DOUBLE TROUBLE: WHEN VEGETA MET HIS MATCH... LITERALLY
Vegeta knew he was in serious trouble. After the tournament with universe six, things were pretty much back to normal, Vegeta was yet to return to Lord Beerus' planet to train, he wanted to spend some time at home believe it or not. He might not usually show it, but he absolutely adores his wife and son, they are the main reason why he always pushes himself to train harder, Kakarot is a close second, so when Bulma came running to him, telling him that Trunks and Goten somehow found their way off the planet, Vegeta couldn't help the menacing growl that escaped his lips. He knew that the boys could take care of themselves, very few beings in the universe had the power to match their might, but Vegeta also knew how easily a young saiyan could find themselves in an inescapable situation, the boys were free to roam the earth as much as they wished as long as they get home before curfew, but going off planet by themselves could spell serious trouble. They tried contacting Kakarot, since he's the only one who might track their energy and use that absurd technique to go get them, but the fool was also off planet. Bulma called her little alien friend who tracked Monaka's van and gave him a ride to the planet called Pot au feu. Vegeta expected to find trouble ofcourse, but none he couldn't handle. What he didn't expect was the superhuman water. He grudgingly accepted that it was his own fault letting his guard down, the so called superhuman water came into contact with him and somehow created an exact duplicate of himself, not only was his appearance copied, but his powers and also a surprisingly large amount of his personality as well. The only way to tell the difference between the two was the fact that Duplicate Vegeta was purple. Vegeta cursed himself as he, his son Trunks, Kakarot's son Goten, Monaka (who was unconscious and being carried by the boys), Jaco and an old man they found on the planet who was supposed to guard the superhuman water dashed through the alien landscape avoiding blasts from the purple henchmen who were created just before Duplicate Vegeta, the imposter himself followed them in a more leisurely fashion. As if all that wasn't bad enough, the reason Vegeta and the others were running was because the real Vegeta was deteriorating quickly, he had already lost his powers but his body was somehow fading away as well, which would leave Duplicate Vegeta as the only Vegeta in existence.
"Alright, i think we're ready to fuse know." Trunks announced as he landed on top of a cylindrical shaped hill causing the others to stop as well. Vegeta scoffed at his son in anger.
"Yeah right, as if you could ever hope to defeat that purple imposter." he said in mock amusement. He stared at his hands again, he was starting to see through them.
"Well, how long can we keep running, let's show these guys we're not afraid of them." Goten, always as enthusiastic as his father, stated. Vegeta growled in frustration, he knew he had a point, they couldn't run forever, he nodded at the boys and they nodded back, deep inside, he felt angry at the young saiyans' confidence, do they really think they could go toe to toe with him? Jaco and the old man caught up with them.
"Why are we stopping?!" Jaco shouted, out of breath.
"Quiet!" Vegeta ordered as he folded his hands and watched as the boys did their fusion dance. A bright light ensued and the two literally merged into one single entity.
"Tantararaaaa!" shouted Gotenks, which was the fusion's name. The purple goons were closing in, Gotenks turned to Vegeta and the others.
"Y'all just sit tight, Gotenks is here to save the day." the purple and black haired child shouted. Vegeta stifled a groan, he'd rather die than be defended by children, but he had little say in the matter. Gotenks fell upon the purple losers like a vengeful spirit, they weren't a match for him ofcourse, Vegeta was more worried about his purple duplicate who was still leisurely catching up. Vegeta knew that if his duplicate wanted, he would have cought up to them ages ago but he obviously wants to savor the moment. Gotenks quickly finished up with the purple goons, Vegeta wanted to call out to them so that they could keep moving but Jaco's gasp interrupted him.
"Vegeta, i can literally see through you." the galactic patrolman told him, as if he himself didn't have eyes. Vegeta turned to the old man who was the cause of all this.
"You, how can the effects be reversed?" he asked as he glared at the old man.
"The only way to avoid the tragic fate that's about to befall you is if your purple duplicate is destroyed. The superhuman water has a crystal core, crushing it will significantly weaken the imposter." the man explained. Easier said than done, Vegeta thought to himself. Finding the core was the only way they could stand a chance but the landscape was huge, it could be anywhere. Purple Vegeta had finally cought up with them. Gotenks roared and turned into super saiyan.
"Look out you purple imposter, Gotenks is about to take you to school!" the annoying child shouted, Purple Vegeta smirked.
"Is that supposed to be a threat. Alright give it your best shot." the imposter challenged.
"Tch!" Vegeta scowled at the imposter, his resemblance to himself made him sick.
Gotenks, who didn't even bother to formulate a tactic, charged at the imposter, unleashing a savage punch to the guy's jaw, Vegeta smirked with pride when his purple version didn't even seem to notice the blow, forgetting that Gotenks victory would be in his favor.
"Is that it?" his purple imposter asked, Gotenks jumped back and dashed forward again, aiming for purple Vegeta's throat. The imposter casually raised his right hand and caught the fist just inches from his throat. Original Vegeta almost burst in satisfaction. A while ago, Gotenks was a force to be reckoned with, the fused saiyan had gone toe to toe with kid boo and held his own pretty damn well but right now, the child was barely even a threat to his purple self. Gotenks tried removing his fist from Vegeta's grip. Purple Vegeta started crushing the boy's fist causing Gotenks to yelp in pain. Gotenks yelled and powered up to super saiyan 3 which caused purple Vegeta to effortlessly jump back. This time, Purple Vegeta had to dodge the blows but he did so effortlessly and easily got in blows of his own. The fight didn't even last five minutes, Gotenks fell on the ground, defeated. The boys' fusion came to an end and Gotenks split back into Goten and Trunks.
"Yes, that's it! Now kill those little bastards." the purple goon who seemed to have been in charge until purple Vegeta was created, shouted, Purple Vegeta barely seemed to notice him, Vegeta knew he had to intervene but he also knew that he couldn't possibly hope to achieve anything by doing so.
"Let's see how much of this you boys can take." the imposter said as he raised his hand to the boys, a yellow ball of light appeared but before anyone could react, Kakarot made one of his signature, perfect timed entrance which annoyed the hell out of Vegeta. He appeared out of thin air using his instant transmission and grabbed the imposter's hand before he could vaporize the boys
"Alright Vegeta that's enough, were you seriously gonna kill our sons?" he asked.
"Is that Kakarot?" he heard the purple imposter ask himself.
"Kakarot?!" he called out in annoyance. The clown turned to face him in confusion,
"That purple guy is not me." he said, pointing towards Purple Vegeta.
"Aaah?!" the fool shouted as he looked back and forth between Vegeta and his imposter in confusion, "But, i count two Vegetas here, uuuh, okay. But who's the real one though? You're purple which is wierd, but he's see through, which is also wierd. Can somebody tell me what's going on." the fool asked in confusion.
"Dad. All you need to know is that he's bad and you need to stop him." Goten shouted, pointing towards the purple Vegeta.
"If you don't the real Vegeta's gonna dissapear." Trunks explained. The clown still looked confused.
"Uuuuuh, oh boy, can you start over, from the top?" he asked scratching his head. Vegeta growled in annoyance.
"We don't have time to draw you a picture you fool, just do as the boy said and defeat the slime ball in the next few minutes or I die. But know that he's my exact duplicate, which means he'll give you as much trouble in a fight as i do, and there's a pretty good chance that he'll defeat you." Vegeta couldn't help the smirk on his face. This is what he always wanted, him and Kakarot, no holding back, the real Vegeta's life at stake made sure of that.
Gojo still couldn't get over how amazing Lord Beerus' world was. It looked almost like Lord Champa's back in the sixth but unlike Lord Champa's planet, this one was atleast twice as big, the big tree at the center of it all radiated power. The planet had atleast four moons and most importantly, Lord Beerus had a hot tub. In Champa's world, everytime someone had to take a bath, they'd had to go to the river, this just showed how much good taste Lord Beerus has. He's been on Lord Beerus' world for almost two weeks now. Lord Beerus was glad to share the hot tub with him once he offered the destroyer meat which he brought from Planet Sadala and roasted it for him. He did seem to enjoy the food but not as much as Gojo hoped. He'd heard that food from the seventh universe's earth was beyond amazing but he had no idea how much until Whis offered him a dish called Instant ramen. Gojo could still remember the taste of that glorious meal, it was all he could think about at night. But alas, that was the last dish they had so it was upto Whis to travel back to earth to get more. Goku and Vegeta lived there on earth so Gojo decided to ask Whis to take him to them after training so he could try out more of those exquisite dishes.
"Well, i suppose it is about the right time to head back there, Lord Beerus gets cranky if he doesn't enjoy instant ramen for a while. " Whis stated. Gojo almost yelped in joy. Whis conjured his staff out of thin air.
"It's usually Vegeta's wife, Bulma, who supplies us with these things but i assume you'd also like to meet Goku and Vegeta after waiting for so long. Let's see where they are." Whis stated as he looked at the orb on the tip of his staff.
"Oh my! That's odd." Whis stated.
"What is it?" Gojo asked frowning. Whis tapped the staff on the ground and a projection appeared, showing Goku and a purple colored Vegeta trading blows, but that wasn't what cought Gojo's attention.
"That's earth?" he asked, it looked barren and desolate, is that really where the delicious treats come from?
"No it's not." Whis stated, Gojo's attention focused back on the purple Vegeta.
"And that's not the real Vegeta as well, it appears that the saiyans have gotten themselves into a canandrum." Whis stated. Gojo tried to asses the situation, he could see another Vegeta there as well, but it was as if that one was some kind of ghost because Gojo could see right through him.
"Where are they?" Gojo asked.
"They are on a planet called Pot au feu, or that's how the extinct lifeform of the world used to call it." the angel said.
"Can you take me to them?" Gojo asked, the projection dissapeared as Whis turned towards him.
"It's quite a distance but i'm sure you can teleport there yourself. They are using their super saiyan blue transformation but with your six eyes and your training, you should be able to lock on to their energy." Whis said. Gojo nodded.
"I myself will be heading to earth, Lord Beerus will be expecting more ramen by the end of the day. I'll see you there and remember, don't get into too much trouble, Vados will kill me if she found out i loosened the reigns a little bit." Whis instructed. Gojo chuckled.
" Yeah yeah i got it." he said. He removed his blindfold, unleashing the full power of the six eyes, he didn't need to close his eyes to focus, he stared up at the sky and infinite information flooded into his mind, for anyone else, that would immediately immobilize them, infact, Gojo was still trying to figure out how to use that factor in a fight. Gojo ignored the unnecessary information and focused on Goku and Vegeta. He locked on to their energy after a minute of concentration. With a smile, he clasped his hands and immediately dissapeared. After all this time, Gojo never quite got used to the sensation of teleporting.the world around him blurred into an ethereal haze, as if reality itself is dissolving. For a brief moment, he was suspended in a void—a place where time and space lose their meaning. There's an intense feeling of pressure, as though the very air was thickening around him, but it's not suffocating; it's more like a gentle, all-encompassing embrace.
Gojo's senses began to distort. Sounds become muffled and distant, as though he was underwater, while his vision shifts to a tunnel of swirling blues and whites, like the eye of a storm. His body felt weightless, yet simultaneously grounded, as if tethered to an unseen force.
Suddenly, there's a sharp, crystalline clarity—a moment where everything snaps into focus, and he felt a surge of energy pulse through his entire being, almost like the world is being reassembled around him. A faint coolness washed over his skin, leaving a tingling sensation in its wake.
Then, just as quickly as it began, the sensation dissipates, and Gojo finds himself in his destination, as though no time had passed at all. The world around him solidifies, colors sharpen, and the ambient sounds return, bringing him back to the present. The experience always made him feel as though he danced around the edges of reality. Suddenly he was beside the see-through Vegeta. Gojo took notice of the little crowd that stood there, none of them still aware of his arrival, not even Vegeta himself. Two kids stood there, half saiyans by the look of them, a small purple and white alien which Gojo believed to be a galactic patrolman (because they were also in universe six), a small bearded old man, a pink alien with pointy ears and large nipples and then see-through Vegeta himself, who seemed to be suckling on something.
"What's that on your mouth?" Gojo asked outloud in amusement, causing the group to jump in surprise, Vegeta's eyes immediately flickered with recognition, he yanked the purple item out of his mouth.
"Gojo, It's you!" he exclaimed, Gojo almost rolled his eyes. Who else could it be?
"What's happening here?" he asked pointing towards the battle between Goku and the other Vegeta.
"If you must know, that imposter stole my powers and is now using it to wreck havock, and if he isn't destroyed, ill soon be wiped out of existence." Vegeta explained, Gojo turned to look at the ongoing battle, it seemed that Goku and Vegeta were evenly matched. Now that he was there, Gojo could deduce more information than when he was on Beerus' planet, like the fact that Purple Vegeta had a menacing aura that in no way resembled that of the Vegeta he met at the tournament, his razor sharp eyesight caught some movement on his peripheral, a purple goo was slowly making it's way up the small hill they were standing on. It also had the same aura as purple Vegeta and Gojo immediately knew that it was bad news. He could see that Vegeta had barely a minute left and Goku didn't look like he was going to win the fight any time soon. It was time he stepped in. Screaming in fury, he transformed into his super saiyan god form, the red energy seemed somewhat inferior to the super saiyan blue, but anyone who knew Gojo would tell that that was insignificant. His six eyes already deduced that if he destroyed that shining crystal inside the purple goo, it would have a weakening effect on Purple Vegeta, he stretched his right hand towards the slime.
"Azure Convergence." he chanted.A small, concentrated point of intense blue light formed right on top of the slime, humming with an almost inaudible frequency that sends shivers down the spine of the onlookers, even Goku and Purple Vegeta themselves stopped mid battle to stare at it.
This point, an embodiment of infinity, draws everything around it inward with an irresistible force, as if the universe itself is collapsing into a singularity. Objects, debris, and even the ground beneath him start to bend and contort, pulled toward the epicenter of the technique by an invisible, gravitational-like force. The energy within the blue light grows denser, more compact, consuming everything in its path. The blue slime stood no chance, it was immediately sucked into the singularity.
When Gojo released the technique, the blue energy expands outward in a controlled explosion. The surrounding environment is violently sucked towards the point where the technique was focused, creating a vacuum-like effect. The resulting impact is devastating: anything caught within its range is crushed, compressed, or torn apart, reduced to nothing by the overwhelming force. Goku and Purple Vegeta did all they could to stay on the air and avoid getting sucked in. The real Vegeta and the group he was with moved back once Gojo unleashed the devastating technique.
The aftermath is a surreal scene—a crater where once stood solid ground, with a gentle blue afterglow lingering in the air, fading slowly as the environment struggles to return to normal. All the while, Gojo remains unfazed, standing near the destruction with a calm, almost detached expression, as if controlling the very essence of infinity was second nature to him. That was when the effect took place, Purple Vegeta screamed in pain as purple, crackling electricity started forming around his body. Goku took advantage of the situation and kicked Purple Vegeta, sending him crashing down onto a nearby rock, right infront of Gojo. He extended his right hand as if he was about to flick two fingers as he prepared his most devastating and rarely used attack.
"Azure Convergence," he began chanting, the dreaded blue light appeared on the right side of his extended hand, but on a smaller scale than the previous one and it's effect was also being controlled, "Crimson repulse," he continued. A red beam, which had the opposite effect of the blue appeared on the left side, it's power twice as much as that of the blue but it's effect also being controlled. Gojo could tell that Goku sensed what was about to be unleashed and decided to stay back, the two opposing forces then warped together meeting right infront of Gojo's fingers, as the colors mixed, they created a new color, purple, it's destructive capabilities infinitely greater than the two individuals, the very atmosphere seemed to turn into the color purple as Gojo finally flicked his fingers and the purple beam shot towards the imposter, it's light so bright that the onlookers had to cover their eyes. The purple energy obliterated the landscape, creating a canyon as it headed towards Purple Vegeta, the poor bastard simply had no time to dodge, and this wasn't the kind of attack that could be met head on with one of his own long range attacks, none of Gojo's attacks worked like that, either you find a way to dodge, or you tank it, which was a terrible idea. The blast not only destroyed Purple Vegeta, it simply wiped him out of existence, very similar to a destroyer's hakai but also very different. The purple beam eventually died out, but not before it created a massive canyon. Purple electricity crackled all over the newly formed landscape. Reverting back to base form, Gojo turned towards the group he just saved, a big smile on his face.
Vegeta had his jaw dropped the whole time. Gojo, just like Kakarot, appeared out of nowhere. He remembered the sixth universe's saiyan promising to come for a visit during the tournament but he didn't expect to see him there. But that wasn't what surprised him, the blue singularity that the saiyan had created out of thin air wasn't surprising either, Whis had already explained that. What really caught Vegeta off guard was what came next. The moment after Gojo unleashed the so called Hollow Purple, there was a deafening silence. The air, once filled with the crackling energy of his attack, hang heavy and still. Vegeta, standing a short distance from the devastation, was frozen in place, eyes wide with a mixture of awe and disbelief. He had momentarily forgotten that his body was starting to become visible again, none of them seemed to notice, not after what was done to achieve it
Their mind struggled to process what they just witnessed—an impossible blend of power, beauty, and terror. The sheer magnitude of the attack, the way it effortlessly erased everything in its path, leaves them reeling. Vegeta could still see the aftermath: a gaping void where once there was matter, a swath of destruction that seems almost unreal. Very much like Lord Beerus' hakai, but this one had a different feel to it, more terrifying.
Their heart pounded in their chest, each beat echoing with the realization that they were just inches away from total annihilation. There's a cold sweat on their skin, and their breath comes in shallow, ragged gasps, as though they've been holding it for far too long.
Finally, they manage to tear their gaze away, only to meet Gojo's big smile. That look—a casual indifference to the destruction he's capable of—sends a shiver down Vegeta's spine.
"What the f*ck was that?!" Vegeta heard Jaco shout. Kakarot landed beside them, joining them at staring at the figure before them. Slowly, Vegeta's fear towards the saiyan turned into excitement, he knew he'd never be able to do what Gojo did no matter how much techniques he'd use, but that didn't mean he couldn't surpass the white haired bastard. Vegeta was more than glad for Gojo's arrival at the seventh, very soon, he'll be able to match Gojo's power ,and surpass it.
"Hey Goku." Gojo shouted as he floated towards them.
"Hey Gojo, good to see you buddy." Kakarot shouted back, matching the saiyan's enthusiasm, Vegeta could already tell those two would get along. Gojo finally reached them, Vegeta scowled at him.
"So, come to train with us i presume," he stated as he folded his hands again, "Still can't go blue, can you?" .
"Woow, you did all that in just super saiyan god from, awesome, I can't wait to fight you again. You won't get me the way you did last time." Kakarot challenged as Gojo was putting on a blindfold, "What's that for?" the clown asked.
"Ooh it's nothing, it helps with my mental fatigue issue." he stated, he then turned to Vegeta, "And no, i still can't go blue. You guys are the ones who showed me the next level, so i figured that if there's anyone who can help me reach it, it'll be you two." he stated, putting his hands back in his pockets. Vegeta smiled despite himself.
"Good. You hungry?" he asked the white haired saiyan. The answering smile was all he needed, it was time to head home.
