High in the sky, Luna continued soaring high above the ocean and through the thin clouds.
I need to hurry. I need to fly as fast as I can. Luna thought with a concerned face. I need to head back to U.A. Coffin and help the heroes take down Tomura. I just hope they're doing alright.
At Cantonica Island, Scylla kept shooting ink blasts from her tentacles at Tarot Chariot, Charon, Selene, Diana, and the Roulette Twins. But Diana protected herself and her allies with her yellow force field in her yellow aura. Once Diana dropped the back portion of her force field, the Roulette Twins and Tarot Chariot ran out as they swiftly came behind Scylla by surprise.
Tarot Chariot delivered a swift roundhouse kick at Scylla's face, sending her to spiral away into the ground. The Roulette Twins then ran up towards Scylla, who quickly pushed herself back up on her tentacles. Bella and Callista charged forward and unleashed their Quirks at Scylla. But the octopus villainess managed to dodge out of the way with swift speed.
"Cute tricks, but here's my best one." Scylla growled as she took on a fighting stance. She spun around rapidly and formed a huge ink whirlpool coming out of her tentacles. "Try and dodge this, heroes!"
Scylla sent out her massive ink whirlpool straight at the heroes. But Tarot Chariot created a large pink energy card in between her fingers and fired it forward that completely eradicated the inky whirlpool in a pink-colored explosion. Diana dropped her force field and charged forward in red aura as she fired a large red energy blast from both hands. Charon thrusted both hands and released a powerful tornado of wind. And Selene performed ninjutsu hand gestures and created a large star-shaped orb of stellar energy before firing it into a ringed planet-shaped blasts of stellar energy once it bursted.
The combination of Aura, Aero, and Stellar instantly created a large multi-power sphere that flew straight toward the wide-eyed Scylla. Scylla screamed in pain and then collapsed unconsciously to the ground.
"Ha! We did it!" Diana cheered.
"Alright!" The Roulette Twins smiled as they high-fived each other.
"Now, let's help the others." Tarot Chariot said.
At full speed, Luna skyrocketed throughout the sky. Her eyes finally caught something floating in the air. She widened her eyes in relief at the sight of U.A. Coffin appeared in her direction.
Thank goodness. I've finally made it. Luna thought. Her eyes narrowed with determination. Let's hope I'm not too late.
Luna took off towards the U.A. Coffin and hovered over it in the air. With the electromagnetic barrier enveloping around the U.A. High's grounds, she can't risk herself trying to pierce through it without getting paralyzed momentarily. She looked down and witnessed the continuous battle between Tomura and the heroes. Amajiki, Nejire, Best Jeanist, Mirko, Katsuki, and Edgeshot began evading and retaliating against Tomura's monstrous swarm of grotesque, writhing fingers that was already rampaged and demolished everything throughout the arena.
Is that…Shigaraki's power?! Luna exclaimed with a petrified expression. But how is that possible?
Luna's eyes then moved to Monoma, who kept his sights on Tomura while copying Eraser Head's Erasure on the malevolent villain at the same time. On the left side of Monoma, Manual positioned himself to manipulate Eraser Head's eye drops and moisturize Monoma's eyes continuously that will prevent him suffering from dry eyes and bypassing Copy's time limit at the same time.
Mr. Aizawa and Monoma are using Erasure to block Shigaraki's Quirks. So, how's Shigaraki able to utilize this much power? Luna wondered as she looked back down at Tomura. And with the electromagnetic waves messing up with my earcom, I can't contact anyone. At this rate, I can't help the others.
Edgeshot flattened and twisted himself into a pointed red string. He then coiled around Tomura's grotesque fingers and shattered them in multiple pieces. But more grotesque fingers began to grow in its place and launched themselves towards Edgeshot, who swiftly escaped out of reach.
They grow back? Luna gasped in shock. But that's not possible. I know Shigaraki has All For One's power, but did he evolve somehow after he went into hiding?
Luna's eyes lit up in realization.
Wait a minute. Back in Jaku City, Shigaraki went through body modifications and received extra stolen Quirks that were installed in him by All For One's own Quirk. Luna thought deeply. And with the immense power of All For One's Quirk settling into his body, Shigaraki's unbeatable compared to All For One himself.
Katsuki dodged around Tomura's massive grotesque fingers while bombing and eradicating them with his explosions. Once he landed on the ground, he loaded up his support item extending from the back of his hero costume. Katsuki's support item was a number of retractable machine guns mounting over his shoulders.
Bakugo's activating his Strafe Panzer. Luna thought to herself. No doubt he had already stored up plenty of sweat from running around this entire time.
As Katsuki thrusted in the air with his explosions, his Strafe Panzer began unleashing a wide range of stored-up explosions all over the arena that decimated most of Tomura's massive grotesque fingers and blasted open a clear path towards the malicious villain.
Bakugo… Luna gasped as she looked at Katsuki's strong-willed drive. Her eyes sparkled in awe. You're amazing.
While propelling himself forward in a circular motion, Katsuki rammed straight toward Tomura and thrusted his right hand out. He then unleashed a powerful, thunderous explosion that reverberated everything throughout the U.A. Coffin and avoided the other heroes around him from getting harmed at the same time.
But when the smoke cleared throughout the arena, an unfazed Tomura endured most of the damage from Katsuki's Howitzer Impact: Cluster technique with a yellowish circular shield made of compressed air from his right hand in front of him. He then grabbed hold of Katsuki's right arm and crushed it.
Oh no! Bakugo! Luna shouted with wide eyes.
Best Jeanist, Mirko, and Edgeshot hurriedly sprinted forward to rescue Katsuki.
Tomura simply tossed Katsuki aside and turned his attention to Best Jeanist, Mirko, and Edgeshot. He generated several grotesque fingers from one arm and swiftly swatted them away with his "All Might-esque" power.
That was Bakugo's strongest attack and Shigiraki deflected it like it was nothing! Luna gasped in shock. Has Shigiraki's superhuman modification become close to my dad's when he had One For All?
Luna watched as Katsuki slowly managed to bounce back on his knees with a broken arm.
I got to get in there and help him! Luna thought. She looked back at Monoma, Eraser Head, and Manual. But I can't distract them. They have to keep their eyes on blocking Shigaraki's Quirks.
Luna's eyes lit up in realization.
Wait a minute! That's right! Luna thought. She pulled out a bright pink octahedral device in her hand. I almost forgot about this. Thanks, Celena!
Luna flew behind U.A. High and floated halfway close to the electromagnetic barrier. She twisted the device in 180° position and tossed forward. The device halted almost close to the electromagnetic barrier and floated right in front of Luna in a bright pink glow. The device opened up a bright pink heart-shaped portal and Luna quickly flew straight through it before the portal closed.
Tomura turned his head back towards an exhausted Katsuki.
"Katsuki Bakugo. If there's two things I'm interested in when it comes to you…it's them. You're the person who's closest to Izuku Midoriya and Luna Yagi." Tomura said with a smile as he began approaching Katsuki. "That's perfect. Because it means they'll definitely be here. Izuku Midoriya and One For All. Luna Yagi and Divine Trinity."
Then, Tomura slammed his barefoot on Katsuki's head straight to the ground.
"Sounds like Izuku Midoriya and Luna Yagi were supposed to be warped here. Excellent." Tomura said. "No doubt they'll be making their grand entrances sometime soon. Now that I think about it, it's kind of a good thing my Quirks aren't working."
"Shut your…!" Katsuki barked as he tried to fight back.
But Tomura simply grabbed Katsuki's hair and lifted him up in the air with his foot. He then kicked his leg down and destroyed Katsuki's second gauntlet before grabbing him by the throat.
"They'll arrive to find your corpse instead of a pile of dust." Tomura said with a wicked smile. "Those two got so angry when I skewered you last time, which means you'll be the perfect present to toss at their feet. You're a zealot obsessed with All Might, if I recall. Well, here's a reality check, Katsuki Bakugo." His grotesque fingers began to grow endlessly on his gruesome arm. "No matter how high you attempt to fly, you'll always be garbage compared to One For All and Divine Trinity."
Then suddenly, a bright pink heart-shaped portal appeared out of nowhere above the arena. Tomura and Katsuki immediately turned their attention to the glowing portal with surprised expressions.
"Get away from him, Shigaraki!" Luna yelled as she quickly propelled forward from the glowing portal.
Tomura and Katsuki widened their eyes wide. Katsuki formed a small smile on his face while Tomura brought out a wicked grin.
Luna charged forward as her hand began enveloping in bright pink energy. With a yell, she unleashed a large blast of pink energy straight at Tomura, hurling him away from Katsuki and into the wall of UA High. Luna landed on her feet and her wings vanished from her back. She quickly turned around and dashed over towards Katsuki.
"Bakugo, are you alright?" Luna asked as she knelt next to her boyfriend.
"Yeah…I'm fine." Katsuki replied with a weak smile. "I'm just…glad you're here."
"You and me both." Luna said as she hugged Katsuki.
Tomura recovered and stood back on his feet. When his eyes caught Luna hugging Katsuki, he narrowed with a mix of annoyance and jealousy. But he immediately shook it off and focused on his mission.
"Well, well, well. Look who finally decided to show up." Tomura spoke tauntingly as he slowly approached Katsuki and Luna. "Luna Yagi and Divine Trinity right here for the taking."
"You're making it sound like it's gonna be easy for you!" Luna yelled. "Well, let me burst that bubble of yours. It's not! If you want my Quirk, you're going to have to fight me to get it!"
"I intend to." Tomura said. His eyes then glanced at Katsuki's direction. "But first...you're in my way."
"Not a chance, Shigaraki!" Luna shouted. "Your fight is with me, not Bakugo!"
"Oh, don't worry. We'll gonna fight. But Bakugo and I have some unfinished business." Tomura said with a wide smile.
With unbelievable speed, Tomura charged forward and swung his monstrous arm that smacked Luna and sent her flying away from Katsuki. But Luna quickly regained her posture and landed down on her feet to the ground. She quickly dashed forward at Tomura's direction as her hands glowed blazingly.
"I WON'T LET YOU HURT HIM, TOMURA SHIGARAKI!" Luna screamed as she was ready to launch her attack.
Suddenly, Nejire jumped right into action and soared high above Tomura.
"Nejire Pike!" Nejire shouted as she aimed her right hand.
Nejire unleashed the full force of golden spiraling energy into a piercing shot straight toward Tomura. But Tomura simply spun around and held Katsuki right in front of him as a shield, which forced Nejire to divert the direction of her attack. With an evil smile, Tomura launched his gigantic arm of misshapen fingers straight up towards Nejire. But Luna launched a pink energy blast that knocked Tomura's gruesome arm away from Nejire's direction.
Then, Amajiki approached Tomura undetected from behind under the cloaking ability of an octopus and manifested two scorpion tails on his back as he launched them to jab into Tomura's monstrous arm.
"Vast Hybrid: Octopus Mirage." Amajiki said. "With added Scorpius Toxin."
Amajiki injected dangerous venom into Tomura's monstrous arm and retreated his scorpion tails.
Unfortunately, Tomura produced a mouth on his monstrous arm that simply spew out the toxin.
Luna, Amajiki, and Nejire gasped in shock.
"Was that your secret weapon?" Tomura laughed mockingly. He then unleashed more mouths growing from his massive grotesque finger waves. "My body continues to adapt!"
Tomura's grotesque finger waves started chasing after Nejire, Amajiki, and Luna.
"If you keep up these weak attacks, you'll be dead in no time!" Tomura shouted. "Don't you have anything stronger?"
In the middle of the chaos, Mirio rose through Shigaraki's grotesque finger waves and snatched Katsuki out of Tomura's grasp.
"Heads up, Jeanist!" Mirio hollered.
Mirio swiftly tossed Katsuki high up in the air. Best Jeanist wrapped Katsuki with his carbon fiber thread and pulled him away to safety.
Luna quickly took notice. She quickly hurried straight towards Best Jeanist just as Katsuki tried pushing himself up off the ground.
"Dynamight. Let me see your right arm." Best Jeanist said. "I'll stitch you up. Quickly, we're still in dire need of your firepower."
"Don't worry, Bakugo. I'm here." Luna said as she knelt in front of Katsuki.
"And thank goodness." Best Jeanist said. "We need all the help we can get. At least, until Midoriya gets here."
"Agreed." Luna said with a nod. "Right now, let's help Bakugo."
Luna and Best Jeanist then gasped.
A single tear fell out of Katsuki's left eye on his nearly defeated look on his face.
"Oh, Bakugo…" Luna muttered as she placed her comforting hand on Katsuki's left cheek.
"Let me give you first aid." Best Jeanist said concernedly. "We can handle the rest ourselves. Shigaraki is operating on a level we couldn't fathom. You're here because you fought him before despite only being a student. But that prior experience isn't going to be of any more help to us. Take time to recover. You did an excellent job, Dynamight. More than enough. Rest now."
Suddenly, Tomura's grotesque finger waves began moving and attacking the heroes chaotically around the battlefield.
"Jeanist, help Bakugo with his arm. I'm going back to join the fight." Luna said to Best Jeanist. "I'll hold him off until Midoriya gets here."
Luna activated Dazzling Trinity and sprinted forward.
But little did she know is that Kastuki was staring at Tomura's grotesque finger waves with flaming sparks of determination and rage in his eyes.
Luna sprinted forward towards Tomura's grotesque finger waves. She sprang high in the air and delivered a swift series of Dazzling Trinity-enhanced punches and kicks at every incoming misshapen finger that was coming in her direction. She then materialized her Dazzling Wings and launched herself high in the air before looking down to see Tomura and Mirio facing each other at the center, making her dive straight towards them at full speed.
"I've got friends." Tomura mumbled. He released a hysterical yell that baffled Mirio. "Mikkun and Tomo said I was really nice, and Mon always barks to go on walks with me! So there! You've got no idea what you're talking about! You don't know me! I've got plenty of friends!"
Luna halted halfway down and looked taken back by Tomura's sudden outburst. She immediately shook it off as she continued avoiding the monstrous finger waves.
What just happened right now? Luna wondered. I don't know what Lemillion just said to him, but it must've been sensitive for Shigaraki to respond like that. Even though Shigaraki's body is complete, it's almost like…his mind is splitting.
Luna's eyes lit up for a second.
That's right. Shigaraki and All For One are supposed to be fully assimilated. Two minds fuse in one body. Luna thought. But there's another personality that hasn't melded yet with them. If it's not Tomura nor All For One, then who could it be? She gasped sharply in realization. No way. It's…it's Tenko!
Tomura managed to compose himself and turned around. His swarm of grotesque fingers slowly opened up a clear path, which allowed him to walk straight at Katsuki and Best Jeanist.
Uh no! He's going after Bakugo again! Luna exclaimed. I can't let that happen!
Luna hurriedly soared through the air and descended in front of Best Jeanist, who surrounded Katsuki with his carbon fiber threads protectively.
"Come on. Do your worst, you walking atrocity!" Best Jeanist said threateningly.
"Don't push yourself." Tomura said. "I got a pretty solid hit in earlier. In fact, I'd bet you're barely able to stay conscious right now."
Nejire and Luna blasted their Quirks at Tomura with every strength they got. But Tomura nonchalantly blocked their attacks.
"Seems like, in actuality, you designed your own coffins." Tomura declared. "It's time to lie down and close the lid."
Tomura unleashed more grotesque fingers straight towards Nejire, who kept blasting her Wave Motion Quirk at them one by one. But she was secretly shooting her Wave Motions directly toward Amajiki, who began formulating his Ultimate Move. With Nejire's energy of her Wave Motions, Amajiki incorporated zebra tarantula, dragonfruit, spider crab, sika deer, American alligator, green sea turtle, locust, red sea urchin, soft shell turtle, watermelon, and moso bamboo that he had already eaten into one ultimate fusion.
While Nejire continued firing her Wave Motions at the fingers, Luna kept unleahsing a rapid barrage of pink energy blasts at the distracted Tomura.
"Vast Hybrid: Plasma Cannon!" Amajiki hollered.
Amajiki fired a massive plasma beam at Tomura, engulfing him whole and demolishing the finger waves from the villain's monstrous arm while heavily damaging everything in his path. But within the plasma beam, Tomura was still standing. He managed to counter the plasma beam with his grotesque finger onslaught. But Mirio rose from the ground and managed to strike a hard punch to the face with his Permeation Quirk.
For a few moments, the entire battlefield went silent once the smoke cleared out. Unfortunately, the immense power of Amajiki's Vast Hybrid: Plasma Cannon wasn't even strong enough to weaken nor take Tomura down.
Are you kidding me?! Luna exclaimed in shock as she can't believe what she just witnessed. That didn't work either?!
Tomura slowly stood his ground and unleashed several more swarms of grotesque fingers at the Big Three.
"Not strong enough." Tomura mocked. "Think about it. Would Golden Age All Might have died from a measly attack like that? Of course not! Why are you people so dense?"
Suddenly, Tomura stopped for a moment. He slowly turned his head and looked back at Katsuki, who was already standing firmly at his feet. Despite the huge amount of damage done to his body, Katsuki started walking towards Tomura.
"Use your first aid on the others." Katsuki said to Best Jeanist.
"Wait!" Best Jeanist pleaded.
"Bakugo, wait! What are you doing?" Luna shouted.
"Stay with Jeanist, Luna." Katsuki muttered as he walked up next to Luna. "I've gotta defeat him."
"Bakugo, you're in no condition to keep fighting!" Luna said. "I know you don't want to hear this, but I can't let you…!"
Katsuki grabbed Luna's face and pressed his lips hard against hers. Luna's eyes widened for that unexpected kiss.
Tomura growled in anger.
Katsuki then released Luna, who silently stared at him with a blushing face.
"I'm sorry, Luna." Katsuki said. "But…I have to do this. So then…you and Izuku can finish this bastard once and for all."
"No, please! Don't do this!" Best Jeanist yelled.
"No, Bakugo! Please, wait!" Luna cried.
Katsuki blasted forward toward Tomura and placed his hand right in front of the wide-eyed villain before unleashing his explosion. Tomura raised his arm and prepared to strike, but Katsuki managed to dodge effortlessly with quick speed. Luna, Best Jeanist, Mirio, Edgeshot, Nejire, Amajiki, and Mirko gasped in complete surprise as they all watched Katsuki dodging and swerving around each of Tomura's attacks with his Explosions.
Then, Katsuki floated behind Tomura's back and aimed his left hand at the villain.
Everything hurts. Fighting while in pain. Trying to spot an enemy's tell. You two are already old pros at this, aren't you? Katsuki thought to himself. Hey, Izuku, Luna. Can I still catch up to you two?
With a pissed off look on his face, Tomura turned around and looked utterly panicked at Katsuki's increasing speed and powerful explosion onslaughts. He growled angrily and pulled his monstrous arms back.
"I'll obliterate you!" Tomura hollered as he trusted his forward.
Elsewhere, Katsuki looked around and found himself in a white void. He turned his head around and came face to face with All Might's spectral visage.
"Oh, that's right." Katsuki said. He placed one hand at the back of his head. "I, um. Well, whenever I finally got to meet you, I was, uh...I was kind of a punk. Because of that, I never really saw the right time to bring this up, but..."
Katsuki reached into his pocket and pulled out his All Might trading card.
"Man. You have no idea how much I wanted your autograph." Katsuki said with a smile as he stared at his All Might trading card. "That, and Luna's lucky to have an amazing father like you as her number one hero."
At that moment, Tomura delivered a heavy punch right into Katsuki's chest, causing the hot-headed student's heart to burst and leaving him fatally wounded. Even though Luna and the rest of the heroes combined their efforts to help and recover Katsuki, Tomura successfully triumphed over his battle with Katsuki.
Then, Tomura released a sudden burst of power that launched everyone and sent them crashing on the ground far away from him.
At the same time, the drastic temperature of rain clouds started to form around the clear blue sky over the U.A. Coffin.
"You thought you could catch me off guard by replaying our fight from earlier. Even though you've seen how well I adapt? We came prepared for anything. The demon lord's body is a marvel. Don't you get it yet? Your part is over. From now on, this is our story." Tomura declared with a smile.
Luna slowly pushed herself back on her feet and turned her head towards Best Jeanist and Katsuki. She started running towards them, but she immediately halted with wide, trembling eyes.
"No…no…" Luna muttered.
Luna's eyes stared at an open, bloodied hole in the chest of Katsuki's lifeless body on the ground.
"BBBAAAKKKUUUGGGOOO!" Luna screamed in horror.
