Chapter 3
Sora, Donald and Goofy all sit around the rawing campfire before deciding to turn in for the night. Sora lies awake not because of the bright full moon that was rising but was too excited to sleep. Upon hearing the snores of Donald and Goofy, he didn't want to wake them. He could not put this finger on what he was being drawn to but he had to go back to that creek with the rocks. So he quietly goes to investigate on his own...
Sora: Here i am guys!
Goofy: Hey Sora! Where have you bin?
Sora: Oh you never believe what i have...
Donald: Sora! Where's the firewood? You were suppose to be helping!
Sora: OH Ahhhh, i guess i got distracted!
Donald: Humph!
Sora looks towards a small pile of twigs and branches that Goofy and Donald have collected.
Sora: Looks like you've managed to find some through!
Donald: Humph!
Sora: Ahhh...shall...i...start the fire?
Goofy: Yes please Sora!
Sora: I'll use fire magic from the keyblade. FIRE!
Sora pointed the keyblade towards the pile of wood and summonded fire. In less the a second the fire ingnited almost narrowly missing Donald's tail feathers.
Goofy: Nice one Sora!
Donald: WHACK! Watch it! I do not want to be cooked!
Goofy and Sora begin laughing.
Sora: Ha ha sorry Donald! Guess i need to watch my aim!
The 3 sit down around the campfire admiring the orange glow and the sound of gentle waves crashing on the beach.
Sora: This is just like when i use to go camping back on Destiny Islands with Riku and Kairi.
Goofy: Sora? What were you going to tell us earlier?
Donald: Yeah! Where were you?
Sora: Oh yeah! So i found this creek and rock and i don't know i just felt drawn there for some reason!
Sora lies down on a blanket that Goofy had found from the Gummi Ship putting his hands behind his head looking up towards the sky. Noticing that a full moon was beginning to rise.
Sora: I just don't get it there is something about this island that doesn't seem right...
Donald: Be glad for one thing that its not crawling with Heartless!
Goofy: We can explore in morning once we get the Gummi Ship up and running again!
Donald: Yeah than we must continue our mission! (Yawns) Let's get some sleep now. Good night everyone!
Goofy: Good Night Donald! Good Night Sora!
Sora: Yeah Good Night Donald! Good Night Goofy!
Sora remains wide awake, it wasn't long until he heard the snores coming from Donald and Goofy. He smiled as he was use to their snoring but that wasn't what was keeping him awake nor the bright light of the full moon.
Too excited to sleep, he got up and began tip toeing through the forest, using the full moon as guidence. There was no need for light from his keyblade but he was armed and ready if something decided to appear.
Miraculously, he finds his way back to the same creek, the water was glittering from the moonlight. He could also hear the rushing of running water what sounded like a water fall nearby.
Sora: Beauitful!
Feeling thirsty he bent down to scoop some water into his hands for a fresh water drink. Suddenly gets a whiff of what smelt like sea water. He tastes the water in his hands but it tasted normal.
Sora: Saltwater but it tastes like freshwater!
Sora looks up and sees the large rock he saw earlier and decides to take a look. He manages to get to the rock successfully and comes to find the water fall he thought he heard. To get closer he decides to jump across some water.
Sora: Wow! Ha?
Suddenly Sora feels himself slip backwards finding himself sliding down a steep muddy path.
Sora: Ahhhhhhh!
Sora screamed until he came to a stop being a backward roll onto his back. Luckily not injurying himself.
Sora: Ouch!
Sora sits up rubbing his head, he had no idea where he had landed but it was dark. He looked toward where he had fallen from and could see still see light from the moon. Sora tried to climb up but it was still steep and slippery. He did think of using flying magic but the path was too narrow.
Sora: Great! Hope there is another way out! (frustrated)
Using his keyblade for light and guidence, he begins to smell saltwater again thinking that the ocean was nearby but how? So he decides to follow the salty scent like he was being drawn to it. The cave reminded him of the one back home at Destiny Islands.
Sora: When there is ocean surely there must be an exit from this cave!
Sora walks slowly down a sandy passage wonders if he will ever get out and Donald and Goofy will wonder where has got too! He begins to see what looked like flickering of water. He breaths out a sign of relief as where there is water there might be a way out! He continues and too his amazement he stumbles upon a pool!
