Chapter 14: wet girls everywhere (show some skin!)
"About time, dude!" Gray cried as Natsu stepped into Aqua World Park, duffel bag in hand. "We were starting to think you weren't gonna come!"
"Sounds like a real problem," Gajeel said snidely. Levy gave him a little shove.
"It's all good, my friends," Natsu declared. "I'll go get changed, and then we can let 'er rip!"
"Rip off darling Gray's swim shorts? That's already the plan," Juvia said fondly, wrapping her arms around Gray's bare waist. She bared her teeth and made a sexy bite in the air.
Here were all of Natsu's good friends, ready to wash away the bitter memories of last night's game with some fun pool games under the blistering-hot sun! Oh, and there were plenty of other people in the water or laying on folding chairs, so whatever the MCC gang did, they'd haver to keep it clean. What a shame!
Anyway, Natsu got changed in the men's side of the locker/shower rooms, then stutted toward the pool, hands on his hips as he joined his many friends.
"Ha. Pretty tacky, Natsu," Jellal commented, pointing at Natsu's flame-pattern shorts. "You look like a little kid."
Natsu stuck out his tongue. "Get fucked, loser."
"That comes later tonight when we get back home," Erza said seductively, approaching Jellal from behind and wrapping her arms around his waist, Juvia-style.
"Don't I know it," Jellal said smugly.
"You better." Erza grinned widely and smacked Jellal's ass, just in time for a young boy to wander by.
"Ma, what's that girl doing?" he asked his mom.
"Don't stare, honey," the mom admonished him.
Erza went bright red and let go of Jellal. She cleared her throat behind her fist, then said, "So, an afternoon of good, clean fun! What memories we'll make!"
"My thoughts exactly," a certain Lucy Heartfilia said happily as she joined her friends, hands on her hips. She had her hair tied into two pigtails, a really cute look for her. She wore a rather revealing two-piece bathing suit with pink and white fabric, and Natsu couldn't help but stare.
"Damn, babe, you're lookin' good," Natsu said, his brain promptly switching to caveman mode. Beautiful girl. Much sex. Give compliment! Friend!
Lucy giggled and toyed with a pigtail. "Aw, thanks, Natsu. I like those shorts. You're all fired up!"
"Is he ever," came another girl's voice, and Lisanna Strauss joined them, hands clasped behind her back, wearing a navy blue two-piece that showed off her ample bust. She playfully cocked her head and smiled at Natsu. "You're so well-toned, Natsu. Have you been hitting the gym recently?"
"I never stopped," Natsu stated proudly, striking a few poses he'd seen on fitness magazine covers. "My body's a sculpture, and I've got a heck of a chisel."
"Mmmmm. A work of art," Lucy declared.
"Anyway," Lisanna said, spreading her arms wide. "Who's ready for some pool games? Elfy and I can't wait to get started!"
"YEAH!" The friends all cheered and thrust up their fists.
"Oh, and you can be on my team for the games," Lisanna told Natsu. She offered a hand. "Come on. I'll have Elfy on the team too, and then we can't lose!"
"Not so fast, sweetheart." Lucy lowered Lisanna's hand. "What if I want Natsu on my team?"
"What about it?" Lisanna shot back.
"Try and stop me," Lucy challenged her.
"Oh, my. The harem continues," Juvia joked, her arms still wrapped around Gray's chest. "Where's Cana? She should join the steamy fun, too!"
"She's great at any game we play," Alzack put in.
Natsu shook his head. "That's... not gonna happen."
"Yeah. Cana's over there," Jellal said, pointing halfway across the pool. There Cana was in her camo-pattern suimsuit, chatting up the locals. Cana saw the MCC crew, then waved hello. Natsu waved back.
"But... wait a minute," Juvia said. "Last I heard, Natsu had three girls chasing after him! Now it's down to two? When did that happen?"
Gray rolled his eyes. "Ugh. Juvia, it's awkward to say that out loud. Natsu's in a delicate position."
"Mmmmm. Yes. In my experience, love triangles are tense affairs where someone will definitely get hurt," Erza added.
Now it was Gajeel who rolled his eyes. "What experience could you possibly be talking about?"
"Visual novel games," Erza explained shamelessly. "There's this X-rated game where you play as a baker girl with two customers wanting a sample of her sweet pie, if you get my meaning -"
"Moving on! Innocent games among friends! That's what we're here for," Levy cried abruptly as she raised her arm, a nervous smile on her face. "I propose we keep the couples together as we play games. There's..." She counted. "Twelve of us. Two teams of six! We can play volleyball, water polo, and more!"
"We could play the atomic whirlpool game. Or pool tag survivor," Gajeel suggested.
Levy winced. "Why does it sound like someone's about to die?"
"I'll play anything if Gray's on my team," Juvia put in, giving Gray her best fuck-me-baby look. "Some swimsuits might come off in the process... Mmmmmmm..."
Erza shook her head. "Tempting as that is, we must be on our best behavior. There are strangers around."
"I'm tempted to sit this out," Evergreen said. "I just wanted a nice soak. These games sound rough."
"Hold on, Ever. It'll be fun! You should join us," Elfman urged her. He took hold of her shoulders. "I'll dominate in volleyball. Just stick close to me!"
Evergreen made a face. "I'm not the competitive type."
"But think of how fun it'll be to win! I'll buy you something at the concession stand to celebrate," Elfman pressed her.
"Um..."
Then Elfman glanced at Natsu, who gave him a certain look.
Elfman got the message. "Sorry, Evergreen. I was just feeling so competitive. If you want to relax in the water, I'll join you! Forget the games."
"Thank you, Elfman," Evergreen said. "But you're so excited for pool games, aren't you? Go ahead and have fun. I'll be fine on my own."
"Have a good time," Elfman told her brightly, letting go of her shoulders. "You've worked so hard this semester! Enjoy your relaxing soak."
"I certainly will." Evergreen gave him a quick smile, then turned and wandered off to chill out in the shallower part of the huge pool.
Natsu gave his friend a thumbs-up. "Good save."
"Does this mean I have a chance? Could I ask her out once we're back in Magnolia?" Elfman asked eagerly.
"Not yet," Natsu told him. "Looks like my chat with Evergreen worked. You're still in the game, Elfman, but take it slow and remember what I told you."
"Oh, my. Big bro is getting serious about a girl?" Lisanna said with a crafty smile, cupping her cheek in her hand. She blushed. "I bet I'm about to see a lot more of Evergreen!"
"Well look at you, playing to win," Gray told Elfman. "And I'm not talkin' about pool games or Maria Kart."
"I must learn the ways of a true gentleman!" Elfman boomed, striking a pose. "I'll become someone worthy of Evergreen's heart! This I must do!"
"Cool it, man," Gajeel cut in, motioning with his hands. "We got way off-topic. Which game do we play first? And what about the teams? With Evergreen out, we're lookin' at eleven players."
"I could go get Loke or Max," Alzack offered. "I'll text 'em to invite 'em here."
"Don't worry. We're already back up to twelve," a familiar girl's voice said. Natsu and the others stared in shock as Cana Alberona joined them, a hand on her hip, a playful smile on her face.
"Uh... hi," Natsu said, managing to be as awkward as possible.
"Hi yourself," Cana said. "Natsu, no hard feelings between us. We're still good friends! I just needed a minute to cool my head, and now I'm ready to play with you. And someone had to sub in for Evergreen."
"Fair enough." Natsu smiled back.
"Okay! Now we're ready," Levy cried. "Who'd like to start with volleyball? Raise your hand!"
Every hand went up.
"And now, the teams," Levy continued. "Team A over here, team B over there! Gajeel and I will be on team A." She stepped back, and Gajeel joined her, arms folded over his chest as though he were Levy's bodyguard.
Erza tossed her lovely red hair. "You're firin' up my competitive spirit, Levy! Jellal, we're on team B. Let's do this." She stepped back, taking Jellal's hand to bring him with her.
"Darling Gray, let's be on Erza's team," Juvia said happily, dragging her man to that particular side.
Gray grunted as Juvia yanked him by the arm. "Why her?"
"Have you seen Erza in a game? She's like an Amazon! She'll tear men in half to win!"
"She can try," Gajeel said with a fierce smile. "Bring it!"
Erza folded her arms, too. "You'll never see me coming."
Natsu, meanwhile, opted to join Levy's team, and Alzack joined him, making it four vs four so far. And then the real question came up.
"Only one of us should be on a team with Natsu," Lisanna told Lucy. "How do we decide?"
"You should wrestle each other naked in the shallow end of the pool!" Juvia cried. "Come on, you both know you want to."
Lisanna and Lucy both stomped a foot. "Like heck we will!" Lisanna barked.
"I have my dignity, you know," Lucy added, shooting Juvia a look. She put a hand to her heart.
"What about thumb wrestling?" Azlack suggested.
Levy snorted. "Are you five years old?"
"Play the game of champions," Jellal suggested to the feuding girls. "Rock paper scissors."
"But that's such a cliche," Lucy argued.
"Then try the expanded version. It has two new moves," Jellal insisted. "It goes: rock paper scissors lizard Sp -"
"Dork alert!" Gajeel cut in.
"I shall arbitrate," Erza declared, puffing out her chest. "Lisanna has known Natsy longer, so she joins his team. Lucy, we'll see about the second game."
"Score!" Lisanna skipped right over to Natsu's side, all smiles. Looking a little annoyed but no less confident in herself, Lucy joined forces with Erza's team, arms folded.
Elfman also joined Natsu's team while Cana took up position next to Erza, and so it was decided! Six versus six!
"Here's a beach ball. I filled it up just this morning," Erza announced happily, holding up the colorful ball in question.
"I saw her do it," Jellal added with a naughty smile. "That girl knows how to blow."
Everyone stared at him like Dude, come on.
Erza's smile widened. "My boy knows what he's talking about!" She high-fived him with great gusto.
Cana was already busting a gut laughing. "Oh man, I love my friends."
"So, are we ready to play?" Elfman boomed. Everyone agreed, and it was on!
"This was my idea, so I'd like to serve first," Levy declared once everyone was in the water. It was nice and cool in here, Natsu thought, and he loved how the pool staff set up a volleyball net for them. Wow, Crocus really did have lots of cool stuff that Magnolia didn't, even if Natsu didn't like admitting it. Sting, Rogue, you lucky dogs!
"Bring it on," Jellal said, motioning. "Erza and I will blow you outta the water!"
"No one beats me at ball games," Erza added, getting into her battle stance. "Beer pong, tennis, croquet, volleyball, you name it!"
Elfman cocked his head. "Croquet? That sport for old people?"
Erza shrugged. "I was bored last summer, okay?"
Meanwhile, Natsu wasn't too sure Levy was fully ready for this. She was tiny, and those arms were not well-muscled for sports! She was the bookish type, acing her exams and helping her friends study like the cool chick she was -

Splash!
"What the fuck?!"
Natsu burst out laughing, and Jellal shrieked in terror, as Levy's spiked ball blasted into the water like a cannonball! A passing lifeguard blew her whistle, scolding Jellal for cursing in this family-friendly environment.
"1-0, Team Ironwings!" Levy cheered, throwing up her arms. "Woo hoo!"
"Since when could you do that shit, geek girl?" Cana teased her. "Have you been hittin' the gym behind our backs?"
"Naw, I'd have seen her in there," Gajeel said, draping an arm across Levy's petite shoulders. "My girl's got spirit. Nothin' more, nothin' less."
Levy giggled.
"Very impressive," Lucy said with a fierce smile, scooping up the volleyball to serve it. "Let's see you do that twice, Levy. Get ready!"
She leaped up and served it with all her might.
Natsu was too slow to get the ball, but Lisanna was right on time, swinging her arm in a graceful arc to knock it back, and Juvia intercepted it with a sudden leap. She returned the ball, with Gajeel catching it at the last possible second. He let out a manly roar and spiked that sucker back over the net, only for Erza to become a battle angel and spike it back so hard, it nearly took Elfman's head off.
"Yow!" the huge Elfman yelped, rubbing his head. "You almost caved in my noggin, Erza!"
"Tied, 1-1," Erza declared proudly, arms folded over her chest. Indeed, the ball ended up right in the water, with no one to serve it back. "That's the power of Team Scarlet!"
Natsu beamed and bashed his fists together. "I'm just getting warmed up. Get ready for the serve!"
He served the ball, and right away, there was Gray to send it back, and Levy smacked the ball back to the other side, where Jellal intercepted it just in time. Eventually, the score reached 4-3 in favor of Team Ironwings, and Natsu was already panting for breath.
"Man, this feels different than soccer practice," Natsu huffed, wiping his brow. "The water makes it so much harder."
"That's okay, Natsu," Lisanna reassured him. She put her hands on his shoulders, all smiles. "I've got a new strategy in mind. Let's be partners and take down Team Scarlet for good!"
"Sure thing, babe," Natsu said, giving Lucy a quick glance. Crud, she was watching the whole thing!
Lucy served the ball pretty hard. Splash!
"Tied at 4-4!" Erza declared. "Bring it on!"
Natsu and Lisanna shared a look. "Let's do it," they said together.
Lisanna served the ball back, shouting in defiance, her lovely blue eyes flashing with energy. Over on the other side, Cana leaped into the fray to bounce the ball back, and this time, it was Alzack who caught the ball, throwing it toward Team Scarlet with gusto. Jellal narrowly caught the ball, and that was when Natsu's teamwork came into play.
"Got it!" Natsu cried, with him and Lisanna spreading out just far enough to cover the entire field but also cover each other, just in case. Whew, that was close! Natsu made it to the ball and served it back over that net, and Gray was just too slow to catch it. 5-4, Team Ironwings!
"Good one!" Lisanna offered two high-fives that Natsu returned. Then they did it again, covering the whole field and each other as Team Scarlet pushed things to the next level, and that tight teamwork saved Team Ironwings from certain doom at least three times. And on one of those occasions, Lisanna hit the ball back hard enough to break through Erza's and Jellal's defenses to score a point. Woo hoo!
In the end, Team Ironwings prevailed, 10-8, and everyone high-fived each other this time.
"See? We're a perfect duo," Lisanna cheered as she hugged Natsu. "Tell him, big bro!"
A jovial Elfman Strauss clapped Natsu pretty hard on the back. "Fantastic teamwork, my man!" Elfman declared. "You and my little sis are meant for each other."
"Aw, thanks," Lisanna said sweetly. Natsu checked, and yup, Lucy was closely watching! She didn't say anything, though.
"Whew. A fine match," Erza said as the net was taken down, offering a hand that Gajeel firmly shook. "I've been humbled."
"You were a more than worthy opponent," Gajeel said kindly.
"Mmmmm. Yes." Erza nodded, then spread her arms wide. "But the games aren't over yet! Let us reshuffle the teams and prepare for water polo! Is everyone ready to rock?"
"YEAH!" the friends cheered, all raising their fists.
"Count me in," a familiar girl's voice suddenly put in.
Natsu and the others turned to find Evergreen standing on the pool's edge, hands on her hips, an excited grin on her face. "I thought you were gonna just chill out today," Natsu told her.
"I was... until I got a little bored, Natsu," Evergreen told him. "This is our last day in Crocus. I'd like to make some more memories. May I join?"
"The more, the merrier! Yay!' Juvia cheered, waving her arms. "Come on, you sexy queen!"
"That makes 13. I'll take my leave," Cana said, climbing out of the pool as Evergreen eased herself in.
Jellal stared at her. "For real? But you love party stuff."
Cana shrugged. "Evergreen deserves a shot. And I really wanna hit the concession stand. I'm famished. How about I join the next game?"
"Sure."
That was when Erza made a naughty smile, a horny aura of red energy flaring up around her.
Lucy recoiled. "What's that look, Erza?"
Her mouth filled with sharp teeth, Erza declared, "Now that we're warmed up, it's time to make things interesting, boys and girls! This time, we can play rough. Even if that means tearing swimwear off!"
"Haha! Yeah!" Gajeel cheered, earning him a skeptical look from Levy.
"Don't worry, Evergreen. I vow to protect your modesty!" Elfman told his lady friend.
Evergreen smiled. "I'm counting on you."
Natsu nodded to himself. So far, so good with Elfman/Evergreen! Just stay the course, Elfman.
"So, does this mean we can rip off anything?" Juvia asked with a naughty smile to rival Erza's own.
Erza nodded. "Absolutely!"
"WHAT!" Cana suddenly reappeared, looking outraged. "How could you do this after I drop out? I wanna get naked, too!"
The same lifeguard marched past her, blowing her whistle for inappropriate conduct at the pool. Man, whatever!
"We promise you'll get naked in the next game," Juvia reassured her. "In fact, why don't we all be naked for the third game? It'll be fun!"
"Preach!" Gray threw up his hands.
Jellal winced. "This is getting awkward, fast."
Natsu snorted and gave him a little shove. "Be honest. What do you expect from our crew?"
"... exactly this."
Natsu gave him the thumbs-up.
"So, who's on what team?" Gajeel asked. "Since we're mixing things up this time."
"Not too much," Juvia said, defensively wrapping her arms around Gray's waist again. "Gray and I are together until the end of time!"
"We make such a fine duo, Natsu," Lisanna told him brightly. "Let's form the second team and -"
"Hold your horses, princess." Lucy swam right over and pointed at her rival. "I was promised a turn with him. Why don't you team up with your brother?"
"No way. I'm with Natsu," Lisanna shot back. "You're too late."
"Am not. Natsu didn't agree to anything yet."
"That's true," Natsu put in. "How about -"
"But you will stay on my team, right?" Lisanna asked Natsu, giving him an expectant look. "You and I were unstoppable in that volleyball game."
"Lisanna, you can't hog him all day," Lucy retorted. "And Natsu, we didn't finish our date earlier today. This feels like a fine way to wrap things up."
"That's such a cheap idea," Lisanna argued. "Finishing your date? Please."
Lucy put a hand to her heart. "Natsu can't get enough of this."
Lisanna paddled a little closer to Lucy. "He got plenty of you today. He's on my team! End of story!"
Lucy paddled closer, too. "This story isn't over, honey. I'm due my turn. Don't get in my way."
"You...!" Lisanna pouted as she paddled even closer... and the two girls' huge busts gently bounced off each other. Nice!
Natsu waved his hands. "I was on Lisanna's team first, so I'll be with Lucy this time. Then back and forth for all our games. Is that fair?"
Lisanna and Lucy gave each other a calculating look, then both looked at Natsu, then back at each other. "Yes. Much agreed," Lucy said, offering a hand.
Lisanna shook it. "Enjoy him while you've got him, blondie."
"Oh, I will."
As Lucy smiled and protectively hugged her arms around Natsu, the teams took shape. Alzack joined Natsu once again, while Lisanna and her brother formed the core of the opposing team. Gray and Juvia sided with Natsu and Lucy, so Gajeel, Levy, and Evergreen joined the other side. Finally, Erza and Jellal shocked everyone as Erza aligned herself with Natsu's team and Jellal integrated himself with Lisanna's team.
"This is team Natsu! Let's have a wonderful match, everyone!" Lucy cheered, and the six of them whooped with competitive energy. Meanwhile, the other side dubbed themselves Team Strauss.
"My my, Natsu," Erza told Natsu with a quick grin. "You're a popular guy today." She glanced at Lucy.
Lucy folded her arms. "Natsu is a star athlete. We should share him."
"We means you and the lovely Lisanna Strauss, right?"
Lucy looked a little uncomfortable as she answered in the affirmative.
"I heard you were in a little harem situation, Natsu," Alzack piped up. "Man, I can't imagine what that's like!"
"Yeah, you're Mr. 'I found Ms. Perfect right away,' aren't you," Natsu retorted lightly. "It ain't so simple for some folks. But I should mention that Cana and I broke things off earlier today."
"Do tell?" Erza said, blinking. "I hope no one got hurt?"
Natsu shook his head. "No hard feelings. Cana and I better off as friends. The carnal hookup was a dead end after all."
"But what Gray and I have is real. So real," Juvia purred, caressing her man's bare chest, licking her lips.
Erza smiled and clapped her hands together. "Okay, it's time to talk strategy. How are we going to do this? Who's the goalie?"
"Me," Alzack offered, waving a hand. "I'm a slow swimmer, after all."
"I can take the lead on offense," Natsu said, jabbing a thumb at his chest. "Gray, Juvia, stick close to me. Erza, Lucy, you're on our flanks."
Juvia glanced at Lucy, then motioned. "Oh, I dunno, Natsu. I'm not such a great swimmer, either. I think Lucy should take my place in your trio."
Natsu blinked. "Huh? You're a natural in the water! Don't people call you The Mermaid?"
"I've... lost my touch. Dear me," Juvia said in a singsong voice, glancing away. "Lucy, you're in."
"My pleasure," Lucy said fondly. "Thanks, Juvia. And Natsu, I won't let you down!" She batted her lashes at him.
Natsu wanted to kick himself. Duh! Juvia wanted the lovebirds right by each other's sides. Now let's do this!
The pool staff were considerate enough to take down the volleyball net and provide the ball and goals for water polo (this pool rocked!), and the game was on.
"Heads up, Natsu!" Gray cried as Elfman and Jellal got in his way, blocking him from reaching Team Strauss's goal two minutes later. He tossed that ball, and Natsu caught it with his left hand. This felt like upside-down soccer, with the players only throwing the ball with one hand rather than kicking with feet. And it was way harder than running on the soccer field! But hey, it sure beat the heat.
Natsu swam a few feet to the right, then passed the ball to Juvia, who proved why she's The Mermaid and tore across the water with glee, kicking up droplets as she went. Juvia streaked right past Lisanna and Gajeel, and threw the ball right into the goal for the first point, right past Levy the goalie.
"1-0, Team Natsu!" Erza declared, holding up both hands with her pointing fingers up.
"We're just getting started. That round was just a warmup," Lisanna challenged her, tossing the ball up and down. "Get ready, Team Scarlet!"
Natsu got ready with Gray and Lucy by his side.
Not ready enough! Dammit!
"Someone stop her!" Gray cried as Lisanna punched her way through Team Natsu's defenses, a fire burning in her eyes. Erza and Lucy tried to intercept her, but Gajeel and Elfman made sure that didn't happen, and Lisanna was almost in range to make a throw into the goal.
"No!" Natsu cried, but he was too late. Lisanna was preparing her throw -
"It's mine!" Juvia hollered, blitzing right over to Lisanna's position and thrusting out a hand to swipe the ball.
Juvia's hand snagged the string of Lisanna's top instead.
"Eeeeek!" Lisanna yelped, dropping the ball. "J-Juvia...!"
"Hang on!" Juvia tried to yank her hand free, but oopsies! Her fingers got caught on the knot, undoing it. Lisanna's top popped right off, and her magnificent breasts emerged into the open air, fresh and perky.
"KYAAAAAAH!" Lisanna went bright red and crossed her arms over her chest at once. "Juvia, was that on purpose?!"
"N-no! It was an accident," Juvia cried, waving her arms frantically. "Oh my gosh, is that a foul?"
"Good question," Evergreen piped up as everyone stopped playing for a moment. "Who's the ref, anyway?"
"We didn't pick one," Natsu realized.
Lisanna, meanwhile, grabbed her top and tied it back on, with Elfman using his wide torso to shield her from everyone's eyes.
"How about -" Jellal started.
"How about me? Cana Alberona?" a familiar voice declared. Everyone turned to Cana, standing by the pool's edge with her hand on her hips, a wide smile on her face.
"We need a ruling," Lucy implored her. "What do we do about tearing off a swim top by accident?"
"Assuming it was an accident," Cana said suggestively, giving Juvia a crafty look.
Juvia flinched. "J-Juvia is innocent!" she squeaked. That was a funny habit of hers, switching to 3rd person when she was nervous... or lying her butt off.
Cana snorted in amusement. "I don't buy it, missy. I declare that an intentional foul!" She made a chopping motion with her hand.
"How would you know? Were you even watching?" Gray demanded, pointing at Cana.
"It's okay, my darling," Juvia assured him, looking bashful and going bright red. "I'll accept my punishment like the bad girl I am."
"That's right! Now, remove your own top!" Cana demanded.
Juvia complied at once. Behold her lovely tits!
"Whoa there!" Jellal clapped his hands over his eyes. "There's only one rack I should be seeing, and it ain't that one."
Erza clapped a hand to Jellal's shoulder. "Your commitment is most impressive."
"That, and I don't want you to punt me all the way back to Magnolia."
"Darn right."
Natsu got one brief eyeful of Juvia's huge, naked breasts half-submerged in the water before he wrenched his eyeballs away and motioned to his team. "Okay, we're back in it. Get ready for the game! No more distractions!"
The twelve players dove right back in, and once again, Lisanna was unstoppable! She actually let out a cry like a shonen protagonist with a fiery background as she surged through the water and spiked the ball at Team Natsu's goal. Alzack was too slow to stop her, and bam! The game was tied, 1-1!
"We need to sharpen our teamwork," Lucy said in the team huddle between rounds. "Natsu, stick close to me. Gray, you too. Erza, Juvia, watch out for Lisanna and Gajeel, their best players, and keep the heat off our team's main trio. Alzack, stay on your toes."
"Roger!" everyone cried. And Natsu couldn't help a smile as Lucy patted him on the back as a gesture of teamwork, friendship, and probably a whole lot more!
Round 3 had an explosive start as Natsu, Lucy, and Gray crossed the pool in a wedge formation, with Erza and Juvia doing their best to keep Lisanna and Gajeel at bay. Back and forth they tossed the ball, and the tight teamwork paid off! Natsu couldn't help another excited smile as he, Lucy, and Gray got within striking distance of the goal, and once Lucy passed the ball to Natsu, he punted it toward the waiting goal.
Levy blocked it with both hands. Bummer!
"Hey, that was some excellent coordination," Levy told Natsu's squad brightly. "I'm Impressed!"
"Thanks." Natsu gave her a thumbs-up. "And next time, I'm getting that ball in!"
"Go ahead and try!"
Then round 4 started, and Lisanna, Gajeel, and Elfman formed their own trio to blast their way across the furious waters and toward the goal! Erza blocked Elfman while the topless Juvia dealt with Gajeel, but then there was Lisanna, who had no trouble evading Lucy and Natsu. She got ready to throw the ball into the goal -
"Shit!" Gray lunged to block Lisanna, and whoops! His hand caught on her top, and tore the whole thing off. Cue phase 2 of Lisanna's exposed jugs!
"What the hell!" Lisanna covered herself again, but not before she smacked Gray's face with extreme force. "That had to be intentional!"
"Hands off my man!" Juvia roared, swimming over to block Gray from any more slaps.
"But he... that perv...!" Lisanna cried.
"Total accident! I swear!" Gray yelped.
"He did that on purpose!" Elfman grated. "No one gets to touch my sister like that!"
"ORDER! ORDER!" Cana shouted as though this were a courtroom for some reason. She waved both hands. "Everyone keep their hands to themselves. And you know what this means...!"
Gray rolled his eyes. "Anything but that..."
"Take it off, Gray!" Cana cheered.
To Juvia's pleasure and everyone else's annoyance, Gray obeyed the naughty coach and yanked off his blue and black swim trunks. He gave everyone a defiant look. "I accept my punishment like a true man."
"All is forgiven!" Elfman declared, clearly trying hard to look anywhere but at Gray.
"Gray, you oughta stay this way all day," Juvia purred, running her hands along her buck-naked paramour. "I'm showing some skin, too! How about a little more?" She giggled and reached down to take off her bikini bottom.
"Hold up, missy! Save the best part for later," Cana cried.
"Did she have to phrase it like that?" Levy wondered.
"Round 5!" Erza declared.
Natsu and Lucy stuck close and kept passing that ball as they grappled for aquatic dominance over Team Strauss, but aside from that, things were unraveling fast and falling apart, not unlike Lisanna's swimsuit! Just as Lucy scored a point, Jellal fumbled with his tackle and undid Lucy's top! And it totally seemed on purpose. Erza watched with great interest as Jellal tore off his swim trunks to resume playing in his fabulous birthday suit.
Then, right before Evergreen could pass the ball to Elfman, Erza's hand got caught on Evergreen's top, and off it came! Wow, Evergreen's breasts were perfectly identical, and shaped so well! She was a modern Venus, not that Natsu got more than a second's worth of view time! As punishment, Erza was asked to take off her top, and she happily complied.
"Did you do that as an excuse to show some skin?" Levy asked Erza, rolling her eyes.

"My queen knows what's up." Jellal offered a hand, and Erza fist-bumped him.
The game was 3-2 in Team Natsu's favor when it happened: Lisanna's reckless hands seized Natsu's swim trunks and slid them off, leaving a bashful Natsu naked as the day his sorry ass was born. Oh, no!
"Now, that had to be on purpose!" Lucy snarled, swimming right up to the marauding Lisanna. "Admit it!"
"Admit what? I was just trying to play," Lisanna said loftily.
"Oh, please. You're trying to score some major points, but not in water polo."
"Penalty!" Cana barked, pointing. "Lisanna, Lucy, get naked pronto!"
Lucy nearly choked. "WHAT!"
"Lisanna strips for a penalty. And you strip, Lucy, because your man is naked and this is the third time Lisanna's showing everyone her tits! This balances things out a bit."
Lucy sighed and dutifully reached back to undo her top's string. "Fair is fair. Is this what you wanted, Lisanna?"
Then the girls took a moment to savor the feeling of the cool pool water on their naked bodies, and they broke into identical smiles.
"This feels wonderful," Lucy breathed.
"Doesn't it?" Lisanna said cozily. "Feel the embrace of the tides, Lucy!"

"So... no hard feelings?" Lisanna asked meekly as she approached Lucy, with Natsu joining them a second later.
Lucy offered her hand. "None. I'm sorry if I got carried away or said anything uncalled for, Lisanna. I just got so fired up...!"
"I understand. And I'm sorry, too," Lisanna told her. "Oh my gosh. Are we going to destroy our friendship at this rate? If Mirajane saw what we all did today...!"
"Here." Lucy one-upped the handshake and hugged Lisanna nice and tight. "I forgive you, and you know what? I love your competitive spirit, Lisanna. You're so passionate!"
"I take after Natsu and my big bro that way," Lisanna told her. "They live life to the fullest, so I do the same thing. But if it means attacking you, Lucy, I've gone too far. I'm really sorry!"
Lucy parted from Lisanna and held onto the other girl's shoulders. "All is forgiven, Lisanna. We really let Natsu come between us, didn't we?" She gave Natsu a look.
Natsu timidly waved. "Hi. Natsu here."
"Then I'd like to say something," Lisanna said. "Natsu, Lucy, please listen. We're all friends, and we should act like it. Lucy, let's keep the competition friendly and remember that we're important to each other, too! And Natsu, please choose one of us soon. Like, within a week?"
Natsu stiffened his back and saluted. "I promise! You're both amazing girls. You deserve better than to be strung along forever."
"Much agreed," Lisanna said loftily as Lucy let her go. "I'd like us to return to Magnolia on good terms. Don't you all thinks so, too?"
Lucy nodded. "Mmmmm! Yes. We have our own lives to live beyond this love triangle. I can't wait to see what comes next."
"Me, neither," Lucy said with a wide smile. "Right, Natsu?"
Natsu beamed. "Yeah!"
However, Natsu couldn't help but notice the energy in Lisanna's eyes wavering, and her smile seemed rather forced. Whoa... what was that all about?
From there, the friends went their separate ways, and when Natsu finally returned to his hotel room, he checked his phone and found a text from Elfman.

Yeah. You're getting the hang of this, Natsu texted back happily. But remember, that just bought you a second chance at dating her. This is the bare minimum. Let's not celebrate just yet!
Very true, Elfman swiftly responded. I see that now. I was being impatient and making Evergreen uncomfortable. For that, I owe her a hundred apologies.
I suggest doing that in person.

Whew! Natsu smelled like chlorine and sweat, so he tossed his dirty clothes and swim shorts into the corner before he treated himself to a hot shower. Ah, so fresh, ready for the bus ride back to Magnolia. He was just in time, too, since it was almost 4:00. Then, there was a knock at the door.
"Coming!" Natsu wrapped the fluffy white towel around his waist and answered the door.
There stood Mr. Conbolt, the field trip's organizer.
"There's been a problem, Natsu," Mr. Conbolt told him. "But don't worry, it's not that bad..."
