Hi there, fellow readers, This is ChangTheRonin1824 speaking.
I'm starting to write my own One Piece story. I have posted another One Piece story, but I eventually decided to delete it and rewrite a new better version since I've edited and improved my profile and character's bio & settings to fit in better with the plot and everything else.
I apologize for my sudden changes without announcement and thank you for your understanding.
This new version of the One Piece story is inspired by PuzzleMaster1998's HIATUS One Piece story, so huge credits to him for the ideas. The story would be long, but I'll be putting several manga chapters/anime episodes in one chapter with my best. But I still have to warn you that the story have 50% chance contain a harem, and there is a big fat chance that the OC would become an overpowered character and ruined your experience. He would be a normal person and without any exaggeration, but I still have to say this: "Viewer's Discretion Advised" to you readers.
My OC's overall abilities and omnipotent powers were already on him since his stay in the bamboo forest, while Council of Creation would grant him more powers based on his journey in this world.
And finally, if you have any suggestion to talk about, you can send me useful messages so I could improve.
And enough talking, let's start the story. Sit, relax, and prepare enjoying a whole new thrill with some changes throughout the story.
I do NOT own One Piece at all.
In a world where the fantasy of sailing became worldwide, the sea is the main part of the planet, and there are islands all across the world, forming different nations and cultures.
Among them, the ocean is split into four quadrant: East Blue, West Blue, North Blue and South Blue. The quadrants all have an identical trait of pirate gangs sailing with their ships, in hoping of searching the greatest treasure: The One Piece. Which it was the same owned by the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger, where he revealed it to the whole world with his final moment in his day of execution:
"You want my treasure? You can have it! I left everything I gathered together in one place. Now you just have to find it."
Due to this, Roger inspired and started the era known as the age of sailing, where pirates would sail to find One Piece in Laugh Tale, the final destination.
In East Blue, one of the quadrant of the world itself, there is an island named Dawn Island. On that island, there is a village called Foosha Village, a sleepy village with characteristics of several windmills around it. Among the windmills, there's a two-story building on the sign saying "Party's Bar."
That bar is run by the beautiful Makino, a young local woman with dark green hair shoulder-length hair brown eyes. Today, her life, and the whole village's life, as well as the world itself, was about to change forever.
Makino hummed as she prepared to open the bar for the day. She was looking forward to the day, as her loyal customers would walk in and drink to heart's content, and then leave, giving her enough beri's to maybe buy some new clothes or renovate the bar. She had been wanting to expand it a little.
She humming a soft tune as she continued to prep the bar for the day, setting up stools and sweeping the floor. Once she had finished, she went outside to change the sign on the bar from "Closed" to "Open". No sooner had she set foot outside, then something strange happened.
A bright light appeared out of nowhere, causing her to cover her eyes. Then, it disappeared as suddenly it had come, leaving her with the sounds of the ocean and….lights?
Confused, she opened her eyes, and looked to see something which let her eyes widened. There, about 10 feet or roughly 3 meters away from her, was something resembles a giant coffin casket with white line pattern all over the surface, shining a white light. In the middle and center of the coffin's lid, there is a symbol she never seen before: 常, which was also illuminating lights, but in a more divine, and emitting colorful color in still the main white color as a whole.
The whole coffin was showing out an aura of divinity, like it was something out from the heaven itself. As Makino came closer, she could see through the coffin lid and there was a man inside, eyes closed and peacefully lying within as his hands on his stomach, akin to the position of a dead man in a fuernal. She could heard the breathing from that man, slowly, and quietly, like he was in a deep slumber that would never wake up.
The man appeared to be a young lad in the age of emerging adults, maybe 20s. He black hair that shined a handsome black reflected light, and a fixed facial hair that resembled a combination of a mustache and a short black goatee. The man was wearing a set of cloth that resembled a modern 21th Century casuals include a blue shirt with an Asian dragon on it and white hoodie jacket with golden lines on it, white trouser with stripes of blue and green, and a pair of red sneakers.
'who is he?' Makino thought to herself, being very cautious for the sudden unknown coffin and the man sleeping inside. She inspected the coffin, it appeared to be some kind of ancient magical chamber with a seal protecting him. When she putted her hands on the coffin, she could feel as if she was in heaven for a brief moment. She looked over the coffin and the man, and noticed something white attached to the top left of the coffin. She pulled out of the paper while caution of the coffin.
Opening the paper, she read:
To whoever find this coffin and saw the man inside,
This paper only just to inform you. For further information….Put your hand on that symbol, soft and gentle, and you shall learn more about him.
She turned to see that 常 symbol, with curiosity, she putted her hand onto it, soft and gentle.
The moment she did that, a robotic voice sudden sounded out.
"Scanning: Makino of the Foosha Village."
Makino immediately jumped back and scared of it, moving her hand away.
"Identification confirmed, no threat detected. Say: activate the message."
Then, the symbol become brighter for one second, and there was a holographic screen appeared from in it.
The screen played a message formed by a video and a written letter and Makino watched it. First the video showed the head of an old man with bright shining eyes.
"Thank you kind girl for finding this man. I appreciate your kindness." the old man said with a voice of magnetic charm. "Here, is our message to you."
Then, the screen's display shifted in to letters with words on it. Makino read it:
For the kind souls who found him,
This young man is actually an old hermit living in solitary life before, but under our help, he decided to start a new journey and see the beautiful things with his own eyes. We couldn't take care of him because we have our own works to do so and they keep us busy. So please, take care of him, but do NOT release his powerful inner demons at all cost….You do not want to see the end of all life.
Sincerely,
The Council of High Creation.
P.S. His name is Tenjū Ryūsnosuke, but you can also call him "Chang" for short if you want to, which is also his initial name as well. His birthday is at November 11.
After Makino read the messages, she noticed that Chang seemed to smile a little with warm feelings. 'your life will be beautiful." Makino smiled back, knowing she could help the young lad learning new things.
Then, she frowned as thoughts occurred to her. How would she moved the coffin? Where could she place it? If she can carry it and take care of the man inside? And in the mean time, how would she do all of these when she had a business to take care of?
At her thoughts ran through her head, she heard the doors swing open. Makino looked at the coffin that was larger than her hesitated at first, but decided to carry it with her and placed it on the floor behind the counter, hoping no one would notice it. To her surprise, the coffin was feather-weight light.
Looking at around the bar, she saw that her customers were coming in and sitting down at their usual places. There were a few new faces, but most of them were regulars. They were so commonly see here she had already poured them their drinks and set them at their usual seats.
While Makino herself start her day in the bar, Chang while in the coffin was able to awakened his consciousness, regaining his senses and been able to see everything around him while still in the coffin. He saw Makino's hard-work and independent strong heart as a woman; he saw the lively ambience in the bar where the villagers drink and chat with happy thoughts; and he noticed the man who wears a dog mask.
'guess that's him.' Chang who was familiar with the original franchise saw him and knew the guy. But in the mean time, he also gained the fully control and access of the coffin he was in. 'alright, let try this out…."
While Makino had no problems serving the regulars for the usual, those that aren't regulars were a small challenge. They have to order their drinks, and she went around taking up the orders and preparing them. She normally was disturbed by the customers who came in. But she did get a little creeped out by particular customer. A man wearing a dog mask, who spoke briefly, and to the point. She nodded, taking his order down quickly, before quickly making it and giving it to him. She didn't know why, but she felt a bit uneasy around him.
"Hey Makino! More ale here!" A customer yelled at her.
And in this moment, The mysterious coffin floated into the bar without sound, and that's when everybody stopped what they're doing and looking at it.
As soon as the coffin appeared in people's sights, everyone in the bar stopped drinking, chatting or whatever they were doing in the moment. The silent was so obvious that you would thought the world's time stopped in the same time. However, the coffin shined and emitted out the same illuminating light out, and even though it is already day outside the bar, the light from the coffin was enchanting and it covered all inside the bar.
"….What was that?" Someone asked, and like him, everyone had the same feeling of being shocked and scared in the same time.
Makino realized about the message. "I learned from its creators." and proceed to told what she received earlier out loud to everyone in the bar.
That information shook the whole place so much, the people would have exaggerated expression and bulging eyes. However, the coffin was there, and they didn't what it would do next. So, they just heard quietly.
The dog-mask man sat quietly at his place, and ready to take action. But before he could get up from his chair, next thing happen.
"Say: identified several personnel, Foosha Villagers." the same robotic voice from earlier sounded out loud. Chang didn't revealed dog-mask man's true identity, because he wanted to keep a low profile and cause no trouble.
"Whaatt?!" Everyone was shocked, except Makino and the dog-mask man.
"Say: all seals unlocked. Open up and warning: careful of the light."
"The what?"
The next second, the coffin's light patterns started to shift and opening up like a complex AI system, unlocking the seals piece by piece in mere seconds. And after the final seal was unlocked and the that symbol was freed.
"Bang!"
The symbol on the coffin immediately bursted out powerful blinding lights like a flashbang grenade that contains a sun in it. The lights was shoot into the people's eyes, and that burst of light was so powerful, the light came out from the door, from the window which other villagers as well as mayor Woop Slap.
The light only went on for seconds, but to the people in the bar, that was felt like hours and even longer; the blinding light hurt their eyes, and most of them were having a dizziness problem.
When the people regaining their senses and could opened up their eyes….
There was an old man standing in front of them. He wore an old traditional Chinese robe, with black pant, white socks and a pair of black cloth shoes. He had a white hair that was neck-length long and just reaching the shoulders, which was turned into a bun in the back head. Under his old robes he was wearing, he had surprisingly a well-built physique body as the muscles are visible and clear in just eyes you could see the lines. He did has a long white beard which formed by the younger age's mustache and the goatee that resembled an anchor beard at some point, but became longer as it reached pass the neck and it was tidy and clean with smooth care.
The old man stand straight and not moving any muscle, as the light faded away and everything went back to normal...His hands were in the back, and he was showing a feel of not only just an old hermit, but rather, a hidden aura from a true grandmaster, a legend, a living myth, and maybe….a god.
The coffin behind him, after that, shifted and reconstructed in both magic and tech, then floated at behind the back with a short distance, remained still sticking up like a magnet. The coffin somehow become a halo or at least, part of the old man.
The old man, who stood for minutes not minding everyone's shocking expression in the bar, reached out his hand and gave his beard a smooth long touch.
The old man himself was Chang, in his Old Age form.
"...Sorry if I'm causing some troubles and disturbed your happy drinking time." He took a small bow apologizing with sincere heart. His voice was calm yet firm, but it was clear for everyone to heard it in the bar.
Then, he got up. "If possible, please allow me to shift myself."
Chang closed his eyes, took a long deep breathe in through the nose. He paused for seconds, then finally breathed it out. To people's amazement, Chang who was old gradually returned to his youth: black hair and beard, lively face, full of energetic and maturity, and the good old modern casual clothes.
He exhaled out, then proceed to opened up his eyes. He jumped one or two, checking his own body by moving muscles and stretching, which made some cracking sounds due to the bones.
"ahh….That's much better! How I missed being young and pumping up with energy!" Young Age Chang's tone and voice was more containing rebellious and delinquency; arrogant, calming from time to time, a young street punk….
He then turned his head and saw that mask-dog man. Beside that mask, he was also wearing sandals, a tropical shirt, and light colored shorts. The man was Monkey D. Garp, someone who Chang was way too familiar with.
In such a condition, the two different Age Soul Form of Chang would react in different ways: if it was Old Age, then the Old Chang would be calm and kept a low profile, while showing kindness and offer to chat. But in the term of Young Age Chang, it was much opposite.
Young Chang walked toward him, and slammed his hands on the table staring at him, while everyone watched in silence with curiosity.
"Hey, old geezer." He told garp. "I have a request, something you wouldn't refuse, and you couldn't."
Garp raised his head and stared back. Chang's eyes were full of burning fires, his hot-blood soul was pumping him up, his heart is igniting with willpower of a young street delinquent, and what appeared to be a bravado of a daredevil.
"...Sure, what it is?"
Chang leaned forward, and whispered in his ears. "I know you are Garp, father of Monkey D. Long, and grandfather of Luffy. That 'Garp the Fist', renowned Marine Vice Admiral."
Behind the mask, Garp was surprised by such words. He didn't expected a foreigner knew him.
Chang pulled back and stared at him in the eyes. "I'm going, to beat you, in a fist-fight. 1VS1."
….
"...I said this again."
Chang stood back and straight, then he swiftly took off his upper clothing using one hand, revealing his muscles. On his back, theres' a big tattoo covering all over the back, depicting a combination of a mighty golden dragon, a heavenly divine deity, and a mortal figure that highly resembles Young Chang together in Japanese art style. The 常 was in the center, big and large, in pure white while illuminating white-gold lights.
"Allow me to challenge you!"
Everyone was shocked to this sudden battle request, but to Chang himself, it was his nature all the time: He was notorious for skipping classes and destroying university properties, beating up his fellow school mates was more a daily routine and a workout, and he had seen so much that fear forever turned into dust. In other words, it was impossible for Chang to regain the feel of fear by any means.
Garp stood up silently, and both him and Chang formed two different era: On the side of Chang, he represented the younger new era but also as a foreigner that would change everything, completely rewrite the entire story of One Piece; Garp represented the old era, protecting the safety of the world as a Marine hero.
Everybody were too scared in the moment, didn't know how to say. Chang noticed about this, and decide to spoke.
"You know what? Let's fight outside in that grass field, which would be enough to let both of us to move our body freely." Chang told Garp while pointing outside. "Fighting in the bar is pain with limited space and those furnitures, let alone the dudes drinking at the happiest time. Plus…."
He turned his head and shot a look at Makino. Then turned back to Garp.
"It'll be a rude and unforgiven act if I destroyed some pretty lady's property in the village, right?"
When heard this, Makino was surprised. Despite being arrogant, rebellious and daring brave, Chang was still able to showing respect and kindness, aware of the situation.
Garp was silent, then he spoke up. "Alright then, kid, we'll do it your way. But don't get cocky and underestimate my power. Even I'm old…."
He raised up his head, and there was a glimpse of light in his eye behind the mask.
"….I'll still could beat you down."
Chang smiled with confidence, slammed his fist to his palm. "Challenge accepted."
The two walked outside of the bar, and positioned themselves on the field, stood at their ground and prepared for the fight. People in the bar all followed out and became the audiences to witness such a brawl. Then, the audiences all came as the villagers heard the news and came with curiosity.
Chang snapped his finger, and the coffin behind him flew away, then landed not far away from him.
The wind was blowing softly, and the grass made some weak rustling sound. Chang took out some white bandages, and wrapped them on his hands and on the knuckles, a simple bandage arm guards but Chang liked it that way.
Garp remained still, doing nothing.
At last, Chang took out a long head-band, and wrapped it around on his head. The headband's center is a black 常 kanji symbol, with golden sunlight spread out from it.
Chang turned his eyes, cracked his fists and knuckles. "Alright, I'm ready. Time to smash."
He readied his position, control his breathes.
"….Have at thee!" And charged at Garp at a speed so fast the audiences barely keep up.
After a fierce brawl, Chang was lying on the grass while Garp stood. Both unsurprisingly and obviously, Garp was much stronger.
Despite the lost, Chang was still felt the thrill from the fight; he uses up different fight styles and martial arts during the process, from the simple self-taught street brawling to his ultimate, legend style. While Garp just straight up punched Chang with his iron firsts, Chang was more of a technique fighters, fight with different styles and moves like a true martial artist.
Garp was also impressed by Chang, who surprised him as a talented fighter. He looked down at Chang, breathing heavily and lying on the grass, sweating due to used up tons of energy.
"Kid…."Garp spoke up. "Where did you learn those techniques?"
"I...(Gasp), taught myself…with all those styles..."Chang replied while breathing heavily between his voice, still having energy and strength to talk. "I'lve told you...Hah….I grew up started brawling young, and actual combat is always my best teacher...(breathing) here and there."
After recovered a little, Chang got up and sit on the grass field while looking at Garp. "In fact, while I said this, I may have learned a thing or two from you by mere observations and contacting."
Now Garp's eyes were widened. He didn't expect Chang's learning abilities and adaptability were that powerful. This could means, he could have learned his iron fists and some haki basics when they fought.
'this kid could a good potential marine if he don't have that rebellious personality.' Garp thought about it at first. Maybe that young lad could benefits to the justice of the world?
But his mind quickly shifted as he realized something. 'No….He could change his form, from an old man to a young lad as if both were separated….What is he?'
Makino, among the crowds, also heard Chang's words about his learning abilities, and she realized about the message from that coffin:
"Please take care of this old hermit, he have a lot to learn. However, while you're welcome to take care of him, please be full aware and cautious of his power. One wrong action and you let him releasing all his powers at once…this would be the doomsday where all shall turn into dust, and shall all lifeforms gone with that light."
Her eyes widened and was scared what would happen if that come. How would he ended up? Pirate? Marine? Or someone high above all man?
On the other hand, Chang got up and stood his ground, as he and Garp looked at each other while staning just the distance of one arm.
"I lost the fight, fair and square." He told Garp. "But still, I have a request to tell you."
"What is it?"
Chang just stretched out his hand, wanting to shake. "….Please be my temporal guardian for some time."
Garp was silent for a moment, then he sticked out his hand, and shook hands with Chang as both exchange friendship. From an exchange of blows friendship grew when men knew their respective thoughts.
"I could accept your request, but I won't have to watch over you." Garp said. "Still, an old friend of mine could help me."
Chang smiled, "that's fine for me, please lead the way."
Chang followed Garp walking down the island. The hidden potential of this young adult is frightening, as the old man was concerning about him, while dropping some sweat beads on his head that Chang didn't notice.
Chang, while walking, had his own thoughts too. He looked down at his hand that was held into a fist, as he stared and thought about his powers.
'right now my powers sealed with limitations, the Gods of The High Creation told me that it is too dangerous to unlock my full strength. But…on the other hand, my learning powers are also helping me evolving, strengthen me up….Is it a bad thing or a good thing?'
They arrived at where young Monkey D. Luffy was staying. Chang greeted Curly Dadan and introduced himself, while Garp told everything to the so-called local bandits to inform them that they were going to take care of this young man.
At this point, Chang only looked up to the sky, and stared into the unlimited space where he lost in his thoughts….
'….What would I ever become?'
This is the beginning of Chang's story, only as a prequel for the later main plots to continue. Do you think this is a good intro?
Chang would experience and see a lot in his journey, but first, he would need to live with Luffy and possibly, Ace and Sabo in the moment for now.
Later, Chang would meet up a red-hair pirate captain and his crew, which would impact Chang's young burning heart with a passion and daring attitude.
Also, Chang's powers would grow as he progress with the story, and seals that limit his full potential would be eventually unlocked during the most despair times. There will be introductions and appearances where Chang's own original powers would show up, and even Chang's comrades and other familiar person would show up.
Thank you readers for reading, and please review below if you have some words to say.
This is ChangTheRonin1824 finished talking, signing off for now.
