(Chapter 4: New Year, New Psyker, New Opportunities)
It would be the month of March for the young Psyker, who in no longer attending Aldera High School was able to not only engage in combating villains and training in his powers as a green cladded vigilante in both Musutafu and Esuha City. But also thanks to Dr. Shinoda grasp a better understanding of his Quirk and all that it entailed far more effectively than he would've by himself, as such alongside his friendships with Toga and Twice; life was shaping up to be pretty good for Izuku.
(March 5th, 998. M41, Zenthon, Musutafu, Japan, 1:45 Pm)
It would be a quarter till 1 in the afternoon as Izuku was atop one of the many buildings in Musutafu;the young Psyker feeling himself as the happiest he had ever been in ages, and with his continued growth in understanding his Quirk came a newfound level of confidence in what he could do and achieve.
"I can't believe that it's been 3 months since I've had my Quirk, and I've come so far with it. Granted I can't quite fly just yet, but improvements are appreciated wherever they come!" Izuku said as he bounded/wall-crawled from building to building at borderline supersonic speeds
'Now all I have to do is wait the next 5 to 6 months out, and before I know it; U.A here I come…Also, I really need to work on a name for my Quirk and a decent Hero Name, not to mention a color scheme to go with my hero costume. But what goes well with green, and also cape or no cape…wow I still have a lot of choices to make. Maybe Twice has some good ideas since he's really good at making costumes.' Were the green-haired Psyker's thoughts as he continued to travel through his home at near unreal speeds
From thereon Izuku continued to traverse his hometown enjoying the feeling of being a living blur of motion, and was currently doing so while keeping his eye out any potential crimes in progress or villains running about the area. Wherein he made sure to use his super speed to keep his face a constant blur, alongside wearng a metal half-mask in order to mask as much of his features as possible; while still allowing him to see as he traversed at high speeds.
And yet low and behold was he soon beholden to the sight of a few pro-heroes battling against and actually floundering against one of the higher B-ranked nearing A-ranked villains of Japan named Shawlong Kufang who held the Quirk: Bone Mantis; who looked on in disappointment at the small group of heroes led by a quite wounded Kamui Woods. Wherein the heroes in question were very much bloodied given the fact that Shawlong was able to use his inhuman speed, bone claws, and fast-paced aggression to outmaneuver, speed-blitz, and shred his opposition to their current state.
So much so that even Ingenium found himself quickly disabled as his the tendons in his legs had been severed to bloody ribbons leaving him in shambles, as well as his right arm having a quarter-sized hole going through it at the shoulder. Leaving a disappointed Shawlong to look at them in disgust for having brought such pitiful heroes to challenge, and yet as he was about to bring his claws down for a decapitating blow against Kamui Woods, he was forced to dodge out of the way from a Colorado Smash that had he not dodged would've crushed his ribcage for sure.
Wherein he saw his new opponent as a young man of above-average height wearing a green hoodie with piecemeal body armor that Toga had painted green and silver in the form of a padded chestplate and greaves while a metal half-mask obscured his face, and any further facial features shown were obscured through the use of his super speed to rapidly blur his face as something impercievable. The young mans' unnervingly bright green eyes stared at him ready to engage in combat as Warp energy cracked and arced around his metallic fists, as a grin crossed Shawlong's face from behind his warped-looking helm.
"Hmmm, a new challenger. I apologize for the mess that I left behind in dealing with these cretins that call themselves heroes. However, they failed to be up to my standards in the challenge of strong opponents…Perhaps, you will suffice, young man." Shawlong said to the green-haired Psyker
"I may not have their experience, but I am more than strong enough to defeat you, Kufang." Was the Psyker's response
"You are certainly welcome to try, but I must warn you. I do not take it lightly against any of my opponents, so you will have to keep up." Shawlong said back
"What are we waiting for, let's get started." Izuku spoke as Warp energy caused the ground around him to heave and warble
"Hey, careful he is not someone you can…" Cementoss tried to say
However, faster than he could finish his sentence; did Izuku and Shawlong dash towards each other in a fearsome burst of speed, so much so that multiple THHOOOMMMS were heard, as they collided in repetition with each other at the speed of sound and beyond. With the glass of nearby buildings cracking apart from the sheer speeds they were fighting at, as all that could be seen as the two battled it out against each other were blurs of green and bone-white motions.
With claws and stinger-like tail made from bone sharper than reinforced steel, clashing against Izuku's metallic fists that had grown hooked spikes on his knuckles in order to puncture and pierce the carapace that covered Shawlong as the two clashed at incredible speeds. Wherein Izuku remained on defense against Shawlongs claw swipes that struck with the precision of a duelist with his rapier, but nonetheless the Psyker in question able to weave, parry, and occasionally land a solid jab or hook to the body that thudded against Shawlong with surprising force.
Nonetheless, Izuku was sticking to his defense of evasive manuevers and the occasional counter; so as to better study and analyze his opponent in order to take them down in the most efficient manner possible. However, Shawlong made sure that the young Psyker would work for any of his defensive maneuvers; as every strike made came with a relentless cadence that felt as though for every swipe aimed at his neck, two to four more came for his liver, kidneys, joints or any other areas that could debilitate him.
Yet it was thanks to both his inhuman agility and his telekinetic abilities that he was able to shift Shawlong's attacks out of the way long enough; so that they would only land as glancing blows or minor ones as he continued to evade and study his opponent. His mind racing at mind-numbing speeds, as it quickly memorized and calculated every movement of his claws and stinger, to his high-speed footwork, and even the cadence of his attacks and the delay in each blow for a transition into a another flurry of high-speed attacks.
As such in what felt like minutes but were barely more than a few minutes of intense combat wherein Izuku continued to weave, dodge and parry the attacks that came after him, did he manage to assess his opponents' fighting style, and begin to implement his own counter-attack. Which began in the form of him lashing out with a blast of Warp-fire that Shawlong was able to dodge and side-step out of the way from, but it was merely a distraction for Izuku to use his telekinetic prowess to send two minivans hurtling into Shawlong's side.
The bone-covered villain sliced through them in swift succession, but was again met with Izuku launching a moped at him at supersonic speeds; sending him into the air like a bullet, before the green-haired Psyker launched himself into the air and with a vicious Detroit Smash sent him carreening into a nearby building. A raucous KRAAKKOOOMMM echoed as dust, debris and fire surrounded the crater that the villain landed in, his bone-like carapace greatly cracked in areas, as well as his left shoulder being dislocated and the feeling of his innards borderline imploding was felt in his body.
Wherein Izuku further sent him hurtling across the streets of Musutafu via a powerful bolt of psychic lightning; the intensity was such that Shawlong barely had time to dodge from being hit flush with the psionic attack, and yet it was potent enough to slam him with such force that a building nearly collapsed in on him. The young Psyker now in knowing how his opponent was able to fight through his high speeds and use of his bone claws and stinger, now stood ready to dismantle his opponent and continue the rest of his day in the mastery of his 'Quirk'
"So I will presume that you were holding back initially, were you not?" Shawlong questioned his body still in a pain-induced haze as his limbs shook from suddenly being speed-blitzed
"In the few minutes we were fighting, I was able to analyze, break-down and form a counter-measure to defeat you. It was incredibly simple to be completely honest." Izuku spoke as he began to wind up for a Colorado Smash
"If that is the case then…" Were the only words Shawlong could say before Izuku dashed at supersonic speeds to deliver a blisteringly power Colorado Smash
With Shawlong having attempted to use his full speed to dash out of the way from a supersonic Colorado Smash, but Izuku in seeing his opponent move to dodge out of the way; used a burst of Warp energy to propel him forward in order to intercept his opponent and land his attack flush against their right temple. The attack sending him hurtling for dozens of feet in an explosive burst of otherworldly fire, his bone-like helm having been blasted apart and his face melted and burned by the psychic flames of the Immaterium as he was sent flying across the streets of Musutafu.
But not before a trio of tendrils made of psychic energy soon wrapped around Shawlong's legs on either end, melting away nerve endings, tendons and muscle within as he was violently ripped and wrenched towards Izuku; who was already rushing at him at immense speeds that had another sonic boom echoing behind him. Wherein Izuku who had wrapped himself in the esoteric energies of the Warp; proceeded to spear himself into Shawlong's chest with such force that it not only shattered his bone-like carapace, but melted through his flesh and bones with relative ease; causing the armored man to gasp as he felt his upper-ribs and collarbone melt and borderline shatter.
From there on he electrified both his fists and began to deliver a short yet nonetheless thudding sequence of punches to his opponents abdomen, pummeling and electrifying him with such force that his skeleton was illuminated from the sheer output of the psychic lightning. All before Izuku concluded the sequence with a massive uppercut to the liver that came with such force that it turned the armor on Shawlong's back into dust, as the indentation of Izuku's fist could be visibly seen from what could only be described as Shawlong's spine, liver, kidneys and innards meeting with each other.
Wherein the moment he withdrew his fist from Shawlong's gut, the tall, battered and brutalized man who was left shaking from the feeling of his stomach having been flattened as though it were dough and Izuku's armored fist was a rolling pin; had fell to the ground unconscious, his body sputtering and seizing from the overload of pain. As such in seeing his opponent neutralized, battered, and now unconscious; Izuku soon departed once he heard the sound of police sirens approaching the scene the green-haired Psyker regarding this as another success and experience gathered to better combat the various villains of the world.
'At this rate, I should be leagues above my peers at U.A…Maybe in a few months, I'll even surpass Kaachan and his Quirk too!' Were the excited thoughts of the green-haired Psyker as he dashed off and away
(1 week later, March 12th, 998. M41, Musutafu, Japan, 4:05 Pm)
Meanwhile, in the days to pass would Izuku before Izuku was to be at his next appointment with Dr. Shinoda for the further testings of his 'Quirk' which Izuku had dubbed as Psycho-Power, and as with all of his prior appointment had shown a consistent growth with the capabilities of said Quirk.
"Are you sure about this, Izuku? The last few times you have tried this during our appointments, it did not go as well as hoped." Dr. Shinoda asked the green-haired Psyker
"I am positive, now that I have figured out how to do this without injury or destruction the surrounding area around me. So this time I am confident that I will get it this time." Izuku said back as he finished putting on the body-cam and harness
"Alright, then. You are free to begin, and good luck young man." Dr. Shinoda told Izuku who nodded
Once the body-cams and harness to monitor Izuku's vital-signs were up and running, and the grey-eyed doctor giving him the go-ahead, Izuku took a deep-breath and for the 26th time in trying Izuku tried to lift himself off once more to successfully fly. However, instead of the other methods he had done previously from trying to brute force himself off the ground, to using his psychic flames as a sort of propulsion, to blasting himself off the ground; he decided to try an approach that should work the most effectively.
Which was to no longer confine himself to being in a limited space enchained by gravity, but instead think of the world that he was able to move in and everything around it as a a physical space that he could pivot off too and move about as though it were any other surface. And so in a rather unceremoious manner as he lifted off into the ground, rising for rough a dozen or so feet before stopping, with him then taking a deep breath and in doing what he had mentally prepped himself for continued to take flight.
Which in part to him using this tactic of flying through the physical space around him, had led to him not only being able to move through the air with far more ease than anticipated, but with an incredible amount of get-up-and-go to his aerial movements as well. So much so that he was able to slip through alleyways, maneuvers around buildings and fly through the skies as though he were a giant green falcon…granted one that had to be mindful of not soaring too fast lest in his excitement he smack himself into a billboard, but the feeling was still there nonetheless.
As such Izuku continued to fly at gradually increasing speeds, the winds howling and almost screaming beside him as he would fly across Musutafu; assisted by the strength of the Warp and enjoying the freedom that came from moving through physical space in this manner. However, as he began to loop around back to Dr. Shinoda's he had tried to in his excitement go a bit faster and in doing so tapped into the Warp to where for the briefest of moments the world around him began to flicker and shift.
Where instead of flying through the skies of Musutafu he found himself flying through a space of kalidescopic colors and a strange ship with what looked like elves that stared in shock and surprise in seeing a human boy in his teens flying beside them in the raw Warp as though it were nothing before suddenly disappearing. All the while after Izuku shook his head after the weird moment of flying next to the strange ship full of 'elves' that was a strange sight to see, was one that he filed away as one the strange occurrences that came when he accidentally went a bit too deep with his Quirk…especially the white-haired elf lady who stared back in confusion and surprise at the young man flying through it without a Gellar Field to protect him.
As such Izuku would soon touch back down to Dr. Shinoda who had an impressed look after Izuku's 12 minutes of sustained flight, and the fact that he didn't crash into anything this time around or nearly faceplant into the side of an airplane was a welcome plus as well.
"It looks as though number 26 is your lucky number Mr. Midoriya. Congratulations, on managing to achieve flight without harming yourself. Had this been another incident in your doing so, I doubt your mother would have appreciated you coming home in bandages again." Dr. Shinoda congratulated the green-haired Psyker
"Thank you, and I'm glad that my latest theory on how to achieve flight without harm; was proven correct." Izuku spoke as he began undoing the harness and the body-cam from his torso
"Would you mind, sharing this development with me? I would like to hear about it, since it has led to you making such a drastic improvement." Dr. Shinoda questioned
"Oh, well the trick was that I had to stop thinking of myself moving through the physical space around me, as anyone else would move through it." Izuku replied
"Instead, I had to express my abilities as allowing myself to move through physical space freely. So I had to think of myself as something that was able to move unbound by gravity or any off the other fundamental forces. And from there it was a bit of trial and error and calculating how to do so, I was abel to figure out how to make it happen…I'm just a bit down that it took me so long to figure out the idea in the first place." Izuku further explained as to how he figured out how to fly without cuasing himself undo injuries
"That is a rather interesting way to attain the ability to impressive as well given your method of doing so means that you don't have to waste any energy to lift off the ground." Dr. Shinoda replied impressed by the method Izuku came too
"Thank you, I realized that with how strange my powers are. That I need to think of things in both a scientific and an unconventional manner if I want to make any progress with any new powers I manifest." Izuku told his physician regarding how he was handling discovering the mechanics of Quirk in his downtime
"Considering how complex some psionic-based Quirks can become, that is a more than reasonable explanation." Dr. Shinoda replied in agreement of his statement
"If you don't mind my asking, what is the strongest application of a psychic-based Quirk that you have seen?" Izuku questioned
"While I have seen quite a few in my time. There was one who is a pro-hero in the states who is a powerhouse much like yourself. Someone that you might want to meet if you decide to take your skills further. But from what I've witnessed she was able to lift entire continents with her psychic powers, and create hurricanes with sheer telekinetic force." Dr. Shinoda informed an incredibly impressed Izuku
"They sound incredible, what's their name?!" Izuku asked
"They are the Number 2 hero of the United States; The Tornado of Terror…Trust me, she is every bit as powerful as her hero name implies." Dr. Shinoda informed the green-haired Psyker
"I will take your word for it, Dr. Shinoda…Are there any other tests that we will need to do for the day?" Izuku spoke to the grey-eyed doctor
"At the moment, no. We have done everything as needed for the day. As such we can head back inside to inform your mother of how everything has gone so far, and that the results of today will go into our system to record your bi-weekly progression of your Quirk." Dr. Shinoda told Izuku
"Ok…I can't believe I can fly now, this is going to open so many avenues of what I can do." Izuku said with measured excitement as his mind began to race and calculate all of the new possibilities open to him
"One step at a time young man. We need to take your powers with all the caution possible, the last thing we need is for you to get so excited about being able to fly. That the next thing you know, you accidentally cave a building in; because you didn't look where you were going." Dr. Shinoda said back in caution to the green-haired young man
"Fair enough, but at least I now have a goal before I enroll in U.A this year…Learn how to fly not only proficiently, but to do so well enough to break the sound barrier." Izuku spoke as the middle-aged doctor smiled at the young mans' aspirations
"The only thing I can say about that is good luck, and patience. Because, you still have a long road ahead of you until then." Dr. Shinoda told him as Izuku nodded
'The only other thing on my mind, is why did I see a ship in one of my visions?...At least I think that was a vision that I had, right?' Izuku wondered to himself
(3 days later, March 15th, 998. M41, Northern Musutafu, Japan, 1:45 Pm)
Meanwhile, as days would pass further into the month of March was Izuku in there apartment complex cleaning it while his mom was on-call at work, and himself taking a break from fighting against villains and the like…at least until he heard a knock at the door that called too his attention.
'I wonder who could be visiting at the door…' Izuku wonderd before his face nearly fell too pieces at who he saw was at the door as he opened it
"Hey, Midoriya, its been awhile hasn't it?!" Burnin greeted the young Psyker
"Miss. Burnin', what are you doing here?" Izuku asked back
"I came here because my boss wants to meet with you. We've kept up with all the crazy stuff you've been doing these past couple of months. So if you want, he wants to talk with you about giving you an opportunity if your interested." Burnin told the green-haired Psyker who lit up like a Christmas tree upon hearing that
"Endeavor wants to me?!" Izuku questioned
"Yep! We planned on coming to your school to get you, and set up a meeting, but we were told about you having dropped out…By the way, I can't say I blame you; that place seems boring as all hell. So he had me come by to grab you, since he had to take care of something last minute, turns out a Pro-Hero's work is never done. Especially, when they have the balls to go after his only daughter." Burnin answered back regarding Endeavor being called to handle a group of B-Rank villains who had been going on a killing spree across east-end Tokyo; forcing him to double back
"I didn't care much for being at Aldera in retrospect. That place wasn't the kindest place to go to school at." Was Izuku's only response
"Take it from someone whose done the song and dance of being at high school already. Those people there aren't worth your time to begin with, half of them are gonna peak once graduation hits." Burnin said back as she slapped a hand on his shoulder
"So trust me when I say, those fuckers you had deal with aren't anything to sweat! Hell, I bet that half of them have shitty Quirks, the other half are gonna work at a Burger King, and a another chunk stuck in their parents' basement all day. Meanwhile, your gonna come out being a top hero in no time!" Burnin told the green-haired Psyker
"That does make me feel a bit better. Right now, I will be happy to do almost anything to get my name out there and work towards being a Pro-Hero." Izuku replied
"Lucky for you, the big-boss can make that happen." Burnin told the green-haired Psyker
And soon enough within a few minutes of waiting did Endeavor albeit slightly beaten up had soon flown towards the home of the Midoriya's wherein after he deactivated his flames, both as a courtesy and to reduce his being a fire hazard in a potentially powerful sidekicks' home. It was from there after Endeavor found a place to sit across from the young Psyker that he got straight to the point in wanting Izuku to join his agency as an intern, and potentially a sidekick should things go well in his stay there.
The flame hero having seen the footage of Izuku's various exploits the past 3 months both in Musutafu and in Esuha City, even with his prototype hero disguise, and as such made the offer in wanting to see his abilities taken to their next level as a potential pro-hero. With Izuku being more than happy go on-board as an intern at the Endeavor Hero Agency, given that it meant he could work alongside one of the greatest heroes in the country and have further means of mastering his Quirk, but there were a few conditions that he wanted met in return.
All of which were rather easy for Endeavor to accommodate, one being that his new friends Toga and Twice could come aboard soon and work at the Hero Agency, another was to have his mothers' rent taken care for the duration of his stay with the Hero Agency, lastly was that he was to write a letter of recommendation for him to attend U.A this year.
"With everything taken into account, I think that this will solidify your internship at my Agency. However, you will be responsible for getting your friends to my agency, so that everything can be put in order for them to work with me." Endeavor told the Psyker
"Understood, and don't worry I will make sure that they get to your agency on time. I want to make sure that everyone around me can rise along with me, in anyway possible I can make that happen." Izuku said to the flame hero
"As long as they are capable and can do as needed, then I care not for their background or what there Quirk does." Endeavor replied before straightening himself out
"That being said, what do you plan to do going forward? Understand that while my Agency is more than willing to support you at U.A as a sponsor, I am within my right to do so to ask why you choose to do what you have done so far. Your actions while impressive, border on being that of a vigilante even if you are a incredibly powerful one." Endeavor asked curious as to what and why Izuku was doing all of this with his powers
"It is only because I want to be a hero. That is all that I have ever wanted to do since I was a child, all I could think about when I was growing up until I was able to awaken my Quirk; was simply how I could go about using my Quirk to help others, and how I could beat back villains from causing unneeded harm. As such I have done everything possible including having to be a vigilante of sorts, because there are people who need help and I cannot wait on the hero commission to grant me my license to do so. Neither can I wait on a Pro-Hero to come to the rescue, their attentions are spread elsewhere and the risk of having them go from one scene to the next and lives lost in the interim is unacceptable. That is why my intentions are as they are, to protect, defend and if possible grant retribution to those lives that couldn't be saved." Izuku answered back in his explanation of why he did as he did in his training with his Quirk and fighting against villains
"That is a good answer and reason to have. Honestly, I could not have worded it or said it better myself…It is nice to see that there are people who are willing to get there hands dirty to do what needs to be done." Endeavor said with a notable smirk at Izuku's answer
"Of course, being a hero means that you are willing to protect and defend people from villains no matter what. As long as lives are saved and people are kept protected, then whatever measure of force is needed to detain and if necessary eliminate those who threaten the safety of others; I will do so immediately." Izuku replied
"Good to know, young man. However, I do have one other question to ask you." Endeavor said to the young Psyker
"What is it, Mr. Endeavor?" Izuku questioned
"How do you feel about, All-Might?" Was the response of the Flame Hero
"I respect and even look up to him, as he was the inspiration for my wanting to be a hero. However, after coming into my Quirk and a few other recent events that have happened. I no longer want to be a hero like him, I wish to be better than him, I wish to be stronger than him, and show that I can become a hero greater than All-Might was…No matter what it takes, that is my one true goal at this moment." Izuku responded whilst his eyes glowed began to glow with the brightness of a sun
"Hmmm, with a resolve like that, I have no doubt that you will do exceptionally well in my Agency. I will be expecting quite a lot from you, Midoriya." Endeavor spoke liking where Midoriya's head was at
'And he will be just exactly what I need to give Shoto the push in the right direction. With a mindset like that, all he needs is a few pushes here and there and either way. I will have my dream of surpassing All-Might realized one way or another.' Were the Flame-Hero's thoughts as he shook hands with Izuku in welcoming him aboard the Endeavor Hero Agency
"One last thing, or rather 2 things before you go, Mr. Endeavor. Will I be paid for my time as your intern?" Was Izuku's last question
"Of course, I will not have the time of anyone who works for me be wasted. As such, I will have Burnin contact you later about getting an account set up; during your tenure at our office...Now then what is the 2nd thing you have to ask me at this time?" Endeavor answered back
"Why would you take a chance on me, Mr. Endeavor? I know that my Quirk is really powerful and that I've gone around stopping villains and all. But I have to ask, why choose me out of everyone?" Izuku questioned the Flame Hero
"It is because, I see a great deal of talent in you, young man. It is also because I know that it is better to see your talents improved upon and grown to their fullest, rather than have them wasted. Especially, when your antics although helpful to many could result in you having gotten into a great deal of trouble. Given that despite your luck in not having been caught, that you are still not even a licensed hero or sidekick for that matter." Endeavor answered back
"...I understand, that what I'm doing is vigilantism. I know that, but I can't just sit by on the sidelines and do nothing...not when I finally have a super awesome Quirk to help people with." Izuku said as he swallowed a large lump in his throat before continuing
"After years of being picked on for being a quirkless Deku, being regarded as the world's most worthless nerd, and even my teachers' telling me that I will be lucky to even get a job at a Wendy's or even a library at best. I just wanted to be a superhero, I watch so many other heroes go out and help people, that for once I wanted to prove to myself that I'm not a worthless Deku; that now that I have a Quirk and a really strong one too; that I can be something worth people's time and attention. That I can help people who need it when other Pro-Heroes can't get there in time to stop criminals and villains...I've done the math and have accounted for the time it takes most heroes and police to respond to villain attacks, its part of the reason how I've gotten away with everything thus far." Izuku told the Flame Hero in regards to his reasons for doing as he's done these past few months
'I'll give credit where it's due, this kid isn't just a powerhouse but wildly intelligent to account for those factors as well.' Were Endeavor's thoughts before continuing
"Luckily enough, vigilantism isn't looked upon as badly as it used to be. I have worked hard alongside a few other Pro-Heroes both current and former; to have it be looked upon more favorably. There are things out there that Pro-Heroes cannot fight readily at all times young man. Which like you are villains and criminal syndicates; that we cannot account for. Which is why, I have spent the last 15 years to make it so that Vigilantes have more autonomy within the law to handle things heroes cannot...We are 2 halves of one whole, and it never made quite enough sense to me as to why we would punish them for doing what needs be done so harshly." Endeavor told the green-Psyker
"I know, as Lady Nagant was and still is an activist for Vigilantes and their being reintegrated into Hero society, as well as leading a program for vigilantes to work alongside heroes on more dangerous operations." Izuku spoke knowing about Endeavor being key to vigilantes being recognized as some more 'positive in the eyes of the people
"I see that you've done your homework...and you are right about that. Given that I have had to work alongside a number of known vigilantes to handle a number of incidents that have happened across the country and abroad...Incidents that have had me fight against things just as dangerous if not moreso than All for One himself." Endeavor replied his tone of voice shifting to a more grim one
"What could be more dangerous than All for One?" Izuku queried
"To put it simply, those dangers I have had to face over my Hero career are a key reason as to why I campaign; for vigilantes to be recognized more favorably. We cannot be picky about those that had chosen to fight off evil in all its forms...Especially when those forms can cause havoc that will make what All for One did look like a day at the amusement park." Endeavor responded as his mind flashed back to the times he had to fight those wretched abominations from beyond the stars
After all, one such as Endeavor never could forget having to fight off things that would break a lesser man; those abominations that would blast his comrades both Hero and Vigilante alike with what could only be described at witchcraft, daemons that wielded vicious weaponry and not only fought with an otherworldly fury but screamed and chanted in the name of their blasphemous blood god. All in addition to such horrors so debaucherous and so profanely lustful; that the Flame Hero could only rage at the fact that such lewd abominations existed and that even with his Quirk he couldn't make the water hot enough to scrub the filth from his body after they would try to one part kill and another part seduce him into the worship of what they called their master in the Prince of Pleasure.
As such in all of his experiences fighting such creatures that would attack with sorcery beyond imagining, bloodthirsty rage that made most villains seem tame, and ungodly agility as well as debaucherous elegance in their foul ways; that Endeavor knew that from those events forward that employing heroes would not be enough. Therein he would use his growing influence as a Pro Hero to help make sure that Vigilante's; those that had the stomach to fight against these abominable wretches would be able to do so without harsh repercussions as they would fight against villlains in that same aspect as well; which inevitably led to his being a key component in the fight for vigilante's to be seen as a positive aspect in hero society.
"That is a lot to take in, to be completely honest...I didn't think it was possible for their to be anything more dangerous than one of All Might's archvillains." Izuku spoke regarding the fact that dangers are more sinister than All for One could exist
"That is more than understandable, young man. However, that being said your actions are a large reason as to why I want you to intern for me. Both to help see your potential fully realized; and to make sure that you are not unjustly punished for doing what is needed to fight against villainy; as it is needed." Endeavor told the green-haired Psyker
"I appreciate you doing this for me, Mr. Endeavor. You have my word that I will not let you down." Izuku swore to the Flame Hero
"Good, I expect many great things from you during your internship. In the meantime, Moe here will see to it, that all of your needs you have during your internship are met. She is my right-hand and one of most trusted sidekicks at my agency." Endeavor informed him as he rose to begin leaving the Midoriya household
"Don't worry, Midoriya. We'll make sure your all taken care of! Just message me, when your free and we can get all that stuff squared away in no time!" Burnin told the green-haired Psyker as she and her boss proceeded to soon leave the Psyker's home
'Not only am I getting better with my powers, but now I have an internship with the #2 hero as well…Things really are looking up for me.' Were the thoughts of a hopeful Izuku
(6 hours later, 8:00 Pm, Ynnead's Dream)
Meanwhile, in the reaches of the greater galaxy Yvraine was talking with both Eldrad and Lilith Hesperax on what she had witnessed days ago, this among the visions that Eldrad had had recently called for a meeting of those aboard.
"So let me get this straight. You wish to hunt down a human boy, who is somewhere out there across the greater galaxy. Who might be able to help with Yvraine's plan to kill Slaanesh?...Am I not the only one who finds this a stretch even by our kinds' standards?" Lilith Hesperax questioned
"While I would be normally inclined to agree with you, Lilith. I cannot refute what Yvraine has brought to the table as it were, given that a boy was able to fly through the raw Warp itself and not die within seconds, is no small feat by itself. Not to mention, that her description matches that of the one who has been present in my and many other Farseers visions." Eldrad answered back
"And what do these visions entail, Farseer?" Was the Query of the Drukhari assassin
"Visions wherein this young man not only comes to our aid in many a battle. But ones where he fights alongside us against the Daemon Primarch of Slaanesh, ones where we fight together alongside Rouboute Guilliman against the forces of Horus Lupercal's sons, and ones where his strength alongside ours…Allows us to butcher the corrupted sons of Fulgrim and even free the gods of old from She Who Thirsts." Eldrad informed the assassin as well as Yvraine
"And you are certain of this? While I have no doubt that we can overcome Fulgrim's Primarch whore. The fact that he will allows us to fight alongside a resurrected Guilliman and free the gods from Slaanesh's grasp, sounds far fetched." Lilith Hesperax questioned the wizened Farseer
"I am, and I will stake my power and strength within the Warp on it. This young man may be our key to defeating Slaanesh, and perhaps even gaining us closer to awakening the god of death in the Materium." Eldrad replied
"Which is why we have called you here, Lilith. Of everyone gathered you are by far the most skilled at tracking their targets down. Not even the Harlequin for all their cunning can defy you in that regard." Yvraine spoke knowing that if anyone could lead them to the green-haired Psyker it would be Lilith
"While I will not deny tis fact, there is one problem with my task…Where would I even begin to search for this boy? From my understanding he was not Imperial, nor was he of any of the other worlds within it. In addition to that, why haven't any of our Psykers or the Craftworld seers under Eldrad's command able to track him. With the supposed strength he wields, finding him shouldn't be too hard a task." Lilith Hesperax questioned in both ends of how she was supposed to track down this Psyker in green
"That is another problem we have run into as of late…Normally, the scrying of others to track their location would be a non-issue. However, this particular boy thus far has proven difficult to track even with my strength as a Psyker." Eldrad informed the Drukhari
"Difficult in what manner?" The infamous assassin asked
"Difficult to the point where continued efforts have risked our Infinity Circuits to overload from the effort. I do not know if it is a conscious or unconscious effort, but their defense against tracking them through the Immaterium has proved an arduous challenge…It is almost as though the Warp itself is actively shielding them from our purview to some extent." Eldrad informed Lilith who had a look of utter surprise upon hearing this information
"Which is why we need your help to track whoever this boy is. If he is strong enough that even an Infinity Circuit risks being overcome from sustained efforts. Then his psychic strength is not only nothing to be taken lightly, but further lends credence to his being an asset we much seek out. Especially, if our plans are to rise to fruition." Yvraine spoke regarding the young Psyker in question
As to overload a Infinity Circuit for of countless Soulstones was nothing if not no mere feat to accomplish, for it was something that the strongest of Aeldari Psykers and even some that were the strength of the Anathema himself, the Primarch of the 15th Legion and the Sigilite could accomplish. So to have someone who wasn't even a fully-grown adult do this was something that could not be ignored, for Yvraine knew that if they could have this young Psyker harness his strength properly then in time their plans to kill She Who Thirsts could be fully realized.
"Very well then, but I cannot guarantee that this will be a swift mission. Given that if I am able to find him, and he does resist…it will not be an easy task whatsoever. Which begs the question of if you wish him to be brought in unharmed if I cannot convince him to join willingly." Lilith Hesperax questioned
"We would appreciate it, if he is to be unharmed. However, if you are unable to do so then you are free to use force to restrain and bring him alive. But under no circumstances are you to torture him or his loved ones, the last thing we need is to harm someone close to him under the threat of coercion. Then the next thing we know we have an inexperienced yet massively powerful Psyker furious with us, and before we know it reality itself as well as the Warp is crashing down upon us." Eldrad answered back in wanting this to go over as smoothly as possible
"Very well, any other stipulations?" Lilith Hesperax questioned
"No, that is all, Lilith. You are more than welcome to take as much time as needed to find the boy. Once you do, contact Yvraine or myself and we will do our part to convince him to join the fold of the Ynnari." Eldrad answered back as the Succubus nodded before heading off to prepare for her hunt
"Tell me Eldrad, even if we manage to convince this boy to join our cause. How long do you think we will have before the Imperium comes to snatch him from us? I doubt they will hold for long before they jump at the chance to have a Psyker that wields a level of power that has yet been seen since the Heresy." Yvraine asked the long-lived Farseer who let out a wearisome sigh
"Honestly, it is hard to say. On one hand we may have enough time to prepare and warn him of the Imperium's venomous fangs and corruption; that has spread throughout it's bloated carcass like a cancer. Which would grant us a powerful boon to defend ourselves against the Imperium and their Marines if needed." Eldrad answered back
"Yet on the other side of that same coin, should the Imperium grow wise to the idea that a Psyker who wields powers near unfathomable; is out of there reach. Then it would only be a matter of weeks if not months before they focus their attention toward having him under their thumb. The best case scenario being that they attempt to feed them to their corpse emperor in order to permanently stave off the inevitable death of what is coming." Eldrad further spoke regarding the opposite end of the spectrum
"And what of the worst case scenario, Eldrad? I almost shudder to think of the alternative if THAT is the best case." Yvraine queried
"The worst case scenario, is that they indoctrinate them into their Xenophobia and zealous worship of that golden plated corpse. Then before we know it, we are met with a zealot that can bend reality to their whim as childs' play, scorch entire planets to ash as they so please, and cause calamities that can bring entire worlds into their compliance. That isn't even to think if they manage to transform him into one of their dreaded Astartes to further increase his strength." Eldrad answered back in a bit of genuine fear at the thought of such a thing being turned towards them at the Imperium wishes
"As someone who has lived through the Great Crusade and the Horus Heresy, and witnessed the strength of what the Imperium can unleash when they truly focus their strength into something greater. That if the Imperium gets this boy into their fold, and focuses their efforts into weaponizing him as their Ceramite-cladded fist to destroy their enemies. Then they will have a monster that can rival most Legions in sheer strength alone." Eldrad further spoke
"...Then it is imperative that we get to him before the Imperium finds out who this boy is. If they manage to get ahold of him, and have him join their side willingly or through coercion. Then we can forget about fighting against Slaanesh all-together, as the Imperium will be a new level of insufferable." Yvraine replied in agreement
"Indeed, we keep the secret of this Psyker to ourselves. In fact, we may need to press our knowledge of how to awaken Guilliman further. Given that having the Imperium indebted to us for resurrecting one of their Primarchs will more than keep things in our favor…We cannot allow the scales to tip into their favor too much, Yvraine." Was the Farseers' response
"If this is to be, then the future of the Ynnari will be an interesting one. But one that if all goes accordingly seems to be exceedingly bright." Yvraine said hopeful of the future to come for not only the Ynnari but the Aeldari overall
"As am I, yet we must remain cautious and prudent of what may be. The future for once is an uncertain and turbulent one. Therefore, we must remain vigilant…otherwise the future of the Aeldari remains damnation to Slaanesh." Was the Farseer's words as he looked into the starry void cautious of the future ahead of him, the Ynnari and the uncertainty of freedom from She Who Thirsts
'I can only hope to the old gods and Ynnead that this boy will truly be the key,to ending our peoples' eternal damnnation. Otherwise, we may as well welcome oblivion with open arms.' Were Eldrad's thoughts as he once again felt the weight of so many centuries beginning to crush him
And so with Izuku continuing to master who immense psychic powers and even acquire the power of flight to his ever expanding psionic arsenal of abilities, to even gaining an internship by the Flame Hero himself and further chance to broaden his skillset as a hero to be. Yet we also see the Ynnari now sending the infamous Lilith Hesperax to track down and potentially capture Izuku to join their side, to aid them in their endeavors against She Who Thirsts. The question being as Izuku strives to master and experience the strength of what he can do as a Psyker, can the Ynnari convince him to join them before the Imperium finds out about his immense might in the Immaterium? Stay tuned and see in the all-new installments of, My Psyker Academia!

Now then to the reviews from the previous Chapter.
Kourtney Uzu Yato: (Chapters 2-3): Also, Fulgrim's fighting against him being a puppet of Slaanesh will come into play in future chapters, and who knows we may just see the Phoenician return to the Imperium proper alongside his brothers down the line. Also, with Izuku being on the good side of Burnin' and Mirko; it will open up a good number of doors for him down the line, given that with Burnin it leads to him doing a summer internship under Endeavor and being taken under his wing so to speak. Also, in regards to Bakugou; Izuku wouldn't leave him Quirkless as to him he's more to wanting to see Bakugou at his biggest and baddest possible, because to him he wants to make it so that when they clash that there is no doubt that Izuku can prove without a doubt that even as a 'late bloomer' that he was worth more than anything that Bakgou could crush. As such Izuku's attitude in realizing that he was toxic towards him throughout their growing up, and that he's actually better than him will come into play down the line...because oh boy do I have a lot planned in regards to him unintentionally showing Bakugou that he's better than him by a wide mile. Oooohhh, trust me we'll eventually get to seeing that he's stronger than All Might soon enough given that his Psychic Awakening was hailed as him becoming a 2nd Anathema to Chaos, so believe me when I say that as it stands Izuku is just winding up. Lastly, glad you liked all the nice little things that Izuku did for his mom on Chirstmas as I couldn't help but not do it; as we gotta give Mama Midoriya her flowers when possible.
Skull Flame: He won't be wracking up avoidable casualties left and right, as his taking notes from Endeavor is more in regards to him realizing that his power is doing what must be done to save as many lives as possible; given that from Endeavor it is a matter of 'having and gaining as much strength as possible to save as many lives as possible' ideals of heroism. Especially given the fact that as Endeavor will be getting at across the story and from what he's hinting at...Chaos has been on planet before and as such he's had to work alongside a good number of heroes and vigilantes to supress the threats of Ruinous Powers. Also, you've pretty much nailed it in regards to how Toga and Twice are as friends for Izuku, given that if he did need that sort of thing done; all he would need to do is shoot a text message and they would be ready immediately to make it happen. Also, I'm glad you liked the gifts he gave them for Christmas.
Sgt117:I hope you're ready for more Shenanigans from Imperium, Aeldari, and Chaos abound, also I hope that Endeavor being a mentor does open up things on why Vigilantism isn't looked upon as harshly as it is in canon; given that with what he's had to deal with. It's caused him to actually work towards making Vigilante's being seen more positively overall to help combat the forces that be from beyond if you know where I'm going. Also, expect Izuku from hereon to be taken under Endeavor's wing so to speak.
