It didn't take long for Klea and I to finish the exam, and once we finished and everyone else had too we went to see Mr. Ruzek. "You wanted to see us?" I asked. "Yes, I have a special project for the 2 of you, I feel like you two show the most promise in my class. I will give you extra credit towards my class if you complete the task and write a report on it. Are you interested?" he asked. "Hell yes!" Klea said and I agreed with her, I mean who wouldn't extra credit was something anyone could use. Just then Hallie walked in, "no" I said, "yes she needs your help, and I know you two will both do well" he said, I wondered how she even knew him. Did she go to him and recommend us? This all made no sense, I wanted to help but I just felt like this was going to come back and bite me in the ass. "Go help" Mr. Ruzek said and we left with Hallie, the whole thought of this made me feel sick and I just got over a freaking sickness.
"Are we really doing this?" I asked Klea, "we have to now Max, I mean I get that this sucks more for you than it does for me but I will not let either of them do anything to you" she said, that made me laugh I knew she had my back. "Fine Hallie what do you know?" I asked, "not a whole lot, I know she was hanging out with these weird guys, they seemed sketchy to me, then she disappeared. She texted me like 2 days later saying she was here in Toronto" she said. "We need Adam" Klea said and she ran to find her boyfriend, he was able to trace Scarlett's phone and I knew where she was but I didn't like it. I already knew who this involved and this was going to be more annoying for me than anything else. We made it to the house, "wait we have been here before" Klea said. "Yup this is Drew's house" "I said, "oh um well are you going to be okay?" she asked, "yeah let's just get this over with" I said. We all walked up to the door, and Drew was not alone he was with Shane too both my school bullies, "well well Max Chapman" Drew said, "I am here for her" I said pointing to Scarlett. "Well you need to give us what we want in order to get her" he said, "what is that exactly?" I said, "the money she owes us. It is her fault we lost thousands of dollars" he said. "Well I don't have that kind of money" I said, "sucks then she will stay and pay her debt" Shane said, "what does that mean exactly?" Klea asked, "it means she will do what I want until I am satisified" Shane said he was the scarier bully to me.
I knew he had a rough life growing up but like this was ridiculous, "just let her go" Hallie said, "stay out of this!" Shane said looking at her, Scarlett screamed as another guy I didn't know went for her. This was beginning to get ridiculous, I mean what exactly did they want from her I didn't know. I just knew that these guys were not going to let her go without a fight. This was not exactly the take it easy the doctor had recommended for me, I studied the room. I needed to come up with a plan, I knew Drew was the easier one to get around he wasn't as bad, it was the new guy that scared me the most. He had a gun, I just needed to keep everyone safe, "is that necessary" I said looking at the gun, "oh this well if you do not all get lost I will shoot you all" he said laughing, "come on Corey is that necessary" Drew said, "cram it Drew it is we need her she is our ticket to lots of money" Corey said, it seemed to me like he was the leader. Klea was backing away what was she doing, I mean I kept looking at the gun I knew all to well and I was going to make sure no one was to get hurt.
Klea dove for Corey and the gun went off, Hallie and Scarlett both screamed, and then I saw it a blur like a tiny blur of brown and brown bite the gun. What the hell? He was cute I wondered if he was trapped as well, next thing I knew the cops arrived, I don't even know how they got here, Hallie must have called them. In the next room the drugs were found and when I say drugs I meant like a lot, this was a huge drug raid. We were thanked by the cops and Corey tried to grab the puppy he was pissed it bit him but I pulled him away he looked like he was abused he was trying to bite me, this little puppy had been through a lot. "Thanks" Scarlett said kissing me on the cheek, Klea became all defensive, "I won't overstep I know he is over me and as much as I hate it I respect it. I am sorry Max for everything and I hope you can forgive me. I hope that one day we could at least be friends" she said as she left with Hallie. I sighed while still fighting the aggressive puppy, "he is cute" Klea said, "yeah he is hurt though" I said, "well let's fix him" she said.
"We were able to check him over and clean him up, he wasn't hurt too badly and the scars would heal but he was scruffy, we were able to give him a bath. "Do you think he would work with us?" I asked, "I am not sure he doesn't seem like the loyal type" I said, "well he needs to be trained" Klea said, I coughed so loud is scared the puppy, and when I was done he whined. "I am okay buddy" I said and I sat down he curled up in my lap, "looks like he is worried about you" she said. "Well I mean having a dog might be helpful, I know Jax is a kick ass police dog" I said, "well I say we keep him" Klea said, "me too what is his name?" I asked, "hmm Sparky?" Klea said, "that is cute but I am not sure if suits him he needs a kick ass name" I said. "hmm" Klea said and we thought about it for a little while, when Aria came, "awe he is cute" she said, "yeah we sort of saved him" I said, Aria went to pet him and he snapped at her. "He is not so trusting" I said petting his head trying to calm him, "its fine what is his name?" she asked, "we are trying to figure that out" I said. "He looks tough to me" Aria said, "me too, Titan, Duke or Diesel?" I said, "let's ask him" Klea said, "Duke?" I said and the puppy looked at me weird. "Nope how about Diesel?" I said, again nothing, "Titan?" I asked and he barked, "you like that name Titan?" I said and he barked again, "Klea?" I asked. "I like it too" she said and now we had our pup Titan we went from a duo to a Trio. Of course Titan was going to need some training but he was loyal to me. I did like that, he needed to work on his trust issues but for now he was loyal to me and sort of Klea.
