In a round room that looks like a golden lamp, Jay is fighting some skeletons as he kicks some packs and twirls his nunchucks.
A few more came from behind him as Jay twirled the lamp around, which caused one of the walls to turn red as it turned and revealed Kai. "NINJA, GO!" He did Spinjitzu as he knocked some skeletons away as one of them hit a wall as he slid down.
And then from behind the glass wall is Zane as he uses his powers to freeze the wall as some skeletons were running by as Cole appeared through a wall as before Zane broke the ice wall as Jay and Kai came sliding down as they all struck a pose.
And then the four boys Cole slammed the ground, creating a wave effect that knocked the retreating skeletons down as then out from the opposite wall bursted out Samukai with his daggers drawn as he roared and charged at them.
Then dropping down with a golden light behind him was Lloyd and from the shadows behind the boys was Lydie. The two focused and released a blast of Light and Dark energy that sent Samukai flying back through the wall.
The Garma-Twins stood in front of the boys as the four walked up to them. "Do you have the Golden Scroll, Brother?" Lydie asked like she was reading a script.
"I sure do, Sister." Lloyd answered like he was reading a script as well while bringing out a scroll. "But I don't know what it says. Can anyone help me read it?"
"We can!" All six Ninja said in unison as they all moved in sync. "Because reading is the first step towards every adventure! Go Reading Go!" They all shouted.
"And cut!" Dareth's voice called out as it revealed the whole battle was just a commercial set up as the Ninja were in a studio. "Brilliance plus perfection." He said as he walked around the studio as the stage crew cleared up. "Clean up, fellas, and make some headway here. That's a wrap!" He declared.
Then walking in were Nya, Demir, Rose, and Morro, the latter in his new Airjitzu suits which was just like the other Ninja's but had his spiritual animal, a Snake, on a tornado while Nya, Demir and Rose still wore their first gis.
"Wait, a wrap?" Demir repeated in confusion
"Already?" Rose added.
"But we just got here." Morro said in surprise.
"Yeah. Dareth said-" Nya spoke in agreement before she was cut off by said Brown Ninja walking by. them.
"Hey, hey, there's my fellas. Ha, ha." Dareth chuckled. "I knew you could Spinjitzu, but that acting knocked me out!" He quipped before he turned to the other four, "Hey Sweetheart, Heavy Metal, Flower girl, and Big Guy. Nya, Rose, mind sticking around for a segment to teach girls how to apply makeup? And Morro, Ian, think you can do some heavy work for the boys on those crates?" He asked as he gestured to the supplies and the makeup station behind them.
The four glared at Dareth for what he said to them. "Oh, that's what you called us for, huh?" Morro questioned with a snarl.
"You're gonna need makeup when we do heavy work on your face!" Nya growled angrily as she and Morro stomped towards Dareth with their powers out.
But before they could do anything they would regret, or maybe not, Rose and Ian stopped them, "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Easy, Rain Storm." Demir told Morro and Nya.
"We understand your frustration, darlings, but let us save the powers for the enemy," Rose suggested to them.
"Nya and the others are part of the team now. There's no reason they should be treated differently." Jay said while defending the four new ninja.
"No reason!? You added two more girls, another dude and a bad guy to the Group!" Dareth argued. "You know how much that hurts your image? You're a Justice Boy Band, a Heroic Hunk Machine!" He gestured to Kai, Zane and Lydie. But when he saw her frowning at him, he realized his mistake. "Uh, not that, I, uh, saying that adding another girl is…" He trailed off before Lydie grabbed him by his hair. "Not the hair! Not the hair!" He pleaded.
"Listen here and listen good, Dareth." Lydie said with a serious tone. "We're equals. Our power comes from no one being more important than the other. Meaning Nya, Demir, Rose and Morro deserve whatever treatment me, Lloyd and the boys are getting." She pointed out as she dropped Dareth to the floor.
"Heh, whatever you say Captain." Dareth said nervously as he fixed his hair.
"Important, no." Kai suddenly spoke as he turned his back and looked at the exit where a ton of fan girls are. "Irresistible? Uh, debatable." He added as he gave the girls a wink, and as fangirls they are, started shrieking and tried to push their way through the security guards.
Morro saw this and rolled his eyes, "Oh brother." He groaned while covering his eyes.
"Ego much?" Demir questioned with a brow.
"Kai, not the point." Lydie pointed out in annoyance.
"Heh. I don't tell you how to do your business, don't tell me how to do mine." Dareth said as he moved around them. "Remember how every time you saved Ninjago no one cared? Well, now Dareth's in charge and Dareth says don't change the recipe and-OW OWOWOW!" He yelled as Lydie started pulling his hair as Dareth stopped before he looked at Lydie while giving a glare at him.
"Dareth, you really need to stop thinking about fame, because we don't care about fame, we only did our part in protecting Ninjago." Lydie pointed out firmly. "We're not celebrities, we're family, and Nya, Demir, Rose and Morro are part of that family so if they aren't a part of this, then the Ninja won't be a part of this, period." She declared.
"Aw what?" Kai groaned before Lydie gave him the evil eye and he quickly retracted. "Uh, I mean, that's a good point, Captain!" He nervously said.
"I agree, either we're all a part of this or none of us are." Lloyd spoke up.
"Amen to that." Cole agreed.
"Ditto." Jay added.
"Here, here." Zane vouched with his hand raised.
Nya smiled in gratitude, "Thanks guys," She said while Demir and Rose nodded in agreement.
They then turned to Morro who looked away with his arms crossed, "Ahem!" Rose cleared her throat as Morro raised a brow at her as the Master of Nature gestured to the others.
"Huh? Oh right!" Morro said quickly before he cleared his throat. "Uh, thanks." He simply said while Demir and the two girls raised brows at his response. "Hey, give me a break. I'm still getting used to this good guy thing."
Dareth sighed in defeat. "Okay, I'll treat them fairly." He said as he gave a nervous throat. "Though, I, think I should start tomorrow, because I sort of already made an article about you guys in teen idol." He said as he brought out a magazine with Lloyd, Morro, Cole, Nya and Jay on the front.
Lloyd took the magazine, "Sensei Lloyd? But I'm only a sensei in training." He recalled, "And wait, what's this about Morro forcing me to trade him Green for Gold?" He asked as Morro looked at himself.
"What? He wanted to become the Green Ninja at the start and you became Gold after Green." Dareth said with a shrug. "Just seemed sort of obvious how it happened."
Lydie facepalmed herself, "Dareth, Morro didn't force Lloyd to give up the green gi, Lloyd gave it to him. And Lloyd's Golden Gi matches with my purple better since we are Yin & Yang." She explained.
"And what's this about me and Jay fighting over Nya?" Cole asked in surprise, "Everyone knows me and Seliel are a thing. Uh oh, I better call and make sure she doesn't get the wrong idea!" He panicked and pulled out his phone and started dialing Seliel.
"Dareth, you really went overboard with this magazine! This isn't just unwanted attention, this is false advertising." Lydie pointed out in annoyance. "You really should pay more attention to our personal lives."
"Uh, sorry about that. I kinda went overboard with the whole fame thing." Dareth apologized. "But who cares if it's real or not. I know this isn't what you dreamed of, but I think the people would go crazy even more because you guys are the hottest thing in Ninjago!" He called out.
Lydie groaned. "Why did we let you be in charge of these things again?" She questioned as she grabbed the magazine and destroyed it with her darken powers. "At least give us the heads up before you publish these things." She said before walking to the doors, "Come on team, let's get out of here."
Dareth looked nervous though, "Um, I wouldn't go out that way if I were you." He warned.
"And why is that?" Lydie asked rhetorically as she opened the doors and on the other side she saw a mob of fans, "Oh." She said simply before she quickly slammed the door closed as she looked at Dareth. "Turns out your magazine is a hit and we have a bunch of fans out there." She said calmly.
Dareth was surprised by this. "Wow, Lyd, you're taking this well." He said in surprise.
Lydie then moved her finger and shot a tiny blast at Dareth, which caused him to yelp in slight pain from that as it shocked him. "Dareth, I'm doing everything I can to suppress my rage. So to make it up, how about helping get us out of here before I go Dark Lord's daughter on you?" She suggested calmly.
Dareth gave a nervous chuckle. "Heheh, I'll keep the mobs busy while you guys go out through the back." He said as he opened the door and threw himself to the masses.
Lydie sighs. "Why did we put him in charge of this whole fame thing again?" She muttered.
"I have no idea, sister." Nya said dully before giving her and the others a smile. "Thanks for standing up for us, guys." She said.
"Yeah, we appreciated it." Morro said with a small smile.
"Love the support." Demir added with his arms crossed with a smile.
"Thanks for standing up for us." Rose added with a sweet smile.
"Anytime guys." Lloyd answered with a smile. "Now come on, let's get out of here." He said as the others nodded and ran out the back exit.
The Ninja peaked around the corner and saw the fangirls on the other side. Lydie then signaled her friends to walk quietly as they started creeping away.
Before Jay brushed against a foldable sign causing it to fall and getting the attention of the fans, "Oh look! There they are!" One girl squealed.
The Ninja panicked, "That's a bad sign!" Cole said.
"Let's get out of here!" Demir called out as they started running away from their crazy fans before a news played out.
"Fold your drawers, hot off their new LP, it's the sensei-tion sweeping the nation." A man announced as the Ninja then hide in telephone boxes as the fans ran pass them. "The pop that can't seem to stop. Here's another number one hit from Go-Ninja-Go." He said playing the New song 'Back to Ninjago' as the Ninja came out of their hiding places and ran back to where they went before Jay looked behind them.
"Ah! They're coming back! Retreat!" Jay exclaimed as they took off again with their fans following them.
"Engage escape plan: Flight of the Dragon! Now!" Lydie called out as they each summoned their elemental dragons as they took off and flew off from the city, but Nya, Demir and Rose still hadn't learned how to make her own yet, "You can do it guys! Just remember what we taught you!" Lydie called.
The three took a breath each and focused, "Alright, we can do this," Demir concentrated.
"Don't let the fear control you," Rose told herself as they focused their powers.
"Control, the fear." Nya finished before the three jumped and their Elemental Dragons appeared flew up to the others. Nya's dragon was cyan with some maroon details, Demir's was silverish grey with armor and Rose's was bright pink with greenish petal spines.
"Hahaha! we did it!" Demir declared doing an air flip.
"I summoned my elemental dragon!" Nya cheered.
"Haha! Glorious!" Rose said in joy as she flew around.
"Great job guys!" Kai cheered.
"Thatta girl!" Lydie cheered to Rose and Nya.
"Nice job!" Morro told Demir.
"Now, back to the Bounty!" Lloyd called as he led the way as they flew into the sky while their fans tried to reach out.
Demir then turned to Zane, "Not that I care but what's the latest on 'Who's your Favorite Ninja?'?" He asked, referring to the show where the news asks different citizens which among them was their favorite.
"Let us find out." Zane said as they all hover in the air as he brought up a projection of the New Shows from his eyes as it showed two boys and two girls.
"My favorite? Easy. Lloyd. He's the best." The younger boy said.
Lloyd laughed, "Thanks kid." He said.
"I like Kai. He's like so hot. Literally." The teen girl said in excitement as Kai smirked at that response.
The little girl then clapped her hands, "Lydie is my favorite! She saved my balloon from flying away! She's the greatest!" She cheered.
"Aww, you're making blush." Lydie said as she rubbed the back of her head.
"I like the new girl, Rose. She's so beautiful!" The elder boy said while clenching his fists in excitement.
"Hmhmm, I am rather ravishing," Rose said humbly, flipping her hair.
Then a man with a picture of the Ten of them on the tv behind him and holding the magazine Dareth published.
"This reporter is declaring, Crime down, Ninja way up." The newsman said. "Who doesn't like these six Ninjas? Correction, ten." He added with a smirk.
Nya, Demir, Rose, and Morro raised unamused brows, "People are still getting use to that, huh?" Morro asked.
"Well, yeah. It happens to new members." Jay said with a shrug.
"I don't blame them. We are new." Demir said with a shrug as well.
The screen then changed to some fans, "Jay. He is so funny. And cute." The teen girl with glasses said.
Jay gave a chuckle. "Heheh, someone actually thinks I'm funny." He commented.
"I like Demir. I mean, he's like so heavy metal." A boy said while playing an air guitar, which Demir chuckled.
"More metal than he thinks." Demir said with a chuckle.
Then the girl next to her took the microphone. "I like Cole. I mean he's a ghost. You want him, but you can't have him." She exclaimed.
"Uh sorry sister, I'm already taken." Cole said sheepishly.
"Uh, I don't know, I mean the boys are okay but they just seem too straight for me." One girl with a ponytail said before smiling, "Now Morro, ooh-hoo-hoo, I'm totally into that Bad Boy thing he's got going on."
Morro widened his eyes in surprise by what she said as they all turned to him. "Look at that, Morro. You're starting to grow on them." Kai said with a small smile.
"Heh, yeah, guess they're starting to realize I'm pretty awesome." Morro bragged.
Lydie gave a strained smile, "Hehe, Yeah…Awesome." She said through her teeth.
"Is that a hint of jealousy I hear in your voice, dear?" Rose teased.
Lydie blushed and whipped her head, "No! Shut up!" She hissed.
"Who likes Nya?" The reporter asked.
"'Like' her? Meh." The teen girl with glasses answered. "Do I want to be her, Rose or the Lydie Garmadon?" She asked excitedly.
"And get to hang out with them? Oh, my gosh!" The girl next to her exclaimed as she jumped up and down.
The Ninja winced and turned to Nya, who frowned unamused at what they heard and saw. "They are really starting to annoy me." She muttered.
"Easy there, Watergirl, it's still the early days." Demir said to her. "At least you were already part of the team."
And then the scene changes to show something else. "Hey, it's that broadcast you, Cole, Seliel and Jay did earlier." Kai quickly said to ease the tension. "Let's see that." He suggested as the others nodded in agreement as they watched the screen.
Cole and Jay looked at each other in worry, "Uh, oh." They said,
"Just between you and me, Nya, Jay or Cole?" The broadcaster asked.
"Honestly, not a chance. We're a team." Nya answered. "Besides, Seliel is Cole's girlfriend. So I wouldn't take that away from him."
"Amen, sister." Seliel said as she and Nya high-five each other.
"So, instead, I'd rather talk about-" Nya was cut off when the producer spoke.
"Uh-huh. Not a chance? Really?" The broadcast asked with a smirk. "I mean, if Cole really didn't have a girlfriend, would you?"
The audience in the background 'ooooh' each other as the camera zoomed in on Jay, who looked sadly at Nya's response. "I'm telling you, never gonna happen." Nya answered.
The others winced when they saw Tv-Jay's expression as the real-world-him looked away in despair and Nya herself looked uncomfortable when she saw Jay's crushed look, "Nya, really?" Lydie asked her best friend, for saying that while Jay was literally right next to her.
"Ooh." Nya said in guilt. "I should've been more sensitive about that one." She cringed and turned to Jay. "Jay, I'm sorry I-"
"No, it's okay, Nya. I'll see you guys back at the bounty." Jay said as he flew away while leaving the others behind.
Kai sighed and turned to Nya, "Look Nya, you know this gonna sound weird coming from me, but you can't keep messing with Jay like this." He told her.
"What do you mean?" Nya asked.
"Nya, ever since you two broke up after Pixal told us that we were the perfect match, you've been giving Jay signs that you wanna be with him and the next second you don't wanna be with him," Cole explained as he looked at her crossly, "Like I said on the train, I never thought you'd do that to him."
"And not only that, I mean, we saw that you two talk as friends but every so often, it kinda hard not to notice how you two get along." Lloyd added.
Morro nodded and crossed his arms, "I may have just joined this team, but it's pretty obvious you two are just, well," He tried to find the right word.
"Compatible?" Zane offered.
"Yeah, something like that." Morro answered.
"Not to mention, the guy's hung on you like a lovestruck puppy." Demir added with a brow.
Rose then flew closer to the Water Ninja, "And though Jay has made it clear he still sees you as more than a friend, it's become clear that vision is the shared by you as well." She said.
Nya sighed, "Am I that obvious?" She asked.
"Yes." The six Ninja answered at once, which made Nya shocked by that.
"Seriously?" Nya asked in stunned.
"We've all seen it, Nya." Demir told her, "Ironically, the only one who hasn't noticed yet is Jay himself."
"Wait, really?" Nya asked in surprise.
"Not surprising, Nya. You're rejecting words and the break up really kept Jay from noticing." Lydie pointed out.
"Even Pixal can agree to that." Zane said as he tapped his head. "And she still feels guilty for causing the end of your relationship, she has even offered to help remedy it."
"Uh, you do know Pixal is literally in your head, right Zane?" Cole recalled with a brow.
"She has found many excellent places where the two of you can simply talk and develop your relationship back to it's former glory." Zane explained.
Nya blushes, "Oh wow, that's really nice of her, but guys I can't be in a relationship with Jay." She told them.
"And why is that?" Rose asked firmly.
"I'm already the second girl Ninja, Rose, if the news found out me and Jay were together they would never leave us in peace and I'll be judged even more than I was already." She explained.
The others gave unimpressed looks, "So you're breaking Jay's heart, stringing him along that he's got no chance all because you wanna avoid some random bystanders opinions and insane curiosity?" Morro summarized.
"Well, when you put it like that it sounds so…" Nya started.
"Cruel?" Kai offered.
"Unusual?" Zane guessed.
"Selfish?" Cole tried.
"A knucklehead expandotron?" Demir added.
"Or all of the above?" Rose added with a finger raised.
Lydie shook her head. "Nya, you are being so stubborn and unfair to Jay," She told her, "Look, none of us like our new fame either, but Jay doesn't deserve this just because you want to avoid a little extra drama." She pointed out in a disapproving tone. "You gotta make a choice, either you keep playing with Jay's heart like it's rolling dice or risk the unwanted attention just to show him that he's actually got a shot." She said as she flew off.
"She's right, sis. You gotta at least be honest with the guy." Kai said as he gave her his best disappointed brother look, "And I don't care what you say, if you keep this game up, I'm gonna end it myself." He warned before flying after Lydie.
Cole turned to Nya, "Jay's my best friend Nya, and I'm not letting anyone hurt him, even you. So either give it to him straight or get lost." He told her as he flew off after Kai.
Lloyd turned to Nya next. "Nya, I get your still trying to earn your place on the team, but hurting your teammates to do it isn't gonna get you any respect, from the people or us." He told her before flying after Cole.
Zane then turned to her. "I may not have any words for this. But Pixal would like to say sorry for causing your relationship to be crushed and turned around. Since she did started the whole mess in the first place." He said as he flew off.
Morro, Demir, Rose were left as they turned to Nya as she groaned. "Guys, please, I've already gotten the point, I can't keep leading Jay on like this, so please can you not." She pleaded as she got the message.
"We weren't gonna say anything." Rose said to her.
"You already got the point to the others." Demir added.
"What we were gonna say is that none of us are expecting you to just walk up to Jay and, say 'Hey let's give this being a couple thing another shot'," Morro told her.
"All we are asking is to just give him another chance and start off slowly, darling," Rose explained. "Just spend time together, get comfortable with one another and then when the moment is right, tell him you wish to be together."
Nya looked unsure though, "But even if I do give Jay a chance, will he give me a chance?" She asked.
Demir scoffed, "A better question is, would he not give you a chance?" He asked before flying off himself with Morro and Rose behind him.
Nya flew behind the others as she watched them sigh. "I really gotta work on my people skills, But they're right, I can't keep doing this to Jay." She said before thinking, "Maybe I can ask him to take a walk with me, that seems normal and subtly romantic enough." She said to herself while flying off to catch up to the others as the news on the big screen below them was about to finish.
"Aah! Zane." The boy with glasses and a Ninja shirt answered. "Definitely Zane. He's cool. My mom says I'm cool."
"Ninjago is safer because they are here, hiding in plain spot, waiting to defend us from wherever evil lurks." The newsman said. "But the real question we all want to know is, where are the Ninja now?" He asked as they looked up in the sky.
A little bit later, the Destiny's Bounty is hovering above Ninjago City in the clouds to avoid public eyes while the Ninja have their down time.
In Wu's quarters, he, Morro and Cole are meditating, "Focus Cole, remember there's more to a ghost than resistance to physical damage and possessing things." Morro instructed.
"Indeed. Look inwards." Wu added. "When one is a ghost, one may have new abilities. Focus and discover them." He instructed.
Cole concentrated as he floated up and suddenly disappeared as Wu and Morro looked at where Cole was before he reappeared again while looking excited.
"Whoa! Did you see me? I disappeared!" Cole exclaimed. "I mean, did you not see me?!" He corrected them excitedly.
"That's invisibility, Cole." Morro answered with a smirk. "All ghosts have them, even me." He stated as he disappeared and reappeared. "Be careful though, if you use it too much you'll find yourself disappearing and never reappearing."
"What?!" Cole exclaimed in fear.
Morro laughed, "Gotcha!" He exclaimed with a chuckle. "That's not really gonna happen. Though you gotta be careful if someone brought in some water and spilled it if you are next to them while invisible. Because even being invisible can lead to trouble." He advised.
"Then it's a good thing these suits are able to block out small and medium amounts of water." Cole said in relief.
"But should you fall in the ocean, even your suits will not protect you, but still very good Cole." Wu said with a proud smile. "Only you can unlock what is truly inside. That is it for today." He said as they hear grunting and kicking sounds.
"Looks like Nya is venting out her frustration on Dareth again." Morro commented. "I would done the same."
On deck, it was just as Morro said, Nya was Vent Training, destroying the sparring bots while Lydie and Rose watched her from the sides.
"Still ticked off about earlier, Nya?" Lydie asked casually.
"Dareth wants us to teach girls how to cook?" Nya questioned as she looked at the dummy bots. "How about I teach them how to do this?!" She then blasted her water power at the sparring bots as she blasted them all at once.
But she paused when she saw Jay and Zane playing chess and frowned, "Feeling guilt for the many Faux-romantic rejections and platonic statements?" Rose asked rhetorically.
Nya frowned as she slumped. "To be honest, yeah. I mean, it's one to say it to my friends, but saying those kind of words with Jay next to me and on public TV, I really crossed a line." She said in guilt.
"You've already crossed that line when you hit on Cole behind Jay's back." Lydie pointed out. "Still he must've been pretty crushed when he found out it was you who came off on Cole and not the other way round as he thought." Lydie said before she noticed Nya's nervous expression and gaped in shock, "Wait, you didn't tell him?!" She shouted.
"Beg your pardon?" Rose asked in confusion.
Nya shushed, "Quiet! Please!" She whispered as she turned to where Jay is, but the blue ninja was way too focused on the match against Zane as she sigh in relief before turning to the two girls.
"Hold on just moment, you mean to yell us you never told Jay how you approached Cole behind his back?!" Rose questioned quietly with a look of disbelief, having been brought up to speed about the 'Perfect Match' Incident, "And Cole took the fall for your mistake when Jay learned of this?!"
"I know, I know! But I spent all this time making Jay think I wasn't an option, if he finds out what I did behind his back, he'll never forgive him." Nya said in worry.
"And dumping him and crushing his feelings would be any better than talking about it?!" Lydie pointed out. "When are you gonna grow up and take responsibility, Nya?! You've been like this since the day we met, with the whole Samurai X thing, the solo missions, and not to mention, complaining while thinking you aren't cut out to be a Ninja when you discovered your powers!" She listed out, "And everytime you do this, someone else is always taking the fall, first Lloyd, then me and the guys, Cole, Ronan, Demir and Rose, and now Jay! Can't you accept your mistakes and try to amend them!?"
"Would you three keep it down over there?!" Jay called out as the girls flinched, "Some of us are trying to win here!"
"Let me guess, Zane wins by 99 games to your none, Darling?" Rose questioned with a teasing smile.
Jay's eyes widened as Zane smiled, "Indeed, and number 99 was my most difficult victory yet." He commented.
Jay rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Just keep it down. I need to focus." He said as he and Zane went back into the game.
"Jay shall never claim victory against Zane, correct?" Rose asked.
"Not unless Jay is a Nindroid himself, which he's not, considering." Lydie joked before shook her head as Nya sighed slightly. "Seriously, Nya. You gotta listen and learn how to work as a team." She said softly. "You've been doing the solo thing when you were Samurai X but now that you're a ninja, that kind of attitude doesn't fly here, I mean even Morro's acting more teamplayer than you."
"Which is quite saying something considering his lone wolf character," Rose chimed in.
"You gotta learn to learn the phrase, 'actions have consequences', like when Lloyd was captured when you made the guys jealous of your former Samurai alter ego." Lydie said as she began to walk off before giving Nya one last look. "There are things in our past we can't change, Nya. But we have to try to amend them for the future." She finished as she walked away.
Nya looked down sadly as Rose came up to her, "Perhaps we should try this together, yes?" She suggested with a comforting smile.
"I'm okay with that." Nya said with a small smile as she looked at the training bots before she blasted them again, though with less rage this time but the bots still spun around while Rose did a few kicks and punches.
Zane and Jay look at their chess board as Zane gives a smile. "I win again." Zane said as he placed his piece down as the king toppled as Jay groaned as Cole walked by them with a cheerful expression.
"Ah, Mini-Droid chess." Cole said happily. "So what's the tally now? A hundred games to none?" He guessed as he gave a small laugh.
Jay rolled his eyes as he looked at Zane. "Set them up, Zane. We're going again." He said as he and Zane reset their pieces as Jay turned to Cole. "What's got you cheery?" He asked as he noticed Cole's happy expression.
"Remember back in the Tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master, when we all saw the reflection of our future selves?" Cole asked them with a smile.
"You mean when you couldn't see anything?" Jay questioned as he remembered that day.
"Yeah, it wasn't because I'm a goner." Cole stated with a wide smile. "It's because I can disappear." He demonstrated as he disappeared and reappeared with a pose.
"Oh, then why don't you make like a ghost and vanish. I need full concentration." Jay said as he waved Cole away while looking at his chess board.
"Oh. Touchy are we?" Cole asked with a smirk. "Teach him a lesson, Zane." He said as he laughed and walked off with a happy whistle.
Zane sighs as he shakes his head. "You still haven't told him what you saw in your future's reflection, have you?" He asked.
Jay had a flashback as when they were in the tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master, he saw his future self with an eyepatch and somehow Nya was there next to him.
"And ruin our friendship? No, thanks." Jay said as he moved his pawn as Zane moved his and took Jay's. "Even if Cole and Seliel are a thing, I rather not take any chances. Besides, even if it were true, Nya's mind is made up. It's never gonna happen." He said as he turned back to Nya as she kept training as he sighs. "I was fine until I saw us together. Now it's all I think about." He stated.
Nya then stood there and heard most of what Jay said about her mind made up of not being in a relationship as Misako came in and picked up the sparring bot's pieces. "Bad day? Lydie told me what happened." Misako said knowingly. "You're supposed to hit them, not destroy them." She stated.
"Some of us are just taking being the new girl harder than others," Rose explained with her hand on her hip.
Nya looked around as she gave a depressed look. "I'm a girl, but I'm also a lot of other things. But what does that matter when everyone only sees me as one thing. The Second Girl Ninja." She said as she walked up to the edge. "I just wanna be given a fair shot, without any help from the others."
"Why? To make things easier? And Rose seems to have no problem with asking the boys for help." Misako said with a smile as she picked up the head of the sparring bot while gesturing to Rose.
"My father once said 'The harder it is, the more you will excel. You will never be happy if you let the world define you, You have to define yourself'." Rose recited with a finger up, "And sometimes that means accepting help when life becomes hard."
"Well spoken," Misako said as she turned to the girls once the bots were put together. "Now again. And this time, destroy all the targets." She instructed before gesturing with her eyes to Jay. "And perhaps, give just a hint of more honesty to your strikes."
Nya nodded as Rose began fighting the sparring bots while she turned to Jay to see him looking at her with Zane and sighed, "Um, Jay?" Nya called.
Jay was cut off guard by this and fumbled to answer, "Wah! Uh-um-uh yes?" He asked with a small smile, leaning against the table.
Nya rubbed her arm sheepishly, "Well, I feel bad for what I said at the TV station and well," She took a breath and smiled, "How about I make it up to you? A walk around the park later? We could even stop for a bite." She offered.
Jay was surprised by Nya's offer as thought of the words he said. "Uh, yeah. Sure. Why not." He said, a little caught off guard by that.
Nya smiled a little as she went back to her training as Jay breathed out. "Wow, that was unexpected. I guess maybe fate's finally letting me win." He said as he moved a chess piece as he took Zane's.
Zane then moved his piece as he tilted the king again. "Checkmate. Again." He said, which caused Jay to groan and fell on the board in defeat. "A 101 to 0." He said in amusement.
And then, Lloyd came walking on deck. "Sensei's back, and there's trouble." He informed them as they all raced to the bridge.
"What is it?" Kai asked. "Have they sold out of Kai action figures? I knew there wasn't enough." He groaned.
Wu shook his head from that as he turned to them. "No. It appears when you destroyed the Curse Realm, one ghost escaped. And you know him all too well." He said as he gestured to a monitor.
The monitor shows a familiar ghost who they thought they would never see again, a ghost the Lydie and Lloyd despise.
"Clouse." Lydie growled, hating their dad's rival as much as their father did. "Of all the ghosts to escape the Curse Realm, it had to be that wizard wannabe?" She questioned in hate.
"Security footage shows him buying a train ticket that will arrive in Stiix in just a few hours." Wu informed.
"We heard about Clouse." Demir said with a glare, "He was Master Chen's right hand man, right?"
"And sorcerer of dark magic." Cole added.
"And the cherry on top, a rival of our departed father." Lydie said as she and Lloyd glanced at the mannequin case holding their father's robe, as a way of honoring his memory.
"Well, what would Clouse wants with Stiix?" Jay questioned. "That place was totally wrecked after our fight with the Cursed Realm." He reminded them.
"Indeed, nowadays Stiix is little more than a salvage yard for old rubbish," Rose added.
"Exactly, there must be a relic there he wants." Morro told him.
"That's why I want you to go there and stop whatever it is he is planning to do." Wu told them.
"But Dareth wanted us to visit the hospital for that Great-A-Wish thing." Kai pointed out while Wu gave him a look.
Lloyd then grabs Kai by the shoulder. "Hey, we take orders from Sensei Wu, not Dareth." He reminded Kai. "Lil' Nelson only has a broken leg." He added.
"And if his wish is to be a ninja for a day, that day can be tomorrow." Lydie added before she looked at them with a determined look. "Suit up and mount up!" She called out as they all rushed out the bridge to prepare.
Wu and Misako looked at the Ninja with pride. "They are growing up." Misako said proudly.
"Yes, they are." Wu said in agreement. "But I'd still like to think Ninjago would fall apart without us." He commented as the two looked at each other.
In the skies, the Ninja are flying on their dragons as Nya did hers to do a spin. "Back to the grind." She commented.
"Finally, something other than signing autographs or making appearance 24/7." Demir added.
"Ha, if it weren't for the Bounty, I don't think we'd ever get any peace and quiet." Jay commented as he got a point since the people in Ninjago City below them started cheering them as their fans either screamed in excitement or livestream them.
"We're just over Ninjago City." Kai called out. "Is that where Lil' Nelson is? What do you say, drop by for a quick stop? In and out." He asked them.
"We don't have time for this." Lloyd told him.
"He's right," Lydie added, "Every second we waste gives Clouse time to find, whatever it he's looking for!" She said, "Look, I don't like disappointing kids but we have a duty to protect Ninjago."
"Technically, we do have time." Zane called out. "As long as we don't encounter any problems."
"What does sensei always say?" Cole asked.
Morro sighed, "Never put off until tomorrow what can be done today." He stated, "Let's just hope we aren't putting off the right thing."
"Well, just as Zane said, we have time so long as we do not encounter any problems." Rose reminded with a hand up.
"And you can't argue a Nindroid's logic. So let's go." Lloyd said as the Ninja turned their dragons around to the hospital.
At the hospital, the Ninja are in a room with some casted injured kids as Lloyd signed Nelson, with Fuchsia pajamas, casted leg. "As part of the Grant-A-Wish Foundation, we dub you Honorary Ninja for the Day." Lloyd declared as Lydie gave Nelson a black headband as the kids around cheered for him.
"Aw. I wish I broke both my legs." The boy with a casted right arm whined.
"Could you stay to sign their casts?" Nelson asked them.
Rose smiled at him, "Aw, I truly wish we could, dear, but sadly, duty calls." She said to Nelson with a hand on his shoulder and turned to her team. "Alright darling, let us hurry along to Stiix, Chop-chop."
Just then, Cole and Jay heard cheering as they hid beside the windows. "Uh, not sure how far we'll get. Looks like we got company." Cole called out.
Jay looked out the window and the moment he did he saw fans and they shrieked so loudly he heard them from where they were as he quickly hid beside the window. "How did they find us?" He questioned, since they were stealthy enough to get to the hospital even with their dragons.
Kai was looking at a phone with a smirk. "'Reply. Of course I'm at the hospital. My hair is sick.' Haha, send." He pressed on the phone.
The others now get what happened as they turned to him. "Are you sending out a chirp?!" Nya questioned her brother in disbelief.
Kai looked at her, "Hey, my followers have needs too!" He defended.
Morro pointed outside, "Look out the window," He stated as Kai looked down and as soon as the fans shrieked, he yelped and leapt back.
Kai let out a nervous chuckle as the others scowled at him, "Um, sorry." He apologized.
Zane then walked up to the window while glaring at Kai. "If you recall, I said we would get to Stiix in time minus any problems." He reminded him as he looked out the window as the fans shrieked as he hid. "This constitutes a major problem." He stated.
Lydie glared at Kai. "Give me that, Kai!" She exclaimed as she snatched his phone from him as she put it away. "For now on, I'm keeping your phone out of reach when we go on missions, because your obsession with fame is really starting to tick me off." She pointed out in annoyance.
"You're not the only one." Nya said in agreement that her brother blew their cover.
Outside, the fans are still shrieking in excitement as one of the girls looks at her phone. "His hair is sick." She gasped in excitement. "He is here! Aah!" She screamed as the crowds screamed in excitement as they pushed past the guards and into the building.
"For pete-sake! Put me down! I'm a grown up. Whoa!" a guard called out as he fell to the floor.
Cole looked down and saw the fan push past security and barged into the hospital, "They're coming! What do we do?" He questioned.
"We need to get out of here and get to Stiix before we go from celebrities to paparazzi bait." Lydie called out.
"Yeah, well, I don't see us flying out of here with all these birds in the sky." Demir pointed out as NGTV news copters are flying close to the building.
"My, news certainly travels fast in this city." Rose commented.
"They're right. No dragons." Lloyd stated. "If we're gonna escape, we can't be followed." He said.
"You say I'm a ninja for the day," Nelson asked with a smile. "Call me the Fuchsia Ninja!" He declared as he put on a fuchsia Ninja hood as he kicked open the door with his casted legs and led the Ninja across the hallways.
Nya noted Nelson's hood, "That hood looks legit. Did you make that?" She asked.
"You have a lot of time on your hands when you break both your legs." Nelson explained.
"Not bad, kid," Morro complimented with a smile.
They made it to the corner as they saw the fans right in front of them as Nelson turned to the door where the stairs are. "This way. Double leg!" He called out as he busted the door open as the Ninja followed as the fans chased them before Nelson closed the door as he kept it shut. "This is as far as I can go. Follow this up to the rooftop. From there, take the back streets." He instructed while pointing upstairs. "I'll hold them off at the pass."
"Lil' Nelson, I mean, Fuchsia Ninja, thanks." Lydie said with a proud smile.
"No. Thank you." Nelson said happily. "You made my wish come true."
"Keep training hard and maybe someday, you'll be an official member of our team." Lydie said as Nelson smiled brightly.
The Ninja waved to Nelson goodbye as they climbed upstairs while Nelson stayed behind to keep the door closed to hold them off.
At the rooftop, the Ninja exit the door as they are now on the roof as they take a breather.
"Whew. Looks like we lost them." Cole said in relief.
"But the nearest rooftop is still too far to jump." Lloyd pointed out that the closest buildings are too far for jumping, even for them.
"Airjitzu?" Kai suggested.
"Whoa." Nya stopped them from that idea. "I just learned how to make an elemental water dragon. I haven't even earned my Airjitzu suit yet." She reminded them.
"And neither did me and Rose." Demir added while gesturing to himself and Rose. "We've barely even gotten our Spinjitzu down."
"But if we don't leave now, we'll never get to Stiix and stop Clouse." Zane reminded them.
Jay walked up to them, "We're a team. We stick together." He said, holding Zane and Nya's shoulders.
"Thanks, but I could stick out for myself." Nya said harshly as she walked up a bit.
Lydie facepalmed. "Really, Nya? Right now?" She questioned in annoyance.
"He was only trying to be nice." Cole said, defending Jay.
"It's okay, right now we're just having our first fight." Jay reasoned.
Nya caught what Jay said as she whipped around to face him. "What do you mean, 'right now'? And just what are you implying by 'we'?" She questioned with her hands on her hips.
Jay realized what he said as he shook his head and just shrugged before a helicopter came flying towards them.
"They're gonna see us!" Lydie called out as she pointed to a helicopter.
"Quick, take cover!" The Ninja then did Airjitzu, with Lloyd and Morro helping Demir and Rose, behind a billboard with graffiti of their colors schemes in it as they blended in as Nya walked up to them.
"Nya, you need to hide too." Jay called out as Nya stopped and turned her back as Jay groaned. "Ugh. Forget what I said, just take my hand." He called out as he reached his hand out to her.
Nya frowned and turned to him, "No, what did you mean when you said 'we'?" She demanded, "I'm a Ninja, and I'm nobody's girl." She reminded him.
Demir raised his hands, "Now, really?! You wanna talk about this now?!" He asked in disbelief.
"Just take his hand, Nya! Or else we're gonna be spotted!" Cole called out.
Lydie glared at Nya, "Nya, just this once forget about your stubborn pride and just accept help when it's offered!" She yelled, which made Nya flinch as a helicopter flew over them.
"Oh dear," Rose cringed.
"Too late." Kai said in defeat. "So much for stopping Clouse." He sighed as the helicopter circled over them.
Lloyd groaned. "Let's just hope he missed his train." He said.
"Not likely," Morro said, crossing his arms and leaning against the board.
Lydie gave a look at Nya. "Way a go, Nya. You blew our cover and our shot at stopping Clouse." She said in slight anger.
Nya knew she was right and right then and there realized what she did and facepalmed herself. "Stupid! Stupid! I did it again!" She groaned to herself.
At Stiix, a junk ship was passing by as it landed on the port as Clouse was near an alley looking at it as he got his hood up and gave a determined look.
Back at Ninjago City, the others leaned against the billboard dully, knowing there was no getting away now.
Jay looked over at Nya and held out his hand as she just turned away, ashamed at what she did.
"Ugh. They found us." Cole groaned. "Now what do we do?"
"Just do what you're doing." Dareth said as he was in the helicopter as it flew close to them. "But don't run away from the cameras. Run towards them." He declared. "Ninja visit hospital. This is gold!"
"Dareth! Can't you see we're trying to do our job, protecting Ninjago and your ridiculously need to keep us famous is making it impossible!" Lydie shouted.
"My sister is right! We don't need more publicity! We need less!" Lloyd added. "We have to get to Stiix and stop Clouse!" He explained.
"Could be a big scoop." Dareth said eagerly before he dodge from a blast as he yelped and turned to see it was from Lydie.
"Dareth! What part of protecting Ninjago don't you understand?!" Lydie questioned in frustration. "Don't you remember that Clouse was Master Chen's Number 2 and Master of Dark Magic, if he's out and has something cooking, no one's gonna be around to see you scoop! So how about instead of trying to keep the cameras on us, get us out of public eyes and to Stiix! We're already far behind Clouse as it is!" She yelled out in anger.
Dareth gave a frightful look as he looked nervous. "Uh, say no more. Hop it!" He said quickly as they all hopped into the helicopter as they took off while the others, minus Jay, gave a look at Nya.
Nya rubbed the back of her head, "I really messed up didn't I?" She said.
"Ya think?!" They all shouted in disbelief.
"Nya, what is wrong with you?! We talked about your stubbornness on the Bounty!" Lydie recalled. "And yet you think it was a good time to talk to Jay about the whole 'we' thing when we tried to stay hidden?! What part of being team don't you get?!" She asked, getting in Nya's face as the water ninja backed up against the wall.
Nya looked around nervously as she gave a sheepish chuckle. "I-I guess we should work together?" She asked nervously.
"Exactly!" Lydie yelled with her arms raised. "Can you at least co-operate and stop thinking you can do everything by yourself? Because that stubborn pride of yours is gonna get you into serious trouble one day." She stated.
Nya looked to the others, hoping for some help but they all seem to be on Lydie's side on this, even Jay seemed reluctant to say anything against the purple Ninja, 'I don't blame him. I wouldn't side with me either, not after what I did.' She thought to herself while looking down in guilt.
"Alright, now let's all just calm down now," Rose said, pushing the two girls apart, "What's done is done, what matters now is that we get to Stiix and find Clouse," She reminded them before she looked to Nya, "But the next time one of us offers help, Nya, do not be ashamed to take it, alright?"
Nya thought for a moment before slowly nodded in agreement as Rose smiled, "Excellent," She said before she turned to the pilot. "Now, full speed ahead! We mustn't let Clouse get away!" She ordered.
"Yes ma'am." The pilot nodded in understanding as he picked up the speed to Stiix.
Back at Stiix, some salvagers and some cranes are picking up some junk from the water or the boat as Clouse is on the boat looking for something.
"No. No. No." Clouse said as he searched for something as he looked down and saw a teapot in the shape of an oil-lamp among the junk as he picked it up and inspected it. "Hmm. Yes." He said with a smirk before he ran off the boat and into an abandoned building.
Once Clouse was out of sight, he took off his hood as he looked at the teapot. "The Teapot of Tyrahn." He said as he started rubbing it as he expected something to happen. "Work, darn you!" He said in frustration before he noticed a pirate symbol that was out of place and shifted the parts of the teapot around to complete the picture.
The teapot then started shaking as it started glowing, which cause Clouse to drop the teapot as it glowed bright before an orange mist appeared and from it was a four armed man with a black ponytail, wearing green armor with the pirate symbol on the chest plate, a red scarf and has a hook on his lower left ar. "I'm free." He questioned once he noticed Clouse. "Where am I? What year is it?" He asked
Clouse backed away in awe, "N-Nadakhan. It's you. I've freed a genie." He said in awed.
Nadakhan circled around Clouse. "I prefer the term Djinn." He said as he got close to Clouse's face with a smirk.
"Who cares?" Clouse questioned. "I want my three wishes." He demanded.
Nadakhan hummed, as if he was expecting this demand. "Mm. I must warn you. You cannot wish for love, death or most certainly-" He listed out before Clouse nodded his head.
"More wishes. Yes, yes, I know the rules." Clouse said impatiently as he cleared his throat. "Ahem. I wish for my Book of Spells." He wished as he was surrounded by orange sparkles.
"Very well. Your wish is yours to keep." Nadakhan nodded as he bowed.
Just then, Clouse's spell book appeared behind them as Clouse turned and ran to his spell book and picked it up as he turned the pages as he laughed nostalgically and nuzzled his book. "Tricked you! Now, with my spells, who needs more wishes!" He declared, but then his book began to burn up and turned into ash, which shocked him. "Oh. What's happening?" He questioned as he dropped his book.
Nadakhan gave a slight chuckle as he flew next to Clouse. "You should've known the book was last thrown into a fire. Perhaps you should wish for more than a pile of ash." He suggested it amusingly.
Clouse gave an angry look. "You conniving genie!" He growled.
"Djinn." Nadakhan corrected. "And for your second wish?" He asked.
Clouse then stood up and looked at his ghostly form, "There's no way I can defeat those Ninja if I continue to be a ghost." He said in a thoughtful tone as he took a breath. "I wish…" He started as orange sparks appeared again. "I wish to become mortal again."
"Your wish is yours to keep." Nadakhan said.
Clouse's body then started to regain human form as he touched his solid arms. "Yes. Yes, it's working. I can- I can feel again." He said happily as he could feel his hand before he started screaming in pain as he fell to the floor. "My hands! My head! The pain!" He screamed as he felt some painful feelings in his body.
Nadakhan chuckled as he watched Clouse writhe in agony, "Yes. Becoming physical is a painful process." He started as Clouse kept screaming. "I wish it could be over soon, but right now you're probably thinking about your last wish." He said as he flew around. "But the pain is too unbearable to think clearly. Wish it all to go away." He suggested with a smirk.
"I- I wish it all to go away!" Clouse shouted as he made his last wish as Nadakhan smirked.
"Your wish is yours to keep." Nadakhan said as Clouse felt the pain go away but any relief he had was short lived as he shrunk and was sucked into the Teapot as he tried to swim out but he was suck inside. "Be careful what you wish for." He said as he gave a sinister laugh as he poof away.
A little bit later, the Ninja are now in their civilians clothes as Zane poke out of an alleyway as he scan the people with Pxial's help to find Clouse, but so far, no match.
"I detect no trace of Clouse." Pixal said to Zane.
"He isn't here." Zane informed the others as they regrouped and searched through the wreckage.
"He could be long gone by now." Cole stated.
"Whatever Clouse came here for, he must've found it." Demir said while checking the wreckage. "Because the junk ship took off not long ago."
"But whatever it is, it's hard to tell with all this junk around." Lloyd said, kicking a can aside.
"Not all of it, look what I found. A Kai Action Figure." Kai said as he held up an action figure of himself. "Some fan probably lost it. No way anyone threw this out. Practically priceless." He said as he inspected his action figure.
"Kai, that's not why we're here. Stay on mission." Lydie reminded him as they searched around.
Lloyd then lifted his arm with the communicator hiding in his sleeves. "No sign of Clouse." He informed.
"Better keep looking." Misako said to them.
At the Bounty, Misako is monitoring things on the bridge. "Wu's at the Domu Library researching what Clouse could be looking for." She informed them.
"If I hear of anything, you'll be the first to know." Misako said to them as Lloyd nodded and Zane laughed as Cole teased Kai with his doll.
Lloyd then turned to them. "Come on, guys. Let's keep our eyes peeled." He said to them.
"We need to find Clouse before he gets too far. Stiix is a small town so we'll find him sooner or later." Lydie stated as Jay then spotted something on the ground.
"Hey look, another Kai Doll." Demir said as he picked up another Kai toy as the others turned and saw a whole lot more on the ground behind them. "There's dozens of 'em." He said in amusement.
Morro picked one up and smirked at Kai, "Practically priceless? I think you mean practically worthless." He snarked.
Kai groans as he tosses the action figure he had in his hands away as he accepted that they are worthless.
In Ninjago City, Nadakhan appeared in an alleyway as he took on human form to blend in once he entered the city. Once he saw the city, he was stunned by what he saw as he didn't realize how much time had passed as he walked across a street while some cars skid to a stop or turned away from him.
Nadakhan then passed a person as he bumped into his shoulder. "Watch where you're going." The man said rudely before he chuckled. "Nice hair, bozo." He added as he walked off.
Nadakhan ignored him as he continued on before he stopped on a screen. "You look lost. Can I be of assistance?" The computer AI that looks and speaks like Cyrus Borg asked.
"Hmm. Are you trapped too?" Nadakhan asked the screen in confusion.
"I'm sorry I don't understand your query." The computer said, "You are talking to Infovision. Ask a question and maybe I can answer."
Seeing this as a source of information, Nadakhan grabbed the computer. "Where is my crew?" He questioned.
"You'll have to be more specific." The computer said.
"The crew of Misfortune's Keep." Nadakhan summarized with his arms crossed.
"Misfortune's Keep. The most feared pirate ship that ruled the high seas, taken down by Captain Soto and his Destiny Bounty at the end of the era of the Stone Warrior." The computer explained while showing a picture of Misfortune's Keep ship before it showed Captain Soto and his crew. "The Misfortune's captain, Nadakhan the Djinn, with powers to grant others wishes, was trapped in the Teapot of Tyrahn, while his crew was later marooned in separate realms by the First Spinjitzu Master himself." It explained as it then showed Nadakhan's picture and the teapot he was trapped in.
"Separate realms?" Nadakhan asks in shock at the fate of his crew as the screen then shows the Realm Crystal.
"After the Ninja discovered the Realm Crystal in the Tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master, it is common knowledge that Ninjago is one of sixteen realms," The computer explained as Nadakhan picked out his pocket watch and looked at the picture inside longly.
"Which realm is Delara in?" Nadakhan asked hopefully.
The computer then brought up a silhouette of a woman that greatly resembled Nya, "No known image of Delara. Quartermaster of Misfortune's Keep and love of Nadakhan the Djinn. Died shortly after Nadakhan's imprisonment." It explained.
"Died?" Nadakhan asked in shock that his beloved had passed on when he was imprisoned in the teapot.
"Died. To expire, to croak or to tint-" The computer continued before Nadakhan leaned closed to it with his eyes narrowed.
"Where is this Realm Crystal?" Nadakhan questioned seriously.
"Location classified." The computer answered while showing the realm crystal again with an X marked on it. "Since Realm crossing is prohibited, it is under the protection of Sensei Wu and the Masters of Spinjitzu." It added, showing an image of Sensei Wu and the Ninja.
Nadakhan looked closely at Wu, remembering him to be one of the sons of the Creator of Ninjago, "Then tell me how to find them." He said with a serious look.
Back at Stiix, the Ninja regrouped by a bar and Lydie sighed, "Okay, clearly Clouse is hiding better than we thought or he's already gone." She before glancing to Nya, "Which might not have happened if someone wasn't so proud to accept a little help."
"I know I messed up, okay?" Nya said in slight guilt. "Can we please just drop it?"
"I don't get it. You'd think they'd remember seeing another ghost." Cole commented as Stiix is the most common place to have seen ghosts after the Cursed Realm invasion.
"I think after the whole Preeminent thing and the Cursed Realm destruction, nothing surprises folks around here anymore." Morro shrugged as he looked around, "Frankly, I'm surprised no-one even batted an eye at us. I mean, Lloyd and the others may blend in but you, me and Zane stick out like sore thumbs." He added in surprise.
"I guess with all that's happened around Ninjago, nothing surprises ya anymore." Demir said with a shrug. "Snakes, walking statues, robots and the undead," He listed out.
"Wow, we have really weird lives," Jay commented, now seeing they have been through a lot.
"I know. I haven't even been asked to give a single autograph." Kai complained as he turned to the people around them. Not that I want the attention!" He yelled out before the crowd turned to him and shushed at them to be quiet as they turned to a TV channel.
"I don't think they're ignoring us, Kai. I think they are focusing on something else. Look." Lydie said as she pointed to the TV as it showed the news.
"Where are the Ninja? This reporter has the answer." The Reportered started as it brought the others attention.
"Hey, can you turn it up?" Lloyd asked them.
"Hey. No one here cares for them fruit-colored ninja." The man said to them, not knowing that he was talking to said 'fruit-colored' Ninja themselves.
"Excuse me." Cole said in offensive. "What kinda fruit's black?!" He questioned.
"Uh, Blackberries?" Jay answered with a teasing smirk.
"Shut it, Jay." Cole shot back.
Rose looked at the TV and saw something shocking, "Friends, look!" She told the others.
"They're calling it the crime wave of the Century!" The Reporter continued as he showed them the video of a bank robbery with a shocking culprit, "Earlier today, Golden Ninja Lloyd Garmadon was caught on tape, robbing the city bank." He continued as the video showed Lloyd walking out of the bank with bags of money laughing like how he used to when he was a kid.
"Whoa! That looks like me!" Lloyd called out in shock as did the others.
"And that's not all." The reporter continued as it then showed Mega Monster Amusement Park where it showed Zane destroying the roller coaster, "At Mega Monster Amusement Park, Zane was rampage of vandalism and mayhem."
"Hey, wait," Zane spoke in surprise. "My memory has no recollection of that!" He said in confusion.
"Someone's pretending to be us!" Kai exclaimed as the TV continued to show the 'Ninja' crimes.
"But why?" Nya asked in shock.
"And how?" Demir questioned.
"Whoever they are, they are doing a pretty good job." Lydie said with a shocked expression.
The TV continued as it showed Rufus and his comic store to show fans throwing away Ninja's collectables. "I am ashamed I even wore their underwear." Rufus said before he realizes what he said. "Oh, I mean T-Shirts." He corrected.
And then the scene showed Jay's parents, with Edna crying while Ed comforted her. "Any comment about your son's offenses?" The reporter asked them.
"Jay would never do this." Ed said in defense of their son. "And if he did, he had a good reason." He said firmly before looking away with little confidence, "I hope."
Jay then looked in surprise. "You hope? It wasn't me, Dad! It wasn't me!" He shouted as the TV showed him stealing a picture of Clouse with a couple of cops looking at him as he walked off.
"Jay. Shh." Cole shushed.
"Can you believe 'em?" The man from earlier asked in disbelief, "They destroy our village, acted like they saved the place, invite that homewreckin' ghost to join 'em and then go around doing as they please." He listed out.
Morro let out a nervous laugh, "Heh. Yeah. You're right. Ninja, ugh, hate them." He said nervously while Jay laid his head down at the thought of his parents betraying him.
Nya comforted him, "Jay, you know your parents have always got your back." She reminded as she rubbed his back.
"And it's not just them, look." Lydie smiled as he pointed to the TV as it showed Skylor next.
"I've known the Ninja since we met. They stop crime, not cause it!" Skylor said firmly to the reporter, "This has got to be a frame-up!"
"I raised my daughter to be a proper young lady! The idea that she would turn to a life of crime is preposterous!" Rose's mother said in front of her manor.
The TV then showed Cyrus. "I trust the Ninja with my life after Zane sacrificed his life to defeat the Overlord when he took control of my creations that nearly destroyed us all." He said before looking to the tv, "Ninja, if you're hearing this, don't worry. Borg Industries always has your back!"
And then the TV showed the Royal Family outside the palace as the Emperor, Emperess and Harumi are outside. "The Ninja have time and time again risked their lives to protect Ninjago, asking for nothing in return. For them to turn to petty criminals for no reason, especially with their newfound fame, is outrageous!" The Emperor declared. "This must be the work of a greater force seeking to turn us against them so they may do as they please while we're defenseless."
"The Ninja helped me when I lost my birth family when the Great Devourer attacked." Harumi said as she moved to take her father's place. "They are my friends, and I know they would never do something like this!" She called out in confidence and slight anger.
Lloyd was surprised by this, "Rumi?" He said.
Harumi then looked at the camera. "Lloyd, if you and your friends are watching this, please, run and find a place to hide. My parents and I will do what we can to sort this out. But please, be safe and stay together." She said before the TV changed again.
The Ninja watched with a smile as the other people watching groaned. "Ninja supporters. Bleh, they had too many friends." A man said in disgust.
"Uh, we should get out of here." Lydie suggested, knowing that they really shouldn't be in public right now.
The TV then showed the commissioner. "They are armed and dangerous. And they have legs." He warned, "If you see them, do not approach. Call local law enforcement so that we can apprehend them."
Zane then pulled out his phone and dialed the police. "Hello, local law enforcement? We are the-" He spoke before his friends turned to him.
"Zane! What are you doing?!" Lloyd asked in shock.
Demir then grabbed his phone and spoke instead, "Whoops, sorry, my buddy was trying to order pizza, must've put in the wrong number, toodles!" He said quickly before hanging up. "What's wrong with you, Zane?!" He whispered harshly.
"I am programmed to obey the law." Zane said casually with a shrug. "Not telling them our lactation would be a direct violation." He explained.
"Remind us to work on that program of yours later, Zane." Lydie muttered in irritation.
The people then noticed the group and walked up to them, "Hey, aren't you?" A man asked in realization.
The Ninja stood up, realizing they're cover's blown as Jay spoke up. "No, no. We're not the Ninja. We're that other group with a Nindroid, two ghosts, three girls and four boys-" He listed out nervously as the others stood up as eight men stood up and walked towards them.
"Ah! Ten on ten. At least it's an even number." Kai commented as the Ninja backed away.
"I did not join the good side so that I could be put behind bars." Morro stated as he ready his powers for production as wind circled around his hand.
"We're not gonna fight them!" Lydie pointed out.
"Right now, it's us who look like the bad guys!" Lloyd added in agreement.
"Then how are we supposed to defend ourselves? Witty banter?" Jay questioned.
"Statistically speaking, your witty banter tends to only get us into more trouble." Zane stated.
"Then I suppose our only option would be to RUN!" Rose exclaimed as they took off with the mob charging right behind them.
"I like it better when they were fans." Kai said as they kept running before they stopped as they saw local cops searching for them in a concern.
They look around as they saw a ladder as they climbed to the rooftops and run through roofs while using Airjitzu to get across a big gap to the nearest building, Lydie carrying Rose and Cole helping Demir.
Jay was about to go, but stopped as he remembered that Nya can't do Airjitzu yet. He then held out his to help her as Nya looked at it for a moment as she remembered her stubbornness that caused them to get caught in the first place for not accepting the help. Shaking off her pride, she accepted Jay's hand as the blue Ninja did Airjitzu across the gap.
Jay and Nya smiled at each other as they made it to the others as they let go. "Thanks for the help." Nya said to Jay.
The others smiled, "No, thank you for being a teamplayer." Rose said as she was glad Nya was coming around.
"I got a visual!" A cop called out as they looked down and saw a cop climbing as he was next to them.
"No you don't!" Morro said as he stomped the officer in the face and he fell but was caught by some other officers.
Demir turned to Morro, "Jeez, Morro!" He said with a frown.
"What?" Morro asked in defense. "We're framed and on the run, we need to defend ourselves and that means getting rough sometimes."
"There's no time, come on!" Jay called out as they continued their run from the rooftops before landing back down to the ground as they ran off.
But they saw more people coming from them as they turned and saw more coming from behind them.
"There coming from both sides!" Lydie cried out.
"There's nowhere to hide!" Cole groaned.
"Is there any place where they can not follow us?!" Rose frantically asked.
Kai then has an idea as he looked at the boards. "There may be, follow my lead!" He said as he stood in front of the others. "NINJA-GO!" He did Spinjitzu as he burned through the floorboards as the others followed before the crowd stopped by the whole.
"They're under the floorboards!" The man called out.
Underneath the floorboards, the Ninja are jumping on support beams as some arms with flashlights peek through the holes as the Ninja avoids them as they keep moving.
Lydie then brought out her wrist com. "Mom, we're in a bit of a jam!" She called out.
At the Bounty, Misako is steering it to the Ninja's location. "I saw the news and I'm en route. Looks like you've gone from fame to framed." She said.
"Never thought I'd say this, but I already miss our fame." Morro groaned.
"And we'll never find out who did this to us unless we get out of here." Lloyd added
"Harumi and her family are working to try and prove your innocent." Misako explained.
"Just stay out of sight and stay safe, I'm on my way." Misako told them as the Ninja kept going.
Above the surface, the people are still searching for the Ninja. "I can hear them over here!" One of the men shouted.
"Someone get on those cranes!" Another man ordered. "Let's find those Ninja!" He shouted.
The Ninja kept going as a crane claw smashed through the floor boards as the Ninja dodge them. "I think I saw one right below us." A man said.
The Ninja kept going as another crane fell on them. "Crane three down. Now." A second man said. "Ten feet east. Now!" He ordered.
The third crane smashed through as the Ninja gave startled yelps before the crane pulled up as the crowd searched the whole.
"Did we get 'em?" A man asked.
"Can you see them?" Another man asked the officer as he shook his head.
Unknowingly to them, the Ninja manage to climb onto the crane as they are out of sight as Cole smiled as he saw something in the distance. "Look!" He exclaimed.
The others saw the Bounty flying towards them as they all sigh in relief. "Mom!" Lydie said in joy.
"Ha! Home, sweet home!" Kai cheered.
As the Bounty drew closer, a squad of police cars followed behind, "Um, I wouldn't be so sure about that, Darlings." Rose said as she pointed ahead.
The police are right underneath the Bounty as two cops from each car came out with grappling hooks. "Take her down!" He ordered as they shoot their grappling hooks at the Bounty.
Misako tried to pull away but the grappling hooks combined power made it impossible. "Oh no. Ugh!" She groaned as the Bounty was being dragged down.
"Mother!" Lydie and Lloyd cried out quietly before the crane moved.
"Lower all the cranes and check them out." The Commissioner ordered. "Those fruit colored bozos could be hiding anywhere." He added as the Ninja looked down.
"Okay, now what do we do?" Demir questioned.
"We need to split up." Lloyd said determinedly.
"Split up?" Cole asked in shock. "But we're all in this together." He pointed out.
"No, Lloyd's right." Lydie said in agreement. "We have a better chance of getting out of here if we divide." She pointed out.
"Nothing good comes when we're split up. That's when bad things happen." Jay pointed out. "Chen's Island, Yang's Temple, Morro's possession." He listed out.
"Hey! Present company here," Morro reminded them with a look at Jay.
"Oh, sorry, Morro." Jay apologized quickly. "But I'm just saying, all bad things happen when we split up!" He pointed out.
"We have no other choice, Jay!" Lydie called out. "We have to go. We have a better chance of getting out without being caught if we split up! They can't take us all." She stated. "We'll randevou somewhere safe, so everyone, break!"
"Now!" The Ninja all shouted as they split up as they took different directions as they got out of sight.
The crane lowered as they inspected it. "This one's empty, sir." A man said.
"I hate them fruit-colored ninja!" The man groaned in frustration.
A police officer then came to the commissioner. "We didn't catch the Ninja, commissioner." He informed him.
"We will." The commissioner assured as he gave a chuckle. "Oh, we will. At least we caught one of their allies and their ship. I'm confident we can get something out of her."
At Domu Library, Wu opened a book that shows the Teapot and a crude drawing of a Djinn. "'Be careful what you wish for.' Hmm." Wu read as he looked at the book while stroking his beard.
Just then, Wu sensed something as he looked around and then, appearing behind him was Nadakhan, "Did somebody say…Wish?" He asked with a smirk as Wu realized that this would not end well.
