His Mom would be so angry. He'd never been in a police cell before. He was relieved they'd only asked him about Cheryl and the girl in the blue dress so far. He didn't know how to explain why he hid in Mr. Mason's car.

He felt like crying again. He tried to think of good things.

The policeman in the suit was nice. He'd said that Andy wasn't in trouble. And when he said that he'd been hiding in the school with Cheryl, the man seemed really happy.

They promised to phone his Mom and maybe Mr. Mason could take him home when they found Cheryl. He was surprised nobody had found him before.

He was glad Mr. Mason didn't get hurt in the crash. He would be mad though.

Andy wanted to go home.

Nobody understood why they'd been hiding in the school. He tried to explain about the giant cockroaches and stuff, but they just kept asking 'who were you hiding from?' and 'why were you hiding?'.

Maybe they didn't believe him about the monsters. The school did look different this morning. No bugs, no darkness, normal floors and walls. Much nicer. But they had been there, the monsters. Some tried to bite him but he hadn't got hurt. He wanted Cheryl and the older girl to be alright.

The door opened. It was the nice policeman. His name was Edward.

"There's someone here to see you Andy."
