A/N: Voldemort had a loong time to plan his re-takeover of the magical world. You should never give an opponent time, especially when he is known to have cast a curse on Hogwarts of all places.
I scratched down the last symbol carefully, as I had done for the thousands before. I stepped back to admire my work. It was a 12x12x12 cubic meter wardstone, fully covered in runes and connected to the druidic circle below it, which was then connected to a sacrificial ritual's spell circle.
When I took over the pureblood faction, I already knew that most of my power base was very weak and untrustworthy. Thus, I had made contingency plans. I had converted a lot of my wealth into gold bars and stored it in Swiss banks. I had set up a few off-country homes and equipped them with basic and essential items of my main crafts.
Lo and Behold, I had to flee the Isles. Although the situation was entirely unpredictable ( Who the hell would think that they'd be killed by their own Avada?), the preparations did indeed help.
Now, after 11 years of plotting and grueling work, my latest work was complete. It was a remote cursing device, something that used sacrifices as fuel and could curse across continents, let alone countries. It was hard work, what with matching the different runic systems (And accidentally killing myself, again), but now it will pay off.
"Satus, aquaeductus complexionis, pontis mundi", As the magic swirled and the wind picked up, "Par, opus druidum, cor maledictionis", the Cube was now glowing a reddish gold, the Druidic large-scale magic harmonizing with the sacrificial ritual. "Maledica, extrahe sacrificium tuum", The sacrificial circle glowed, a tendril extending and crawling towards me. It crept up my feet and snaked towards my right arm, connecting to the modified Dark Mark.
It glowed, connecting to the other marks. I smirked, ' Those fools didn't think I could use the Mark as an anchor to cast more magic, now could they?'. The Cube glowed with a redder gold than before, before calming down.
The sacrifice was complete.
Everyone with the dark mark and those in a radius of 5 meters around them would have been sacrificed, fuelling my magic.
"revertere et continue", The tendril returned to the circle, and the cube mixed the red and blu to form a fluorescent red, like the colour that you see when you shine a light through your finger.
"Hostibus maledic, da mihi quae sua sunt. Fortuna fluat. Maledictum horroris: Fortuna mortem privavit". The cube started to spin. It kept spinning faster and faster, while I felt almost all my magic draining. A strong backlash tried to climb back from the magic's connection to the world, but it was borne by the Druidic circle. The Cube suddenly lost all its light. It settled back onto the ground, as the Curse was now cast.
I sat down on the ground, first smirking, then laughing wildly. "HahahahaHa hahahaaa"*wheeze*"Haha hm haha". I felt the weight of Dumbledore and his army lifting off my shoulders. It was truly terrifying, if I'm honest, to be in the Eyes of Dumbly Boy.
Ah, what did the Curse do? It's very simple. It took away all the luck of the ones I targeted and transferred it to me.
"They should start dying off by now", I said, as I estimated the time from the angle of the sun.
I walked away, back to my abode, finding a sword embedded in a tree trunk, seemingly new.
Meanwhile, In another country...
"Here Severus, have a lemon drop", Dumbledore spoke kindly. "No thank you", Snape replied used to his antics by now."Ah well, more for me", Dumbles chuckled, before throwing the drop in the air. At that exact moment, Fawkes dove for the drop, apparating with the Sorting hat. The Sword of Gryffindor 'accidentally' dropped from the hat, nearly impaling Dumbledore. Suddenly, everything quietened. Fawkes stared in mild interest towards the sword. Dumbledore looked at the sword, amused. It had impaled one arm, leaving his wand arm free. Dumbly pulled his wand out, and tried to cast a levitation charm. Somehow, he 'misspelled' a word and did a wrong wand movement, casting a time reversal charm. The charm immediately sucked away all his mana, and suddenly, the office was empty. The only things left around Dumbledore's office table were clumps of sand and Coal, seemingly reverted from diamonds.
