Everyone stared at Hunter with looks of disappointment. Except for Willow, whom had a pained smile that was meant to encourage her boyfriend.
"What?! That was it?!" Amity exclaimed.
"An ambiguous ending." Hunter replied.
"That was a real cop out!" Gus exclaimed. "It's like you were making stuff up as you went along! Also, why do I need to die in every story?"
"Huh?" Luz asked.
"The last two stories my characters, who are obviously me, have died." Gus replied. "Is this part of that offensive stereotype where people like me tend to die?"
"What type of people?" Hunter asked.
"You know….The shortest in the group." Gus replied.
There was an awkward pause between the groups as they looked at Gus. "Not what I was expecting but…The story still sucked Hunter." Luz wiped some sweat from her brow and unbuttoned the first two buttons from the top of her shirt.
Hunter took notice of Luz looking even more increasingly uncomfortable. Whatever it was, was worrying and concerning him.
"What do you think Willow?" Gus asked. "Did you think your boyfriend's story was scary?"
Willow cringed. "Well….Well…Of course I think it's great…I thought it was creepy. Especially with the Hooty alien."
Hunter exhaled. "It sucked didn't it?"
Willow exhaled. "It did, Hunter, I'm sorry." Hunter sighed. "Hey, but I did like the lead."
"So did I." Hunter responded.
Willow grinned flirtatiously. "She sounded rather hot."
Hunter, understanding what she was implying, decided to play along. "Well, she was hot. Perhaps, just as hot as this woman sitting next to me."
Willow smiled shined brightly. "How muscular was she?" She flexed her bicep.
Hunter smiled. "Well, just as muscular as you were. Perhaps, in some capacity, you were the inspiration for Wipley."
The rest of the group just gave the couple some deadpan stares. Gus took a glance at Luz and Amity. "And I thought you two were bad."
Amity sighed. "Alright, you want my story? This is a story about a person of law enforcement thrust into a situation unfamiliar to her. As she has to fight a dangerous predator on land on at sea. This is the story of Beak!"
