AN: So I totally left in some of my writing process stuff. It's fixed now. My bad -Galaleo
After hanging up Harry uses a tracker that he gave to Fury and Coulson to make a blind apparition to Coulson's area. Coulson heard the pop and looked behind him to find Summoner, "Welcome to New Mexico. Want to change to something cooler?"
Harry just waved him off, "Cooling charms, make any weather comfortable. Now where's this port-key signature?"
Coulson led Harry through a temporary building into a central area that contained a harry sticking to a mound of stone. Harry immediately moved towards the Hammer taking in the inscriptions layered around it, most being older than even he. But one of the enchantments was recent, within the week recent. Noticing Harry stop and stare at one particular part Coulson approached. "Find something?"
"Yes. These inscriptions or runes are all Nordic in nature. Some border along other histories that are close but have the same general origins. If I were to make a guess and there was some type of wormhole travel here, you might be dealing with an alien." Harry explained as he pointed out different runes along the sides. Now pointing at the newest inscription, "Most of these inscriptions are many many years old, the magic feels archaic. This one right here though is new, like barely a week old."
Coulson studied it and had no idea what they meant, "Do you know what it's purpose is? Do you know who's hammer it is?"
Harry nodded his head side to side, "Well weapons don't really get branded with their name, because they aren't named until after completion. It does have several runes for lightning though, and with it being Norse in origin…" Harry said leaving the end of his statement open.
"Lightning? Oh Thor, God of Thunder! Wait this might be an actual god's weapon?" At this point Coulson being with Harry, allowed himself to geek out a little.
Harry just chuckled, "My guess was Thor as well. You might want to look for a blonde or red haired man who is new in town. Either extremely buff or built like a Viking berserker beer belly and all."
Coulson straightened himself up and pressed his ear piece, "We're looking for a man, most likely tall with red or blond hair and plenty of muscle. He will most likely have long hair and will be new in town. Find him but do not approach, only report." Coulson waited for the affirmation before turning back to Harry who was once again studying the hammer. "What are you doing now?"
Harry just pulled out a note book from his ridiculous pocket and started writing in it, "I'm studying it so I can use these runes and inscriptions for my own weapons. My sword is great but sometimes it just doesn't have the kick I need."
Harry kept studying the hammer until Coulson walked up, "They found him at the local diner with Dr. Foster and Selvig."
Harry just put away his notebook and dusted off his pants from sitting on the ground. "Well I'm going to go meet a god. Want to come?"
Coulson just shook his head, "No I'll stay and over see the study of the area and keep the base occupied."
Harry just nodded and walked off. It only took him a few minutes to use sight apparition to reach the main area of town where the diner was prominent on the main road. Walking in he gained a lot of attention for his clothing. Ignoring it he walked over to the middle tables that were occupied by four people, one of which was obviously Thor.
"-o I picked up the snake, but then Loki transformed back and said 'Ha I got you!' and stabbed me." Thor was nodding at his story while everyone else was giving him odd looks. It wasn't until Harry stood right next to Thor that he noticed him, "Who are you Midgardian? Did you come to partake in food?"
Harry just nodded as he crated a chair behind him and sat down. "I came to meet Thor, the God of Thunder."
Thor's mouth opened wide, "You are Seiðr! I did not know Midgard still had them, for they have not been seen in several centuries!" Thor laughed, "Come we must celebrate!"
Harry had to cut him off before he started talking feasts, "I'm sorry Thor but I have come ask you some questions if you don't mind."
"Wait, who are you?" Harry turned to the brunette woman sitting next to Thor.
"My moniker is Summoner, I am a consultant for SHIELD and typically deal in anything of a mystical nature." Harry told her but before he could turn back to Thor, she spoke again.
"Wait are you with those guys that stole all our equipment?" when she said that Harry just slammed face into his hands.
"You are working with thieves?!" Thor suddenly stood up but Harry just waved his hand forcing Thor to sit back down. When the other saw that they attempted to stand as well but couldn't move.
"Look here all of you. I am here to ask Thor some questions. I will talk with the leader of the site that's studying the entrance to our world from what I am guessing is Asgard, but I do not need you all making a scene right now. So if I release my hold will you all relax and keep seated?"
When they all tried to talk and couldn't hear their voices they just nodded. Harry released the hold he put on them and removed the silencing charm. "First introductions are in order I believe."
The brunette with glasses spoke up this time, "I'm Darcy Lewis. This is Jane Foster," she said tapping the other woman hand, "and finally we have Erik Selvig."
Harry nodded to each and looked back to Thor, "Now Thor I came to ask you what you are doing on Earth and why your hammer is in the middle of a field."
"I was Banished for disobeying my father. When I landed here I was found by these friends." Thor said gesturing to the people surrounding him. "Now where is my hammer? I need it if I am to return to Asgard."
Harry just nodded and stood up dismissing his chair and looking to the others, "Anyone else coming?"
At that they all stood while Selvig took out cash to pay for their meal. When they followed Harry outside he just walked to the side of the building and opened a portal, seeing the portal Thor thought nothing of it and walked through, Dr. Forster and Dr. Selvig stopped to stare at it. Jane started mumbling about how it was possible and what it could mean for their research while Darcy just looked at Harry, "You can make portals?! This is crazy." She then pushed the two scientists through the portal with them complaining.
"Don't worry folks you can ask questions later. I would like to see Mjölnir in action." Harry then led them into the crash site where a temporary building was already up and full of people studying the hammer and readings around it. When a guard tried to stop them Harry just gave the man a look. Coulson ended up meeting them halfway.
"Summoner, I see you brought some friends. Dr. Selvig, Dr. Foster, it's wonderful to see you again." Coulson just nodded with his same work smile healways had on.
"Thor, Jane, Erik, and Darcy, this is Agent Coulson lead on this site." Harry swept his eyes around the area and saw Clint sitting in a nest on a crane, Harry gave him a cheeky wave, before turning back to Coulson.
Coulson nodded, "We have met."
Jane replied quickly, "Yeah we did, when you stole all of our research and machines!" a couple of the guards nearby started to assume a defensive formation but were stopped by a discreet wave from Coulson.
"Yes and I would like to apologize about that. We needed your machines and research to start ensuring that whatever happened here wasn't going to accompanied by an enemy combatant."
"Asgard wants no war with you people. Midgard is under our protection, we have no reason to hurt you" Thor said as he glanced around at the people working.
Harry just rolled his eyes, "Anyway we are here to show Thor his hammer and maybe get him back home."
Coulson just nodded and led the way as Selvig started speaking with Coulson about what they were doing with their research. It didn't take long to reach the crash site of the hammer. When Thor saw it he rushed etc it and slowly gripped it and pulled. But like everyone else who tried to lift the hammer, nothing happened. He kept pulling until he finally gave up and crashed to the ground in defeat. Harry just sighed watching him while Jane spoke up, "If that was really his hammer, why couldn't he lift it?"
Harry replied, "He seems to have been found unworthy. It seems there was an enchantment added the hammer that only allows those with the proper morals and character to wield it." Jane and Darcy nodded as they watched Thor. He seemed to become glassy eye for a few moments before uttering 'goodbye' and becoming more depressed.
Harry just looked away and walked back over to Coulson, "It seems out local Asgardian is no longer worthy to lift his Hammer."
Jane decided to approach Thor, "Thor what happened? Why couldn't you lift the hammer?"
Thor looked up at her morosely, "I am no worthy. It seems that I have been turned mortal as punishment for the transgressions to the crown. Now I have learned that I killed my father with the actions I caused."
Jane, unsure of what to do, sat next to him and bumped his shoulder, "It will be alright, being mortal isn't so bad and I'm sure your father would want you to find a life of your own here."
Thor gave a weak smile before he went back to staring at his hammer. When Harry approached both looked up at him, "So what's the plan now Thor, any other way to phone home?" Darcy cracked a laugh at that while Thor looked on in confusion.
Jane explained, "He's asking if you have another way of returning to Asgard."
"I can not return to Asgard. Odin's final order was for my banishment and I can not disobey him again." Thor replied sadly.
"Well if they won't invite you then I can just take you anyways." Harry replied matter of factly.
"How would you do this?" Thor looked up at him in surprise.
Harry made brief eye contact and grabbed an image of the bifrost in his mind, "Like this." And created a portal off to the side. On the other side of the portal they saw 5 figures arguing.
The black man with the sword was the first to notice them and seemed unsurprised, "Thor it is good to see you again." At his words the other four turned and saw Thor sitting on the ground through a portal.
Harry looked around, "Sooo, who's coming to Asgard?" before he walked through being followed quickly by Jane Erik and Darcy with Thor lagging behind unable to believe that the sei∂r he met was able to just portal to Asgard.
Upon stepping through Thor is mobbed by the group that was talking with the man who greeted them. Harry approached him, "You don't seem surprised that we were able to get here without the Bifrost."
Heimdall just gave him a glance while mainly watching Thor, "I am Heimdall the All-seeing. Of course I knew you could come here."
Harry raised an eyebrow, "All-seeing huh? So were those four about to take a trip to Earth?"
Heimdall just nodded, "They are unhappy with Loki on the throne and missed their friend."
Harry just nodded watched the scene devolve into a bit of chaos as Thor introduced his new earth friends to his asgard friends. When the only female of the group saw Thor's affection for Jane she seemed to withdraw on herself. It wasn't until Thor mentioned the passing of Odin that the Asgardians quieted down. "Thor, your father is still alive."
Thor just stopped, "He's alive?"
When everyone affirmed that Odin was alive Thor didn't know how to feel. "But Loki told me father was dead and that was the reason I remained exiled."
"We should approach Loki about his reasoning first." But it didn't look like they would have to approach him as he was riding towards the Bifrost anyways. When he saw a group next to the Bifrost he was grinning until he realized Thor was amongst them.
"Heimdall! You know Thor has been banished. Odin will not care for you disregarding his orders so." Loki I finished as he noticed a few of the people were dressed as Midgardians. "Also, mortals are forbidden from the realm of Asgard."
When Harry heard that he just chuckled at the hypocrisy of Asgardians, but he understood. These Asgardians weren't true gods, but they probably count their life spans in millennia and not years. Meeting and befriending people who only live a fraction of your life span could lead to heartache.
Loki looked towards the one who laughed when he said that, "What do you find so funny mortal? Do you think yourself above me? I am a god."
Loki seemed like he was about to go on but was interrupted by Thor, "Loki you told me father was dead! Why?!"
Loki backed up slightly from Thor's advance, "Would you not have an easier time moving on from your exile, brother, if you thought father hadn't forgotten you?"
"But I digress, you, Thor, should return to Midgard before father learns of you breaking your exile. Take your mortals with you, I have business to handle."
"What business would that be brother?" Thor asked challengingly.
Loki just laughed, "With father out of commission it falls to me to take care of the throne. I must visit Jotunnheim to fix the damage our little trip caused."
Loki gave Heimdall a pointed look, "Send them back and don't open the Bifrost for him again, now send me to Jotunnheim, I have an appointment with Laufey."
When Loki disappeared through the Bifrost Harry just clapped his hands, "Well that as informative. Now let's go see to Odin so Thor can rest easy." Harry got a pointed look from Heimdall but Harry just winked at him.
Thor then led their group back to Asgard. Walking across the rainbow bridge at dusk was a beautiful scene. The water falling into the cosmos, stars so close they looked like small moons, and the city itself was full of spires made of gold that reflected the night sky, causing it to glitter and sparkle like gems. "It's very beautiful." Jane spoke up as the neared the end of the bridge.
"Yes, Asgard is quite beautiful. It's people even more so." Sif said as they walked past the guard. They entered the central building they could see from the Bifrost bridge. It's halls were wide and high with windows and blaconnies. Gardens were sparse throughout the building and guards were seen in each hallway. Small talk dominated the conversation as the came upon the royal wing of the main building. Thor was approached by a beautiful older woman when we got close to the private quarters. "Thor!"
"Mother!" Thor gave his mother a hug as the group stood back allowing the reunion. When they parted she noticed the large group behind Thor.
"Who are our guests Thor?" she asked as she held on his arm and turned them both to the group.
"Mother, you of course know the Lady Sif and the Warriors Three." Then he walked over to Erik, "This is Erik Selvig a scientist." Moving to Darcy, "This is Darcy Lewis an assistant." Moving to Harry, "This is Summoner, he is a sei∂r of Midgard!." Moving over to Jane he put a hand between her shoulders, "and this is Jane Foster, she is also a scientist and works with Erik and Darcy. Everyone this is my mother, Queen of Asgard, Frigga."
Harry just watched as Frigga paid the most attention to Jane, if their powers are anything like the myths, she could see the burgeoning bond between the two. Everyone else greeted her. When Frigga got to Harry who was standing at the back, "You seem more than just a human sei∂r, Summoner." Getting closer she inspected him, "You have seen much and your destiny is heavy. You don't seem like an mortal I have met."
Harry slightly stiffened when she said that but relaxed and gave her an over exagerated wink. "Worry not Lady Frigga, I'm just here as an observer, Thor had believed his father dead." Harry said getting Frigga to go an question her son as he started throwing around spells for detection and hiding. Thor went into the room with Frigga to see his father who was resting. Sif and the Warriors Three took the rest of them to a room nearby to rest and eat to wait for Thor. When Thor came back they decided to wait to talk to Look but Harry cut that off. "We must hide ourselves from Loki. He is planning something but I would like to see what it is before we go back to Earth."
Thor fought that idea, "We should just approach Loki. He is still my brother he isn't planning anything that would threaten Asgard."
Harry just shook his head, "I think we should wait but if you want to approach him that's fine. I will go with Sif and the Warriors Three to wait at the Bifrost. Jane, Erik, Darcy, you should go back to Earth, just incase something happens." Everyone agreed with that and Thor said his goodbyes, quite sad to part with his new friends. When they were all gone Harry took the Warriors Three and Sif to the Bifrost. When they got there Harry held a finger to his mouth and wardered the small area they were in away from sight and senses. They could see Heimdall give them a side eye as the Bifrost reactivated.
Loki had just come back from Jotunnheim and Heimdall asked why he couldn't see them and even insinuated Loki was responsible for the frost giants that interrupted the coronation of Thor. Loki confirmed this and said Thor was not ready for the Throne. He then question Heimdall's allegiance and stalked away.
Harry just shook his head and told everyone to wait with him. It was barely an hour after nightfall that Lokii returned and froze Heimdall with a blue cube allowing him to open the Bifrost and bring half a dozen frost giants onto Asgard. Harry had to immobilize the Asgardians with him before they disrupted the plan Loki had crafted. When Loki left with Laufey and an extra Frost Giant Harry released everyone and they quickly took out the frost giants. Harry helped thaw Heimdall while Sif and the Warriors Three were rushing back to the palace.
Heimdall already halfway thawed out and Harry watched them go and shook their heads simultaneously. "Did they forget you can move them through space?"
Harry just laughed, "I would assume so. Also don't worry too much about what Loki is planning. I can be there in an instant so let's set you free first."
When Heimdall was unfrozen Harry made a portal and waved at Heimdall as he walked through and turned invisible. Harry walked around the corner and found Thor and Loki arguing in Odin's room and two dead frost giants. "You can't destroy Jotunnheim Loki. Father was right to banish me. I let my arrogance dictate my actions, just as you are doing now."
"No brother I am thinking this through properly. The Frost Giants have no respect for us and now they are leaderless. We can destroy them for the good of Asgard!" Loki said before blasting the unconscious form of Laufey into dust. When Thor rushed him Loki blasted him back as well, but when the spear blew a hole straight through Thor Loki was surprised. He faltered for only a moment until he saw Frigga rush towards Thor. He just huffed and turned around leaving to start his plan. Harry just shook his head at the idiocy, with Loki's back turned he fired an extremely overpowered stunner that knocked Loki out of the hall and against a wall. He then levitated and dropped him in Odin's room where he slumped down unconscious.
Frigga became frightened when Loki was blasted out into the hall until she saw Thor's new friend, "Summoner, thank you for stopping Loki. Can you help my son?"
Harry just looked at Thor and shook he head. "I think he needs something more than what I can do for him." Harry then opened a portal to the Hammer which quickly flew through the portal and slammed into Thor bathing him in lightning, when it disappeared Thor seemed to be in a armor and was now kneeling holding his hammer. He stood slowly still seeming to be in pain.
Gathering himself he looked towards his mother and gave her a big smile and whispered "I am worthy."
Harry looked away to give them a moment. While insuring Loki was wrapped in chains. With everything happening Odin eventually pulled himself out of his rest and sat up on the bed. First he looked towards his wayward son and shook his head before looking at Thor holding his hammer and gained a slight smile.
When he turned his eyes to Harry though they became cold before looking towards Thor, "Thor not only did you come back before you had proven yourself worthy, you brought a mortal back with you. You know the rules on mortals in Asgard, take him back now!"
Thor was slightly surprised by his father's attitude after Summoner had done so much to help them. "Father he-"
"I don't care. You know the laws!" Odin thundered before Harry started laughing. He gave a glare at him, "What are you laughing at mortal?"
Harry jut chuckled and shook his head before he snapped his head up and called upon his station. His silver and black cloak covered him as his eye glowed an ominous green, "Last I checked you were still mortal Odin Borrson. In fact you seem closer to her realm then any other Asgardian I have met."
Odin backed up on his bed while Frigga felt the energy of death pouring out of Thor's new friend. It quickly went away and the unassuming man in robes was standing there again with a smile hidden behind his cowl. Harry looked over at Frigga and gave her a bow, "It was lovely to meet you Lady Frigga." He then turned to Thor, "Be sure to come and visit after you clean up here Thor, I'm sure Jane would be quite happy to hear from you again." He gave Odin a small glare before opening a portal back to the mobile SHIELD base.
Thor glanced at his father, who still seemed to have seen his own death, before looking at hi mother. "Well I'm glad he seems to be a friend." Frigga just nodded.
