David Harkness was born and raised in San Francisco, where he worked tirelessly in the shipyards, dreaming of a life beyond the mundane. His life took a dramatic turn when he met Laura, a dedicated Starfleet officer. Their whirlwind romance led to marriage and the birth of their daughter, Hayvna Charlotte. However, the idyllic life shattered when David, feeling overshadowed by Laura's success and driven by jealousy, defected to the Romulans. As he became embroiled in their schemes, he began to view his family as liabilities rather than loved ones. His threats against Hayvna forced Laura to hide, and in a tragic twist of fate, he orchestrated the destruction of the USS Galaxia, killing Laura and leaving him with a hollow victory. Now, David is a ghost of his former self, endlessly searching for Hayvna with blood-soaked hands, hoping to fulfill his dark ambitions while grappling with the remnants of his shattered family.
