Salutations.
It's still hot and filled with weird weather, but I hope everyone is enjoying the Fall season.
I also want to wish a Happy Birthday to Ruby Rose.
Now, let's continue on to the next chapter.
I do not own RWBY.
I'm sorry, Miss Schnee, but is this a good time? the older man said calmly as he enters the room.
What are you doing here? Weiss said, who was still trying to process what has been going on the last few minutes.
Wait, you know Ozpin? Ruby said who was surprised, but for a different reason.
Hello, Miss Ruby. I see you have met Miss Schnee, Ozpin said.
So does this mean that you… Weiss said.
That is correct, I am also a fairy, Ozpin said. I am responsible for assisting those living in this area and also to make sure the rules are upheld.
There are other fairies? Wait, what rules? Weiss said.
Allow me to explain, the man said. There is an ironclad rule that humans or faunus must not find out about our existence.
And what happens if someone finds out? Weiss said who felt the ominous atmosphere coming from the man.
The existence of fairies will be wiped from the person's memories and the fairy in question will be relocated to a new location from the involved person, Ozpin said in a serious tone.
Both girls flinch at the heaviness of the answer.
Oh man, and I just gotten used to this place, Ruby said, who looked dejected.
And I definitely do not want my memories altered, Weiss said who looked just as upset. Is there no other way around this?
Seeing that this is the first time happening to Miss Ruby as well as other circumstances, I would like to make a proposal for the two of you that would benefit each other, Ozpin said with an enigmatic smile.
And what would that be? Weiss said, crossing her arms.
Resting his cane next to the table, the older man brought out his hands where a beige-colored piece of paper mysteriously appear in front of them.
It is to form a contract with Miss Ruby, Ozpin said.
A contract? Weiss said, raising an eyebrow.
By forming a contract with Ruby, you are given special exemption from the rule in return for helping Miss Ruby with her trial, Ozpin said.
…Let me take a look, Weiss said, holding her hand out.
Of course, Ozpin said as he gives the paper to Weiss.
What are you doing, Weiss? Ruby said, who was curious.
I want to make sure that there are no hidden clauses in the contract, Weiss said, as if it was obvious.
Oh, Ruby said, not really understanding what the human was saying.
The white haired woman scanned the contents for less a minute before sighing.
I do not see any issues with the terms from this contact, Weiss said, noting how simple it was. So I just need to sign this?
Yes, Ozpin said, who nodded.
Using a pen that was sitting on her desk, Weiss wrote her full name in formal cursive.
Now, Miss Ruby, put your signature next to Miss Schnee's, Ozpin said after Weiss was done with the contract.
Ok, Ruby said, bringing her wand from her bag.
When the fairy points the end of the wand at the paper, the wand glows a bright red light and an emblem in the form of a red rose appear next to Weiss's signature.
What is that? Weiss said with a stunned look.
It's magic, silly, Ruby said as if it was common knowledge.
Fairy magic to be precise, Ozpin said as the contract roll up and flew into his hand. With this, the contract has been completed, Now, I must attend to other matters, so I will leave you two to get to know each other. Miss Schnee. Feel free to visit my office if you have any questions or issues that cannot be resolved between the two of you.
I will and thank you for your consideration, Weiss said, who bowed slightly as Ozpin takes his cane and walks to the door.
Miss Ruby, I leave it to you to look after Miss Schnee, Ozpin said, looking back.
I will do my best! Ruby said with enthusiasm.
After Ozpin leaves the room….
Wow, I had no idea that you knew Ozpin, Ruby said.
He is the Headmaster of Beacon University, where I happened to a student, Weiss said, who was now towering over the fairy. Now, I have some questions if you don't mind answering.
O-Ok, Ruby said who was shrinking from the pressure coming from the human.
[Meanwhile]
Professor Goodwitch?! Blake said, who was surprised to see a familiar face.
Oh! Hey, Miss G, Yang said with a wry smile.
That's Miss Goodwitch to you, Miss Yang, the strict woman said as she walks in.
You two know each other? Blake said.
Yeah. I met her when I first came to this world, Yang said.
I would have preferred to meet in more favorable conditions, Glynda said. But the fact that you were discovered by Miss Belladonna is a big problem.
Excuse me, but how serious is it for someone to find out about fairies? Blake said with a concerned look.
With our current laws, it is considered forbidden, such that the punishment for the person in question is to have their memories of meeting the fairy erased and for the fairy to be separated from the person, Glynda said, pushing her glasses to her face.
Oh brothers, Blake said, her cat ears dropped to the side.
Hold on. It's not Blake's fault. I was the one who was not careful, Yang said. Besides, there was a lot of grim in her place, so I couldn't just ignore that.
That may be, but it doesn't absolve the matter at hand, Glynda said. However, there may be a way to resolve this issue.
And what is that? Blake said, one of her cat ears twitching.
The solution is to form a contract with Miss Yang, Glynda said.
A contract? Blake said, both cat ears perk up.
In exchange for keeping Miss Yang's existence a secret and providing a place for her while she is doing her trial, she would assist you with various tasks, Glynda said.
Within reason, Yang added.
That sounds… like a lot, Blake, said. And how exactly does this contract work?
A piece of paper magically appears in Glynda's hand and presented to the cat faunus.
Both of you sign at the bottom of this paper. Once that's done, you have completed forming a contract, Glynda said.
Taking the paper hesitantly, Blake did a quick scan of the conditions for the contract. Meanwhile, Yang was looking with anticipation. See that there was nothing too difficult about them, she uses a pen from her pencil case and wrote her name in distinctive cursive.
Is this good? Blake said as she hands back the paper.
It is. Thank you, Miss Belladonna, Glynda said as she brings the paper in front of the blonde fairy. Now, if Miss Yang would present her signature.
Ok, Yang said as she brings her wand from her bag and pointed at the place at the contract. Within a few seconds, a yellow emblem that looks like a burning heart suddenly appear where her signature was supposed be, to Blake's amazement. That should be good enough, right?
That would suffice, Glynda said as she rolls up the contract. And rest assured, we will do our best to provide support for you two. Feel free to visit my office if you have further questions. Now, I will take my leave, so please excuse me.
After the older woman silently left the room, both Blake and Yang let out a sigh of relieve.
Thanks, Blake, Yang said, bringing both her hands behind her head. I will do my best to not cause you any trouble.
I'm sure, but what was that thing Professor Glynda was talking about? A trial? Blake said.
Well, it would take some time to explain everything. Is this a good time for you? Yang said sheepishly.
Blake looks at her clock, which showed 8:00 am.
I should have some time before classes start although maybe after getting ready, Blake said. Due to Miss Glynda's unexpected arrival, neither of them have not freshen up or eaten breakfast.
Gotcha, Yang said as she starts floating in the air using her wings. In that case, my first task as your partner is to help you with your morning.
Blake smiled as the two head out the bedroom.
[To be Continued]
Now that the partnerships has been formed, what happens next for the four girls?
Stay tuned for the next chapter.
