A/N: Back to Lorelei's POV, for now. This is more of a filler chapter and is the second draft. I decided to include an interaction between Lorelei and Kelly, before Kelly left Portland.

Lorelei spent the afternoon and evening moping around at home, eating copious amounts of unhealthy foods and binge watching RuPaul's Drag Race. She decided to allow herself this time to feel her feelings before returning to her normal activities the next day. At one point, she received quick visit from Sean. It was a nice surprise. At least now that she was single, she didn't have to feel guilty about her feelings for him.

Not long after Sean had left, Lorelei received a surprising visitor, Kelly, her mother. She quickly let the woman in, closing the door behind her. The two stared at each other for a moment.

"Sorry for coming by uninvited, I just had to see you."

Lorelei shrugged. "It's ok. We didn't really have a chance for talk earlier."

Another moment of silence. "Nick told me your girlfriend broke up with you. I'm sorry, first break ups are always the hardest."

Lorelei shrugged again. "It was for a good reason. She found her soulmate."

"Were you too together for long?"

Lorelei shook her head as she moved to lean against the kitchen island. "Only a couple of months at most."

Kelly nodded. "Doesn't mean it doesn't hurt. Even if the relationship ended on good terms."

Lorelei nodded. "I've just been engaging in self-care, giving myself time to sit with my feelings before getting back into it tomorrow."

Kelly nodded again, a small smile on her face. "That's good." Another moment of silence. "I, uh, spent some time with your friends, Monroe and Rosalee, this afternoon. You know, I still don't understand, but they seem like good people."

"They are. They are my best friends. Nick and I trust them, they have been really helpful."

"You know, your Aunt Marie was involved with a wesen. She was engaged to him."

Lorelei's eyebrow raised. "So that was true, Aunt Marie was engaged to Farley Colt?"

Kelly nodded. "Yes, it was true. They were actually soulmates." She gave a laugh. "If your grandfather had still be alive, he would have died from shock. I certainly know I was surprised."

"Aunt Marie's soulmate was a wesen. That can happen?"

"Apparently so."

Some more silence, before Kelly spoke up again. "Lorelei, I want to apologise. Leaving you and your brother was the hardest thing I ever had to do. But I was trying to keep you safe."

Lorelei shrugged. "I can't say its ok. We grew up without you. But I appreciate the apology."

Kelly went into a little more detail about why she left and why she had stayed away. It gave Lorelei some more insight to her mother's actions and a better understanding. She couldn't imagine having to leave her children as well as loosing her soulmate and a friend all in one night. Lorelei used their interaction to ask about her father and their first meeting. She watched Kelly's face light up as she spoke about her soulmate. Some of things she told Lorelei resonated with her, including the jolt of electricity whenever they touched and dreams. Thankfully, Kelly didn't go into too much detail about the dreams, but they sounded similar to the ones Lorelei had about Sean.

"Do you think you've met your soulmate?" Kelly asked curiously.

Lorelei shrugged. "I don't know. There is someone who I wonder about. He's a friend, who is always on my mind."

Kelly nodded understandingly. "Well, if he does turn out to be your soulmate, hold onto him and don't let him go."

"Even if being a Grimm could put him in danger?"

"Especially then."

Their interaction didn't last much longer, and before Kelly left, she had hugged Lorelei, which Lorelei returned. Although Lorelei felt awkward at first, she started to feel more of a connection to her mother.

Before bed, she received a call from Nick updating her on the events of the day, including the mauvais dentes. Additionally, Rosalee had told Nick about her and Katie's break up. He said all the right things and told her he was here if she needed him.

After calling out of work for the second day in a row, of which her supervisor was very understanding, Lorelei headed down to the spice shop.

As she went to walk in, a blonde-haired woman brushed past her. Lorelei didn't give her much thought until she saw Monroe step out from the back making some threatening remark. "Damn, who are you threatening?"

"Lorelei!" he said, his tone changing. He bounded towards her and swept her up in his arms. "Are you ok?"

"Uh, yeah. But I might not be if you don't loosen the grip." Lorelei said.

Monroe pulled away. "Oh, sorry."

Rosalee had come around as well, pulling Lorelei into a more gentle and shorter hug. "How are you?"

Lorelei shrugged. "I'm ok. Really. But who was that woman Monroe wanted to kill?"

The pair exchanged a look. "That was Catherine, Adalind Schade's mother."

Lorelei nodded in understanding. "Oh yeah, Nick mentioned that she was buying ingredients for a zaubertrank for someone in a condition like Juliette."

Monroe nodded. "Speaking of Nick, we should give him a call. Let him know she just left."

Rosalee called Nick, let him know with Monroe inputting that the hexenbiest had threatened Rosalee. Lorelei had to smile at Monroe's overprotectiveness towards Rosalee, and their flirty little interaction after the call.

Seeing as there wasn't much else, she could do, she only stayed at the spice shop for another hour or two. As she got into the car, her phone rang. She was incredibly surprised to hear someone claiming to be an FBI agent ask her to meet with them to answer some questions. Lorelei was sceptical, until they asked to meet her at the station that Nick worked at. When she arrived, she couldn't see Nick, Hank, Sergeant Wu or Sean. The agents approached her and led her into an interview room.

"What is all this about?" Lorelei asked. She had no idea what they could want from her.

"We just wanted to ask about your movements yesterday." One asked.

"Uh, let's see. I slept in late. Went to visit my friend who owns a shop on NW Fulton. Met up with my girlfriend or should I say ex-girlfriend for lunch. And then I spent the rest of the day at home. My uh, girlfriend broke up with me and I spent the afternoon binge watching RuPaul's Drag Race."

"Love that show." The other agent said.

"What is all this about?"

"DNA closely related to your brothers was found at a crime scene where two federal agents and a suspect in another murder were killed." Ah yes, Nick had mentioned that he had been there, along with their mother. "Now, we think he is covering for someone. He said it was his mother."

Lorelei looked at them. "Um, I think my brother was being a smartass. Our parents died when I was a baby. It couldn't have been her."

"We were aware of that."

Lorelei's eyes widened. "Wait, you think it was me? I swear, I had nothing to do with this. Take my DNA, you'll see that it won't match. Why would I kill two federal agents?"

"We don't think you killed the agents, moreso the suspect who killed them."

"I've never killed anyone." Lies. "I had no reason to." Another lie, but she had nothing to do with it. "I'm a grad student, I work at a hospital. Nick's the one who goes after criminals, not me."

After taking her DNA, they let her go but warned her not to leave town. Lorelei left the precinct, a little shaken. However, she did learn a lesson. Do whatever was necessary to ensure she didn't leave DNA behind.

On the way home, she called Rosalee to give her a heads up that the fed may contact her to confirm her alibi. She was shocked to hear that Lorelei had been questioned by the FBI. And insisted she tell Nick. Needless to say, her brother was not happy to hear about this. He told her not to worry as the DNA would clear her but told her it was best to stay at home for the time being.

Later that night, she received another call from Nick. First, their mother had left town. Lorelei felt a little disappointed she hadn't stayed, but she could understand why she couldn't. And secondly, Juliette was awake however she seemed to have no memory of Nick. Nick also warned Lorelei that apparently a member of the Seven Royal Families was here, in Portland, although he didn't know who it was. The night passed and halfway through the next day, Lorelei received a call from the FBI confirming that her DNA did not match the one at the scene and they had no further questions for her. Lorelei returned to work, relieved about the news from the FBI, but concerned about Juliette's missing memories.

A/N: This chapter was a little shorter. I figured, if the FBI knew that Nick had a sister, they would probably question her as well. And since I didn't want to drag it out, I ended the chapter quickly. Hope it was alright.
