Sasuke Uchiha, now known as Izuna, began a journey that would take him far from the lands of his birth. The weight of his actions in Konoha—destroying the village and ending Naruto Uzumaki's life—clung to him like a shadow. He had known there would be consequences. Naruto wasn't just a hero in Konoha; he was a symbol of hope for the entire ninja world. The five nations had, at long last, found peace largely due to Naruto's influence and unwavering belief in cooperation. With Naruto gone, the tenuous peace he had forged began to crumble, and Sasuke was at the center of it all.
Izuna—a name he chose to honor his Uchiha ancestors and to sever his connection with his former life—felt the world turn against him. Despite the power he wielded, the immense Rinnegan that allowed him to traverse dimensions and manipulate reality, he found himself pursued relentlessly. Shinobi from all over, some seeking justice, others revenge, and some hoping to make a name for themselves by defeating the one who had killed the Hero of the Leaf, came after him.
At first, Izuna found it easy to evade them. His skill was unparalleled, and his mastery of space-time ninjutsu made him almost untouchable. He moved from one land to another, changing his appearance, hiding his chakra signature, and leaving behind any who followed him. But even with his powers, he couldn't shake the feeling that no matter how far he went, the ghosts of his past were always just a step behind.
In the Land of Iron, he disguised himself as a wandering mercenary, offering his services to those who needed protection in exchange for food and shelter. The samurai there, bound by honor, did not question his past, but they spoke in whispers of the dark days that had befallen the world since Naruto's death. The peace Naruto had fought so hard for was unraveling. Alliances were breaking down, old grudges resurfaced, and war loomed on the horizon once again. Izuna listened in silence, feeling the weight of his guilt grow heavier with every word.
Eventually, even the Land of Iron became unsafe. A group of shinobi from Kumogakure tracked him down, having recognized him despite his disguise. They attacked with a ferocity that surprised even Izuna, their determination to avenge Naruto giving them strength beyond what he had anticipated. Though he managed to defeat them, the battle left him shaken. He had underestimated how deeply Naruto's influence had reached. The shinobi world had lost its hero, and Izuna was the one responsible.
It was then that he made the decision to leave the world of shinobi altogether. Using his Rinnegan, he opened a portal to another dimension—a barren, lifeless world where he could be alone with his thoughts. He wandered this new realm for days, the silence of the place pressing down on him. Here, there were no reminders of his past, no pursuers, no villages, and no people. Yet, even in this desolate place, he found no peace. The stillness of the world only amplified the turmoil within him.
In the barren dimension where Izuna—formerly Sasuke Uchiha—had chosen to isolate himself, time seemed to stretch endlessly. The planet was a wasteland, its cracked and scorched surface reflecting the desolation he felt inside. But in this bleak and empty place, Izuna found a strange kind of freedom. With no one around to judge him, no responsibilities to weigh him down, and nothing but the vast emptiness of the world around him, he was able to focus entirely on something that had always driven him: his pursuit of power.
As days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, Izuna devoted himself to intense training. His Rinnegan, the eye that had granted him the ability to traverse dimensions, also gave him access to an array of formidable powers—powers he had barely begun to explore. In this desolate world, free from distractions and the chaos of the shinobi world, he resolved to push his limits further than ever before.
One of the first areas Izuna focused on was his mastery over the five basic elements: fire, water, earth, wind, and lightning. He had always been proficient in elemental ninjutsu, particularly fire and lightning, which were his natural affinities. But now, with the Rinnegan amplifying his abilities, he sought to achieve complete mastery over all elements.
Izuna spent countless hours experimenting with each element, forcing himself to perform jutsu after jutsu until the techniques became second nature. He worked on manipulating fire, conjuring flames that could incinerate entire landscapes or focus into a single, intense beam of heat that could cut through anything. He practiced controlling water, summoning vast waves from the arid ground, and even learned to manipulate the moisture in the air to create rainstorms or mist that could cloak his movements.
His mastery over earth allowed him to reshape the very landscape of the planet. He created mountains with a mere thought, split the ground open with a stomp, and formed barriers of rock harder than steel. Wind, too, became a weapon at his command. He learned to create gusts powerful enough to level structures, as well as sharp, invisible blades of air that could slice through enemies from a distance.
Lightning, his most familiar element, became even more dangerous in his hands. He no longer needed to rely on complex hand signs or extended concentration. With just a thought, he could summon storms, calling down lightning bolts from the heavens, or channel the energy directly through his body, turning himself into a living weapon of electrical destruction.
As his understanding of the elements deepened, Izuna began to push the boundaries of what was possible. He started experimenting with combining elements in new and innovative ways, creating jutsu that had never been seen before.
One of his most powerful creations was a technique he called Chidori Storm, a fusion of lightning and wind chakra. By combining the cutting power of wind with the raw destructive force of lightning, Izuna created a storm of energy that could obliterate anything in its path. The technique didn't require hand signs; with a mere flick of his wrist, he could unleash a torrent of electrified wind that tore through rock and metal like paper.
Another of his inventions was Inferno Tsunami, a devastating blend of fire and water chakra. The jutsu summoned a wave of boiling lava that consumed everything in its wake. It was a technique that required precise control, as the combination of fire and water was inherently unstable, but in Izuna's hands, it became a weapon of unparalleled destruction.
Izuna also developed a jutsu he named Shadow Earthquake, a technique that combined earth and lightning chakra. By infusing the ground with electrical energy, he could create seismic waves that not only shattered the earth but also electrified everything within the vicinity. It was a technique designed to incapacitate large groups of enemies at once, and it became one of his go-to moves in battle.
Through his training, Izuna realized that with enough focus and mastery, he no longer needed to rely on hand signs to perform jutsu. His connection to the Rinnegan allowed him to bypass the traditional methods of chakra control. Instead, he could manipulate chakra directly with his thoughts and willpower.
This newfound ability made him even more dangerous. In combat, he no longer needed to signal his attacks with hand signs, making his moves unpredictable and nearly impossible to counter. He could conjure fire, manipulate the earth, and call down lightning with nothing more than a glance.
The pinnacle of his power was demonstrated in a technique he called Void Step. This technique allowed Izuna to phase through dimensions, moving so fast that it appeared as if he was teleporting. He could appear behind his enemies in an instant, delivering a fatal blow before they even realized he had moved. And unlike other space-time jutsu, Void Step didn't require any preparation or visible signs; it was as simple as walking for him.
Beyond the elemental jutsu and his ability to perform techniques without hand signs, Izuna's true power lay in his mastery of the Rinnegan. He had only scratched the surface of its potential before, but now, in this barren world, he devoted himself to fully understanding its abilities.
He perfected techniques like the Almighty Push and Universal Pull, using them not just in battle but also to reshape the environment around him. He learned to control the gravitational forces with such precision that he could create miniature black holes, consuming everything in their vicinity. This technique, which he called Gravitational Singularity, became his ultimate weapon, capable of ending battles in an instant.
Izuna also delved deeper into the power of the Deva Path, allowing him to control life and death. With the Human Path, he could extract information from his enemies without leaving a trace, and with the Outer Path, he could manipulate the souls of the dead. However, these powers came at a great cost, and he used them sparingly, aware that tampering with life and death could have unforeseen consequences.
Despite all his newfound abilities, Izuna still couldn't find peace. No matter how strong he became, no matter how many jutsu he mastered or invented, the emptiness inside him remained. He had thought that power would bring him solace, that if he could become strong enough, he could erase the guilt and regret that haunted him. But instead, he found that the more power he gained, the more isolated he felt.
The barren dimension, which had once seemed like a refuge, now felt like a prison. Even with the ability to travel to other worlds, to explore the galaxy, he couldn't escape the reality of what he had done. The faces of those he had left behind in Konoha—the friends he had betrayed, the people he had hurt—continued to haunt him.
In the end, Izuna realized that power alone couldn't bring him peace. He had mastered the elements, created jutsu that defied the laws of nature, and even learned to bend time and space to his will. But none of it had filled the void inside him. The more he trained, the more he pushed his limits, the further he seemed to drift from the peace he sought.
With his training complete, Izuna left the barren dimension behind, returning to the galaxy. But this time, he returned not as the man who had once sought power above all else, but as someone who had come to understand the limitations of that power. He was no longer running from his past, but he wasn't yet sure what his future held.
As he traveled from planet to planet, he began to use his abilities to help those in need. He became a wanderer once more, but this time, his journey had a different purpose. He sought out conflict, not to fuel his own power, but to bring an end to it. He intervened in wars, stopped tyrants, and protected the innocent where he could.
In these acts, Izuna found a measure of peace—not in power, but in the small, quiet moments of doing what was right. He would never be able to undo the things he had done, and the guilt of his past would always be with him. But at least now, he was trying to make amends, one step at a time.
His journey was far from over, and he knew that the road ahead would be long and difficult. But for the first time in a long time, Izuna felt that he was moving in the right direction. He was no longer the avenger who had destroyed his own world. Now, he was a man seeking redemption, even if it took him the rest of his life to find it.
