Hello all Storm here with not just one, but two chapters! Here we'll be seeing the aftermath of the Konoha Crush, both in the village and with the survivors after they escaped. Here we'll first be getting a look in the village, with the chapter getting pretty dark as we see just how depraved and twisted Jiraiya can be. So, without further ado.
I own nothing
Two days had passed since the Konoha Crush, as people had begun calling it, with the village having suffered many losses and damage done across Konoha. Bodies of those that died were still being located and buried, some of which they were still trying to identify.
Though Konoha was still standing, the village had been dealt a heavy blow with the death of the Sandaime Hokage and a member of the Konoha Council, Danzō Shimura. Even the knowledge they brought Orochimaru down with them wasn't enough to lift the village's spirits.
The surviving members of the Konoha Council, Koharu Utatane and Homura Mitokado, were currently walking through the Konoha Hospital. With them being joined by Shikaku Nara, Inoichi Yamanaka and Chōza Akimichi.
All three of the Clan Heads looking worse for wear, none of them looking to have slept in the past couple of days nor seem to have bothered to even change their clothes. None of them having been able to find the energy to do…anything, really, beyond what was required of them. With Shikaku and Chōza having had to bury their sons while Inoichi was going mad worried for where Ino was.
Unable to even feel relief that her body wasn't among those that died as at least then he would've known what happened, no matter how painful it'd be to bury his own daughter. Now he could only worry and wonder about what could've happened to her. Was she as lost? Was she captured? Was she okay, was she hurt? All of these questions leaving him torn between worrying for her and trying to help his friends/teammates.
Not only that, but they were also mourning how they also lost their teacher. Having been the second team the Sandaime trained, keeping with the tradition of a Sarutobi training the next Ino-Shika-Cho Formation.
Leaving all three of them doing everything they can to simply keep going after all the losses they've suffered, in such a short amount of time. Even feeling relieved when the Elders summoned them, giving the Clan Heads a distraction from the grief and pain.
"Why is it you called us, here?" Chōza asked tiredly, while glad for the distraction he would like to know why the Elders wanted to meet them at the hospital.
"Is it news about Ino?" Questioned Shikaku, wanting to know if at least one of their kids survived, with Inoichi looking at them in a mix of hope and dread.
The logically side of him that represented his Shinobi training and experience made Inoichi not want to feel hope if it involved his daughter, not until he saw her with his own eyes. But the more emotional side of him, born from the love that only a parent could have, had Inoichi praying to any deity he can think of for Ino's health and that she was perfectly fine. At worse, suffering from nothing more than a few scrapes and a mild scare.
Even a broken arm or leg would be preferrable, given the fates that could befall a captured Kunoichi. Especially on the battlefield, where anything can happen…
"Unfortunately, we have still yet to locate Genin Yamanaka, I'm sorry Inoichi." Koharu said, looking at the Yamanaka Clan Head in sympathy.
"It's…it's fine, I…I merely have to hope that Ino will be found soon. Now why is it you needed us?" Inoichi asked, turning back to the matter at hand.
"We need to know what happened to Jiraiya." Homura said as they arrived at the Toad Sannin's room, shocking the fifteenth Ino-Shika-Cho Trio at the sight inside.
Seeing Jiraiya laying in a hospital bed covered in blood-stained bandages, several stab wounds across his body that were stitched shut, his left arm and legs in casts with his right arm being cut off at the elbow. His head was also wrapped in bandages, along with seeing he's missing several teeth.
It was honestly a miracle he's even alive with all his injuries, his chest moving being the only sign Jiraiya was alive.
"Who…what could've done this to him?" Chōza asked in disbelief, wondering who or what could leave one of the Sannin in such a state.
"We don't know. After the invasion ended and Medical-Ninja went out to collect the wounded and deceased, they found Jiraiya unconscious in the street like this. They were lucky to find him when they did, otherwise he would've died from blood loss. All that we know is the trail of blood he left behind went all back to where we found dozens of bodies, among them your were sons, Shikaku, Chōza. As well as those of Genin Inuzuka and Genin Aburame." Koharu explained, making the Clan Heads clench their fists at the knowledge.
They knew where their sons' bodies were found, along with dozens of other Konoha Ninja and Anbu, including Kiba Inuzuka's and Shino Aburame's own bodies. But there wasn't any Oto or Suna Ninja among the dead, meaning whoever was responsible had to have been an unknown third party attacker. Which is what really kept them up, not knowing who killed Shikamaru and Chōji or why they did it.
"So…whoever did this to Jiraiya…it's likely the same person, or persons, who killed Shikamaru and Chōji?" Shikaku asked rhetorically, wanting to know who's responsible to avenge his and Chōza's sons, along with Inoichi's daughter if it turns out she was killed as well.
"We believe so, but we can't be sure, Jiraiya's shown no sign of waking up since being brought to the hospital. Whoever did this…they weren't aiming to kill Jiraiya. The Medic-Nin that tended to him found that all the wounds inflicted seemed to purposefully miss anything vital. Meaning the person, or persons, responsible intentionally did this. Wanting to draw out Jiraiya's pain for as long as possible." Replied Homura, with Inoichi nodding in understanding.
"Which is why I'm here, you want me to look through his memories to find out what happened." Inoichi stated, the Elders nodded in response.
"Indeed. If you can enter Jiraiya's mind, find his memories of what happened, then we can find out who is responsible for the loss of several Clan Heirs and Ninja. Perhaps even learn of what happened to your daughter, Inoichi." Said Koharu, wanting to know who could've beaten Jiraiya and brutalized him in such a way.
"Are you sure you can do it, Inoichi?" Chōza asked, looking at his friend, as while he wanted to know who killed his son more than anything, he wasn't sure if Inoichi would be able to handle seeing what happened on top of everything else.
"I have to. If we want to know what happened, I need to do this…for all of us." Said Inoichi, knowing it needs to be done no matter what he sees.
Seeing he wouldn't back down, Shikaku and Chōza backed away to give him some room to work as Koharu and Homura did the same. Approaching the unconscious Toad Sage, Inoichi placed his hand on top of Jiraiya's head and closed his eyes.
"Psycho Mind Transmission." Inoichi said as he entered into Jiraiya's mind.
Jiraiya's Mind*
The moment appeared in the Sannin's mind; nothing could've prepared Inoichi for what he saw within. Gasping in shock, horror and pure disgust at everything before him, Inoichi could only describe it as…hellish, sick and twisted...
Something only the deepest most disturbed and depraved minds could conjure up. Even the moment he opened his eyes the Yamanaka Clan Head felt ready to throw up everything in his stomach.
As before him were dozens of women, all naked or having scraps of clothing that did nothing to cover them, all of them being brutally raped and violated in every possible way. Whether being bound in chains, repeatedly whipped, locked in cages and wooden stocks, strapped to racks. It didn't stop there as he even saw a stage where women were being auctioned off and sold as slaves. And everywhere he looked, there were brothels where he could hear only screams coming from within.
But the worst part is that many of the women Inoichi even recognized as being other Konoha Kunoichi, both living and dead ones.
Kurenai Yuhi.
Anko Mitarashi.
Yūgao Uzuki.
Tsume Inuzuka.
Hana Inuzuka.
Kushina Uzumaki.
Mikoto Uchiha.
Hitomi Hyūga
Tsunade Senju.
Shizune Katō.
They and so many more Kunoichi, and not just from Konoha he also saw ones from Suna, Kiri, Kumo and Iwa, as well as other Minor Villages. All of them were being violated, humiliated, raped, tortured, sold and bought…by Jiraiya…
Dozens and dozens of clones of Jiraiya, himself, could be seen buying and selling them to do whatever he wants with them. All while killing the women that were completely broken before an exact copy of the woman that was killed took her place, so they could be broken all over again for nothing more than the sick thrill and enjoyment of the Jiraiya clones.
'O-o-o-oh…Oh Kami… Th-thi-this is…' Inoichi thought while covering his mouth, feeling like he really was going to be sick at the sight of this…unholy mix of a demonic sex trafficking ring, hellish black market and red light district.
The Yamanaka Clan Head had been inside many minds over the years in the T Department, having seen all different kinds, many different secrets others would like to keep buried. But this one…this was the mind of someone that didn't think, feel or care for anyone but themselves. Someone who could kill anyone they want without feeling a thing, whether they're a man, woman or child. Inoichi knew he just entered the mind of a true sociopath.
'I…I need to find what happened, now!' Inoichi thought, wanting to find out what happened and get out here, not wanting to stay here any longer than he needed to.
Quickly leaving the hellish red light district, Inoichi began looking through Jiraiya's memories while knowing he needed to be careful. A sociopath's mind is one of the most dangerous you could enter, as you can really only expect to find the worst.
Though Inoichi's disgust and horror only grew once he started looking through Jiraiya's memories, finding memories of him spying on women not just in hot springs or when they're bathing. But even in their own homes, whether looking through their windows or, sickeningly, inside while they were unaware.
'I'm really gonna be sick.' Inoichi thought quickly moving past the memories when he started seeing Jiraiya watching women while they slept and getting himself…the Clan Head covered his mouth again when he felt the vomit coming up.
Moving fast, Inoichi went to the most recent memories to just find out what happened, only to feel anger growing along with his horror and disgust. Finding out that the Rookie Genin and their teachers had been attacked by ROOT Anbu and other Konoha Ninja that sided with Danzō. All of them trying to capture Naruto so Danzō could turn him into a weapon, along with two strange girls that had suddenly appeared during the month break. They were the ones that killed Shikamaru and Chōji, having died defending Ino when they tried killing her. Along with killing Shino, Kiba and Asuma as well.
And the entire time…Jiraiya was watching!
The entire fight, Jiraiya was watching them die yet did nothing to help or interfere. Only jumping in when the fighting was practically over, yet it wasn't to help anyone. Instead, he attacked Naruto and revealed his intention to kill him and everyone else. Including Sasuke, who planned to train as his apprentice to fulfill some prophecy.
Only being stopped by those strange girls, with Inoichi not even feeling horrified as they brutalized the Toad Sage. The only thing he felt was torn on wanting them to inflict more pain on such a monster and simply killing him outright. With them only stopping so those that survived could escape with Naruto before he died from the Rasengan strike. Before a horrifying thought entered his mind.
'If Jiraiya get his hands on the Scroll of Seals, what I saw back there could very well become a reality…' Inoichi thought in horror as he remembered how the women that Jiraiya's clones had broken were killed, only to be brought back to life to be raped and broken all over again.
Suna had been handing over how their prosthetic limbs were developed to help treat the injured as compensation for their actions in the invasion. Their skill and mastery in Kugutsu making it to where the prosthetics they make weren't just indistinguishable from an actual human limb or other suitable body parts. But they can be modified with various mechanics and Fūinjutsu to make these prosthetics into a weapon, in of themselves.
Something that a Fūinjutsu Master and a Trap-Master of Jiraiya's level could mold like clay to become even more powerful and dangerous than he was initially. All while his status as a Sannin and one of the Sandaime Hokage's original students makes him the most likely candidate for the title of Hokage.
And as the Hokage, Jiraiya would have unrestricted access to the Nidaime Hokage's Edo Tensei and give him the means to make that Hell a reality!
'I've seen enough! This monster needs to-' Inoichi thought, swearing he's going to cut Jiraiya's head off himself for what he's done and planned to do.
But before he could leave the Sannin's mind, Inoichi gagged when someone wrapped their hands around his throat before he was turned around coming face-to-face with Jiraiya.
"Didn't anyone ever teach you, it's not nice looking through a comrades mind without permission? Especially someone that's prepared for such a thing." Jiraiya asked, having trained himself to not just be prepare in the event someone ever tried infiltrating his mind, but also be able to peer into the mind of the person in question as well, as he increased his grip around Inoichi's neck as the Yamanaka Clan Head was fighting to breathe and pry his hands off.
"Y-yo-yo-yo-you…n-n-n-no-no-no…c-c-co-co-co-com-comrade…m-m-m-mo-m-mo-mo-mon-monster…" Inoichi choked while glaring at the Toad Sage, gripping Jiraiya's wrists as tightly as he could as he tried to remove Jiraiya's hands from his neck, who didn't even flinch at the remark.
"You know, Inoichi, it really didn't have to be this way… Oh well, give Sarutobi-sensei my regards and I'll be sure to give your regards to your little bitch daughter, I did like the idea of the undying slave harem that I can constantly break to the point where my cock and sperm is ingrained into their very soul. But I'll save that for the celebration, once I've attained godhood with the Child of the Prophecy as the Herald of my Will! Consider it, thanks for the help." Said Jiraiya with a twisted smirk as he wanted Inoichi to die, knowing what he'll be doing to Ino when he gets his hands on her.
The Toad Sage then moved his hands up grabbing Inoichi's head before he began channeling Chakra into it. Using the same steps as the Rasengan, rotating his Chakra, putting a lot of power into it and containing it.
Resulting in Inoichi screaming in pure agony as he felt his skull and brain being forcibly contort and distorted in different directions, along with a building pressure in his head. With blood leaking out of his eyes, ears, nose and mouth as the veins on his head began forming into cracks in bursts of blood and flesh. Until not a moment later…Inoichi's head popped just like a water balloon, splattering blood all over Jiraiya, who didn't so much as blink at what he did.
"Now to deal with the other mess." Jiraiya stated as he faded from his mindscape.
*Real World*
Meanwhile, back in the real world, Shikaku, Chōza, Koharu and Homura waited for Inoichi to come out of Jiraiya's mind and reveal what he learned.
Only for their eyes to widen when they saw blood starting to leak out from Inoichi's eyes, ears, nose and mouth, before it started leaking out of cracks forming from the veins on his head.
"Inoi-" Shikaku and Chōza screamed, moving to get to their friend, but they were too late.
None of them had a moment to react before Inoichi's head exploded sending blood, skull fragments and grey matter flying everywhere, including all over them. Leaving the Elders and Clan Heads frozen in shock and horror at the sight of Inoichi's headless corpse, blood spraying out of his neck. Until it soon dropped to the floor, snapping them out of their shock.
Koharu couldn't stop herself from screaming at the sight, even with everything she's seen in her life as an active Ninja and during wartimes, this was beyond nearly anything she's experienced. While Homura leaned against the wall for support, covering his mouth as he fought the urge to vomit.
Chōza though had no such restraint, falling to his hands and knees, puking up everything in his stomach as tears of disgust and pain streamed down his face. Both at Inoichi's death as well as how he could actually taste blood and who knows what else that landed in his mouth, much to his horror.
With Shikaku only able to stand frozen at the sight of one of his oldest friends dying so violently right in front of him, only able to let out a choked cry at the sight of Inoichi's body.
"Wh-what's going on? WHAT HAPPENED?!" Jiraiya groaned as he "woke up" only to look "horrified" at the sight of the blood everywhere and Inoichi's headless body.
"You tell us?! Inoichi went into your head to find out what happened to our children, now he's dead from whatever happened in there! What did he see?!" Shikaku demanded, glaring at the Toad Sage with tears and suspicions in his eyes.
"Wh-what?! That's Inoichi?! I don't know what happened, I've been unconscious for…I don't even know how long it's been, let alone how that could've happened!" Said Jiraiya, seamlessly acting just as confused and freaked out as the rest of them.
"T-tw-tw-two…d-d-da-d-da-days." Homura said, once he was no longer felt like he was going to puke, himself.
"Two…days? Kami, I…can barely remember what happened…wait…" Jiraiya said, rubbing his head at the "shock" that he's been unconscious for two days before "remembering" what happened.
"What is it?! What happened?!" Demanded Chōza, wiping his mouth, wanting to know what happened that cost them their friend along with their sons.
"Those girls! The ones that suddenly showed up and started hanging around the Jinchūriki brat! They're the ones who did this to me with…I don't even know how to describe what they did!" Said Jiraiya, glancing around to see he had their attention.
"S-st-st-start…start from the…beginning Jiraiya. What happened?" Koharu said, wanting to know exactly what he's talking about.
"The brat and those two girls, they did this! Them along with the rest of the Genin and their teachers, they all went crazy! The moment the invasion started, they sided with Oto and Suna then they began killing anyone in their way, I saw them helping Oto and Suna Ninja attacking other Konoha Ninja. The only ones that actually stayed loyal were Team Ten, I…I'm sorry Shikaku, Chōza. But they killed Shikamaru and Chōji, I tried stopping them but it was too late." Explained Jiraiya, looking down in "shame" at his "failure", while the Clan Heads stumbled at learning how their sons died.
"What…what about Ino?" Shikaku asked, wanting to know what happened to Inoichi's daughter.
"She was still alive, last I saw, but who knows what they're planning to do to her. Especially the Uzumaki brat, he was actually laughing as he killed people. I swear, I even heard him say he was going to "take care" of Ino before he killed Chōji." Said Jiraiya, shivering as if in fear.
"HE WHAT?!" Chōza shouted, enraged to hear just who killed his son and what happened to Ino.
"Yeah, but what else would you expect from a Jinchūriki, they were never the most stable of Ninja. Just look at his summons, only someone as crazy as Orochimaru would be able to summon snakes if he wasn't given the contract by that snake bastard, himself. He even made Kurenai kill Asuma and the Hyūga girl kill her own teammates. I don't know how, but the brat clearly is messed up to do that." Said Jiraiya, mentally smirking at seeing the anger growing on their faces.
"Orochimaru is dead, the Sandaime and Danzō killed him." Shikaku stated, clenching his fists at what he's hearing.
"I'm not sure that's as good as you think it is. If the brat and the rest of those that sided with him, if they did join Orochimaru then no one's holding the brats leash, anymore. Who knows what he'll do now without anyone trying to stop him. I tried stopping them, but those two girls that were recently seen with him. I don't think they're human with what they did to me. And whatever happened to Inoichi, they must've somehow messed with my head, probably to make sure no one finds out what they did or what they're planning next. And I don't know if it was a one-time thing or if it'll happen to anyone that tries looking in my mind. But until we found out more, it's probably best if we don't have anyone else try looking again." Jiraiya explained, "concerned" at anyone else getting killed by going in his head.
"Yes…yes, you're right, Jiraiya, if what you say is true and the Jinchūriki did ally himself with Orochimaru and non-human beings, then he and those that joined him are far more dangerous than we anticipated." Koharu said, not believing they've suffered such a major blow with so many prominent Ninja betraying the village.
"Yeah, no kidding. I don't think we can even take any chances with them. If anyone finds them, then they should treat them like any other enemy and be killed on sight. Otherwise, there's no telling what will happen and we can't risk anymore Ninja being killed. It might be harsh, but it's necessary with the village in such a delicate state as it is." Said Jiraiya, pleased when they all nodded in agreement.
"Jiraiya's right, the fact so many Ninja have turned traitor so suddenly is already a blow to the village's morale. But with all those they've killed; we can't take any chances. They needed to be eliminated, no matter what, before they can become an even greater threat." Shikaku stated, refusing to let these traitors get away with everything they've done.
Though, under normal circumstances, they would've noticed several inconsistencies in Jiraiya's story: Shikaku especially. Such as why and how Naruto would be able to convince Kurenai to kill Asuma when they had no previous connection, or getting Hinata to kill her teammates when she could barely hurt her own cousin. Not only that, but how and why would several highly respected Ninja, Clan Heirs and promising Genin decide to just suddenly turn traitor without warning.
Yet none of them said anything, with everything that had happened recently leaving none of them truly focused or clear-headed. With Koharu and Homura losing both of their former teammates, Hiruzen and Danzō, while Shikaku and Chōza lost their sons and now their best friend and teammate as well. Not helped by the overall state of Konoha as a whole with the death and destruction that the Konoha Crush caused.
Leaving them too emotionally compromised to see through Jiraiya's lies, not helped that they didn't have any reason to distrust the only Sannin to not turn traitor nor abandon the village to drown in his vices, much to the Toad Sage's glee as he turned their grief into hatred directed towards that annoying brat and those that sided with him. Which is only made easier with how much the village has turned against Naruto in the past month.
'And that's not all, I'll be doing.' Jiraiya thought as he tried getting up, putting the next part of his plan into action.
"Jiraiya stop! You're in no condition to get up, let alone try leaving." Chōza said, putting the Sannin back down in bed.
"I'm…I'm fine enough…besides, like hell I'm just gonna lay around when the village is like this! Nearly destroyed and betrayed by so many Ninja, I need to do something! " Jiraiya said while gritting his teeth, "determined" to help in any way he can.
"You've done enough, Jiraiya. You've brought valuable information of a grave betrayal." Stated Homura, knowing such information will probe crucial.
"That's not enough, I need to do more! Just something…didn't Sarutobi-sensei have a grandson?" Questioned Jiraiya, looking at them.
"Yes, Konohamaru…the poor boy has been locking himself away in the Hokage's Office ever since learning what happened to Hiruzen and Asuma." Koharu sighed, knowing Konohamaru had now lost the last of his immediate family.
Though he still had the rest of the Sarutobi Clan, everyone he was directly related to is now gone. His parents having died on a mission when he was still young, now he's lost his grandfather and uncle, leaving him with no one to turn to for help.
"Then I can still do this! After everything Sarutobi-sensei did for me, the least I can do is look after the last of his family and make sure the kid is alright. Besides, with what that Uzumaki brat did to Asuma, who knows if he'll try coming back to finish the job. I need to make sure the last of sensei's family is safe and ready for anyone that'd try coming after him." Said Jiraiya, trying to get up again.
All while he was mentally grinning at what he really planned to do with the old monkey's grandson, having two goals in mind. The first being that if the kid proved to have the same talent and power as his grandfather and uncle, then he'll make an ideal candidate to be the Child of the Prophecy. And the second is more personal, as from what he's gathered Konohamaru was close to the annoying brat, even viewing him as a big brother and rival.
Something Jiraiya is going to take a great amount of pleasure in twisting and breaking.
'Let's see how you like it, when your "brother" is the one that drives a Rasengan into your head, you little bastard.' Jiraiya thought madly, eager to see the look on Naruto's face when Konohamaru kills him.
So, what did you think, good. Yep we see Konoha is in even worse shape than it originally was, with plenty of Ninja dying whether against the Oto and Suna Ninja, or those that sided with Danzō. While Jiraiya also, unfortunately, survived having been found by Medic-Nin before he could bleed out. With the remaining Elders bringing in the Ino-Shika-Cho Trio to have Inoichi enter his mind and find out what happened. While all three have seen better days, with Shikaku and Choza losing their sons, Inoichi having no idea if Ino's alright or alive, along with losing their teacher.
With it getting worse for Inoichi when he enters Jiraiya's mind only find out just how disturbed and psychotic the Toad Sage really is. Both from how his mindscape looks along with the memories he sees in his head, before finding the memories of the invasion. Learning what Jiraiya did and is planning.
Unfortunately before he can leave, Jiraiya appears and brutally kills Inoichi, but before "thanking" him for his new "celebratory" plan after achieving his ambition. With him then "waking up" and manipulates Shikaku, Choza and the Elders, telling them his own version of what happened, turning them against the survivors, specifically against Naruto. While none of them are in the right state of mind to see through Jiraiya's lies, leaving them susceptible to his manipulations.
Finally we also see Jiraiya's plans to turn Konohamaru into the new Child of the Prophecy, given the chance he'd have the same strength and power his grandfather and uncle had. Along with intending to turn him against Naruto, knowing it'd be a way to further hurt him. So, for those that like the story, thanks for your support.
