The team entered the ghost down. In front of them was a blue transparent ghost named Gallant.
Gallant:Hey! Are you a pie salesman? Oh please tell me you are!
Gallant: No, I guess not. That evil eyeball came and outlawed all pies in this town. Just about the worst thing a person, er - or part of a person could do. His name is Occulous and he showed up a little while ago. He doesn't approve of pies. He also wants us to do terrible things to the Living. But none of us really want that. We just want to eat pie. Is that so wrong?
Gallant: Hey! have an idea. Maybe you can help us kick Occulous out of this town for good? It won't be easy though. You'll have to make your way through some kind of crazy maze to get to his lair.
Gallant then saw Ghost Roaster. Even for a Ghost, Gallant's face turned extraordinarily pale.
Gallant: You are not going to eat me are you?
Sunburn looked at Ghost Roaster: What's this about?
Ghost Roaster: I might have eaten an entire spectral village. It's why I have this chain whip.
Gallant: Pls don't hurt us! We just want to eat pie!
Ghost Roaster: EYE think I can eat one!
Gallant: Oh please no!
Ghost Roaster points at his eye: Eye think one will be roasted.
Gallant: how do you know I can trust you?
Ghost Roaster: Ask the Stump Demons on the path to the village. I forgot you can't!
Ghost Roaster did a lock puzzle and acquired a Legendary treasure! Was this about to be the most deadly item with Undead history? Was this something that would be frightful on Halloween?
Ghost Roaster: This Flamingo will make perfect house decoration. Thank you Gallant.
Slam Bam did a puzzle with a treasure chest. As soon Sunburn changed it to the ghost world. A silhouette of a treasure chest now turned into a real treasure chest.
Sunburn: okay I'm changing it to the real world now so we can get to the maze.
Sunburn stepped on the platform again.
The dead and sanitary tree branches became alive and turned into Stump Demons.
The stump demons injured Slam Bam but failed at defeating him. The trio ultimately bested the Stump Demons and headed for the maze.
As the trio walked down, they were now at the entrance of the maze, aligned with beautiful green grass.
Sunburn pushed the right-hand block forward twice to get around it. Next to the locked gate ahead Ghost Roaster saw another moveable block, and pushed it left twice to get past and into a hedge lined path with a Chompy Pod. The Chompy Pod stood no chance against Ghost Roaster and his skull charge turned it into a Ghost. Ghost Roaster went to a teleporter at the bottom of the Lighthouse, he found one of the three needed keys.
Sunburn used the Shifting Platform on the other side and went north where there were some Haunted Knights. To the left of them was a block that needed to be pushed. Sunburn pushed it out of the way and proceeded to turn his fire breath into a literal flamethrower which obliterated the Haunted Knights. Sunburn shifted the world back to the real world. The dead bramble turned into luscious grass.
Sunburn burned down the Stump Demon and acquired a treasure chest as well as the second needed key.
Slam Bam hopped onto a teleporter. Right in front of him was a Stump Demon. He used his surfboard to dodge the attacks of the bark menace. He beat them up with his fists and in front of him was the last of the three keys needed.
The three met up and unlocked the gate. It was now just them and Occulous.
They walked through the entrance obstacle with relative ease but what was in store for them was no easy task.
They walked down the platform and in front of them was the giant eyeball himself.
Occulous: So you made it through my maze huh? Well I guess, it's time to get my tentacles dirty. I think it is time I introduce you to my Stump Demons!
Ghost Roaster: No need to introduce them to us, we are familiar with them.
Occulous:No more, Mr. Nice Eye!
Sunburn to Ghost Roaster: You just had to make him angry?
After passing some cannons, Ghost Roaster walked to and activated the spectral shifting platform and now Occulous's purple tentacle turned into the tan one that they were all familiar with. The Stump Demons turned into dead looking immobile branches. Right next to them was Gallant.
Gallant: I've heard there is a way to defeat Occulous but you have to be in the real world to do it. And since ghosts like me only live in the Ghost World, we'll need you to do the honors.
Gallant pointed at the Cannons that Ghost Roaster had passed.
Gallant: There is a cannon in the real world. It's just the thing to shoot right in his giant eyeball.
Gallant then pointed at a pink pole with an orb on top of it.
Gallant: Use that Activator, and it will pull you and Occulous into the real world, then just fire that cannon right into his eye!
Ghost Roaster nodded. The ghoul looked at his two teammates.
Ghost Roaster: Sunburn, you go to the right. Slam Bam, you go to the left. The third cannon is right next to the activator, when we are pulled in, we fire all three simultaneously and Occulous should be defeated.
They dodged the Giant Eyeball's lasers and Ghost Roaster used the activator and the four of them were pulled into the real world.
Ghost Roaster skull charged and quickly activated the first cannon. Sunburn with his fire breath activated the other.
Occulous was hit by two cannons and it left some dirt on the Giant Eye. He was very angry.
Slam Bam was just about to activate the third cannon but behind were the Stump Demons they didn't take care of. Occulous used his laser eye and with the combined damage of the Stump Demons, Slam Bam disappeared.
Ghost Roaster and Sunburn rushed together to the third cannon from opposite sides. The Stump Demons were made quick work of.
Occulous wounded Sunburn with his laser and the Phoenix was having trouble walking. Ghost Roaster skull charged and grabbed the phoenix by the neck and tail. He was now in front of the cannon.
Occulous: What are you doing?
Ghost Roaster holding Sunburn, activated the Phoenix like it was his own flamethrower.
Ghost Roaster: You're fired!
The fire activated the cannon and the third cannonball hit Occulous right in the eye and sent the eye spiraling away.
Ghost Roaster put the Phoenix down.
Sunburn: Thanks for coming back for me. I got you this.
Sunburn handed him a pumpkin hat.
Sunburn: You'd make a great pumpkin king!
Ghost Roaster: I'm good, you keep it friend as a memory of this wild mission.
Gallant: You did it! Occulous' reign of terror is over! It's now time for the reign of pies!
Batterson and a crowd of ghosts were cheering on the two Skylanders. A ghost who was selling action figures of Spyro, Gill Grunt, and Trigger Happy, dumped all those figures onto the floor and put out countless Ghost Roaster figures.
Ghost Roaster could overhear a young Ghost saying this to his mom.
Young Ghost: Mommy, (points at Ghost Roaster), I want to be just like him when I grow up! A hero for the Undead!
Ghosts were shouting the name: "Ghost Roaster!"
The two Skylanders and Batterson left the crowd.
Batterson: The Ghosts are happy. I'm making a fortune and am REALLY happy! And it's all thanks to you! Hmmm. I think I have another win-win idea. I'll have these Ghosts deliver pies all throughout the Skylands. That way I'll expand my business and you can get extra health bonuses! Pies are very healthy, you know? At least here in our world. Keep an eye out for them. No pun intended!
Ghost Roaster thought to himself: I know I will never be able to bring back the ghosts I ate, but at least I helped these ones. I always thought being a Skylander was just being famous... but now I realize I can be forever happy while making others happy, ah... I hope I can keep helping both dead and living as long as I am here, feels nice.
