Chapter 9: Getaway

Buster made his way back to the lobby and exited the building. "I'll meet you guys very soon," he said. "Wait a minute," said Freddy, "Was there always a white SUV outside of the building Buster was previously in?" Freddy's friends all looked at the brick building with their binoculars and saw a white SUV outside of it. Just then, a guy came running out of the building and went into the vehicle. The SUV then sped off as the janitor came out shrugging.

"Uhh, what about a white SUV?" Buster asked. "How should I say this?" said Bonnie, "When you're far enough away from the building you just came out of, run REALLY fast." Buster did so, the moment he was far enough away. Freddy and his friends stayed on the rooftops to make sure the white SUV didn't get to Buster before he could get to them. The SUV sped down the street to the building Buster was just in, while Buster ran through the backstreets. "I should be to you guys any minute," said Buster, "Wait in the van!"

Freddy and the others went down whatever ways they took to get to their spots. "You know Freddy, your dad is really missing out on this," said Buster. "Thanks captain obvious," Freddy scoffed, "And it's thanks to you." "Speaking of which, I wonder how he be doing while we are in the midst of a getaway," said Foxy.

The grocery store

Fredbear was doing Buster's shopping. Luckily for him, he didn't need to really rush, since the grocery store ran 24 hours and there weren't many people. Of course, he didn't come to the realization that he was lied to by Bonnie's brother, so he wouldn't be involved in what was going on. But nevertheless, he continued on and was just about finished.

As Fredbear made his way to the checkout line, he then stopped and looked at the list. He got everything that was needed, but it didn't line up with what they were doing. Then Fredbear came to the realization that he was lied to. "Son of a bitch," he said to himself, "That rabbit really thinks I'm too old to handle a little bit of action? One day I'll show hi-" Fredbear then cracked his back. "Okay," he groaned, "Perhaps he had a reason to make me do this after all."

Back where Freddy and the gang were

Freddy and his friends had just gotten into the van. Now they just had to wait for Buster. "We all just got in my van now," said Bonnie, "Where are you Buster?" "It shouldn't be too much longer till I get to you guys," Buster replied.

In less than a minute, Buster was in view and got into the van. "I'm ready to go," he said, catching his breath. And with that, they drove off as fast as they could.

"That one 24/7 supermarket isn't too far, is it?" asked Freddy. "It's just a mile or two away," said Bonnie. "Good," said Buster, "I don't want the milk going bad, or my groceries being forgotten." "Or leaving Fredbear in the dust," added Foxy. Buster just nodded in response. "Your either afraid of the head honcho, or you underestimate what he's capable of because of his age," said Chica, looking at Buster. Even Freddy somewhat shot a glare at Buster.

Meanwhile, Fredbear had just gotten outside and was now waiting for the others to show up. He looked at his watch, it was roughly 10pm. "Now all I have to do is wait," Fredbear said. However, it came as a surprise to him when Bonnie's van came rushing into the parking lot. Within less than 10 seconds, the van pulled up in front of him. When Fredbear opened the door to bring the groceries in, he could see the expressions on his son and his son's friend's faces.

"You all look like you witnessed a tornado hit a church on Sunday," said Fredbear, "Something I missed?" "We'll explain it after," said Buster. Fredbear stared at him as he put the groceries in, "You know, I have some words for you."

Once the groceries were in and the door was closed, the gang sped off. "Who the hell are we running from?" Fredbear asked. "We don't know," said Freddy, "But we think they work with Monty. While Buster was in the third to last building, a white SUV was outside of the second building Buster was previously in. By the time we realized this, two guys came out of that building and raced towards the building Buster was in. Luckily, he got out by that time but we had to make our getaway. Even if we are away from them, we don't want to take risks."

"In all fairness Freddy, and no offense Bonnie, but nothing attracts more attention like driving down the streets doing anywhere between 50 and 70 miles per hour," Fredbear said, then immediately turned his attention to Buster, "As for you, what a liar you are! I don't know if you're afraid of me or if you underestimate me because of my age, but let me tell you, I'm NOT happy about that." "Déjà vu," Chica said to herself.

"Now that we have these files, where do we keep em?" asked Foxy, "But more importantly, do we read em all together?" "It'd be kind of dumb of us not to read them," said Freddy, "And I know just the place we can read them and have them around without the law trying to go to our homes if it ever came down to that." "Where?" asked Buster, "Please don't say my home." "Your home!" said Freddy sarcastically, "No, obviously not your home. I'm thinking the pizzeria would be a good place to have them. I still have the keys on me so we can enter and exit whenever."

Everyone looked at each other and nodded in agreement. "Alright," said Chica. And so it was off to the pizzeria they went.
