Rocky would be looking out the window, having woke up early and now waiting for Ace to wake as well, he decided to think in his mind for a bit as he let out a sigh
Rocky: - (Mom, dad, I don't know where you are, but I finally have a friend who will sign up for the guild with me. I hope I can find you both one day. I really miss you.)
Suddenly, a yell could be heard from behind. Rocky jumps in panic, having snapped himself out of thought and back into reality. He goes over to Ace, who is now looking over his hand, worried about what happened
Rocky: - Are you okay, Ace?
Ace: - Not really, just had a bad dream. He said, looking over to Rocky
Rocky: - Want to talk about it?
Ace: - I guess. No use keeping this problem to myself. So, in the dream, I was in a white room. I looked around and saw this shadow. He looked like some Pokémon, but I couldn't make out what it was, it kept coming closer and it kept saying my name over and over again. When it got close, I woke up.
Rocky: - Woah, that's some scary dream...but don't worry, you're fine now, Ace.
Soon enough, silence filled the room until suddenly, Ace's stomach growls under the silence, Rocky giggles a bit at this
Rocky: - Want to go get breakfast with me, Ace?
Ace: - Heh, I'll take you on that offer.
Rocky: - Alright then, let's go!
Ace and Rocky started to walk to get breakfast at Flareon Fire Diner. As they were walking, Rocky looked over at Ace to ask him something.
Rocky: - Ah Ace, I wanted to ask if you wanted to form a team with me and join the guild?
Ace looked at Rocky questionably, he didn't even know what a guild was to begin with
Ace: - Rocky, what is a guild?
Rocky: - Wait? You don't know?
Ace: - Nope, not at all.
Rocky: - Wow, I guess you must have hit your head a lot harder than I thought He said, jokingly
Ace: - Hey! Ace replied, with a slight angered tone, Rocky giggled at this as well
Rocky: - Hey, I'm only kidding, I know about your amnesia. Anyways, guilds are basically places where many mons work together in teams to rescue others, help find lost items, and take down big bad criminals.
Ace: - Oh, so it's like a saving lives and helping others kind of deal. I think I heard about something like that. Ace replied, trying to remember exactly
Rocky: - And the best part about joining a guild is that you get to explore mysterious dungeons, though no one really knows how they became dungeons in the first place. It's all a mystery to us all. How is your memory doing, by the way? Anything come up? He said, checking as he tilted his head to see If Ace at least remembered something
Ace: - Uh, not much really. I wish I could've figured out more, but I can't really think of anything else.
He replied, only thinking curiously if he should ever mention if he was human. He figured he might as well
Ace: - Hey, can I ask-
?: - So, have you heard of the disaster that happened yesterday?
This cuts off Ace as both mons who were heading to the Diner for breakfast, were curious and looked over to see who was speaking, it was a Blastoise and a Pangoro, who were over by the village they entered
Pangoro: - Yea, so I heard. Must've been big, don't you think?
Blastoise: - About that, I wonder if a human caused it by coming to this world… With a very annoyed tone …as per usual.
Pangoro: - Yeah, it's rather unfortunate. We just have to figure out who the human is and kill them before they cause more havoc in the world than has already happened.
Ace, now rather confused about this, walked up to the two, wondering more about the problem with humans
Ace: - Hey, what's this about a human causing destruction and problems?
Blastoise: - Oh, you don't know? In the past, every time a human came into the world, a disaster followed. Sure, they may have saved our world from time to time, but they are the sole reason we have messes in the first place.
Pangoro: - They have probably appeared in the world by now, so I say we must find them and put a stop to them before they cause some destruction that they have to clean for their own clout.
Ace: - Humans have been here before, and they take credit for fixing what they destroyed?
Pangoro: - That's how the story always goes. Always trying to be good, but causing destruction no matter what. You haven't seen any humans turned into Pokémon round here, have you?
Ace: - (No. This can't be true. Nothing devastating has even happened since I came here.)
Rocky butts in, trying to think specifically if there were any humans. Ace on the other hand, seemed really stressed of how HE of all people could be causing a destruction overall. Rocky noticed this, but didn't want to say much and said:
Rocky: - No, not that we know about, but we will keep an eye out for them.
Pangoro: - Well if you see them, contact the police and they will handle it.
Ace, however, didn't want to stress himself out much and tried to forget the idea, so he figured he would change the situation before they figured something out
Ace: - Hey Rocky, you said you were going to take me to the restaurant, right? You think we could go there now? I'm really starving. He said, a little worried about staying here
Rocky got curious as to why Ace sounds worried about the problem with getting rid of humans but figured he would wait until they were out of the way. After a good enough distance away from the two mons, he began to ask his question.
Rocky: - Hey, Ace? Why were you so worried about the fact that we need to kill all humans? Is there something wrong?
Ace now a little bit calmer, figured he needed to be open minded as he turned to Rocky
Ace: - Well, about that. What do you think of humans? I honestly don't believe they would really do such things.
Rocky: - Well, maybe something happened between them and humans, but I've never seen them do any harm. They always save the world every now and then. Personally, I don't think humans are all that bad.
Ace looked up, feeling more happier and calmer as he said that, letting out a sigh of relief
Ace: - Well, can I tell you the reason later? I really wasn't kidding about me starving.
Rocky: - Oh yea, we should eat now. We don't want to work with an empty stomach. He said, respecting his wish to wait, as they headed over to the café called the Flareon Fire Diner, which served breakfast, lunch, and dinner at their respectable times. They went inside to see a small crowd of mons filled up the place.
Rocky: - Welp, here we are, Flareon Fire Diner! One of the best places to go to eat! Everything's great here.
Ace: - Yeah, the food here must be amazing. This place is packed. So many peo- I mean Pokémon here.
Soon enough a mon would come up to them, a Meowth who seemed to be a waitress,
Meowth: - Hey. How many?
Rocky: - Oh, just the two of us here.
Meowth: - Perfect, right this way.
Ace and Rocky followed the Meowth. After a few minutes of them sitting down and looking through the menu, she took their orders. Rocky asked for some eggs, while Ace asked for pancakes
Meowth: - Alright, sounds good. I'll be with you shortly.
As the Meowth left, it only just left the two of them by themselves while everyone else was around, but really, they could only hear each other, Rocky thought it would be a good time to bring up the issue from before while they waited so he asked
Rocky: - Hey Ace?
Ace: - What is it, Rocky?
Rocky: - Say, while we wait for our food, do you wanna talk about the issue you had before; you know, that sensitive topic we were discussing?
Ace: - Yea. Well, it's just- He was interrupted as the Meowth returned with 2 glasses of water
Meowth: - Sorry to interrupt, but here are your waters. She said as she handed the waters to both of them
Rocky: - Ah, thank you. He said, taking his water.
Ace also took his water as the Waitress left, leaving him to continue his story while Rocky sipped on his drink
Ace: - As I was saying, the reason I asked you about humans causing destruction to this world is, well, I was a human
Rocky blinked at Ace a little stupidly, before taking everything in on what he said, spitting his drink of water onto Ace (Hey, at least he didn't use Water Gun, that would hurt probably. :p)
Rocky: - You were WHAT?! He said in such a surprised tone, before he noticed Ace was 'a little' wet from spitting onto him, giving a slight chuckle upon what he was guilty for
Ace: - Not funny Rocky, you didn't need to do that. He said in a slight angered tone, shaking out of instinct which got Rocky wet
Ace: - (Serves him right for thinking that was funny)
Rocky: - Hehe, sorry
Ace: - Yeah, I was, but I don't remember doing any of those things, and I never would've thought that humans could cause any trouble here, but you don't actually believe me, do you? He said, getting a little upset, worried Rocky might just call him a fraud.
Rocky on the other hand, was thinking more and more about it. Trying to remember the past events as to what happened yesterday and today
Rocky: - Well, considering how you fell from the sky and that you lost your memory, which let me tell you, is hard to believe; but then I noticed you were freaking out so much about them talking about humans...
Rocky thought, then looked back at him and smiled, nodding at him
Rocky: - Yea...I believe your story.
Ace: - You do?
Rocky: - Yes, Ace. Do you think we should keep this a secret? Considering how those two were talking about it?
Ace: - Yes, we definitely should.
Just then, the head chef came to Ace and Rocky instead of the waitress
Flareon: - I wanted to bring you 2 your food myself, you guys are the 100th table of the day. You guys will be getting a 50% discount on your bill. I hope you like it.
Rocky: - Oh Sweet, thanks!
Ace: - Yea! That's awesome!
They both said, which fixed up their mood to be a happier tone from before
Flareon then serves them both the food to Ace and Rocky, they both look excitedly at their servings as the head chef smiled
Flareon: - I hope you enjoy your meals.
Ace: - Thanks!
Rocky digs into his food.
The Flareon nods and heads back to the kitchen
Rocky: - Man, this is even better than what I've heard, and we got a discount on top of that! Today must be our lucky day! He said with a smile, taking a bite out of his eggs and enjoying it
Ace on the other hand, looked over at his food curiously, then slowly taking a bite, before he would remember something
Ace: - Ah...! He would suddenly be brought into a flashback, where he remembers someone serving him pancakes for breakfast before, and sees a figure that looks like his mother, but he can't seem to make it out, but the pancakes seemed delicious to him. So delicious that he ate more before snapping back to reality suddenly by Rocky speaking over his vision
Rocky: - Ace? Ace, are you okay? He said, a little worried, it seemed he was almost finished with his eggs
Ace would look around, trying to remember where he was, yep seemed like he was back
Ace: - (What was that dream? Was it something about my life before?) He thought before looking over at Rocky
Ace: - I uhh, I felt like I remembered something
Rocky: - Wait you do?! What do you remember? He said with shock, hoping something would come up hopefully
Ace: - Well it's just, these pancakes, they reminded me of something that I used to have before. It somehow feels so… familiar, as if I really liked to eat this for breakfast
Rocky: - Oh, well at least it's something, right?
Ace: - Yea, it is Ace replied, finishing up his food as well
Rocky would then pay for the expenses for the both of them, knowing Ace really didn't have any usable money on him getting dropped into this world, and they started to head back to their home. Rocky would try to ask again, hoping to get an answer for Ace to join the guild
Rocky: - Hey Ace?
Ace: - What is it, Rocky? He said, turning over to look at him
Rocky: - Well, I never got your answer from before. Do you want to join the guild with me?
Ace: - Oh that, uhh He would be pondering the idea a bit, before nodding happily
Ace: - Sure, I'll join you. Sounds like fun.
Rocky, getting happier, jumps around in excitement as they walked home
Rocky: - That's awesome! We will become the best explorers ever!
As Rocky said this, his Happiness was so infections that it caused Ace to smile a bit at Rocky's happiness
