A/N: Welcome…to…Chapterrr…4! Not anything of note to say, so not wasting anytime, let's…go!
"And what has mother told you about attacking people randomly?! By Satan, you are a pain in my behind!"
It was 23:00 in the evening, and I have had to listen to Rias ranting to Sairaorg for 3 hours…3 whole fucking hours!
"Hahaha! Come now, Rias. It was all in good fun, wasn't it Isaiah?" Sairaorg said with a grin, and I nodded hesitantly, making his grin widen as Rias sighed before sitting back down on the bed. Akeno, Coriana and Kuisha giggled as Koneko was already asleep on one of the pillows.
"Dear Maou, it's like talking to a brick wall." Sairaorg laughed at Rias words as he and I sat down at the foot of the bed.
"It's okay, Rias. No one got hurt, so it's fine." Rias smiled at me before giving a quick glare to Sairaorg. He chuckled sheepishly before looking at me.
"So, Isaiah, how does it feel being a Knight of House Gremory?" The girls were already in a world of their own as they had moved to sitting next to Koneko and Sairaorg and I were sitting near the foot of the bed.
"It's alright, I guess. Nothing exciting has happened so far, but I guess I should be happy about that. How does it feel being the heir of Great House Bael?" He shrugged as he changed to sit cross-legged.
"Just a lot of studying, training and politics. Nothing exciting. The only fun thing that's happened was me fighting my brother and father for the title of heir." Wait, what?!
"You had to fight your dad? I thought the law stated that only the heir and the challenger had to fight each other?" He sighed before nodding.
"Usually, that is true, yes. However, in House Bael, if the Lord feels the new heir is too weak, they can challenge the heir and if they beat the heir, the heir is then banished from ever entering the House ever again. They are also demoted to be a Low-Class Devil and are banned for 20 years from the Promotion Exams. So, I had to beat my brother before beating my father." I stared up at him in shock and he chuckled.
"What is your DES?" He asked and I snapped out of my shock.
"My what?" I asked and he chuckled.
"Your Demonic Entity Stats. What are they?" Oh, right. Those.
"Oh um…Mid Mid-Class Strength, Peak High-Class Speed and Peak Mid-Class Demonic Energy Reserves." He hummed and nodded.
"Impressive for your age. When I was your age, I was not even close to that. That's an average of Peak Mid-Class, right?"
"Close. It's Low High-Class." He nodded before grinning.
"Well, I'm about High Ultimate-Class bordering Peak Ultimate-Class right now, so if you keep training hard, you should make a good rival for me." Wait a second, roll that back. He's how powerful?!
"H-how?" He chuckled before he spoke.
"Just hard work" He said before moving to sit with the girls.
"W-wait. Come on, you can't just say hard work. Give me at least a few tips. Come on man…for the boys." He just laughed.
"So, what are you two boys talking about?" Kuisha asked as we sat down next to them. Sairaorg grinned as he spoke, ignoring me pulling on his arm.
"Depends. What were you girls talking about?" The girls smiled before Coriana spoke.
"Girls stuff, nothing you boys would need to know."
"Well, we were talking about boy stuff."
"And what exactly are these 'boy stuff?" Akeno asked and I spoke before Sairaorg could.
"Tits, asses, basically anything that catches our attention." Everyone looked at me in shock and I grinned.
"I'm a 10 year old boy that hasn't even started puberty. I can't believe you girls actually thought that I think about that stuff. If anything, you should be looking at Sairaorg. He could have been corrupting me with that stuff." The girls' stares went from me to Sairaorg and he grinned.
"I had to live through three years of sleepovers as the only guy. I need another guy to talk to about stuff like this." The girls sighed as I giggled and Sairaorg laughed.
"Boys." The girls muttered together and Sairaorg and I grinned at each other.
"Women." Two pillows slammed into us as we stared at a grinning Rias.
"What do you two buffoons mean by 'women', huh?" Rias asked only for a pillow to slam into her face.
"Exactly what we meant." I fired back right before Sairaorg sighed.
"You just threw away your only weapon." Sairaorg said and I grinned sheepishly right before the pillow war finally began.
One Year Later:
Morning:
"Come on Isaiah! Control your Touki and punch me!" Sairaorg yelled and I sucker-punched him in the face. Yeah, turns out Sairaorg has taken an interest in my training, because of me proclaiming him as my 'rival' after the pillow war. I don't even know when the hell I said that. Well, it wasn't like I was going to deny a now Peak Ultimate-Class fighter's training. Still don't know how the guy was already Peak Ultimate-Class in power at just 14/15. At the very least, it explains how he was able to fight Rias and her canon peerage without even using his Sacred Gear, and why he only needed it when Issei unlocked Cardinal Crimson Promotion.
"I just unlocked it yesterday. Do you know how hard it is to control something that you don't understand?!" I yelled back as I parried an aura-covered fist and slammed an elbow into his solar plexus. He chuckled as he grabbed my arm before throwing me away.
"Besides, you've had Touki for two years. Of course, you're going to be better at it than me." He just grinned as he blitzed and tried to grab my face. Leaning back, I spun around him and kicked him in the back of his head. He chuckled once more and just stood upright.
"It's not that hard to control. Just show it who's boss and it'll listen." I stared at him with a deadpan and he chuckled.
"How the fuck…does one show pure energy who's the boss?" I asked and Okita piped up from the side.
"Language!" He said with a laugh as Joker and Bardou, my twin Tibetan Mastiff/ Hellhound hybrids slept besides him. They were the birthday gift I got for my 11th birthday from Lord Gremory. The funny thing was that the two of them were vicious to everyone since birth, but the first time they met me, they were as meek as kittens. No one knows why, but everything I order them to do, they do with no hesitation. Having to clean up after them, feeding them and washing them however is painful and chaotic.
"You shut up. All you've done is just yelling from the sidelines." I yelled before ducking under a fist and getting a knee to the chest. Skidding across the ground, I barely jumped away from a heavy double foot stomp slamming into the ground.
"Oi! I'm talking here!" I yelled at Sairaorg and he grinned widely.
"No time for talking!" He yelled back and I dodged his barrage of punches before a leg slammed into the back of my head. Going with the blow, I flipped away from a fist slamming past me at high speeds into the ground before jumping away from Sairaorg trying to slam an elbow into me. Looking up, I saw Okita pulling his fist out of the ground and took off his haori and his blades before throwing them next to the hounds and took his arms out of his kimono, showcasing the two only scars on his body. Two scars going diagonally across his upper body from shoulder to waist and meeting just under his diaphragm. One he got from in the final round of his Ultimate Class Promotion Exam. The other he got from when he defended Rias from 500 assassins sent from the Old Satan Faction to taker her out and spite Sirzechs.
"Fine then. Since I'm doing so little, put on the blindfold and the weights. You're taking on both of us." I chuckled nervously as Sairaorg shrugged before tearing off his shirt.
"Oi, isn't this a bit petty?" I asked as I put on the ankle and wrist weights before putting on the blindfold and immediately activating Air Current Sense & Electroreception and forcing my Touki into action just in time to duck under a double fist attack and jumped back from two feet stomping where I was.
"We're devils, gaki. Pettiness is part of what we are." Okita said and I sighed as I prepared myself for a beatdown.
One hour later:
"Well, well. Looks like you survive for another day." I didn't pay attention to okita as I took off the weights and tore off the blindfold to glare at him. Sairaorg chuckled as he stretched.
"Great work, Isaiah. Now then, I'll see you two tomorrow for another warmup session." He said as he picked up his shirt and teleported away.
"That guy trains way too much." I muttered and Okita chuckled as he put on the top half of his kimono and his haori and retied his twin katanas to his side.
"The gaki is literally called ' Strongest of the Next Generation' by all the Satans. You don't get that title without putting in the work. Something you need to do since you don't work half as hard as he does." I grumbled as I stretched to cool down. Joker and Bardou were awake and play fighting with each other under the shade.
"Don't I have to wait for my body to develop before I can train harder?"
"Who told you that bullshit?" Okita asked with a raised eyebrow, and I shrugged my shoulders.
"I read it in a book somewhere." Actually, I have no clue where I saw it. It's just something that's been with me for who knows how long. Okita sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose before he spoke.
"Gaki, listen to me and listen CAREFULLY. That shit you just said about waiting for your body to develop…forget all that. That applies only to human babies and only when between the ages of one month old to one year old. That's it. Supernatural beings and entities have bodies that develop rapidly and can stay in their primes for millennia. You don't worry about stuff like that. You just train until you drop, then train some more until you pass out only to force yourself awake and train some more, okay?"
"Yes, old man!" I said with a nod and a salute, and he gave a wry smile as he pulled out three books from a portal.
"Okay then. These books you need to read tonight, because tomorrow is an off day and the day after that, we're starting your weapon training. Satan knows we wasted enough time with unlocking your Touki. Now, It's your free time from now until 14:00 when you have your final lessons with Lady Gremory. I still don't know how an 11 year old gaki knows about Calculus, Algebra and Biology." I shrugged with a grin, and he laughed as he walked away.
"See you tomorrow, gaki."
"Okay, old man sensei." He shook his head as he chuckled and disappeared into the forest. It was a few seconds before I sighed as I put on the blindfold and took a deep breath. Silence reigned in the empty training ground right before I jumped to the side, dodging a jaw clamping down where my head was. Ducking under another maw, I jumped and dived between a double paw sweep before rolling and lying down just in time to dodge a diving tackle.
"Okay, boys. Faster." I heard two barks that were more like roars before the temperature skyrocketed. It sounded like roaring flames all around me and I sighed before taking off the blindfold. Opening my eyes, but still keeping on my sensing abilities, I deadpan at the two full hellhound lookalikes, with lava for drool, fire literally bursting out of their eyes, lava veins running across their bodies and a coat of blue fire covering them like fur.
"Enough." Instantly, the temperature went back to normal as the two dogs reverted to looking like normal, cute dogs. Well, 3 feet tall, fluffy, drooling balls of fur cute.
"I try to have train some more and the two of you try to kill me. Let's just go see if Evelina doesn't have half a cow for you two." I said as I put the three books away and walked towards the castle. The two balls of fur waddled, or should I saw rolled, after me towards the kitchen, barking happily at the staff we pass along the way. When we reached the kitchen, Koneko was already standing at the door, staring at the dozens of busy chefs, though she turned when she heard us and glared slightly at the two balls of fur, whose tails were wagging happily as they smiled at her.
"Hey, Neko-chan." I said with a wave, and she gave one back, still glaring at the two dogs, who sat down on their haunches besides me.
"Okay, you two. Come here." Evelina's voice sounded throughout the chaos of the kitchen as she walked towards us and literally gave me the bottom half of the cow. I smiled at her and she gave one back as she ruffled my hair before handing three massive bags of candies and cookies to Koneko, who heaved them over her shoulder with one hand before walking away.
Evelina is the woman who dressed me on the first night I had dinner with the Gremory Family, but I really underestimated who she was and how important she is to the Gremory Family.
Not only is she the Queen of Lady Venelana Gremory, but also her full name is Evelina Leviathan-Asmodeus, daughter of Damaidosu Zereikel Asmodeus and Tsufaame Leviathan. She was born with both the Sea Serpent of the End ability of House Leviathan and Inferno of Sinful Pleasure ability of House Asmodeus, making her the most valuable person in the entirety of the Underworld. How Venelana was able to snag from every Devil in the Underworld is a mystery in of itself.
"Take furball 1 and 2 and stay out of the kitchen. I still haven't forgotten what happened last time." The two hounds besides me just kept wagging their tails with big smiles. I chuckled sheepishly before walking out of the kitchen, carrying the cow half over my shoulder. Joker and Bardou gave Evelina a goodbye bark before waddling after me.
"Okay, you two balls of fluff. First, we all need a bath AND I don't want to hear complaining or no cow, understand?" I stopped them from whining, because I should have expected two Hellhounds to not like water. I mean, they're literally the canine masters of fire manipulation. Of course, they won't like water.
"Come on, it's just a quick jump into the shower and out. After that, the two of you can eat and sleep all day. I think I'll just go to the library and find out about something that's been bugging me." I muttered and the two hounds barked before dashing towards my room and I sighed as I followed after them with a quick jog.
30 minutes Later:
"I know the books should be here, but where are they?" I muttered as I browsed through the 'General Magic' section of the library, looking for three specific books. Okita said they were here, and that they might help me with my magic affinities, but he never told me where they specifically were and to my knowledge, the 'General Magic' section alone had over 5000 books, so this was going to be awhile.
"The Dark Arts of the Ars Goetia…Already read that…Ah here they, Affinities of the Soul and Elemental Storm: A Guide to Elemental Magic for Beginners. Man, this just sounds like a lot more training." I said with a sigh as I took out the two books and walked to my personal table, which was just the table I sat at for the first time when I first came here. Taking Affinities of the Soul, I began to read.
"Magic: A blessing to those who accept it, a curse to those who reject it. Magic has many uses and when one is truly in tune with their magic, that is when one's elemental affinities are truly revealed. Though it is true that supernatural beings such as Devils, Angels, Fallen Angels and Gods are able to use all elemental magic, the spells are never as strong as the ones used that are the same as the element of the soul. A being is usually born with one or two elemental affinities. Rare cases are those born with three affinities. Those born with four or more are considered the true monsters of magic.
The elemental affinities of magic are:
Fire: The magic of those that tread the line of serenity and rage, of creation and destruction.
Wind: The magic of those who are truly free and chaotic. Always changing, never following the rules of the world.
Earth: The magic of those who are stubborn and firm, never abandoning their beliefs.
Water: The magic of those who can adapt, always changing to prosper in their environment.
Lightning: The magic of the energetic and the balanced, always straightforward and simple.
Shadow: The magic of the understanding and truthful, but also the lonely. Those who can see clearly and be honest with themselves.
Light: The magic of the innocent, but also the merciless. Those who can remain pure even in the darkest of moments and can illuminate the way for those who are lost. Warning: Devils are to never practice Light Magic if it is not their affinity as even the slightest bit can be fatal to those who cannot control it.
The following three affinities are very dangerous, and users of these affinities are to be treated with extreme caution:
Nature: The magic of those who are deeply connected to the delicate strands of the web of life, always balanced between the forces of destruction and the magic of creation. A deadly magic as the strongest user in history, a Champion/Demigod son of Gaia, was able to manipulate all living beings, plants and natural phenomena along with the matter and energy of which all things are composed of. It took the combined efforts of the Three Brothers of Olympus, which are Zeus, Poseidon and Hades, to defeat and kill him.
Space: The magic of those who can be everything and nothing. Always rearranging the world in order to fit their image. There is no place in the world that is safe for those that anger a wielder of Space Magic. There have only been fifty users of this magic in the entirety of history that are not gods. This is how rare it is.
Time: The magic of those who are patient and calm, knowing that whatever happens is what they desire and want. Those who already know what has happened, what is happening and what will happening. Not as rare as Space Magic as thousands of users have been seen in history. However, the magic does not reveal itself as easy as the others and some even go through life without even knowing that they have an affinity for it. It is the most difficult magic that exists because of the fact that even the slightest miscalculation in a spell will cause catastrophic devastation to not only the user, but also the environment around them. This is why all rogue Time users are considered Major God-Class threats at minimum and are eliminated from this world and history as soon as possible.
One's elemental affinities are revealed only after becoming familiar with one's own magic, however there are those who know what their affinities are as soon as they awaken them, though the chance of this happening is very rare." The book went on about what every element symbolizes in vivid detail, how to determine a person's elemental affinity by studying them, how their horoscopes affect what their affinities are, how genetics and time can not only make a person's affinity stronger, but also weaken it severely or in the worst cases, erase it entirely.
"Huh, so according to this, I'mfree, energetic, chaotic and understanding…damn, even a book can read me like a book." I muttered as I put the book aside and picked up Elemental Storm.
"If you think this book will instantly make you a master of magic, close it, go get a toaster, climb in a bathtub filled with water, plug in the toaster and kill yourself or even better, go hang yourself. This book is not for those looking for shortcuts to power. We Devils are beings of desire, but also power. If you do not have the necessary power, then you will never achieve what you truly desire.
If you're still here, I assume you're either truly a student of hard work…or a stubborn idiot. If you're the former, read further. If you're the latter, here this. Go kill yourself. We don't need your genes polluting the Devil Populace.
Now then, let's really begin. The Elements are known as the Five Primary and the Five Ascended. The Five Primary are the Basic Five Elements, namely Fire, Wind, Water, Earth and Lightning. The Five Ascended are the Five Fundamentals, namely Shadow, Light, Nature, Space and Time. A being is always born with one Primary and one Ascended, however it is commonly believed a being is only born with a Primary Element. This is because unlocking your Ascended element is several times harder than unlocking your Primary. There are exceptions, such as Sirzechs Lucifer, Ajuka Beelzebub, Rizevim Livan Lucifer and Diehauser Belial, who do not have neither a Primary nor an Ascended as they have discarded those elements and taken concepts as their elements, namely Destruction(Sirzechs), Manipulation(Ajuka), Nullification(Rizevim) and Cancellation(Diehauser). This is why the four of them are also known as Transcendental Devils or Super Devils. They have each taken a concept and made it reality. However, making a concept reality is not possible without having at least Elder God-Class Energy reserves. Therefore, I advise you through this book to train yourself to the point where you have achieved this level and even then, train a bit more before testing this.
Now, in order to know what your Elements are is truly simple. Meditate. That's it. The Five Primary and the Five Ascended are not things you can achieve just like that. If you have already found out what your Primary Element(s) are, then train them until you have truly mastered them. When you have truly mastered your elements and you will know when you have mastered them, your Ascended Element will be shown to you.
Now without further ado, this is how to train each of the elements."
"Finally, now I can start with my real training." I muttered as I turned the page of the book only to pause and take a deep breath at what I read. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and looked once again at what I read. Yep, the same thing.
"Wind: Feel breezy.
Earth: Become firm.
Fire: Become pissed off, but also calm.
Lightning: Just do it
Water: Adapt to every situation.
Look, I got tired of writing this, so that's the best I'll give you. Not everything is free in life, so struggle a bit.
By F. Asmodeus."
"Of course, the fucking lazy Satan of Sloth is the one who wrote a book about elements. He's the leading expert on all things elemental, especially with his elemental creations, but would it kill him to write more than that?" I grumbled as I put the book aside on top of Affinities of the Soul. I sighed as I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
"Okay, so firstly, affinities are what I need to become strong, however the way to become strong is not written down because some people don't finish their books. So now, I have to scrape at the back of my mind to get any magical training, but I can't do that since training affinities was never shown in the show and even if they were shown, they were probably just shown for a few seconds. After that, everyone probably forgot about them. Dear fucking Satan, how is a guy supposed to get strong and why won't this fucking Sacred Gear unlock?!" I raged as I glared at my palm. I have been trying to unlock this Sacred Gear for the past year. Issei could do it in one day by concentrating on a symbol of power, so like a fool, I tried to do the same. Turns out, Sacred Gears don't unlock like that. Oh no, the fuckers decide to fuck everyone over by only unlocking when one is in danger or truly desires it. Well, wanting it very badly should count as truly desiring it, so you know what? Fuck you, Sacred Gear!
I slumped over as I bumped my forehead on the table over and over and over.
"Well, I don't know what the table did to you, but I don't think it deserves that many headbutts." I looked up and saw a grinning Sirzechs and Lord Gremory standing there, Grayfia just a few feet behind Sirzechs.
"I've been reading this, and it's made me mad." I said as I lifted up Elemental Storm and saw Sirzechs and Grayfia wince slightly as Lord Gremory chuckled.
"Oh yeah, Falbium was always one to do things halfway and never finish. Grayfia dear, could you dispose of it?" Sirzechs said as he took the book and handed it to Grayfia, who nodded as she put it in a magic crest. Lord Gremory and Sirzechs both sat down and there were a few seconds of silence before all three of us looked at Grayfia. She was stoic for a few seconds, before sighing as she gave Sirzechs a peck on the cheek, bowed to Lord Gremory and patted my cheek before walking out the library.
"She might be persistent, but you have to admit, she is one loyal woman." Lord Gremory said and Sirzechs smiled and nodded.
"Yeah, I'm lucky to have her." I sighed as I knew where this was going.
"Please, I'm already tired. I don't think I can take another 'My wife is better' argument." They chuckled as Lord Gremory ruffled my hair and I pouted as I tried to get it back in order.
"Well then, let's talk about what you're doing here. And where are those two demons of yours?" Sirzechs asked as he looked around for Joker and Bardou.
"They're lying belly up on my bedroom floor, already washed and fed. They'll probably be awake when I head back to my room to train them." Lord Gremory sighed as he was working on a stack of paper.
"I still don't know how you were able to tame them." I shrugged before turning to Sirzechs.
"Uh, Mr Sirzechs I have a question." He waved a hand for me to further as he was also now working on three stacks of paper, though it was less working and more drawing doodles on them.
"Well, can a person go through promotion earlier? Also, can they skip ranks and go straight to High-Class?" He looked up from where he was drawing a penis on what looked like a very important document from the Bank of Lilith.
"Why would you want to know that?" I just shrugged.
"Just curious." He stared at me before sighing.
"Yes, there is a way. However, the way you are talking about is extremely deadly even for the average Ultimate-Class Devil."
"Why is that?"
"That is because you have to survive a week in the Devil's Bermuga." Lord Gremory said and Sirzechs nodded gravely at his words.
"Just surviving?" Sirzechs chuckled at me.
"Temperatures that skyrocket and plummet at random intervals. Hazardous gases everywhere in the air and Satan Class monsters everywhere you look. Still think it's easy?" I stared at him before Lord Gremory spoke.
"It's also the place where the former familiars of the Four Satans reside. Each one of them have a fifth of the area as their territory. The other fifth belongs to the New Faction Devils, but that is only because it was given to us. Each of the Familiar is Mid Major God-Class in power and the only way for a reincarnated Devil to become a High-Class Devil directly without taking any exam is to tame one of the familiar and take its territory. However, this is also hard, because when one tries to take on one, the other three will come to support them and then you'll have to fight four Mid Major God-Class beasts who have fought together since birth. That is also why there are so little reincarnated High-Class Devils around as they have to wait millennia to become High-Class Devils and since we are still in a ceasefire with the Angels and the Fallen Angels, I do not see any reincarnated Devil becoming a High-Class Devil through military achievements. There is also the Reincarnated Devils Ranking Tournament that is held once a century, but most of the Devils in that Tournament are Peak-High Class at the least and most of them have decades of experience, so I'd advise you to become Minor-God Class at the very least before you enter it." I mulled over his words and Sirzechs chuckled.
"You don't have to worry about that, though. Live your life and take it easy. Don't worry about anything, because I'll be there to take care of you all and my family until you are powerful enough to take care of yourself." I nodded and he smiled before it turned into a sly grin.
"Now, I do believe you have your final lessons with my mother in about 30 minutes, so if I were you, I'd hurry."
"Wait what?! Shit! Shit! Shit! Not again." I yelled as I blasted out of my seat and out the library, Lord Gremory's and Sirzechs' laughter following me.
Three Hours Later:
"Well, Isaiah my dear boy, I would like to say I am proud to hand this over to you and might I say, you are truly the brightest student I have had in a long time." Lady Gremory said as she handed me a certificate. Rias was off to the side cheering along with Millicas as Akeno and Koneko were clapping with Grayfia, Lord Gremory, Sirzechs, the rest of Sirzechs Peerage and Evelina. Joker and Bardou were behind me and were just as excited, though they didn't really know why. They were just excited since everyone cheering this much means more food for them. The lazy fluffballs.
"Thank you Lady Gremory and might I say, you are the best teacher I've had the honour of learning from." "Hey, I heard that!" I heard Okita yell from the side, and I looked slightly to see Grayfia jab him in the side, making him yelp and Millicas giggle.
"Why thank you, dear. Just for that, you can now stay however long you want in the library. I'll ask Sebastian to make you your own personal key." I grinned as I bowed slightly.
"Thank you, milady." She smiled before Lord Gremory spoke.
"This calls for a celebration." Surtr, Beowulf, Okita, Enku and Bahamuth cheered, with Millicas and Rias cheering with them as Grayfia and Macgregor sighed. Even Koneko was cheering, though a bit more softly than the rest.
I was in my own world as I looked down at the certificate, grinning at what I read.
This is a certificate to prove that the recipient, Isaiah Lyonel Azathoth, has graduated from the Lilithan University.
'I know what this means. No going to school for me~" I sang in my thoughts with a grin on my face.
"What are you so excited about?" I heard Akeno ask and looked up to see her standing near me.
"Wait, where's everyone?" I asked as I saw the place cleared out. How the hell did they all disappear just like that? It was just us two, Joker and Bardou still in the room, though the two goofballs were jumping anxiously to leave.
"Fufufu~ Well, they went to the feast, and I volunteered to wait for you and lead you there." I shrugged as I snapped my fingers and the two fell in line instantly beside both of us, Joker on my right and Bardou on Akeno's left, before we walked out and towards the Grand Hall.
"It really is amazing how you've trained them." Akeno said as she rubbed Bardou's head and he licked her cheek, making her giggle. She was probably the only one aside from myself and Koneko that they tolerate and/ or like to be with, mostly because she's also the one person I hung out most of the time.
"What's more amazing is them not getting annoyed by you. You're probably the only one aside from Koneko that they allow near them." She shrugged with a giggle as she kept petting Bardou and I was bumped out of nowhere by Joker. Looking at him, I saw him whining as he kept rubbing against me.
"Alright, alright. You two really are spoiled." I muttered as I rubbed his head and he barked happily as he waddled alongside me, with Bardou waddling along with Akeno.
"So, why did you wait for me?" I asked and she shrugged as she stopped Bardou's petting for a few seconds, making him whine as she rolled her eyes playfully before continuing with the petting.
"I wanted to get to know you better. You do spend more time with Koneko and Rias than you do with me, and a girl can only take so much neglection before she begins to feel jealous."
"You're kidding, right? I spent the most time with you than I do with the others. Besides, with Neko-chan, it's just us talking about our favourites desserts and eating candy and with Rias…it's just me running away from her trying to put me in dresses and trying new makeup on me." She giggled as we turned left and walked across the courtyard towards the massive Grand Hall, where I heard a bunch of cheering and laughing.
"Well, what about we talk about sex?" She said out of nowhere and my head snapped to her in shock, making her laugh and I have to say, her laughter was really melodic. It sounded like soft bell chimes ringing to form a beautiful melody.
"I was just joking. Why don't we talk about magic? I heard you have Electroreception and Air Current Sense. That's pretty impressive." I shrugged as Joker and Bardou were now running around and playing. I sighed at them, and Akeno giggled before sitting down on one of the benches in front of the fountain before petting the seat beside her.
"Come on, let's sit down and let them play before we go in." I shrugged before sitting down beside her as she moved slightly closer.
"So, the sensing abilities?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh right, well, I suppose you have Electroreception too, since you specialise in Lightning Magic too."
"Well, you're right, but you're also wrong." I turned to look at her and she sighed.
"See, I'm more of an offensive Lightning User, specialising in Thunder Magic. You on the other hand are a support/ augmentative Lightning User, specialising in Electricity Magic. I attack a person with it, you use it to enhance your physical capabilities and sense your opponents around you. I can use it like that too, but it requires way too much concentration to use effectively, just like how it costs you too much concentration in order to send it out as a ranged attack. Am I right?" I nodded before I spoke.
"Yeah, it's really hard to send it out in blasts and very draining too. Same with Wind Magic. Whenever I use it to sense people around me, it takes a lot less concentration and energy than when I, for instance, send out blasts of concussive wind energy or wind blades. However, Okita said that we Knights are people that would rather be close than afar, so it fits my fighting style."
"Oh really? And pray tell, how close…do you get exactly, dear Isaiah?" Akeno asked with a grin on her face as she turned to face me.
"Like hand to hand combat close is the best guess I can give you." Her grin wavered for a few seconds before it returned as she crossed her arms under her chest. Damn, how does a 13 year old girl have C-Cups? What do they feed the female Devils of the Underworld?
"Do you think you can get that close with me?" You must resist Isaiah! You are being tempted! Resist!
"Depends. Do you think you can last long enough to make me tired?" Yes, full counter. There was a slight look of shock on her face before that grin went from her normal sly grin to something I have only seen in the anime and read in the light novels. The infamous sultry 'sadomasochistic' smile.
"Ara Ara~ Looks like we'll have to find out one day, don't we?" She said as she stood up, though not before showing as much skin as she possible could whilst still looking just as innocent.
"Well, it's nice to know you're not as innocent as you look, but we should really be heading to the party. Before we go… you should really take care of…that." She said as she pointed at my lower body before strutting away, swaying her hips slightly. Looking down, I saw that puberty has decided to come knocking early.
"Woof!" "Woof!"
"Oh, be quiet, you two." I swear I heard them snicker as I sat there and calmed down before walking towards the Hall.
"If I worked carefully tonight, I might be able to execute one of my projects tonight."
"Woof?" Joker barked and I waved my hand at him.
"Don't worry, Jokey. It's just something I've been wanting to do for a while, so tonight might be the perfect time to do it." I said before walking into the Hall.
Four Hours Later(Two hours after the feast):
"I…I actually did it. After months and months of careful planning, sneaking and even more planning, I managed to do it." I muttered with a grin on my face as I held up five vials to eye level. The first vial contained Rias' blood from when she accidentally cut herself whilst trying to make her parents an anniversary cake. The second vial contained several hair strands from Lord Gremory that I picked up from the ground every time he spent time with me in the Library. The third vial contained a 'special sample' I got from Sirzechs and Grayfia's room after a…well, let's not talk about that. The fourth vial contained my saliva sample, a drop of my blood and several of my hair strands. The final vial is why I'm so happy. I finally managed to get a saliva sample from Lady Gremory after I managed to discreetly steal a napkin, though Okita managed to see me, and I think he thinks I want to use it for… 'research purposes' because he gave me a sly grin and a not-so-subtle wink when he saw me put it away.
The reason for the five vials is because of something I read in The Dark Arts of the Ars Goetia. A ritual that will allow a Devil to use DNA samples of beings and assimilate a small percentage of their strength as their own. It's also just my luck that the ritual requires a full moon and tonight is a full moon, though I don't know if the artificial moon of the Underworld will work just as good.
I walked towards the empty area I made at the foot of my bed, Joker and Bardou sleeping on my bed. I had drawn a massive diagram of the Ars Goetia magical circle in chalk and grounded Wither Oak, but instead of just using normal Lilithian and Enochian runes, I also had to replace certain parts of the magical circle with Nordic, Slavic and Celtic runes and enchantments. Five Enochian magic crests were placed at the Five Cardinal Points of the Pentagram, where I placed each of the vials in one of the circles, the vial with my samples placed at the Head Point.
Undressing to my birthday suit, I went to stand in the middle of the diagram before I pulled out a bowl from my pocket dimension, containing the blood of a Griffin and a camel. Dipping my pointer and middle finger into the blood whilst channelling Demon Energy to them, I drew a Devil's Pentagram on my forehead before I put the blood away. I took a deep breath before I began to chant.
"With the blood of the mother, I seek virtue
With the blood of the father, I seek strength
With the blood of the son, I ask for purity
With the blood of the daughter, I ask for innocence
With the blood of the receiver, I ask for serenity
In the name of the father Lucifer and the mother Lilith
I pray"
There was a few moments of silence and I thought I did something wrong right before the diagram turned crimson and lit up. The vials were lifted into the air as the contents turned into a blue liquid before pouring onto their respective crest. As this was happening, my body locked up and I was unable to even move my eyes as Enochian and Lilithian runes crawled up my body and created circles on my palms, the top of my feet and my forehead. My arms stretched out to the side and my feet locked together before thin strands of the liquids flowed out of their respective crests and into one of the five circles. A strand from my vial into my forehead, a strand from Sirzechs' and Rias' into my palms and a strand from Lady and Lord Gremory's vials into my feet. There were another few moments of silence and I braced myself. Then there was pain.
White blinding hot pain. Molten lava flowing through my body, burning every part of it. It felt like thousands of drills were trying to bore into my skull at the same time. Everywhere I looked, it burned. The air I tasted and touched, burned. The air I smelt, burned. The pulses of magic I heard from the diagram, was painful. I couldn't even scream or keel over in pain as I was still locked in pain.
What felt like hours, but was probably minutes, of torture and pain finally ended when the crests with the vials had finally emptied and all the liquid was in my body. As the diagram dimmed down, I fell to the floor like a puppet with no strings, gulping deep breaths. I could barely move as every muscle was sore, my eyesight was blurry, and my ears were ringing. My magic also felt very abnormal, but at that time, I didn't even think about it as I crawled towards the bed and climbed in between Joker and Bardou, using them for warmth.
'Finally…a blood descendant with my original soul. Even though you're a filthy Devil now, you still have the highest and purest concentration of my blood since my firstborn children. Rejoice boy… for Lycaon will save you and grant you powers beyond your dreams. For now, sleep…and wait.'
Akeno's Room:
Akeno's POV(One hour before Isaiah's ritual):
"He… he really is the one." That sperm donor always told me that eery Fallen Angel had a soulmate in this world and that the soulmate was the only person that they would truly love. Since I've met Isaiah, I've always been sort of attracted to him, but I don't know why. He's a year younger than me and yet, I couldn't stop thinking about him.
I would've just accepted it as a crush and yet, when I walked with him to the feast, I simply could not stop staring at him. His radiant smile, the way his grey eyes glimmered like diamonds in the light. I feel like a cradle rocker for liking him like that, but I don't care.
"I need to test to see if he is truly who I think he. If he is… he needs to start running, because I'm a woman who does not like to share." I muttered with a small grin as I climbed into bed, falling asleep whilst clutching my custom made Isaiah body pillow.
A/N: Another chapter done, another year for Isaiah finished. Also, for those who think that Akeno is a bit out of character. Issei hung out with her for about six months at max… and she fell head over heels in love with him. Isaiah hung out with her for about a year… and she maybe only has a small crush on him. Also, they're Devils, with Akeno being a Fallen/ Devil hybrid, so in my opinion, their lewdness is tuned down a whole lot more than the first few versions of this chapter. Believe me, the things I wrote in that chapter would have gotten me send to Hell( not that I'm not going there already with my track record.)
Not going to say anything other than see you all next chapter.
