tongue, and Smoothie.

How'd she get here so fast?

"Luffy!" I yelled "They're on our ship!"

"Yeah, let's throw 'em off!" he said.

"Candy Maiden!"

A wall of hard candy formed before us, spikes covering it to add to the defense.

"Go around!" Jinbei ordered.

"I'm going straight through that dumb thing!" I pulled my bandages off "Luffy use it!"

"Try not to burn my arm off!" he yelled pulling his arm back.

I let my dark flames leak out and surround Luffy's arm as I pulled my arm back with his.

"Gum-Gum!"

"Hellfire!"

"BLACKHAWK!"

The blast of heat melted right through the wall of candy and opened a path straight ahead.

"Some stupid ass candy wall can't resist hell's flames." I glared at the long tongued man on my ship "Now get off my ship!"

Luffy jumped ahead to try and attack but his punch was blocked by the massive tall man with the fur lined vest, his arm stretched just like Luffy's to meet him with a punch.

"His arm is stretchy too?!" Carrot gasped.

"It's a Devil Fruit that is like rubber?" I wondered shooting forward with my wings "We're stuck between two monsters, Luffy clear the ship first!"

"He came through the mirror, right?" he said.

"It's the only way they could have beat us here." I grabbed him "Ready?"

"Yeah!"

"Hellfire Shotput!"

I hurled Luffy forward allowing him to crash into the man and knock him back a step. With Luffy taking care of the big guy I flew in and landed before Smoothie.

"I'm getting really sick of your face." I pulled my fist back.

"The feeling is mutual!" she blocked me with her sword, flames blasting out around us.

I used the displaced flames as cover and jumped up before her face.

"Hellfire Six King Gun!"

That massive horizontal blast of flame knocked her back against the railing, I quickly flew forward and grabbed her hair.

"Hurry and get us out of here Nami!" I yelled.

"I'll prep the Burst!" Wyper ran below deck "Just get ready!"

"You can't escape!" Smoothie swung her sword at me.

"Iron Body!" I blocked her but still felt the slash sting my body.

"Your Iron Body is harder than most." Smoothie said "But it's still a feeble defense compared to my Armament."

I was running out of options faster and faster, the ship was infested with foes and now we were rapidly being trapped in candy, if I tried to melt it with my Hellfire Smoothie would attack me or someone else, but if I kept her distracted there was no way to free the ship.

"I can't even get to shore to take out that Candy guy." I growled occupying Smoothie with a blast of flames "Dammit!"

I was about to accept that there was nothing we could do when suddenly that long tongued candy guy got slashed by Pedro, he was the sorce if we could knock him out this Candy should vanish, but the way Pedro planned to do that was with a suicide bombing run.

"YOU IDIOT STOP!" I yelled "I'll figure out another-!"

Before I could even speak another word a massive explosion rocked the shoreline, the shockwave blasting out and even shaking the ship.

"PEDRO!"
The Candy is melting away…

"HIT THE LEVER!" I yelled "THAT'S AN ORDER! I'm not wasting this chance!"

"Your window is about to slam shut!" Smoothie lifted her sword.

"You might wanna hold on to something." I smirked.

Wyper pulled the ignition lever and sent the ship skyward, Smoothie was yanked to the side by the force and sent slamming into a wall.

"As if!" she yelled leaning against the railing and aiming her sword "Juice Rifle!"

"GAH!" I yelled getting blasted in the shoulder and falling over the railing "Like hell I'm escaping that old hag to fall into the sea and drown, Pitch Black Wings!"

I flew back up and speared Smoothie, grabbing her by the waist.

"That sword is pretty long, must be hard to hit people that get so close." I glared blasting out flames to increase my speed "Jinbei I'm taking this one someplace a bit more quiet, I'll catch up, promise!"

I streaked across the sky like a flaming rocket, slamming Smoothie down on a nearby island that seemed to be mostly mountains and empty space.

"Clever trick Demon boy." She stood up "You diverted me away from your crew into a place I wouldn't harm them by throwing yourself in front of me, you're much smarter than you look."

"Thanks." I stood up and wreathed myself in flames "Here there's no armies, no crews, just me and you able to settle this one on one without any more distractions or interference."

"Katakuri is still on the ship." she pointed out.

"Nah, Luffy will take care of him, I already know what he was thinking. He's going to drag him back into the mirror world that you used to get on our ship. He may not look it, but my body is sharp as a tack." I let off a little heat and stretched my arms "Now by the end of this fight, I will prove I'm stronger than you, then once I get out of here, I'll come back someday, and kick Crap Mom's ass too!"

"Hmm, my juice abilities will quash your flames." She smirked and licked her lips "I wonder how you'll taste when I drain you dry?"
