Kagome sighs as she watches her husband close the door in front of her.

Yes, she knows he has to work five days a week in the office. However, a wife can only go without seeing her husband for so long.

Especially when that husband is Inuyasha.

She walks into the kitchen to lay out some utensils to make something to eat. She may as well cook lunch for herself, since Inuyasha won't be home with dinner until around seven or eight.

Kagome picks up her phone from the island table, plugging it in on a smaller part of the counter by the oven as she cooks.

She hums to herself as she cuts up the ingredients to make a small helping of Kenchinjiru.

After she pours the broth, along with the vegetables into the soup, she throws it on the oven top to boil through the produce to cook it fully.

After a minute of sitting in front of the oven, tending to the soup, she hears her phone begin to ring.

She smiles, hoping in a way that it's her husband calling to tell her she doesn't have to go in after all, however she shakes the thought out of her head, knowing that is probably not the case.

She picks up the phone, looking at the contact name calling her.

"Sango?" Kagome questions to herself before answering. "Hello?"

"Hey girl, what's going on?" Sango says cheerfully into the mic.

"Nothing much. Inuyasha had to go to work today, so I'm over here making some soup." Kagome explains, before stirring the soup up some more.

"Yeah, Miroku had to work today, too. I have a question for you, however I'm not sure if over the phone is where I wanna ask it. However, are you free to where I can come over?" Sango gives her a light laugh.

"Umm, I mean yeah, I'm free at the moment? Is everything okay?" Kagome questions a bit over her friends strange behavior.

"Oh everything is fine, I'll be over in five okay? I'll let you eat, and then we'll go from there!"

Kagome smiles a bit. It may be good for her to get some time with her friend once in a while. "Okay, I'll see you in a minute!" Kagome smiles, hanging up the phone.

She pics up a small spoon taking the contents. Using her best judgement, she decides it's done, putting it in a bowl, sitting on the kitchen counter.

She eats the soup fairly quickly, as she only made a smaller helping of it. She just finished her last bite as she hears the doorbell ring.

Kagome smiles, walking over to the front door, opening it.

"Hey! Sorry for coming so uninvited!" Sango smiles.

Kagome gestures her inside, before closing the door behind them. "You have a spare key to my house, do you really have to be sorry for being uninvited?" Kagome laughs a bit, walking over to the island to pick up her bowl to wash it out.

"You have a point there, sister! Whatcha eating?"

"Ate." Kagome laughs. "It was a soup I found in a cookbook that me and Inuyasha got for our wedding. It was very good, however I only made a small helping. I don't wanna get too overstuffed. Inuyasha's picking up a big dinner for us tonight."

Sango nods. "Sounds like fun! You two certainly are more of the "lively" couple."

Kagome let's put a giggle. "We…try to, Sango. You and Miroku are just as normal as ever….I mean how's your pregnancy?"

Sango smiles, rubbing her bump. "Eh, seven months and still going! It is wearing me down now, and all I can think about is meeting the girls. Twins must've been on Miroku's side. I would've never thought I'd be carrying around two of them!"

"Must've been a shocker for you! However…if you remember the father is Miroku…"

Sango laughs. "He's…full of surprises for sure. Oh, that's actually kind of a reason I came over here! I needed to ask you something!"

Kagome nods, looking at her friend, taking a seat next to her. "Yeah?"

"Well…tomorrow is…"

Sango smiles. "Thank you! Me and Miroku wanted to do something together, but with my appetite and my weight right now, moving around to go eat in places isn't very…comfortable. I mentioned I could handle it for a night, but he insisted I stay home…so I wanted to do something for him…and I need to to come with me to get him something!"

Kagome smiles. "Aww, Sango, I'd love to! What are you thinking?"

The young brunette blushes. "Well, you know my husband so…I wanted to get him something he would particularly like…seeing me in?"

Kagome blushes a bit. "Oh!"

"But I'm huge and I don't even know if anything will fit me…I don't even know where to look for something like that…one of my coworkers to try a place called Hotmilk. They have regular sized and maternity sized lingerie…but I don't know…"

Kagome smiles. "Why don't we go? I'll help you find something! A cute purple would look great on you! Or a pink! We should go see, I'm sure he'd enjoy that!" She laughs a bit.

Sango smiles, nodding. "Thank you, sorry for dragging you out of your house, it's cloudy out…so gloomy!"

Kagome smiles, pulling on her shirt. "Sweater weather! Let's go! It'll be fun!" She pulls on some boots, grabbing her purse before walking over to the door with her friend in tow.

Sango pulls out her keys, before hopping in her SUV.

"Wow, nice!" Kagome smiles, turning on the heating seats.

She begins to back out of the driveway, before getting onto the main road out of the neighborhood. "I call those heated seats a blessing. They work wonders for the pregnancy back cramps.

Kagome smiles. "I'm sure. Ugh, with two kids kicking you? How do you do it!"

"Eh, dealing with Miroku is worse than this! Besides, what about you and Inuyasha?" Sango smiles.

"What about us?"

"Well…" Sango begins. "Have you guys thought about kids?"

Kagome blushes a bit. "I won't say we haven't been trying, but…"

Sango smiles. "It took me and Miroku months. I wouldn't stress, it'll happen in due time. I'm sure you guys are busier than me and Miroku are."

Kagome nervously brushed through her hair. "I mean…I don't think anyone can keep up with Miroku, but…you know…"

Sango laughs. "Wait…what if you get something?"

"At the store?!"

"Yeah, I mean…don't you think Inuyasha may like something like that?"

Kagome looks away embarrased. "I don't know if he'd like that…I mean…I don't even know if he's the lingerie type…I've never…"

Sango looks over at for for a split second. "You've never worn anything in front of him? At all?!"

Sango laughs. "Oh, hun, we're getting you something!"

The tall brunette walks into the building, before being greeted by a worker.

Kagome points to the changing rooms. "You should go try it on!"

Sango gives her a look. More of a mischievous look. "Okay, but first, we need to find you something for your hubby."

Kagome whines. "You know I hate this…I'm not the thinnest person in the world…and…"

Sango looks at her and back down to her stomach. "I look like I should be on one of those weight shows, and you're saying you're too fat? Hun, your husband loves you, right?"

"Well…yeah…"

"Than there's nothing to worry about! You know your size in bra or panties! You won't even have to try it on. You can save it for home."

Kagome smiles. "Okay, but you have to check in out for me.

Kagome let out a small giggle. "I know, no one likes work love, but you do have to go! Besides, you're like one of the big guys, so you get to boss people around."

Inuyasha looks at her. "Hey now, I don't boss anyone around. I mean I am a boss, but you know…"

Kagome laughs a bit at his words. He's never been good with them, but his actions show all she needs to know. "I know what you mean, Yasha." She smiles, finishing her plate.

Inuyasha looks at her. "Well, you sure finished that fast! Did you starve yourself all damn day?"

Kagome shakes her head. "No, I did have some soup a bit after you left, but then I went running around with Sango for a bit today, so I guess I lost track of time."

Inuyasha nods, before taking a few last bites of food, swallowing. "Fun, what did you guys do?"

Kagome blushes a bit. "Nothing much, just went around shopping for her. It's their anniversary tomorrow, so Sango wanted to go get him something."

Inuyasha looks at her. "Oh shit, I totally forgot. I can't believe it's been…what…four years already?"

Kagome smiles. "Yeah, I mean it's been one for us, so that makes sense, right?"

Inuyasha nods. "Isn't that crazy that it's been that long, but it feels like yesterday?" He stands, throwing their trash out, before walking back over to his wife.

"Yeah, it is kinda crazy…however, there's no body else I'd spend it with." Kagome stands, kissing her husband chastely, before walking in front of him to go up to their room. "Inu? Want me to heat up the bath?"

Inuyasha nods, following her up the stairs. "Yeah, go ahead! I'll get our pajamas from the wash first, then head upstairs."

Kagome nods as she runs upstairs. She goes into the bathroom, sighing as she takes off her clothes.

She answered it quietly. "Hello?"

"Well…he said I was beautiful…and that he loves it on me…he's in the shower right now though, but-" All of a sudden she heard the bath water turn off. "I'm sure he'll be out very soon." Kagome giggles.

"Well, you tell me how it goes." Sango smiles. "Just wanted to see where you shy experimentalists were at with your 'eventful night'…" Sango laughs a bit at her joke. "Have fun you too."

Kagome laughs. "Well, I wish you too luck as well. Have fun guys. Love ya!"

Sango let's put a small giggle. "Bye, Kagome! Have fun!"

Kagome hangs up the phone just as her husband walked out of the bathroom, smiling at her.
