-after a while of tracking-
The group paused after a while hearing laughter, quickly they snuck over in their normal forms to see a camp in the darkest part of the forest, a bunch of jackals were crowded around the campfire laughing in amusement though they couldn't see what they were laughing about.
"Spying?" someone asked from behind.
Quickly they whirled around to see a jackal standing there staring at them, gold eyes flaring a bit.
Suddenly several jumped out and took hold of them before dragging them to the others who stopped and looked to see the four struggling hedgehogs, once in front of Infinite the lead werewolf the four were pushed down to their knees.
"Trespassing on our land now are we?" Infinite asked, standing on his hind legs. "Oh not a dull moment with your family."
"Where is our fairy?" Mephiles demanded.
"Your fairy? Ha, no he is not yours anymore." Infinite smiled evilly.
"Then let us see him." Shadow snarled.
"Fine but if you so much as touch him we will tear you to shreds without a second thought." Infinite growled, waving his hand.
Another jackal trotted over and dropped what it had in its teeth.
The four looked down at what was dropped and they found it to be Sonic who struggled to his hands and knees, he had several scratches in which were bleeding and he seemed quite exhausted.
Sonic stared blankly at the ground till he sensed something different and he looked over to see the same hedgehogs as before, startled he jerked to the side and backed away his ears pinning back as he shook his head slightly but suddenly felt claws grab him by the scruff and yanking him up into the air causing him to squeak in terror and curl up a bit.
"You know this fairy makes quite a fun toy for my clan, I think I will keep him alive at least just long enough to see you four starve to death." Infinite mused.
"W-what do you m-mean?" Sonic whimpered.
"Why don't you know? vampires can't survive more than a few days without drinking one's blood." Infinite asked, putting a sharp claw to the hoglet's throat. "But another dilemma is they cannot drink anyone else's blood after getting a taste of someone's blood, that is why they came for you just as I suspected they are after their precious life source."
Sonic shuddered and glanced at the group before looking back at the werewolf tears stinging at his eyes.
"Yes that is correct, and you just threw your whole life away by surrendering to save the lives of those pitiful vampires who were only after your blood so they could survive." Infinite said.
"B-but they d-different.. Th-they w-were.." Sonic trailed off, looking down.
"They were what?" Infinite pressed, clearly amused.
"Th-they w-were.." Sonic tried again, his body trembling as tears slipped down his cheeks. "Th-th-they w-were.. M-my family."
"Your family? Ha, what a joke!" Infinite laughed. "They aren't your family little freak, they are selfish vampires who never truly cared about you; they only kept you alive and cared for you so they had their taste of blood to survive."
"N-no.. i-its not true!" Sonic squeaked in outrage.
"Don't believe me? Then ask them yourself." Infinite snapped, shoving the hoglet towards the hedgehogs who sat there on their knees.
Sonic looked up at them, his heart racing a bit in worry. "I-its n-not true i-is it?" he asked quietly.
The four glanced at each other before looking back at the hoglet who looked so terrified and heartbroken it was horrible.
"We are sorry Sonic but it is true, we were only wanting your blood nothing more." they admitted, watching the hoglet tear up.
Sonic's ears dropped in even further depression and he curled up more his hands now over his eyes as he let his tears loose.
The four watched the little fairy cry and they felt a bit guilty for they did not realize the only reason why Sonic wanted to stay was because he wanted a family one that would take care and love him like he was their own, but they didn't know they were only after the fairies blood.
"You see hedgehog, they do not care about your sorry hide." Infinite pointed out, before signaling to his pack. "They lied to us both, and now they will pay for it."
Sonic watched helplessly as they dragged the four hedgehogs away and tied them up with double guard, he was then given to the other werewolves who continued their little game of how many knives or other sharp things he could dodge before getting cut.
