Steve's POV

With Big Mom's islands in the rear view we started heading to Wano where we could meet up with the others.

"The newspaper's here!" Carrot jumped down off the mast "Look."

"Did they write anything about what happened after we left, or Jinbei?" Luffy asked.

"Hmm it says you guys and Bege had a failed assassination attempt against Bege." Carrot red the paper "Oh and Luffy's the ringleader."

"He makes a good forward figure." Monet joked "Must be all that natural Charisma you have Captain."

"Oh look wanted posters!" Carrot smiled.

The first one she got out was for Sanji.

"330,000,000."

"That's quite a lot." Brook said.

"Are you serious?" Sanji said "Wait how much was Zoro's."

"320,000,000." Monet said having memorized the number. "There are also ones for Luffy and Steve let's see 1,500,000,000 and 1,000,000,000 each."

"Well, that's a lot." I laughed "Kinda scary how expensive that is."

"It would seem like no one else has changed." Monet scanned the paper "Most of the rest is about preparations for the Reverie."

"A meeting of all the important people in the world, that could be a problem for us in the long run." I said "For now I say we just try and lay low for a bit and head to Wano like we planned."

"Feels like forever since we saw everyone, I can't wait." Luffy smiled.

"I'll keep the Sunny afloat till then, once we're there we can find Franky for the real repairs." Wyper nodded.

"Alright, then we're all set for now." I nodded.

Sometime later in a far off place…called Wano

There was a shrine mostly forgotten in Wano, though it still had its pilgrims and visitors, people looking for any sort of comfort. Recently more people had been coming though, word had spread of a new shrine maiden here that was kind and soothing as well as welcoming to all.

"She's amazing."

"So graceful yet so energetic."

On a platform near the shrine the girl danced side to side, her long sleeves trailed in the air behind her as the charm she held in her hands rustled.

"Lilto is sure a shining light in these dark times." They said as her ceremonial dance ended.

With that done Lil went back to sweeping up at the shrine.

"Thank you for your help dear." The old woman who ran the shrine said.

"Thank you for having me." Lil bowed "This place is so beautiful."

"Many years ago it was even more beautiful." She said "the trees around the shrine bloomed, we had visitors every day."

"Don't fret about the old times." He husband said "It'll turn around any day now."

"You keep saying that." She sighed "But how much longer can we wait."

"Be optimistic, anything can change." Lil reassured her.

"It's good to see young people being so positive." The woman smiled.

ELSEWHERE

In the shadows of the Sakura trees on Wano, Rose sat among the branches. Unlike the others who were undercover living among the masses she was able to use her ninja training to stay hidden and spy that way, plus it gave her access to keep an eye on everyone else.

"Hmm?" she felt a ripple in the air "What was that?"

She suddenly saw a huge cloud of dust get kicked up as a building off in the distance split in too.

"That idiot." She kicked off and darted from tree to tree to get across the city to where Zoro had just made a mess of things by cutting down not only some people who had arrested him but also the entire building they owned.

"You just had to make a mess didn't you." Rose jumped down and slapped him on the back of the head.

"They started it." He grumbled.

"We're supposed to be laying low and staying out of trouble, come on we gotta get outta here now."
