Chapter 8: Blitzo and Allies escape
Back in the grand hall of the castle Moxxie stood in front of the great broken clock as suggested by Husk as the clock chimed out of tune monotonously, Vaggie and Charlie told him and Millie along about the litch that is by the fireplace not moving as well as Husks riddle as the short man crossed his arms huffing "Great what was needed more riddles, 'when the wine drinks itself and when the skull speaks when the clock strikes the right time' as if there was not enough troubles for me and my dear wife, I wonder what time it is" he wondered as he heared the voice of Stolas as he hid quickly and watched him walking with Blitzo "Well of course you're of noble birth, anybody can see that" said Stolas holding Blitzos hand "I mean you cant really be the brother of that warlock unless you lost your family and was taken in" he said as Moxxie watched them walk pass from his hiding spot without seeing him as he stepped out to continue his investigation.
At the balcony Blitzo stood alone looking at the ocean as he did he felt a presence from behind as he looked and saw it was Pidemon "Your majesty?" He asked as Pidemon laughed and walked to him "Love is slowing you down my lord, I will catch you at last if you love much more" said Pidemon seizing his chance to have a word with him because he wants to know who he really is "Look down your son is coming home" said Blitzo in hopes to change the subject as he and Pidemon looked at the road and saw Stolas returning from a quest "Stolas? He is none of mine, I picked him from a doorstep where a former noble left him, I was thinking that I never been happy and I had never had a son since my wife perished from the wastes ages passed it was pleasant at first but it died quickly, there is only but one thing that has ever made me happy" said Pidemon "What is that?" Asked Blitzo concerned as the look in the rulers eyes seemed erratic and distant.
"Do not mock me, I know very well what you have come for, and you know very well that I have them, try to take them if you can but do not mock me!" He grabbed his shoulders scaring Blitzo as he pulled away from him "My Lord in all your castle, in all your relm, there is nothing of yours that I desire, good day your majesty" he said walking off as he tried to hide on who he really is as Pidemon glared "I know you!" He shouted stopping him "I almost knew you as soon as I saw you coming on the road with your cooks, your clown and his wreck, since then there is no movement of yours that has not betrayed you! A pace, a glance, a turn of the head, the flash of your throat as you breath, even your way of standing still, they were all my spies!" He yelled as he looked calmly at the sea "You made me wonder for a while, but your time is done, the tide is turning come and see, come here" he said as Blitzo did what he said to look at the ocean.
There *Points to there red ocean as a form seems to shape in the sea foam the figure of a imp or hundreds crying in fear and to leave but they cant* there they are, there they are! They are mine! They belong to me! The windigo gathered them for me one by one and I bade him to drive each one into the sea! Now they live there and every tide carries them within an easy step of the land but they dare not come out of the water! They are afraid of the windigo, I like to watch them, they fill me with joy. The first time I felt it I thought I was going to die!" He explained what horror and selfishness he did to the imps
Flashback
It shows a imp couple and there children happy to be in the forest, but little did they and all others know is that there time of living in the forest is about to end
"I said to Alastor 'I must have them I must have all of the, all there are for nothing makes me happy but there happyness and joy and playfulness as they romp and play by there shinning grace' so Alastor caught them"
It is now shown as crowds of imps of all ages and sizes were all backing away in fear, moms caring there babes close as well as there children fearful of the windigo as they backed toward the water as the waves are growing strong as Alastor watched with a sinister grin as he watched the waves plunged them in the sea, there magic protecting there children as they are all still alive but are afraid to escape for if one does Alastor will catch them and bring them back under Pidemons orders.
"Each time I see the imps, my imps its like that morning in the woods and I am truely young in spite of myself!"
Flashback ends
"You are the last" said Pidemon "My Lord I-i do not understand, I see nothing at all in the water" Blitzo lied pretending to not see the imps sad to be trapped "Do you still deny yourself? Do you dare still pretend to be human?" Pidemon asked growing angery "I'll hurl you down to the others with my own hands if you dare deny yourself!" He barked as Blitzo backed away "What are you saying!?" He asked as Pidemon stared into Blitzos eyes as they seem a more faded to a gold brown as he saw…nothing in them as he calmed down "It must be so, I cannot be mistaken, yet…your eyes, your eyes have become empty as Stolas…as any eyes that…never saw a imp" he looked deep into his eyes, he didnt see himself in his eyes when he first met him, but this time, he sees only himself in his eyes and noticed the mark on his forehead is now gone. "It makes no difference I can wait, the end will be the same, I can wait" he then walked away leaving Blitzo alone as he kneeled sobbing "he is mad…he is horribly mad" he said putting his head into his arms as Moxxie, having heard everything walked over to comfort him.
"Shhh dont, dont, dont it will be alright, we'll find them, we will save them, come on, come to me, please dont cry, if you become human enough then no magic in the world can change you back, just come with me *gently wipes away Blitzos tears, I promise you we will find them" he assures. Back in the grand hall again, Moxxie, Millie, Vaggie, Charlie and Blitzo all walked toward the fireplace and stood before the Litch the horned king who was chuckling like a mad man "Shut up you rude bag of bones! How would you like a punch in the eye for such laughter!" Said Mille threatening him "Well you and Moxxie made it laugh, maybe that is all you need for the riddle" said Charlie "It isnt foo!" Said the horned king laughing some more "Oh you can speak, at least that Works Moxxie and Mille" said Vaggie "Come one and all and ask me how to find the Windigo, even Prince Stolas dosent know the secret way but I do" the horned king laughed again.
"So you do? Answer the riddle then, tell us the way" said Moxxie "Say please" said the horned king as Moxxie exasparated sighed "Please" he said as the horned king turned away saying no over and over "Why not? What kind of game is this?" Asked Mille annoyed as the horned king snickered "Oh its so nice to have someone to play and tease with! Try me tommorow, maybe I'll tell you all tommorow" he snickered "But we have no time! We may be too late now!" Vaggie yelled "I have time, I got time enough for us all" he joked and laughed at there sad faces. "Never mind such a loute give me the wine, let me see what I can do with wine" said Moxxie as that made the horned king curious at him mentioning wine "Wine? Did you say wine? Speak up now" he said "I couldn't find any, I looked everywhere I looked *Takes out a flask of water from her pouch* I thought maybe if you had some water to start with…" said Charlie as the Litch lord laughed again "Him? Turn water into wine?" He laughed "Keep quiet you loute, let me have it at least, I'll give it a try *Charlie opens it* now you understand its not going to be very good wine, vin ordinaire if you are lucky and I'll be too sweet and…*rubs his hands* here we goes" he then turned his back away from the horned king and began to mutter some words in a low voice
"What are you doing? Hay do it over here I cant see a thing!" The horned king yelled as Moxxie held up the flask his back still to the horned king "Its weak at best, a decayed nose, a rotten body, hardly any bouquet at all, well thats done it it is finally done!" He turned the flask upside down that its empty as he made a move to toss it. "No wiat! Dont! Dont do that give it to me! If you dont want it! But wont throw it away!" He begs straining to it but was Locked into the wall "But you are a litch! You cant smell wine and yet cant taste it!" Said Millie "But I remember…" moaned the Horned king remembering the taste "Well…if you should happen to remember the entrance to the windigos lair as well as you remember wine…" Moxxie suggested "Done! Now give me one drink and I'll tell you anything you want to know" said The horned king
"You can have all of it-after you tell us the way" Moxxie ordered firmly "The way is through the clock" the horned king points at the clock "Through that?" Asked Moxxie confused "You mean when the clock strikes the right time it opens and there's a secret stair?" Asked Vaggie "that clock will never strike at the right time, you just walk through it and the Windigo is on the other side, now give me the wine!" The horned king said "Walk through a clock? What am I a warlock?" Moxxie asked
"To meet the windigo, you have to walkthrough time, a clock isnt time, its just numbers and springs, pay no mind to it and just walk on through, now about that wine now…" started the Horned king as Moxxie gave him the flask as he drank it down lastly as a blush formed on his cheeks when he is finished "Ah that is the true good stuff, that was wine! You're more of a warlock then I thought" impressed as Moxxie gestured to hurry "come on lets hurry" he said as Vaggie took Blitzos hand "My Lord its time, we are gonna find the others now" she said to him as The horned king noticed Blitzo and got angery when he smashed the flask "Oh no! No you dont not that one" he said surely seeing Blitzo as a imp as they all ran quickly "IMP! IMP! PIDEMON! PIDEMON! IMP! IMP!" He yelled "Run quickly!" Said Millie running to the clock.
"Pidemon! There they go! Down to the Windigo Alastor! The clock Pidemon! There they go! Imp! Imp!" The horned king yelled as Pidemon ran down to the hall hearing Horned kings yells as he got out his sword as he charged to stop them from escaping as they reached the clock "Come go through first Blitzo hurry!" Said Moxxie as Blitzo enters the clock first and vanished "Mox I dont think" started Vaggie "Go hurry! Millie protect Charlie and Vaggie" said Moxxie as she, Vaggie and Charlie ran in and disappeared as Pidemon charges to him as he tried to skewer the shorter male as Moxxie dodges and ran to avoid his attack.
Back with Bltzo and the others they all stood in a hazy misty strange looking place "It worked" said Charlie happy they got in safe and sound "Prince Stolas!" Blitzo called when they saw Stolas coming out of the mists confused and curious as he had followed them "You would have gone without me?" He asked confused "I would have come back, I dont know why I'm here or who I am, but I would have come back" he said while losing his identity as a imp his heart calls for the prince. "You you would have never come back" said Stolas "never mind that where is Moxxie?" Said Millie worried for her husband as with Moxxie he kept dodging Pidemons attacks as he got a nick on his head but he dodged and went into the clock "Where is he? I'll go back myself if you wont" said Mille about to walk back but she and the others saw Moxxie coming out of the mists holding his head but non the worst for where "Moxxie!" Yelled Millie happy he got out "its ok, its not deep *Sees Stolas* how did you know how to get in?" He asked confused "What was there to know? I saw where he had gone and I followed" said Stolas.
Back with Pidemon in his fury began to strike the clock breaking it as it fell to the grown due to the large amount of damage to it as due to that the mist dissipate into a dark cavern "Pidemon has destroyed the clock, now there is no way back and no way out but through Alastors passage" said Moxxie as Stolas held Blitzo in his arms as they looked at each other in worry as the stench of blood waives in the cavern. With no other choice the group must go through the monsters passage.
Authors note: well they managed to get away from the castle but now must travel through Alastors cavern to escape which wont be easy
Next chapter the group confronts Alastor but even returned as a imp Blitzo must gather his courage to protect Stolas and the others and free the other imps
