Adrien came out of the classroom with his stuff. He went outside and sat on the stairs. The blonde was going through his notes from class. He is sure Felix will need them since he did not take down any of his own. Suddenly loud yelling was heard. Adrien snapped his head in the direction of the screams. People were running from what Adrien could tell was an akumatized villain. Hawk moth's victim was a young girl. She had jet-black hair. She had black eyeliner and blue teardrops on her face. Her outfit was blue and black to match her tears and hair. The villain was shooting what looked like blue energy balls out of her hands. Some of those balls hit people. Adrien was not sure what those balls did because the civilians looked okay after being shot but they were no longer screaming. They just got up and began to walk away calmly. Adrien was confused by this completely. He ran over to the side of the school making sure he was well hidden. Plagg came out to greet his holder. "So, do we even have any idea what she is doing to those people?" Adrien responded, "I'm not sure. No matter what she's doing she has to be stopped. Plagg claws out!" A gorgeous green light overcame Adrien. Just as quickly as it appeared, it was gone and in Adrien's place was Chat Noir.
The cat-themed Hero jumped up onto the school to observe for a few moments. However, it did not give him any insight into her powers or what her problem was. She was just hitting people with the energy balls. She did not seem distressed, angry, agitated, upset, or anything for that matter. If anything, she was very blank. The most unemotional expression Chat had ever seen was displayed on her face. He jumped down in front of her. She did not say anything to Chat so he decided to speak first. "So, what is your deal?" The girl tilted her head as she spoke. "What do you mean?" Chat said back, "Why are you shooting people with whatever that is? Why do they seem unemotional like you after they are hit?" her face did not change. It just stayed in that same position. "I am just helping them that's all." Chat replied, "With what?" She began to walk towards Chat as she spoke. "I am only freeing them of their pain. So many bad things happen. We need to rid the world of such things." Chat backed up some as she came forward. "I can sense when people are hurt. I can feel it in you as well Chat. I can feel so much hurt. Let me heal you." She lunged forward at Chat. He jumped out of the way but that did not stop her from chasing him around. She shot multiple blue energy balls at him. Chat managed to dodge them all stopping most of them with his staff. The blonde hero came at her swinging his staff trying to land a hit. She blocked most of them but not the last one. The akumatized villain went flying into the building across from the school. She rolled out of the way as Chat tried to land another hit. She got up and kicked him towards the school. Chat was surprised when she picked up a car and threw it at him. Chat got down the car going over him. A loud crash was heard as it hit the school. The girl still seeming unemotional came forward. "You will not stop me for my name is Peace. I will make everything right. No one will feel pain ever again." Chat stood back up. "Pain is part of life." She came back at him again. They clashed for a few moments before a yoyo wrapped around her wrist.
Marinette and Felix had ran to the front where they heard the loud noise come from. As they exited the school, they saw Chat Noir fighting a villain. Other people had come outside to see what was going on as well. The teachers began to evacuate the students immediately. Felix ran out with the rest of the students. Marinette ran back inside and into a closet to quickly transform into Ladybug. Tiki came out of Marinette's bag. "We have to transform tiki." Right before Marinette could say the words, tiki spoke. "Marinette, are you sure you should go out there?" Marinette was bewildered by Tiki's question. "What do you mean? We have to go out there. Who is going to stop the akuma?" Tiki looked up at Marinette. "Chat of course. Marinette, I don't think you should go out in the field, especially after what just occurred." Marinette took on an offended look. "Are you talking about Felix because I'm fine? That's personal this is work. I can handle it Tiki now SPOTS ON!" Marinette wasted no time in getting outside. She saw Peace come at Chat. Ladybug threw her yoyo at the akumatized villain. It wrapped around her wrist. Ladybug pulled her as hard as she could. Peace landed on the ground close to Ladybug. She scanned her over quickly for the item that could contain the akuma. She wore a bracelet around her left wrist and had a necklace on as well. Either of them could be the akumatized item. Before Ladybug could get either item, Peace got free of the yoyo and began to attack Ladybug. "Oh, I can feel your pain too. I can help you know. It could be gone in seconds." Ladybug dodged her attempts to shoot her with the energy balls. Chat came into the fight again. Chat Noir and Ladybug tried to grab her jewelry but were not successful. Ladybug made another attempt to grab her necklace but in the process was shot by Peace. Ladybug fell to the ground. She felt funny and lightheaded. She could hear Chat Noir saying her name faintly but she could not reply not right now.
When Ladybug fell to the ground, Chat charged at Peace who had to move out of the way. Chat Noir yelled, "Ladybug are you alright?" She did not reply but just sat on the floor. Chat looks over to Peace. "What did you do to her?" Peace looked at him with the same expression she has had this whole time. "I freed her. She no longer has pain." Chat screamed, "How can you erase someone's pain?" Peace started to walk forward. "By erasing her memories of anything that makes her unhappy." Chat's eyes widened, "What!" Peace was about to attack Chat again. The cat-themed hero quickly grabbed Ladybug and started to jump from building to building. He had to get her to safety. He is not sure what she will remember. He lost Peace for the time being. He jumped down into an abandoned building and sat Ladybug on the ground. Ladybug seemed to be coming back to herself. She looked at Chat who was kneeled down in front of her. "Chat, where are we?" Chat let out a breath he had been holding. "I had to bring you here because I was not sure what you would remember." Ladybug stood up. "What do you mean?" Chat stood as well. Ladybug had walked past him. Chat turned to her. He was wary of the side effects she could be experiencing. "Do you remember everything?" Ladybug looked at him. "Of course I do. Come on we have to defeat the villain." Chat was trying to think of something that caused Ladybug pain that he could bring up to test her memory. "Do you think we need help for this one? If we do then don't lose any miraculous like you did with the bee." Chat waited with bated breath to see Ladybug's reaction to this. What Chat feared happened. She raised her eyebrows in confusion. "What are you talking about? I never gave the bee miraculous out or lost any Miraculous." Chat did not know what to do. Ladybug is kind of a liability in this fight because she can't remember any mistakes she made. She can't remember anything bad that has happened to her, which means she also can't remember how she overcame those obstacles. Before Chat could say anything else, Peace broke through the wall that was behind Ladybug. She shot several balls at Chat who avoided them all. Ladybug started to move in Peace's direction. The villain gabbed Ladybug and threw her to the side. Her sights were set on Chat. He is the one she needs to get to. The blonde hero knew he needed to get Peace away from the spotted hero so he ran out and began to go to the rooftops. He watched to make sure Peace was behind him. Peace managed to catch up to Chat. She jumped in front of him kicking her legs and swinging her fists. "Why are you trying to stop me from making people happy? I'm taking their pain away. They are able to forget and move on." They continued to fight. The hero was able to tear the necklace off her neck in one quick swipe. The necklace broke as chat did this so he knew it did not contain an akuma. She kicked her leg up in an attempt to kick Chat Noir in the head. He caught her leg as he said, "People don't forget their pain. You can't run from it. You overcome it." Chat then swept her other leg out from under her. As she fell, he tore off her bracelet. The akuma came flying out towards the sky. Chat watched it go since Ladybug was not currently with him. The girl was unevilized. She was lying on her back looking up at the sky. She sat up in confusion. Chat kneeled by her. "Hey, it's okay." The girl was about to respond to him when Ladybug landed on the roof next to the two of them. "Wow Chat, I'm impressed you did a great job taking care of the akumatized villain." Chat had a feeling Ladybug could not remember most of their fights so there for could not remember most of her skills. "Call your lucky charm to fix everything." Ladybug did as Chat asked. She called her lucky charm and fixed everything including herself. Chat brought his attention back to the young girl when she began to sniffle, "What's wrong?" The girl had teary eyes as she explained, "I'm so sorry for what I did." Chat's expression softened. "There is nothing to be sorry about. Your emotions were manipulated by Hawk moth." She looked away from Chat as she said, "I just wanted the pain to stop." The two heroes were concerned with what she said. The girl continued after some silence. "My brother just passed away. I cannot deal with the pain of losing him. I wanted to forget the pain I was feeling." Chat had a bitter sweet smile on his face as he replied. "Experiencing loss is a part of life. Everyone loses something or someone at some point. You can't run from your pain or pretend it doesn't exist. You have to confront how you feel and take control of your life. You can't let your grief consume you forever. I know it's hard to deal with now, but you have to believe me when I say the pain will ease." The young woman looked at him like he was nuts. "There is no way this pain lessens." Chat's ears went back some as he said, "The pain will be sharp at first. You may not even be able to talk about it for a while, but at some point, the pain will ease. You will find comfort in talking about him. One day you will be sharing memories of him fondly even though he is gone. It's called closure and moving on. Your brother would not want you to be in pain like this. Lean on those you have. It will help the pain. Trust me it works." She began to cry. Chat hugged her and whispered over and over again that it would be okay. Once she stopped crying, they helped her get back to her place. Once the heroes were done, they took to the rooftops. Chat was about to go his own way to detransform when Ladybug grabbed his arm. "Chat, you did a great job giving her advice." The jokester smiled lightly as he said, "What can I say, I've been told I should be a motivational speaker." It only took Ladybug a few seconds to make the connection to what he was talking about. She shoved him lightly telling him to shut up. Chat laughed lightly as he went off in his own direction.
