It has been a few hours since the group of Five children and adult arrive at the Flagship of the U.N pride and joy, Asuka could be seen leaning against the safety rail on one of the carriers numerous observation looking at the Red Sea in front of her
"So" Kaji started, standing right beside her also looking at the red sea, curious at the girl that could be called his daughter figure for him, "what do you think about Shinji Ikari?"
"W-what!?" Asuka stuttered blushing before looking at her father figure, "what do you mean?"
"Come now, I could see it all in your face, you liked him!" Kaji said laughing at Asuka antics at trying to deny her feelings, she was truly a Tsundere, Asuka sigh as she has given up on trying to deny her feelings to her father figure no less
"Well... He's cute and lovable, but sometimes, he was a sacrificing Baka with nothing left to lose" Asuka said blushing Profusingly before suddenly scoffing at Shinji sacrificing self
"I see, did you made any attempts at getting his attention?" Kaji asks curious if his young charge is asking the Third Child out on a date, Asuka huffed in annoyance as if getting his answer as a no
"Well here is some advice-" Kaji started before he was cut off a huge shock wave suddenly hit the shup, "what in the-" Kaji started but was cut off by Asuka, "an undersea shockwave?" Asuka asked herself looking around, before suddenly the ship next to the Flagship suddenly exploded before sinking down towards the ocean
"I think that is not an undersea shockwave" Kaji said looking at the ship next to them sinking, Kaji grabbed Asuka and got inside the ship, both of them made their way towards the bridge and the others to know what's happening

Alarms could be heard at the bridge as they continue to identify on what is happening to the Fleet, "To all ships! Fan out and take evasive Actions!" The Admiral ordered to the comms letting all the ship know on what going to happen next
"The Bismarck and the Bristol has gone silent! Kongo can't locate the target and the Yamato is taking on water!" The soldier said to his suopirier officer
"Dammit!" The Admiral cursed, as the Rainbow accelerated into a radical turn under his command, "what's in God's name is going on here?" The Admiral asked to his second in command
"That would be an Angel attack" The voice of Misato came back cheerfully from the door to his bridge, "this is a combat situation Captain, get the hell out of my bridge!" He snapped without turning around
His binoculars following the wave off water thrashing off their port quarter in the distance, "send the order to all ships, engage the ASW, fire at will!" The Admiral ordered
"It's pointless" Misato sigh to herself, she already sent out a distress signal when the under water shockwave hit the ship, she knew it was pointless as another ship sunk, she knew that the army was just wasting bullets
The Admiral crashed his fist to the bulkhead watching more of his men die, as the frigate sink with only a few survivors being seen in the water
"Why the hell won't it die?" Jones shouted, but he was not expecting an answer, but he got one... Anyway, "there is only two things that were able to kill an Angel, the Eva and a Mazin" Toji said
"What was that?" The Admiral demanded swinging his glare to one of two boys who had followed Captain Katsuragi onto the bridge, "Uh... Nothing" The same boy replied suddenly quailing in the face of the glares at him to hide behind the N.E.R.V officer
"The angel is protected by a defense barrier known as an AT-Field" Misato supplied, deciding that the kids behind her could be trusted to keep a secret... Though she made a point to have Kensuke's tapes got censored after the battle, "it's effectively impervious to conventional weapons"
"Why the hell wasn't I inform about this?" Jones gritted his teeth, Misato shrugged, "need to know basis sir" Misato said glancing out the window again, "Provisional Unit-05 could bs enough to hold down the angel until reinforcements arrive, or defeat the Angel in question using it's AT-Field"
She let her voice trail off as she look down at the spray of red water, strangely the Angel now appeared to be simply circling up and down the convoy, almost as if... 'Is it looking something?' Misato thought, 'the only thing that is of value is... Oh no it's after Unit-05' Misato said her eyes widening in realization

Alarms could be heard throughout N.E.R.V as workers and technicians prepare Mazinger for launch, "alright listen up Shinji, I few minutes ago we receive a distress signal from Misato saying that there is an Angel attack, your mission is to provide any back up for them you hear me?" Ritsuko said to the comms
"Yeah, I got it" Shinji said as he turns the Hover Pilder online, "what's the last known location of Misato and the others?" Shinji asked as he wears his helmet, "sending you the data now" Ritsuko said, since Misato was not here she has taken active command of N.E.R.V battle tactics, Shinji stepped on the gas, The White Hover Pilder soon take off towards the Geo front, "Mazin Go!" Shinji shouted, Mazinger Hangar bay opened as the super Robot rise up from the small pond
"Pilder On!" Shinji shouted, The Hover Pilder white wings folded and land on Mazinger crown, Mazingers eyes activated as it stretch its arms up ready for action, "Jet Scrander!" Shinji invoke as he willed Mazinger to Run and jump into the air and the Jet Scrander connected to it, "Scrander Cross!" Shinji shouted, as the Scrander connected to Mazinger belly, Mazinger flew heading towards Misato distress Signal, "Guys, Misato, Rei, Asuka, Please be safe" Shinji muttered

The ship buckled as another explosion occurred, Mari and Asuka could be seen running towards the Hanger bay of Provisional Unit-05, Mari open her sports bag as they both finally arrive, "Alright Asuka ill change into my plug suit, you stay here and help the crew with what ever they need while ill fight of the Angel" Mari said as she started changing into her pink plug suit, "Like hell i will, let me join you!" Asuka said
"With what plug suit? from what i see only i have the plug suit" Mari said with certainty, "And that is where your wrong" Asuka said as she open her bag revealing her red plug suit, "Oh you've got to be kidding me" Mari muttered, "Lets Go Mari!" Asuka said as both of them ran towards the entry plug ready to combat the Angel
"TheFitzgerald has taken a glancing impact to her rear and has heavy damage aft of frame sixteen but is continuing to engage,New Jersey can't depress her guns sufficiently in these close quarters and is disengaging and...oh damnit, we just lost Chabanenko" the Flag Captain groaned as the Improved Udaloy class Destroyer rolled over, showing her keel had been neatly sliced open like the tin can she truly was as she sunk to crash into the underwater cityscape along with more then a few others ships from today.
Admiral Jones tried to keep the rage from his face as more of his men went to their depths. They had thrown an absurd amount of ordinance at this thing, but they were still down almost twenty percent of their ships only ten minutes into this battle! This was going to be the biggest disaster in naval military history since some of the lopsided battles in World War Two if something didn't change!
And he couldn't help but recall what that kid...as well as his friend a few minutes ago.
Only an Eva or Mazin can beat it!
'What the hell is even a Mazin?' The Admiral thought taking a breath, he set his jaw, "What is the position of the Othello?" He asked his Captain glanced at the computerized tactical display which was tracking everything, combining all the various sensors on all the ships into a single unified picture. "She's taking position alongside us Sir" he said in some surprise. The Admiral grunted.
"All stop. Tell the engine room to route all reactor power to that damn external power socket. Captain Katsuragi?"
"Yes Sir?"
"Get that damn thing up and running!"
"Yes Sir" she nodded respectfully, stepping past Shinji's friends and up to the communications console, keying in her NERV priority code and Unit-05 ID. If she knew Mari...

It was an annoying fact that Entry Plugs were very much single person affairs, designed to hold an Evangelions pilot securely in place without any thought as to what would happen when multiple people got inside, Still Asuka managed to find a place to half sit and half stand relatively securely as the entry plug slammed back inside Unit-05 and Mari started her synchronization
She felt only a faint echo of the connection with her Evangelion that She did with Unit-02, unsurprising given that she wasn't wearing neural interface, but she couldn't help but think the connection was...colder, as if the Evangelion itself recognized her as something different, it felt foreign to her
Suddenly the communication window popped up, showing Misato who didn't look at all surprised to see Asuka and Mari in the entry plug, "I should have expected to see you two here" she laughed lightly. "You ready?" She asked the both of them,"Always am" Mari cheerfully declared While Asuka nodded "Power supply is in place and you're right alongside the RainbowMari!" Misato said at the comms, "Roger that. Evangelion Unit-05 Launch, NOW!" Mari shouted
The barely controlled monster that was Evangelion Unit-05 shuddered into life, energy surging from the fuel cells in its chest as it moved, the thick secure tarpaulin covering it shredding against its armor plates as it slowly stood, the bottom of the ships hull groaning in protest as the minimal crew on board ran for the lifeboats, having no desire to be on a ship that was about to become a target
As Unit-05 rose, it's AT field unfolded with a wavy blur that tore the thick canvas into fragments, sloughing into the sea around...and attracting the attention of the 6th Angel like blood in the water for a shark, the wave of water arrowing for the Freighter at high speed,"Mari, Twelve O'clock!" Misato shouted in alarm as the rapidly moving wave arrowed in directly at Unit-05,"I see it Misato" Mari growled in the joy of battle, watching as the power counter started at sixty seconds and started counting backwards. "Hang on Cuz!" she said to her cousin
With a careful flex of her legs, Mari leaped off the Freighter, the force almost snapping the keel as Unit-05 leaped into the sky, seconds before the Angel slammed into the freighter from below, rebounding from the wreck as it shattered and diving deep into a long turn to its left. Far above it, Mari reached the apogee of her AT field assisted leap and Unit-05 plummeted, Asuka yelping behind her in fear to Mari's delight as she thrust her controls forward for more speed, clearly impatient to get down onto the flight deck 'The next time she drives something i won't let her!' Asuka thought as the entry plug shakes
"UNIT-05 COMING IN FOR LANDING!" Mari shouted with glee in her face, the Pink Evangelion spread out its legs preparing for landing on another ship,"Sound collision, all hands brace for impact!" the Flag Captain shouted into the 1MC as Unit-05 leaped off the deck of the doomed freighter into a high arc, its destination rather clear to every ship in the fleet, dozens of sets of binoculars trained onto the terrifying pink figure few of them had seen under those covers as it arced down towards the carrier
All over the flagship, officers and men grabbed onto anything handy a matter of seconds before Unit-05 crashed down, the impact denting the very expensive flight deck and instantly making it unusable for conventional operations, the ship listing heavily and sending a handful of aircraft overboard as their tie downs snapped from the movement before Mari leaned her unit forward and allowed the hundred thousand ton fleet carrier to come level out
"Switching to external power" she called out as she reached down to where the technicians had installed her three kilometer long power cable, expertly snapping it into place in her back as the clock ran down to thirty seconds, then stopped, power flowing into her Eva, "Switch completed" she declared seconds later as the clock stopped, hundreds of megawatts flowing into her systems from the enhanced fusion reactors that had been built into the ship several years ago
"Oh man what a waste!" Kensuke all but sobbed as he tallied the trio of F-14's that had gone overboard, followed by a pair of Su-33's and an E2-D, "The target is approaching rapidly!" the Flag Captain shouted both over the combat channel to Unit-05 as well as the ships intercom, trying to give his crew somekind of warning of this crazy battle as the fleets sonar systems traced the Angel finish its long curve just under the surface, moving forward very, very fast
"You realize we have no room to maneuver and no weapons, don't you?" Asuka asked as the wave front of the Angel arrowed towards them from Starboard at high speed,"The progressive knife will be just fine" Mari grinned, drawing Unit-05 more utilitarian knife from her shoulder holster, the vibrating blade looking rather pathetic in Asuka opinion as the 6th Angel finally surfaced, racing across the water towards them with its enormous bulk
shifting her stance slightly as the Angel raced towards them, bobbed down then leapt, clear out of the water and crashed into the side of the Carrier in an attempt to crush, Mari barely dodged the surprise maneuver, grabbing onto the side of it as it crashed onto the deck, her progressive knife going flying from the impact while support beams under the flight deck groaned at a weight they had never been designed to hold.
"Looking good Mari" Misato cheerfully commented, just before Mari looking for firmer footing, shifted onto one of the numerous aircraft elevators, which promptly collapsed under the full force of Unit-05 straining leg muscles, upsetting their balance and cart wheeling the Angel and Evangelion into the sea, the power cord rapidly unwinding behind them.
"So much for hand to hand combat" Asuka muttered just loud enough for Mari to hear as the Angel swam deep at speed, crashing itself into the cityscape again and again in an attempt to loose the parasite clinging to it, The Second Child snarled something in her native language that Mari guessed wasnotcomplementary, both of them hanging on for dear life as the Angel crashed through the sunken ruins of what used to be the Original Tokyo City before Second Impact

"How much cable is left?" Misato asked, feeling her hopes sink about as fast as Unit-05, watching as the Cable was pulled every which way across the flight deck as it unwound sending more multi million dollar aircraft to Davy Jones, care of N.E.R.V,"Twelve hundred meters and dropping" the Flag Capitan called out, studying the cable reel with his binoculars. The super conductive core was heavily insulated then wrapped in many thousands carbon nanotube segments that gave great flexibility while making it astonishingly strong, but it meant the crew on the flight deck had to keep the hell out of the way of it as it thrashed left, then right, then left again, sparks flying off the deck as it grinded through small fixtures here and there.
"I'm Picking something up from the sky heading right towards us at high speed!" One of the soldier said, "WHAT!?" Jones shouted, "How long before it reaches us?" The Admiral ordered, "From the loos of it its already here above us!" The soldier said, Crew members and the N.E.R.V people went to the window to look up at what it is, Misato and the others smiled when they saw it, "Shinji" Misato muttered, above the Navy fleet stood Mazinger flying in the air looking down at the fleet
"Shinji could you hear me?" Misato said over at the comms, "Yea, man am i glad you guys are safe" Shinji replied at the comms letting everyone know his presence, "Alright where is this Angel?" Shinji ask, "Under the water!" Toji said pointing to Unit-05 last known location, "Alright stay here ill take care of this!" Shinji said, "SCRANDER OFF!" Shinji invoke as Mazinger was disconnected from The Jet Scrander and falling towards the sea, ready to combat the shark whale like creature
