-few months later-

Sonic clung to a thick flower stem, his mind racing in terror.

"Oh Sonic.. Where are you?" Darkspine called.

"Come on out little fairy, we ain't going to hurt you." Fleetway lured.

Sonic pinned his ears knowing they were trying to trick him but he knew better, getting an idea he quickly got out of the flower vase and jumped down onto the table carefully peeking around to see Fleetway searching the table trying to find him, being very quiet he looked around the other side and saw Darkspine doing the same as Fleet.

Taking a breath Sonic ran over in a blur and hid behind the pot that he flew to the top of with a spoon in hands, he quickly got some and flew away before turning and getting set, he then dived and catapulted the chili on the spoon where it hit Fleetway on top his head.

"Air assault!" Fleetway called out pointing at Sonic who got another bite and did the same to Darkspine.

"Quick evasive maneuvers!" Darkspine responded, taking two spoons and flinging bites at Sonic who dodged and counter flung.

"Hey fairy dodge this!" Fleetway shouted to the hoglet who looked over to see a dinner roll flying fast towards him.

Quickly Sonic dove down narrowly avoiding the giant bread boulder that just barely brushed against his feet as he went down, getting dangerously close to the table he quickly spread his wings and flapped hard keeping from hitting the table.

He let out a sigh of relief for he was just an a centimeter away from hitting the table though his relief was short lived when he remembered he was in the middle of a food fight war and he was in shooting range, realizing the truth he slowly looked both ways to see Fleet and Dark both had a bite ready to fire on their spoon-apults.

"Oh.. fairy dust." Sonic muttered, looking back straight ahead as the two fired, hitting him directly causing him to fall down.

"Do you three insist on having a food fight every night?" Shadow asked, casually wiping some chili out of his quills.

"It fun." Sonic giggled, struggling to get up only to fall back down into the mess.

"It's messy." Shadow corrected.

"I think it's fun to test our catapulting skills." Darkspine chuckled.

"And when exactly is it useful to have food throwing skills?" Shadow queried, raising a brow.

"Now." Fleetway answered, throwing a spoon of chili at Shadow who didn't dodge in time.

"Fleetway.." Shadow growled, standing up. "I'm gonna end you!"

"Not if you can't catch me." Fleetway snickered, shifting to a bat that flew away.

"Come back here you coward!" Shadow shouted, also shifting to a bat that chased after Fleet.

Sonic watched them go and shaking his head slightly again tried to get up only to slip and fall back onto his stomach.

Mephiles chuckled slightly and picked Sonic up by the scruff before going the sink where he washed the tiny thing off, Sonic struggled against it but it was pointless so he just gave in and allowed the gray hedgehog to clean him off, once washed Mephiles dried the hoglet till he was fluffy and dry again.

"There you go, little one." Mephiles said, gently stroking the hoglets quills.

Sonic giggled and flew up where he landed on Mephiles' shoulder, he then perched himself there and sat patiently as Mephiles went over and started to clean up the table along with Darkspine, when they finished they went to the living room where they sat down to wait for Shadow and Fleetway.

Sonic climbed up to the top of the couch where he watched the two bats fight near the ceiling, confused he tilted his head watching as Shadow gained the upper hand, finally they stopped and flew over where they shifted back to normal and sat down to catch their breath, anticipating what was next Sonic slid down and climbed up onto Mephiles' chest where he looked up into the light green eyes that watched him intently.

"Now?" Sonic asked, holding onto the patch of white fluffy fur on Mephiles's chest.

"Alright then might as well get it over with for the day." Mephiles nodded.

Sonic smiled and turned around where he jumped onto Mephiles' hand, the others then gathered around before each nuzzled the little hoglet goodnight and Sonic returned the gesture.

"Sleep tight little one." Mephiles smiled, nuzzling the hoglet who giggled and hugged him or kind of anyway.

Sonic was then handed off to each one who drank a bit of his blood just enough to satisfy themselves till the next day, they were only a bit more then half vampire so they only needed a swallow to keep them going and Sonic was just lucky he had a very fast pulse so it didn't take long to regain the blood lost though it always made him pass out afterwards but he didn't care he did this to help them survive and he was more than happy to do so because he loved them and he found this to be rather soothing for some reason but of course he was immortal like them so he could not die from this he had gotten used to pain years ago so this was wasn't new.

"Love you.." Sonic murmured, falling into unconsciousness.

"Love you two little fairy." they replied, watching him go limp. "See you soon."

Sonic closed his eyes the last thing he felt was the comfort of them healing his wounds making him relax and go completely limp, a faint smile on his face as he fell fast asleep in their hands.
