- UA - Auditorium -
2:30 PM
During lunch, Midoriya, Iida, and Todoroki told everyone that was in the Yaoyorozu Estate yesterday about the Stain Incident.
Some like Yaoyorozu, Uraraka, and Ashido were all shocked at the display of heroism that they went through to stop Stain, while some were surprised about the details, such as Asui, Jirou, and Kaminari. Yaoyorozu, Uraraka, Ashido, and Kaminari all grimaced at Stain's quirk, though.
After agreeing to keep this a secret from all of their classmates and everyone else, they all went back to eat their lunch...until the PA system rang through its speakers telling everyone to meet at the auditorium around 2:30 for an important announcement.
Once Class 1-A went through all their classes, it was now that time, and all of the student-faculty were heading over to the auditorium to hear what announcement their principal will allegedly report to them.
"I wonder what this announcement will entail?" Yaoyorozu asked anyone around her.
"Who knows? I mean, maybe something related to our End of Term Test?" said Jirou, "...I just hope it doesn't involve us somehow," she muttered that last sentence.
"Uuugh, please let it not," Kaminari groaned.
"As if we need more attention on us, ribbit," Asui muttered as well.
"I'm...sure it won't be that...hopefully," Midoriya said a little sheepishly.
"I'm not too confident. It probably will be about us, depending on our loss against Joker and his crew," said Iida, "Usually these announcements are of utmost importance in UA, so they have to involve us."
"...Thanks, Iida. That makes me feel a lot better," Todoroki mumbled.
"Um...it wasn't supposed to?" Iida said in confusion.
"...I was being sarcastic, Iida," Todoroki explained.
"...Oh...uh...sorry..." Iida said as he rubbed the back of his head in a feeble manner.
"Well, hey, it's just a part of learning, right?" Ashido told them, "We won't let stuff like that happen to us again! We just got to be more attuned to our surroundings and keep ourselves alert! It's the only way we can be stronger and become better heroes!"
"Yeah! And you guys certainly were brave against that incident with you-know-who! If you three can do that, then you can do anything!" Uraraka nodded with a bright smile. She turned her attention to Iida, who was next to her, "However, you should be careful and not be so rage-filled whenever something like that happened. That's not a heroic trait people would use. And I understand what you were going through, Iida, but you almost would've been severely hurt if Stain did anything really worse than what he did to you! I'm just thankful you didn't get hurt too badly! Your brother would've been really sad and so would all of us! I'm just glad Deku and Todoroki were there to get you out of there!"
"...Uh...y-yes, th-thank you!" Iida stuttered with his face a little red, "I-I'm just glad that...I-I get to live another day...w-with...with you and my friends..."
Oh, darn it! That wasn't tacked on, was it? I mean, I meant it, but...what if that was too much?
However, Uraraka smiled brightly once more and nodded as she said, "Yeah! We're glad you're doing alright now, Iida! And also, just know we got your back!"
"...Uh, r-right!" Iida was nodding a little rapidly.
With a smile on her face, Uraraka and the others kept on walking...
...But of course, some of the kids saw Iida's reaction to Uraraka's pep talk.
...Yeah, Iida's got a thing for Uraraka. Tsuyu.
Man, Iida's got it baaaad. Mina.
...Dude, I feel like I'm missing something here...but yet, it's screaming right in my face. Jirou.
...That was odd...Iida was all...shakey whenever Uraraka was talking to him...hmm...is this like Yaoyorozu with Midoriya? Todoroki thought, ...Actually, Kaminari and Jirou are getting closer too...huh...
As soon as they reached the auditorium, they all sat in their seats and waited for Principal Nedzu to come up to the podium for his announcement.
The teachers were also there, as well as All Might in his buff form from Midoriya's perspective. Soon, all the students sat in their seats and waited for when their principal will start. Nedzu soon entered the stage, walking up to his pedestal and podium. Once he came up the podium, Nedzu cleared his throat and tapped on the mic to begin his announcement.
"Afternoon, students!" Nedzu started cheerfully, "I apologize that this announcement is being put out here on such short notice, but I would think now is a better time to bring up some rather dire...improvements to our school, such as adding more safety precautions, adding residential facilities for our students, and how to move forward from here on in."
Residential facilities? Midoriya and the others, as well as all of Class 1-A and the student-faculty, thought in surprise.
"Now, regarding what has happened to some of our hero students in Class 1-A, we here at our school should try even better to educate our students in the best way possible. Thus, thanks to this incident that our nine students have endured, we realized that villains will attack anyone of our UA student-faculty at random. To prevent something of this caliber from happening again, the school board and I decided to add some residential living within our campus. Dormitories, for the lack of a better term," Nedzu told the students.
Dormitories? Midoriya's eyes widened at this sudden development.
"We want to monitor our students in our school to provide them absolute safety and peace of mind. However, this plan is still in development at the moment, and as of right now, one of our staff members, Cementoss, is finalizing with the contractor to let him build the dormitories. As for moving forward, we have decided to not only focus on the Hero Course but on all the other Courses as well. We will be dedicated to further improving your education and skills to meet up not only our standards here at our school, but into your standard of what a Hero should be."
As Nedzu continued, Midoriya could only think of one thing.
...For some reason, I feel like my Mom is not gonna like this, is she?
Once Nedzu relayed the announcement to all of the students, they were all offered acceptance slips for their parents to fill out. Midoriya and the rest of Class 1-A finished all of their classes today and went off on their way to their homes to give their parents the news. Of course, Yaoyorozu is still staying at Jirou's home, so she'll probably tell her parents by phone...
Before they left, Midoriya did ask Yaoyorozu how she was holding up. She said to him that her parents had called her to check up on her after they saw the news, and told them that she was alright and not to worry about her as she was staying at a friend's home, but they also asked who the 'boy that was called a true hero' was and wondered if he was in her class. She told them his name and they told her to tell Midoriya that they are forever grateful that they saved their daughter from this madman.
Feeling a little embarrassed by this praise from their parents, Midoriya just told Yaoyorozu to tell them it was no problem. However, Yaoyorozu had to agree with her parents, as she was absolutely grateful for Midoriya coming to the rescue. So, with that said, Yaoyorozu decided to go for it again and give him a hug...which made all vital signs of Midoriya stop for just a second. Keeping it together, Midoriya thanked Yaoyorozu...and told her he would do it again. Thus, the heiress looked like she blushed up a storm as she stood there...it also looked like she was about to do something else, like move forward towards Midoriya...but then she soon said 'bye' with a smile and walked off with Jirou...
...Another thing went into Midoriya's mind when he sees Yaoyorozu walk off...
...Oh snap. I am in love.
...Time Passes By...
11:30 PM
"Go! Go, go, go! Move it!" exclaimed a masked blonde man with four red horns on his head to his other three accomplices.
The other three, one a big weird-looking bald guy with a yellow horn for a nose, the other a guy with a blue headband around his cranium, as well as having long elf ears and tall brown hair. The last one was a man with a mouthpiece mask around his mouth and orange hair that looks stylized into a part of a gear. He also has a green stripe that's pasted vertically across his mask and face.
The big guy, Yellow, was carrying a whole cabinet and the cash register with it in his arms, while the tall hair guy, Blue, and the bandana guy, Green, were carrying their weapons, both metal pipes in their hands, as the blonde haired man, Red, was directing them out of the convenience store they were robbing.
"Dump it in the trunk!" Red told Yellow as he went around the driver's seat of their truck.
"Gotcha!" Yellow exclaimed, and placed the whole cash register cabinet in the trunk of their truck.
"Okay, let's go, let's go!" Blue shouted at them as he entered the other side of the truck. Yellow went inside as well, while Green was in the trunk guarding the counter and the cash register.
The tires screeched and they were off, driving wildly off into the night...
They soon escaped single-handedly from any authorities and Pro Heroes, hiding in an alleyway as they wait for when everything calms down.
"Yeah! We did it! That was too easy!" exclaimed Red victoriously.
"Yeah! That Pro Hero ain't nothing against Team Reservoir Dogs! We showed that wannabe Hero who's boss!" Blue also exclaimed vigorously.
"Man, how awesome was that? Everything went our way smoothly!" Yellow piped.
"Yeah! We could be unstoppable at this point!" said Green through the back truck window that was open.
"Hold on, that was just the first one. We don't want to rob another store and get in line with a stronger Hero's sights. This is good for now. We'll try again tomorrow night. Come on, let's head to the base," Red advised them.
After some agreement from the others, Red turned on the truck to let the headlights lead their way out of the alleyway...
...When someone, a woman, was shown in their line of sight, the headlights shone in on the figure.
She was wearing red and black attire, her legs in knee-high boots, with her right leg being a red boot, and the left leg wearing a black boot. She also wore a red skirt with bottom black frills, and a half-black-and-red zipped-up corset tube top. But what was most unique about this woman, was that she was wearing...a doll face mask. Her hair was all blonde and was styled into two pigtails, with each of the tips of her hair having red on the right pigtail and blue on the left pigtail. She was standing and leaning on what looked like a bat that was in her hands as the tip of it was on the ground.
"Huh? What the hell?" Red muttered in surprise.
"Hey, who's the chick?" Blue asked anyone in his gang.
"Uh...I don't know," said Yellow in confusion.
"Hey! Move out of the way, you bitch!" Green told the mysterious woman, "Are you some other poser Hero!?"
The woman stood there for a second, until she giggled, "Well, that's not a nice thing to say to a lady~!" she said in her heavily accented voice.
"Hey, move it or lose it! We ain't gonna stop for some loser Hero trying to make it in the big leagues! Get out of the way, or we'll ram ya!" Red exclaimed at her.
"Gee, at least your gentlemanly," the woman said sarcastically. She stood up and swung her bat weapon over her shoulders, letting the bat be behind her head as she looped her arms over it to hold it in place. "Why don't I show you boys' a good time?"
The Reservoir Dogs glanced at each other in question, until Red said to her. "You mean you ain't a Hero?"
"Tch! Nah, I'm just your average freak of a woman. And I can be freaky when I want to be," The woman said to them in a sensual way.
"Hmph. Don't listen to her, Red. I don't know who this chick is, but she looks like bad news," Blue advised his leader.
"I don't know...she looks kind of hot," Yellow threw his two cents in.
Green crouched down to the back truck window, letting his face be in view as he says, "Focus, Yellow. We don't know what kind of-"
Pwiiiishhh!
Pwiiiishhh!
Pwiiishhh!
Pwiiishhh!
"Huh!?" Green uttered.
"What the-!?" Red felt the truck lowering itself a bit.
The Reservoir Dogs, not knowing what is happening looked forward...
And there, sliding into view at the left side of the truck, was a slim-looking man, who was wearing a black bodysuit. He seemed to be skating on the ground using his feet...which created sparks. He stood next to the woman, letting his hands be out in front, with his fingers in view, wiggling them. They looked like…razors. He was also wearing a plague mask.
And then, suddenly, there was a person that appeared out of thin air. He was...a mutant Quirk individual, that being a Chameleon type, thanks to the tail he has. He was wearing a black sweater, some black pants with exposed webbed feet, and a black skullcap. He was also holding a sharp knife in his hand. He was wearing a plague mask as well.
"Hey! What the fuck!?" Red yelled out.
"Looks like you ain't going anywhere, Reservoir Pusses!" the woman(Hare) said to them in a cruel teasing tone.
"Hey, here's an idea! Why don't you and your posse come over here and fight us, Dawg?" The man with a Chameleon Quirk(Cham) goaded him.
"Yeah! We'll make it quick! Honest!" said the slim man(Razor) with a scraggly voice.
"You son of a bitches!" Red yelled out and got out of the truck, "You'll pay for this! You after our money? Then you'll have to take it from us swinging!"
"Yeah! Nobody does this to the Reservoir Dogs!" yelled out Yellow as he got out along with Blue. Green hopped off the truck as well, all four of them in front of the headlights of their downed truck.
"I don't want to beat down a lady, but if you want it that way, toots, then get ready for it!" Blue threatened.
Razor and Cham snickered, with Hare saying, "Well, sorry to disappoint you losers, but we're not in the mood to beat up weak small fries like yourselves!"
"Losers!? Weak!? Small fries!? That's it, bitch, you and your guys are going down!" Red exclaimed at her, "Get em' gu-"
SMAAAASSH!
There was a shockwave behind the Reservoir Dogs as well as a loud metallic crunching noise. The four-man group staggered forward and collided on the ground in a shocked daze. Blue looked behind them to see that...the top of their truck was smashed by a man! A large man with a Mutant Quirk, his skin looking like harden crystal. He was wearing a blue tux and was also wearing a plague mask as well.
"Knock-knock!" mocked the large crystal-looking man(Crystal) to the gang.
"Hey! Our ride!" Blue exclaimed in shock.
"Wha-" Red turned around and looked up at the behemoth of a crystal man. His eyes widened in awe...but mostly dread, "...Oh shit. Uh...hey, um, I, uh-"
BAAAAM!
Then another loud landing from behind them shook where they stood. They turned around again and saw...another large man with brown skin who was wearing a red wifebeater shirt and black jeans, complete with black boots. He himself was also wearing a plague mask.
"Ha! Hey, what happened? You acted all tough back there, where was that attitude a while back?" the other large man(Rubber) asked him accusingly.
"...Oh shit. Oh shit! I-I mean-" Red then tried to put up a tough front, getting his fists to get ready to fight, "O-Okay! That's cool then! It's five against four! I like those odds!"
"Oh, then you're going to love me!" said a new male voice.
Coming around Rubber, a new figure came out and then...pointed his gun at Red.
PWICK!
It was a silencer, just so it didn't make too much sound. The bullet hit Red in the arm.
"AAAUUGHK!"
"RED!" the other three exclaimed to him.
"Auugh!" Red yelled out. He looked at the wound on his arm to see...that it was some sort of shot that was lodged in it. "What the-!?"
Then...Red started to feel...funny...
"Wha...huh?" Red then knelt there, feeling like his whole body...changed...somehow...
Getting the shot out of his arm, which still caused him even more pain as he groaned in agony, he was about to get up, when-
"WHOA, RED! YOUR HORNS!" exclaimed Yellow.
"Huh? W-What about them!?" Red asked in confusion, his arm aching from his injury.
"They're...They're gone!" Blue said in dreadful shock.
"...What?" He lifted his free hand and placed it on his forehead...
They were gone.
"...What...What the fuck?" Red's eyes widened, the look of pure horror coming across his features.
"Oh, goody! It works!" said the voice of...
The new man walked into the slowly flickering lights of the damaged headlights...and unmasked and wearing a purple tux, was...
...Joker.
"I mean, there was no doubt in my mind, of course! I just always love to see something I make come out as a success!" Joker grinned evilly.
"What…What did you do!?" Red exclaimed at angrily the clown.
"Oh come on, like your Quirk was that strong," scoffed Joker, "Either way, you should probably lower your standards. Like maybe try becoming a tax collector instead of a Villain? I mean, that's kind of evil in its own way."
"YOU BASTARD! What the hell did you do to my Quirk!?" Red yelled at Joker, rushing over at him lifting his free arm, ready to sock him.
But Joker ducked his punch and delivered a left kick to Red's ribs, sending him backward.
"Ugh!" Red exclaimed as he landed on his back.
"Hey! Wh-What the hell did you do to Red!?" Green exclaimed at Joker.
PHWICK! PHWICK! PHWICK!
"AUGH!"
"AAAH!"
"UGH!"
All three thugs went down on their knees as they felt a blow to their backs.
Green, Yellow, and Blue's bodies then started to feel…weird...like they were...
"H-Huh?" Yellow's face felt different...he touched where his nose would be...to see that he actually has a nose. He felt around his head as well, his whole head feeling like...
...Like they were all normal.
"Hey! My ears! What happened to my cool ears!?" Blue said in a frightened panic.
"Why...Why do I feel so different!?" Green said as he looked down at his hands.
"You know, you should all think about managing your priorities," said a cold voice. The voice of Overhaul as he, Mimic and Chronostasis came out behind from Loco. Overhaul and Chronostasis have their plague mask on, while Mimic was still in his suit. They also were carrying guns in each of their hands. "That or maybe this whole Villainry business is just too much for you all."
"W-Who the hell are you!?" Blue yelled at them.
"Who are we!? We're none other than the Yakuza, punk!" Irinaka boasted.
"Wow...our Quirk Erasure formula actually came through a lot quicker than I thought," Kurono muttered with surprise.
"Hm," Overhaul grunted in agreement, "Now the question is, what should we do with these delinquents?"
"Y-You son of a bitch!" Green exclaimed at Overhaul, "You'll pay for this!" he rushed up to the leader of the Shie Hassakai, about to punch him, when...
Kurono lowered his hoodie and let the ends of his hair turn into arrows, letting them stretch quickly toward Green and struck him!
"Augh!" Green's run then started to turn into a walk...until it looks like he was running in slow motion.
Once retracting his hair back, Kurono said, "There. He's all yours, Overhaul."
"Hm," Overhaul took one of his gloves off and reached out to Green, his fingers touching his forehead…
"Wha...What did you-!?" Green then exploded in a violent display of blood.
"GREEN!" the Blue and Yellow yelled out.
Red turned his head as he lay on the ground to see what happened to Green. His eyes widened in horror as he sees his teammate being turned into liquid blood.
"Oh, yoo-hoo! Don't let your eyes off your opponent!" exclaimed Joker.
Before Red could turn around-
WHAM!
Joker whacked him hard in the head with Hare's bat, knocking him out.
"RED!" The last two hollered out to their leader.
Once Overhaul manipulated Green and let his whole being evaporated, he told Chronostasis, "Kurono. Do your thing on these two."
"Yes sir."
Kurono's hair stretched into two arrow hair strands and struck Yellow and Blue.
"AH!"
"AUGH!"
"You know, I would expect your team to have some kind of bigger goal...I guess not," Overhaul then came up to them, touched their foreheads, and then closed his fist.
"AAAH-!"
They also exploded into blood, but Overhaul controlled the explosion and morphed their blood forms with the move of his fingers. He then let the blood evaporate into the air with an upward wave of his hand.
"Man, that Quirk is very handy," Cham said.
"Yeah. Talk about overhaulin' indeed," Rubber said.
"...I don't know if I should stab you for that, or just congratulate you on that joke, Rubber," Razor muttered, shaking his head.
Joker chuckled as he looked down at the unconscious Red with the bat in his hands, "And that, my dear minions, is another example of a plan coming into motion."
Overhaul, Chronostasis, and Mimic went up to Joker and the unconscious Red, the former staring down at the blonde man.
"So, any reason you're not going to kill him?" Overhaul asked Joker.
"Heh-heh-heh! My, you seem to know me quite well already!" Joker then gave the bat to Hare, who gladly took it with a lovestruck gaze at the clown(even though she was wearing the doll mask), "Well, simply put, I just want to have some fun with this one. But more importantly, now that we have tested this formula out, we can safely say that this was an absolute success!"
"Indeed it was," Overhaul nodded in agreement as he looked up at Joker, "And hopefully, the effects will be permanent?"
"One hundred percent!" Joker said with confidence.
"Hmm..." Overhaul nodded once more, "We really do commend you and your crew for all of your help so far."
"Why thank you," Joker said with a devious smile, "And I suppose this is the part where you backstab me and my crew because my job here is done?"
Irinaka and Kurono stiffened.
Razor, Cham, Rubber, Crystal, and Hare all glared at Overhaul and his two men, some getting their weapons out and preparing their weapons, just in case.
Overhaul just stood there…
And Joker just stood there with an evil smile...
"...I mean it. You helped us more than you know," Overhaul said in a calm and careful tone as he put his glove back on his hand, "In fact, I was going to propose you an offer."
"Oh?" Joker raised a brow with his smile still in place.
Irinaka and Kurono both glanced at each other, intrigued by this.
"Yes. You and your team have been a great asset to our cause. Quite frankly, I meant what I said back at the compound. You are fascinating. So much more, that I now have such high respect for you. And this is all in just one single day."
"Uh, O-Over-" Kurono began to say, but Overhaul interrupted him.
"Kurono. I am talking right now. You should know better," Overhaul corrected him in a low and dangerous tone.
"...Um...y-yessir," Kurono muttered, keeping quiet.
Irinaka looked a little bothered by all of this.
"As I was saying, you have done wonders for our organization. So much so, that I want to offer you a position, as well as your crew, into the Shie Hassaikai."
Irinaka took all his control to not exclaim in shock. Kurono looked surprised behind his mask.
"Huh? You offering us to join the Yakuza?" Crystal asked the leader.
"I am," Overhaul said without looking back at him, "Although, I know that you are all loyal to Joker, so I will do this; I will create a division in the Shie Hassaikai for Joker and you all. He will be your leader in this division, while I remain the sole boss of the organization. We will decide what to call this division when we return to our base. I only ask if you are willing to work with the Yakuza, Joker?"
All eyes were on the Joker at that point.
The Joker stood there, his demented smile still plastered on his face.
"...You know what? ...Sure," Joker answered with a wide grin.
"Excellent," Overhaul said with a nod, "We will go back to the compound and discuss it further from there."
"Oh, yes, that would be wise. Don't want to be out here too much longer what with all the commotion those posers made," Joker said as he looked down at the unconscious Red, "Although, I really do like to have some fun with this one, as I do have another idea to really shake up the Hero community...in fact..." he looked at Overhaul with a sinister grin, "How about...we go all in?"
"...Meaning?" Overhaul asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Well, I'm suggesting maybe we should try and lure some Heroes, as well as the big Hero himself, to show them all how this Quirk Erasure is a force to be reckoned with," Joker explained, "And what better way to make an impact than maybe kill some Heroes with this stuff and lure All Dope into the fray?"
"...You're thinking we should kill All Might sometime soon?" Overhaul asked.
"Well, obviously not now, of course! Maybe a little bit around late morning, or in the beginning of the afternoon tomorrow?" Joker suggested.
"...Hm..." Overhaul lowered his head to ponder it for a moment, "...Maybe...we should."
"Huh? U-Uh, Boss?" Irinaka looked at Overhaul, "Maybe that is a little too soon? I mean, we do have to plan it all out and whatnot-"
"We got plenty of time to plan," Overhaul interrupted, "We have until tomorrow to get it into motion. We just won't sleep."
"Um..." Kurono then decided to say, "With all due respect, Overhaul, while the formula has been proven to work, it just seems a little abrupt-"
"Then that's what it is. Abrupt. Abrupt enough to make us realize that soon, the time will be now to end this Hero disease, and take back the respect of the Yakuza," Overhaul noted seriously, "...As well as pay my debt."
Joker, who was still smiling, slightly raised an eyebrow at that last line, but said nothing.
"It's decided. We will begin our attack tomorrow," Overhaul declared.
"Well, I certainly can't wait for that event! Haha!" Joker cackled, "Wonderful! And you know..." Joker looked back down at Red, "I think I have some nice little bait to lure our fishes with."
"Hm. Do as you must, Joker," Overhaul said to the clown, "I trust that you will catch their attention."
"Oh, why thank you! I am quite creative when I want to be! Hahaha!" Joker cackled as he snapped his fingers, "Rubber, carry the meat bag."
"Sure thing, Boss!" Rubber then leaned over and scooped him up with his arm, slinging him on his shoulder.
"Hey, uh, what about this cash register here?" Crystal asked Joker.
"Oh, you can have it, Crys. I think money is out of the question now!" Joker told him with a grin.
"Ah, sweet!" Crystal said happily, turning around and picking up the counter and cash register.
"Now, we leave," Overhaul told them, "Meet us back at the compound, Joker. We'll discuss our deal from there."
"Sure thing!" Joker said with a two-finger salute, "Come on, folks! Last one there is a rotten egg! Hahaha!"
As soon as Joker and his crew rushed out of the alleyway, Overhaul turned around to his two subordinates and asked them, "You both seem to not trust Joker."
Kurono and Irinaka both froze.
"Uh...w-well, boss, you see-" Irinaka tried to explain, but Overhaul once again interrupted.
"Let's get one thing clear," Overhaul stated in a dark tone, "We are so close. Close enough to fulfill our goal to get rid of this disease that's festering not only in this city, but our country. And if we can market this stuff from other underground organizations not only in Japan but in other countries, then we will be highly praised for it. The Yakuza will be praised for being a dangerous power once again. We will have the respect that we will earn...and then, I will repay my debt to the old man...to the Bossman. Now, tell me, what part of this miraculous intervention that came barging through our door and offering their help with, does this make you uncomfortable?"
"...I..." Irinaka said nothing…
"...It's just...he's still a stranger, Overhaul," Kurono told him, "We don't even know his real name."
"And I prefer it that way," Overhaul said to him, "He is an enigma, I'll admit that...but there's one thing that Joker doesn't have."
The two looked at their leader, waiting for his answer.
"...He doesn't...have a Quirk. So in other words, he is no threat...yet, he is very valuable. His knowledge is outstanding, and his confidence is admirable. So with that said, if he even did try anything, which he won't, he will be obliterated...which I hope isn't the case. But I know he won't."
"...Uh...okay, Boss..." Irinaka simply says.
"...R-Right..." Kurono muttered.
"Now...let us go..." Overhaul took off his glove and placed his hand on the ground, making the ground level itself and lowering them down through the surface.
...Red woke up, his head pounding.
"Uuugh...what...what the...?" Red opened his conscious eyes and the first thing he saw...
…Was Joker standing in front of him, leaning down with his face close to his, a big evil grin on his features.
"ACK!" Red jumped back, but his back slammed against a surface.
It was then he found out...that he was strapped into a chair. His wrists were bounded by rope on the armchairs, and his legs were also bounded by rope on the chair legs as well. His whole torso was wrapped around with rope, making him immobile.
"H-Hey! W-What the hell, man!?" Red exclaimed at the Joker.
They were both in a room where there were no windows...and only one single light was on above them.
"Oh don't you worry your pretty little head about it, Red Herring," Joker stood up, his arms behind his back as he gave him the most twisted smile, "I think we're gonna have some fun at this point from here on in!"
"Wha...Wh-What are you gonna do to me!?" Red asked, visibly shaking in his seat, the fear coursing through his body.
"Oh, nothing! ...Yet," Joker then grabbed a seat that was nearby and sat down on it, letting his leg cross the other one, putting his hand on his outward knee, "So! Tell me about yourself!"
"...Wha? I...wha-uh, t-tell you about...myself?" Red asked him incredulously.
"Why of course!" Joker said like it was the most obvious thing as he leaned into his face level, "Like, your background in life, your dreams, your family, what your favorite color is! ...Actually, skip that last one, I think I have an idea of what that could be. Hahaha!"
"...Wha-what happened to my crew?" Red asked right off the bat.
"Oh, your crew? Well...let's just say that they're...high into the air," Joker pointed upward, "...or in their case, down in the low, if you get what I mean?" he then pointed downward.
"...They're...they're gone?" Red asked in horror.
"Well, my...ahem, Boss basically expired them, yes."
"..." Red looks to be in shock, "...Wh-Why? What would you do that? I'd rather be with my gang than just be left alive here! What are you gonna do to me!?"
"Well, as for why, that's just business, kiddo," Joker shrugged, "You should've known before becoming a Villain. And as for your last question...I'm going to do something so horrible, that you'll beg me to kill you."
Red looked on at Joker, his eyes widened in terror as he dreadfully anticipates what this madman is going to do to him.
"...I...am going to tell you a story!" Joker said with a happy grin, his hands to his side in a flashy fashion.
"...Wh-What?" Red blurted out.
"Oh yes! And I will start with one story that's probably true or maybe not so true! You decide!" Joker clapped his gloved hands together as he smiled wickedly, "Now...once upon a time...there was a boy. A boy who wished to be a Hero someday. But he had a hard life, because he was Quirkless. His mother was an absolute whore, and his father...his father was disappointed that the son didn't have a Quirk. So much that he degraded and insulted the boy, calling him a miserable excuse of wasted skin. But he kept the hope of becoming a Hero, just so he can show his father that he can...and he held onto that hope, when...one day, something happened. The boy saw that the mother was found out for sleeping with another man! The father got so enraged, that he beat her. Viciously. And meanwhile, the boy saw everything, wondering why his daddy was beating on mommy. And so, once he rendered her either unconscious or dead, he turned to the boy...and walked up to him...grabbing a knife while he did so...the boy didn't run, cause he was in total shock. The father kneeled down to the boy, his breath on him...the boy can smell the strong scent of alcohol out of his mouth...I probably should add that he was a drinker as well...and then...he put his thumbs in his mouth...stretching it into a smile."
Joker then slowly reached toward Red's face, the blonde breathing in a panic, as the clown's gloved thumbs went into his cheeks, the tips of his thumb barely grazing his teeth as he used his thumbs to make him an artificial smile.
"Like this! And then he said to the boy...What are you gonna do? You gonna be a Hero? You gonna fight your old man? You gonna teach me a lesson? …Lighten up, kid. I ain't your daddy anymore. You should be happy...happy that your daddy isn't a mean old man...so why...so...serious?"
And then, Joker got his right hand away from Red's mouth, reaching for the inside of his purple tux, and got out some kind of...stick-looking object.
"...And you know what happened next?" Joker asked Red.
"..." Red was horrified.
"..." Joker smirked evilly...pushed a button on the stick...letting a switchblade come out of the top of it. "...Well...he made sure he was happy."
And then...Joker put the blade in Red's mouth...
…And the agony began.
Gargled screams came from outside of the room...as well as cruel laughter.
- The Next Day -
Musutafu Police Headquarters
10:00 AM
Tsukauchi looked at the reports in question at his desk...
"..." he sighed, letting his hand rub his forehead, before letting it trace down to the bridge of his nose, "First there was a violent bank robbery, next a violent home invasion, and lastly, a convenience store robbery where the perpetrators have vanished without a trace, only with their truck being mysteriously crushed and left out in the open in an alleyway. All happening in the timeframe of just one day."
"Seems like it," Sansa nodded, "I don't know about the last crime, but do you think that one is linked to the previous ones?"
"Who knows at this point," Tsukauchi muttered, "...But I have a hunch that it could. The only lead we have is the blood on the ground that we found last night. A simple DNA search and we'll see if that truck belongs to the victim...or victims..." he groaned as he tossed the reports on his desk, "I wonder what life was like without Quirks for the police?"
"I would think a lot easier...but that's not saying much," Sansa answered.
"Hm. You think a superpowered society would make things a whole lot easier, but in reality, we're always going back to square one," Tsukauchi said as he shook his head, "Whoever this Joker individual is, he's a crafty one. I would be impressed with the guy not being detected yet if he wasn't a Villain."
"...You think this guy really is Quirkless from what that Midoriya kid said?" Sansa asked.
"...I think the Midoriya kid wouldn't lie to me like that...hm...in fact, he wasn't," Tsukauchi looked down at the papers on his desk, "I don't know why the news and media have to censor every single thing they have to report. I would think the whole public would want to know that a crazed Quirkless man is on the loose...actually, no. That would make the discrimination here even worse..." he sighed as he put his hand on his head, running it through his hair, "Honestly, I don't know what the appropriate thing would've been for that situation. It's just...it still isn't right."
"Well, either way, that Midoriya kid was the talk of the town last night, what with All Might calling him a True Hero," Sansa stated.
"...Yeah..." Tsukauchi pondered in his seat with narrowed eyes.
Really, Toshi, you should have known better than that. What if All For One was really still alive and watching the news at that time? I mean, it was honorable of the kid, but don't try to put too much attention on him.
"...I hope those kids will be alright," Tsukauchi noted.
"Hm? Oh, you mean the kids at the Yaoyorzu Estate? Hmm...yeah," Sansa lowered his head down as he sat in his seat, "Man, to witness something like that at their ages...I hope none of them are too traumatized."
"Hmm..." Tsukauchi got up from his seat, turned around, and looked out his wall-sized window, "I have no doubt that those kids will come back strong. Strong enough to withstand any disaster and tragedy...they dealt with the USJ incident back then, and from what I heard from Hosu City Police, the Midoriya kid, as well as the two boys with him, Iida and Todoroki, have dealt with Stain and...almost won. So I'm pretty certain those kids will bounce right back up, more determined than ever."
"...Yeah," Sansa nodded, "...Man, sometimes the old pre-Quirk days sound a lot simpler than what it is now. I mean, I remember being a kid and just...doing kid stuff, you know?"
"Hm...I wouldn't think the pre-Quirk days were all that peaceful," Tsukauchi said as he stared out the large window that overlooks the city, "There were still wars, conflicts, fights...I only shudder to think how some of the 'normal' people back in pre-Quirk eras would have to deal with this kind of case...how they would deal with this kind of criminal...this psychopath named Joker-"
WHA-THUMP!
"Wha-" Tsukauchi backed away from the window in surprise. Sansa got up from his seat in shock.
There...hanging by the neck...was a gruesome sight.
It was the dead body of Red…
But that wasn't what horrified them.
Sure, the dead body of someone would horrify anyone, but...it's what was done to the body.
As said before, the dead body of Red was hung by the neck like a person hanging from a noose. His whole skin was pale and his eyes were wide open, the look in his eyes lifeless, but at the same time, looking like he witnessed something terrible...
But what really horrified them...was what was on Red's face.
A smile.
But...it was carved into a smile. The corners of his mouth were sliced and sewn back together, making it look like a smiley face. There was black paint on the lines where the person carved the skin, and around the lips, the paint making it look like a goofy type of smile was pasted on his face. There was also red paint around the smiling lips, making him look like...a clown. In fact, his whole face was caked with white makeup, making him look like an actual clown.
There was also a paper 'KICK ME' sign that was hung around his neck as well.
Either way...it was shown in full view for the two detectives on the wall-sized window of Tsukauchi's office.
"...Holy shit..." Sansa quietly said in shock.
"...Get some men to the rooftop," Tsukauchi said in a grave tone, his eyes narrowed.
Once they got the body down on the ground, Tsukauchi and the police were already at the scene. There was a crowd there as well, looking on at the scene in horror and wonder.
As it reached the ground, Tsukauchi went over to the body, and with his gloves on, picked up the paper sign, tearing it off and looking at the words.
"..." He turned the sign over.
There read another message.
Be grateful that I didn't carve up the girl...by the way, does this man look like ALL MIGHT to you?
Meet us at the docks an hour from now for a little showdown. Gather your best Heroes...even the one that's ALL TALK.
-Joker
"...Get All Might on the phone," Tsukauchi informed his colleagues.
Now we're getting somewhere! X)
By the way, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! :D
