Ruby was walking behind with her arms behind her head Amethyst and Topaz as they were both talking while their character guardians float beside them...
Vivi saw Ruby stop walking and caught sight of something in a tree "why did you stop?" Vivi said raising an eyebrow at Ruby who was still looking up a tree
"There's a kitten up there" Ruby said as Vivi looked up to see the small tabby kitten mewling weakly up in a tree "what of it?" Vivi asked looking back at Ruby
Ruby was still staring at the kitten in the tree "You should catch up to your sisters or you'll be late" Vivi said as she floats beside Ruby coaxing her to just go to school
"Hm..." Ruby frowned as she didn't like the thought of leaving the kitten up there alone and started to roll up her sleeves...Vivi knew this would not end well
Meanwhile...
Ikuto Tsukuyomi the Dark Blue haired boy sighed as he looked at the soulmark that had one day appeared on his wrist out of complete nowhere
He remembered seeking Amu out for some advice to what it possibly might be and he got this answer...
Flashback...
Amu held up a book "from what I can tell, you have a soulmark it represents the personality and or representation of your soulmate...kind of like a Guardian Character I guess"
End of Flashback...
Amu's advice didn't give much comfort to Ikuto as he clenched his bag and looked back at the soulmark Red Heart with Cupid wings and crown
'If I do have a soulmate I hope they don't act arrogant and snobby' Ikuto thought "oh please get down from there your going to get hurt" a voice said
Ikuto's character guardian Yoru pointed out another guardian Character that looked like the queen of hearts "over there" Yoru said as they see Vivi looking up at the tree
"Your clumsy enough to fall please come down" Vivi said again "you worry too much" a voice sounded which sounded like music to Ikuto's ears
Ikuto slowly looked up the tree to see Ruby who was trying to coax a small orange tabby into her arms "come here kitty, it's ok I'm going to get you down" Ruby said softly
Ruby finally got ahold of the kitten but she grabbed onto a loose branch and it broke beneath her making Ruby fall Vivi covered her eyes too scared to watch the fall
Ikuto quickly used his character transformation and rushed to catch Ruby in his arms with the orange tabby kitten in her arms
Ikuto's cat ears disappeared as he looks down at Ruby who opened her eyes in shock "are you alright?" Ikuto asked curiously but Ruby couldn't hear him due to how loud her heart was beating in her chest
"I...I'm fine" Ruby said shyly looking down then saw the kitten in her arms safe and sound "thank goodness your ok little guy" Ruby said petting the kitten who purred in her arms
Ikuto looked at her custom made uniform and recognized it at his school uniform carefully set her down "you need to be more careful" Ikuto said
"I know that...but I did want to leave this little guy in the tree" Ruby said as the kitten was taken from her grasp "you better hurry or you'll be late for school" Ikuto said holding the kitten in his hands
"Oh...I completely forgot...oh do me a favor and bring that kitten to a pet shop" Ruby said as she grabbed her bag and rushed to the direction of school
Ikuto pets the kitten in his hand "how lucky you are to be saved by a young lady like that" Ikuto said as he smiles softly looking in the direction that Ruby left in
Later...
"I'm here..." Ruby said rushing into the classroom "your rather close on the mark" Amethyst said crossing her arms as Ruby chuckled nervously "I'll tell you later" Ruby said rubbing the back of her neck
Ruby thought to herself in class 'Ah I was almost late...I'm lucky to be here on time...but...meeting my first soulmate he seemed really sharp and clever just like a Cat'
