The Avengers' Third Album was one of their least popular. It represented a turning point, however, as that was when their band grew to include Peter Parker, formerly only known for his odd, spidery-sounding music on New York street corners. All but one song were written by Tony.
Tracklist:
Riff Riot: One of their most upbeat songs, "Riff Riot" is one of their least popular songs.
Ghost in the Machine: This was the favorite song of the album. It was very creepy sounding.
Whiskey and Wires: Their first time trying something more blues-sounding, and the worst time.
Government Games: One of their strangest-sounding songs.
Black Widow's Kiss: This one was written and performed by Natasha and is one of their most romantic songs. It would later become known as one of the top romance songs of the decade.
Expo Expectations: This was the first appearance of Peter in the album.
Turbulent Times: The title track and arguably their least popular song to date.
Rivalry: This song was sung by Steve and Tony, and many believe it had some romantic undertones, but this was immediately knocked down by Tony in an interview, stating: "This song was inspired by my rivalry with another singer, whom I will not name here." Still, many fans think it's romantic.
Legacy: A very instrumental track with almost no percussion, focusing on Peter and his bassoon playing.
Malfunction: One of their most startling songs. It seems to be a theme for them to have a song starting with a cymbal crash after an instrumental one.
Face the Music: Natasha took lead vocals here, and this song became one of their more popular songs
Altogther: This album, while not as well received as some of the others, really was a turning point in their career.
