Trinity General School is one of the three biggest schools in Kivotos alongside Gehenna Academy and Millennium Science School. It also had an ongoing rivalry with Gehenna due to their school's opposing philosophies.
While Gehenna prides itself with freedom and chaos, Trinity on the other hand is a school that prides itself with working together with others in harmony. This is due to Trinity having its own tumultuous history where different smaller schools were at odds with each other before they eventually banded together to form what is now Trinity. As for why they united to form a bigger school, perhaps it was to form a united front against their common enemy, Gehenna.
It did not escape Sensei's attention that Gehenna was filled with students with demonic traits, while the Trinity students he knew have angelic characteristics and/or carry themselves with a certain level of decorum. His impression of the latter was only reinforced as he observed a group of Trinity students while walking on the pavement with Suzumi, who had taken it upon herself to guide him towards his destination. They were having tea in a gazebo made out of marble while discussing what Sensei could only describe as "rich ladies' talk".
One of the girls made a laugh that was oddly reminiscent of someone he knew that he had to do a double-take before he slowly shook his head. Suzumi noticed this and asked Sensei if there was something wrong.
"Ah, no," Sensei said. "It's just that one of the students' laugh just now reminded me of an old friend of mine. Now that I think about it, that student also sported the same drill hairstyle as her…"
Suzumi giggled a little at that. "It must be quite the coincidence."
As Sensei and Suzumi moved on, the former's thoughts went back to his observations regarding Trinity and Gehenna's dichotomy and the shared traits between each school's students.
With that said, it would be unfair to lump every single student to a single type. I've seen Trinity and Gehenna students that carry themselves contrary to the popular stereotypes of their respective schools, Sensei thought as he remembered Hifumi, Kayoko, and Hina.
Hifumi was especially surprising, as her obsession with Peroro merch made her entirely willing to brave the black market district, which was the last place you would expect an otherwise average Trinity student would be.
Then his gaze landed on Suzumi, who was currently walking in front of him. There's still a lot he didn't know about her, but he had to respect how proactive she was in helping maintain the peace in the Trinity district.
As for why Sensei was in Trinity while carrying a box of sweets, it had to do with a certain request from one Kirifuji Nagisa, who was the current 'host' of the Tea Party, Trinity's Student Council. It wasn't unheard of, but Sensei still wasn't entirely sure why Trinity had three presidents, or what being the current host entailed beyond what Arona told him, but he could tell that it had to do with the school's past.
As for the box of sweets, it was an educated guess based on the council's name. That, and he realized by now that his food was a great way to break the ice.
Finally, he reached the building where the Tea Party was located as he approached the students that wore the Tea Party's uniform.
"We've arrived, Sensei," Suzumi said. "It was a nice change of pace to walk with you, even if it was only briefly."
"Feel free to swing by SCHALE if you're free," Sensei said.
"I will."
And with that, Suzumi excused herself to continue her patrol as Sensei approached the Tea Party guards.
…
…
…
At the same time, in the Tea Party's room…
"He should be arriving any time soon now…" Nagisa said as she sat on her chair while sipping from her cup to calm her nerves. She had heard rumors of how Sensei had incredibly high standards when it came to food, so she spared no expense at preparing the best desserts and tea she could prepare without putting him off.
"Nagi, I think you're overdoing it," Mika said on the side. "I don't think Sensei's going to be too particular with the details."
"Maybe, but it's still a good way to show our sincerity to him," Nagisa replied.
"If you say so…" Mika said as she glanced at the door. "I do wonder what Sensei looks like."
"You haven't seen a picture of him yet?"
"I have, but many of them were taken from a distance, and secretly at that," Mika said, before adding, "I just want to know if he's as handsome as the pictures showed."
"Of course that's the reason you're here…" Nagisa rolled her eyes before she giggled. "It's good to see that you're doing well, Mika."
"It has been a while, hasn't it?" The two childhood friends seldom had time to sit down and talk like this due to their own responsibilities as the fellow presidents and leaders of their respective factions.
Their pleasant talk was cut short as a knock was heard from the door. Nagisa straightened her back as she gave the permission to enter. The door slowly opened to reveal an officer of the Tea Party guiding an older man inside.
The man's uniform was carrying the insignia for SCHALE, confirming his identity.
"Greetings, Sensei." Nagisa said as she and Mika stood up from their seats to approach the man. "We formally welcome you to the Tea Party."
…
…
…
"Please, take a seat," Nagisa said as she gestured for Sensei to follow her after the Tea Party officer excused herself.
"Thank you," Sensei said as he made his way to the indicated seat. After sitting down, he turned his attention to the other girl on the table. "Oh, and here are some sweets from me."
Sensei handed the box of sweets to Nagisa, who received it with a smile before opening it. She widened her eyes in astonishment.
"Wow, it looks really good!" Mika said. "Where did you buy this, Sensei?"
"Oh, I made it with some help from a student," Sensei said with a smile. "I thought it wouldn't be apt for me to come empty-handed."
"Really? You shouldn't have, but thank you," Nagisa said with a smile as she and Mika took one out from the box.
Sensei's gift wouldn't look out of place on the Tea Party's table at all, Nagisa thought as she glanced at Mika, who became petrified after taking a bite out of it. Nagisa became concerned as to whether the food was poisoned as she glanced at Sensei.
"Don't worry, that's usually how people react when they taste my food for the first time," Sensei said with a wry smile as he ate one of his sweets. "You'll understand after you take a bite."
I see…" Nagisa was still concerned, but decided that Sensei had no reason to poison her, so she also took a bite.
Nagisa quickly understood why Mika was paralyzed.
Sensei's food was just that delicious that even Nagisa, who had had her fair share of delicious, high quality food, was taken aback. This level of food was something that you would expect at an expensive restaurant.
"S…Sensei, how much do I owe you for this?" Nagisa said as she looked at the confused teacher. "The ingredients used could not have been cheap."
"Nonono, I didn't add anything special to that, you know?" Sensei replied. "That, and as I've said, this is a gift."
"But Sensei, even for a gift, this is just…"
"Please, just think of this as me expressing my sincerity. I'll be happy as long as you enjoy it."
"But…I understand." At the back of her mind, Nagisa was already apologizing as she was about to take advantage of this honest man to further her plans. But she had her own responsibilities as the current host of the Tea Party.
Such concerns were momentarily blown away by her childhood friend's words.
"Sensei, please marry me~" Mika said in her stupor.
"Mika, what are you saying?!"
"Nagi, someone like Sensei doesn't come often!" Mika exclaimed. "You get it, right?!"
"E-Even if that's the case, there's a time and place for these types of things!"
"Ahaha…" Sensei made an awkward laugh.
It took a few more minutes and Nagisa losing her composure before talks progressed once more. And even then Nagisa had to stop herself from eating more of Sensei's food. It was just too good that it was distracting her!
Mika, however, had no such concerns as she ate a bit more. Nagisa had to stop Mika from eating all of it while keeping Sensei from noticing.
…
…
…
Sensei made sure to pretend not to notice the silent war that happened between the two with regards to his gift. He supposed it would be fine. If needed he could just bring them more of his cooking the next time he visited.
As for the matter at hand, Nagisa called Sensei over to discuss the matter of helping a group of students who were in danger of being expelled due to their poor academic performance.
"That seems reasonable enough," Sensei said as he accepted the request. Nagisa handed him the list of students who were going to form a temporary club called the "Make-Up Work Club".
One of the names nearly made Sensei choke on his tea.
"Sensei, are you okay?" Mika asked in alarm.
"Y-Yeah, don't worry," Sensei replied as he managed to keep them from asking why he nearly choked in the first place.
Hifumi…You and I will be having words.
